Home Continent:

Personality:
Outwardly charming and a true gentleman in the right company, August isn’t one to be taken at face value. As with all people of wealth and power, they hide behind many false faces, some more sinister then others. August hides behind a mask of bold chivalry and debonair, his refined manners, sharp intellect, and silver tongue camouflages his deviltry that resides within the deepest, darkest reaches of the aristocrat’s heart. He’s a driven, calculating man, polluted with ambition and a desire to secure his place in a society of ‘dog eat dogs’. Years of studying occult texts and secret volumes, mixed with ceremony and his own privileged upbringing has turned him into a cold creature in the soul – detached from the emotions of the colorful classes, which are too far beneath him, for him, to share their loathsome flaws.
Appearance:
As with all nobles, August dresses pompous and extravagant. His clothes are constructed of the finest materials, leathers and silks. They’re comfortable, custom fit, and appear to repel dirt and grime like some magical material. He's clad in dark tones, grays and blacks, with white highlights. Like a monotone photograph.
Equipment:
The Eastern Star: The hallmark of the modern inventor, this blunderbuss style rifle is an amazing feat of engineering, even by the standards of the most advanced cultures. It has a basic wood stock, polished and ornately designed to which the breech and heart of the weapon rest. Outwardly, the rifle looks chaotic and eccentric, various do-dads, tubes, coils, fuses, and reservoirs of glass, brass, and copper litter its surface while the barrel flares out in a funnel of coils. But at its core, it utilizes a combination of Mist and various magical properties to generate offensive capabilities. Instead of using common chemical and gas cartage rounds, the Eastern Star creates its own ammunition by channeling the Mist into a ray, and coupled with its other properties can alter the end result to suit its users needs with only a few turns of a dial. The standard attack from this rifle has a similar effect to being hit with a localized and potent energy shot with penetration capabilities comparable to that of a bullet, though it doesn’t suffer from the loss of kinetic energy solid state projects have upon hitting armor.
The Square and Level: A pistol constructed using the Eastern Star design as a base, August has miniaturized his design for a pistol variant. Incorporating a heavy duty onboard reactor and particle accelerator plus feed boosters allows greater power bursts through the narrow field ring focuser. It shares many of its same properties as the Eastern Star, except without the spell augmentable shots and overcharge. Instead, this pistol does something else unique. With a slide of a lever beside the trigger guard, August can fire three beams at once. Creating a small three shot spread which has a small chance to hit multiple opponents if they are tightly grouped.
The Blazing Star: A grenade like device created by August in his laboratory using various chemical and explosive components housed into a brass and glass cylinder. Once set, August has a few seconds to throw it and its resulting bang and flash greatly reduces an opponent's coherency for one post, be they in groups or solo. For one turn, the opponent/s will suffer from Blindness, Confusion, and Silence *note that these are non-magic effects. This is effective in allowing August to either get the drop on an enemy or flee quickly from one. It's effectiveness in wide open spaces or outside is reduced and will only affect the one closest to the blast instead of an entire group. Due to their weight, he can only carry two per thread.
Wrist-strapped 4-barrel pistol "Pepper-Gun": It is impractical to continuously carry the Eastern Star around with him day to day, so August has constructed a simple close range pistol that is conveniently hidden under his left sleeve. It uses small caliber rounds, 4 of them, that are fired simultaneously with a simple tap from a finger. Once fired, it must be manually reloaded which makes its combat use negligible and impractical. It’s purely a close-range defensive and last resort weapon. A noble must be careful while walking the streets of Treno.
On his right ring-finger he has a single gold signet ring, etched with the symbol of his society’s craft. It looks harmless enough, just a mark to show his influence and power to others, and as a symbol of his status within the secret order. Yet, buried in its cryptic scripts may lie a power yet untapped.
His long frock-coat can also house various potions and items.
Combat Abilities:
Level 1 Slots:
Square:
Shots fired from the Square and Level pistol has the attack word count applied to up to 3 targets within close proximity to one another. Successful hits reduce damage reduction CA's by 25% and increase Word Count to evade by 25% upon the target.
Blighted Burden:
Using the power of the Solomons Blight August can now transfer dark power into Kane his manservant. When this happens. Kane becomes somewhat of a Juggernaut. Allowing August to effectively use Kane as a weapon. Whilst this dark power is within Kane, his strength is incredible. Allowing each blow of his to deal 1.5 damage instead of the regular 1. Kane may also absorb at least 2 attacks for August, after this. Kane can continue to fight. However he cannot take hits for his master.
Unnatural Selection:
This specialized shot causes both normal damage from the Eastern Star rifle, as well as a producing a single negative status effect upon the target. This is done by merely turning a dial on the rifle to correspond with the desired status effect, altering the ray’s properties. Currently the rifle only has two alternative settings: Zombie and Immobilize. After firing with a particular setting, it takes a short while before that status can become available again as its magical properties have to condense in order to be discharged once more. August’s personal favorite is Zombie, which causes healing spells and items to inversely hurt the victim. {weapon/ activated}
”The Smug Snake”:
August has the uncanny ability to go against overwhelming odds and come out on top. Years dealing in the dog eat dog world of nobles has trained him well in understanding an opponents strengths and weaknesses, either in business or the battlefield. Yet his young and brash nature has made him still overconfident and cocky while exhibiting an overwhelming disdain for all he sees as below him and that still makes him unrefined from his truest potential. All this combined has given August the ability to be unaffected by tier 1 spells or Combat Abilities by any opponent of a lower social class than him – which includes the proletariat and bourgeois. {Passive/trait}
Widow’s Son:
Overcharging the Eastern Star, August creates a powerful ray burst that explodes out with extreme force – to the point that it can even throw August off his feet. This blast hits the opponent with the power of a mule kick and leaves them with Heat damage – making future movements painful and arduous for the victim for a brief time. It takes several minutes for the Eastern Star to build up enough charge to perform this attack again. {weapon/activated}
Mark of Metatron:
The power in August’s signet ring has finally been unlocked granting him supremacy over dark forces that abound this world and others. The ring grants August an increase offensive and defensive capabilities against Lucavi, demons, devils, and other dark archetype races – regardless of their alignments. The rings power resonates softly.
Offensive: All spells act as a tier higher when battling these creatures with slightly increased weapon damage as well.
Defensive: All attacks and combat abilities by these races/classes cannot auto hit and must be countered as normal.
{Passive/Defensive}.
Kane's Assistance:
Should August fall in battle, his dutiful assistant Kane, will emerge from wherever he may be lurking and cast Life upon August, reviving him. Kane will then retreat back. This can only be done once per thread. {activated}
Winter's Chill: After defeating Frosty the Snowman your character felt a sudden chill go up their spine. As if when defeated, Frosty passed on some of his evil powers to you. You now find yourself far stronger when using ice based attacks. (all ice attacks will be counted as a level higher when using them , ex) Blizzard = Blizzara). On top of this your overall strength and speed are increased. - This cannot be upgraded.
Fallen to Caïna:
August’s despicable murder of his mother and father has left his soul tainted, marked forever with icy shame. A traitor to his kindred, his very family, August will forever be encased in the cold ice of Cocytus up to his face and this horrendous act has left a mark on him in this world. August’s dark and space-time based magic and attacks have increased in power, infused with the horror of his actions and the eternity of suffering he will face. A side effect of this taint allows August to have all space-time and dark magic act as one tier higher. (Gravity = Gravira, Dark = Darkara, etc…){Passive}
Level 2 Slots:
Widow's Son: Having tweaked with the Eastern Star, the overcharge has been augmented as well, changing its parameters. With this change, the overcharge not only does its upgraded base damage from the shot and inflicts Heat upon the target, it also deals an additional effect. The magical properties of the Mist generate the spell 'Flare' through the shot. It takes several minutes for the Eastern Star to build up enough charge to perform this attack again. {weapon/activated}
Level:
With an energy recalibration, in addition to the rank 1 effects, the energy in the pistol has been upgraded. Each shot is charged with electromagnetic energy. Successful hits reduce damage reduction CA's by 30% and increase Word Count to evade by 30% upon the target. Next hit deals a bonus .2 damage for remainder of combat.
The Yellow Sign:
The power in August’s signet ring has grown, unlocking further, potent powers against dark races, exhibiting a certain influence and understanding over them through authoritative aura. At the beginning of combat, the first Lucavian, demon, devil, etc… to get a hit, that would otherwise be successful, against August will immediately trigger an area-effect similar to Stop and all demons, etc… will be rendered unable to move their legs or attack August for a round of combat. They are still able to resist attacks, but all offensive capabilities are sealed. The ring resonates strongly. {Passive/Defensive}
Unnatural Selection v.2:
Tinkering more with the properties of Mist and augmenting the Eastern Star, August has unlocked new abilities buried within the rifle that can be accessed with the turn dial. These new effects are: Silence and Blind. He can now also simultaneously hit an opponent with both status effects of the previous tier in a single shot (in this case inflicting Zombie and Immobilize).The Eastern Star has also increased slightly in attack power. {weapon/activated}
“The Chessmaster”:
Further learning how to handle himself in the ever cut-throat world of nobles, August has become far more calculating and less brash about his actions, though he still isn’t without faults. On top of his ability in the previous tier, he now can avoid one tier 2 spell and combat ability per thread from one opponent of a lower social class than him – despite the word count. After these initial dodges, all tier 2 spells and combat abilities will be half as effective against him by members of the proletariat and bourgeois. {Passive/trait}
Fallen To Ptolomae:
August’s despicable actions towards his friend, Asher Gheri, has doomed him to this horrendous layer of the underworld where he’ll lay supine in the icy river, his body covered over except for his face. It is said that those who are doomed to this afterlife have their bodies possessed by a demon in life and is no longer capable of repentance – not that August would ever repent. Perhaps August has indeed been possessed by some sort of demonic abhorrence, yet either way, this taint has left August with some special properties. This encasing of ice has granted August greater strength to resist attacks, netting him two more points to his health, as well as now only taking three-quarter damage from hits.
Effects: +2 hp, and physical hits count as 75% towards the 1 strike count. {passive/defensive}
A Butler's Work:
The dutiful Kane will come to August’s aid when August becomes weakened (hp drops to 2); Kane will auto-summon to the battlefield to deliver a pounding upon the poor ‘urchin’. Kane’s burly, filing cabinet crossed with a semi-truck body will wallop August’s opponent by first charging at them from outside the battlefield, attempt a choke-hold grab, then proceed to slam them into the ground repeatedly – breaking their bones. This has the effect of strong physical damage and causes Slow and Disable (Can move, but is unable to physically attack) on the target for two round unless healed. There is also a slight chance that the attack will cast Death upon the target if the target is significantly weaker than Kane (admin's discretion). Kane will then depart. If Kane has already been summoned from the Blight and remains on the battlefield, he may preform this attack once a thread no matter what August's HP is at.{Auto-cast}{Offensive}
Blighted Intellect:
Despite the power of the blight having a more profound effect on the bodies of his blighted cohorts. Augusts mind seems to be the thing most effected by the Solomons blight. However, due to the lack of a negative evolution this cannot be considered as a bad thing. Rather this evolution has unlocked August's " Inner potential" so to speak. By opening up another portion of his brain for use. August has gained a power akin to foresight. During battle, August is able to tell just when a melee attack is going to strike by seeing 4 seconds into the future. This ability grants him an amazing bonus to dodge. 70% discount when dodging all kinds of attacks.
Level 3 Slots:
Unnatural Selection v.3:
The Eastern Star has finally been perfected, after months of testing and retesting, tweaking, and finally backwards engineering the strange Zanarkand device from the auction house to use in the rifle. This device has allowed for the harnessing of the truest power of Mist, making the Eastern Star’s standard attack extremely powerful with high energy output. The turn dial also now has two new powerful abilities: Addle and X-Zone. Addle stops the use of all Combat Abilities by a target for two rounds - August sacrifices a half of his experience earned in the post to use. X-Zone temporarily sends an opponent into the Interdimensional Rift or “The Void”, normally this would make the opponent forever lost in time and space but the Eastern Star’s power isn’t strong enough to make it permanent, so the opponent is pulled back into normal space-time after a few seconds. This causes the target to suffer extraordinary Gravity damage while confusing and silences them, preventing the use of spells or summons for two turns – August must sacrifice all his experience earned in the post for the use of X-Zone. The rifle can also simultaneously fire two of the previous tiers status-effects with a single shot now (though not injunction with the tier 3 effects).
{weapon/activated}
Widow’s Son:
Now, with the Eastern Star tuned and perfected, the overcharge has reached its most powerful state. On top of all the previous effects, the overcharge now has a spread effect with its blast. When fired, the blast spreads out to hit multiple targets with the effects of the previous tiers, plus even more added strength behind the blast. The rifle is capable of penetrating a building at this point, tearing through it as if it was made of paper-mâché. 2 turn cooldown. {Activated/Weapon/AOE}
“The Magnificent Bastard”:
August is truly a bastard, a sinister socialite, a cultured fiend. Well groomed and experienced, a master of his domain. This let’s August make an additional direct hit (non-deadly) against an opponent of the lower social class per thread. His affluence and social power also makes it extremely hard for members of the lower classes to defeat or kill him, when up against only one opponent of this class level, August can choose, before his defeat, to flee the thread before being struck down, sacrificing half of the experienced earned in the thread to do so. Because they are deeply routed personality and character traits, all three tiers cannot be sealed away by any means nor be absorbed or turned back against August. {Passive/Trait}
Fallen to Judecca:
Encased forever in ice, frozen for eternity but conscious to the suffering – in a never ending cycle of despair. Left here for his traitorous acts against gods and country, he forever is sealed entirely in ice, encased in a frozen tomb. This tomb of ice has granted August a unique ability. Now August can, whenever encountering a form of energy from a combat ability or spell, a shield is automatically erected which drains the energy from the spell or attack, thus nullifying it. Then, during the next turn the shield will stave off any physical attack. This can be used once a thread.
Effect: Shields a powerful energy based CA or spell and in the next turn, automatically prevents physical attacks - energy/spell attacks are treated as normal. {passive/activated}
Blighted Hierarchy:
The positive effects of Augusts blight evolution have now taken full hold. Developing his powers to suit his own attitude. As a captain of industry and an intellectual above all things. Augusts mind has been enhanced over his body. Whilst the majority of this power comes in the form of the mild glimpses of the future he gets during combat. It had now evolved into a secondary state. August can command his own blight to receive visions of the future up to a month in advance. This allows him a massive advantage in the stock markets. But also in other, more secretive areas.
Seal of Celephaïs:
With the ring now exercising extreme control over demonic type forces, August can now summon forth a demonic creature from the neither region once per thread. This demon will fight for August for three rounds before August’s control will break, causing the demon to attack randomly and wildly till defeated. It requires 3000 combined words by either side of the fight to banish the demon once the control has been severed. {Passive/Offensive/Summon}
“The Dutiful Servant”::
Kane comes to August’s side permanently in battle. He will engage the enemy/s with physical attacks, treated the same as a Martial Artist. He can cast various spells on August should he need it and otherwise assist in the battle. If Kane takes debilitating damage, he will retreat at the discretion of August. While Kane is in battle, August will loss 5% exp from each post. Can combine with Blighted Burden.
-4hp
-Spells: Shell, Cure, Life, Dispel, Protect.
-CA: Butler’s Work: As described in Tier 2; Kung-Fu Grip: A basic grab technique, can temporarily immobilize an opponent – takes 300 words to break free. Judo Chop: A powerful hand strike, if successful will leave the opponent temporarily paralyzed in an effect similar to the spell Stop (Usable only twice per battle and only against different PCs); Throwing Hat Trick: Ranged attack, Kane throws his bowler hat, dealing 1.2 damage and stunning (unable to use spells or CAs) the target for 1 round.
Fine Tuning:
The pistol cannot be disabled by magical or otherworldly means, but it can still be damaged physically. Successful hits reduce damage reduction CA's by 50% and increase Word Count to evade by 50% upon the target. Next hit deals a bonus .5 damage for remainder of combat. Shots Ignore Agile Characters [Admin decide if character classes as Agile] evasion bonus if sole target [cannot be used successively].

History:
August Randolph Krasnow, soon to be heir to the Krasnow fortune and typical trust-fund baby. August was born the youngest of five step-children in Treno, and as a result was the least liked by his siblings. He is the product of a remarriage; following the unexpected death of his father’s first wife, he soon married his mistress, a gorgeous and young Vieran woman. After his birth, it soon became clear that August was the sparkle in the eye of his father, the favorite. This caused his half-siblings to resent him, resulting in August growing up relatively detached from his bitter brothers and sisters. He was also a considerable number of years younger then them as well, by fifteen years to the oldest. With his other siblings already independent enough not to need the attention of their father, time could be devoted to August entirely. Pampered and sent through the best schools, August became everything his father wanted from a son. He’s intelligent, athletic, handsome, truly a magnificent bastard in the making.
Years continued like this, prepped for the life of aristocracy like how a soldier is trained for battle, nothing was overlooked. He attended a number of specialized schools, studying a wide range of subjects from philosophy, sciences, literature, to combat and magic. No aspect or avenue was left untrodden to refine the boy. During his teens, his father brought him closer into the inner circles of high-society, those dark recesses of the civilized world where only the chosen may divulge. Forbidden knowledge became August’s next area of study, the hidden histories of Gaia and the interconnectedness of all realms to this one became his bed-fellows. It would be his duty, one day, to be indoctrinated into the clandestine society of his father and his father before that, which he was more than eager and ready for when it came on his eightieth birthday.
Now, ten years later, his father lays on his death bed, senile from age and untreated syphilis. His siblings are off creating their own fortunes, comfortable in the knowledge that their dying father will leave to them an even more sizable fortune to augment their already growing wealth; while his mother spends her time shopping away a fortune and pampering herself with the rest of the shallow wives of the nobles at the cafés and clubs, clueless and carefree. August, however, spends his time on the family estate, tinkering away with his creations and studying forgotten knowledge; while clandestinely making sure everything is set in motion to secure his wealth and thereby securing his power and influence among the elite.
RP sample:
”Mr. Krasnow, sir. Your weapon.” A burly bald butler, dressed in white and black wearing delicate white gloves hands off the peculiar rife, The Eastern Star, to a Burmecian in black. August takes the rifle in hand, checking over its various pieces and parts one last time before this most crucial test fire. If today’s test-fire goes well, he can stick it to those boys down at the social club. A bet of ten-thousand gil wagered on today’s test, and he refuses to loss to those uncouth buffoons suckling at their family’s teat. August hates to loose, he struggled to secure a place in this cut-throat world he happened to be born into, a child of controversy and loathed by all his family, say for his syphilis mad father and socialite boozing mother. This was another chance to prove that birth rank didn’t mean everything, that a sharp mind could supplement that, and then some.
It was the early morning, but in Treno there is only one time of day – night, so it did not truly matter what time the clock said. August stood outside on his estate's lawn along with his trusted butler, Kane. A burly man that was as much a butler as a body guard, his formidable frame kept all but the most ornery of trouble makers at a distance. He rarely spoke, unless addressing August, and that is exactly how August liked it. On the lawn, ten yards was a blue Mu, snared and trapped. They are annoying little squirrel like beast that has a nasty tendency to destroy lawns, and conveniently, quite dim witted. It was a simple, obvious snare, August finds himself amazed that the little beast actually fell for it. Certainly is fortunate for him, unfortunate for the Mu.
August checks over the rifle once more, the slightly little mishap could cause it to backfire, explode, or any number of problems which he wished not to have happen near his face and in his hands. Once confident in the rifle’s status, he raises it, butt firmly in his shoulder’s pocket. He takes a moment to aim the weapon at the Mu, breathing steady. “Test fire one.” Squints his eye and squeezes the trigger, causing the weapon to make a peculiar sound, like that of steam driving through a pipe causing a little turbine to spin. It glass fuses glows in that instant with a faint, sickly yellow as a just barely visible beam bursts out with hardly a kick or sound.
The ray strikes the Mu, piercing through its tiny body like a bullet made of fire, leaving a smoking hole in its gut. It struggles for a brief moment, kicking and flailing on the ground as it struggles for another brief moment of life till eventually the beast slows and grows still.
“Excellent! Just as my equations stated, perfect resonance, no significant wavering in the field ionic and the Mist condensed as to my expectations. Stupendous, could not have asked for a better trial. Kane, resurrect the beast.”
Kane nods as he raise his palm to the fallen fiend, white and green energy swirls around his hand as he channels a Life spell. A faint light, without a discernable source emits from the sky above the dead Mu as its gaping wound seals and it stirs back to life. When the light fades, the Mu jumps back up, quite confused and nervous. It shakes and hops about, trying to free itself from the snare once more.
With a delighted grin, August raises the rife up and takes aim down its sight. A flick of his finger against a tiny dial near the trigger adjusts the rifle to a new setting, “zombie”, one of its many unique features. “Test fire two, ray augmentation A.” He squeezes the trigger and sends another blast of the ray gun at the rabbit, this time it emits a faint greenish hue. The blast strikes the Mu in the leg, cleaving it clear off but freeing it from the snare. The Mu yelps in agony and as its body begins to grow pale and red, slowly rotting, it tries to stagger away for its life. August lowers the rifle and watches the Mu attempt to flee, he frowns sarcastically. “Seems the poor thing needs some help, what do you make of it, Kane?”
“Perhaps, young master.”
“I agree, best correct this mistake of my poor accuracy, least let the beast suffer cruelly.” August slumps the rifle to his side, letting it dangle from his left hand towards the ground, while his right is raised, following the Mu’s slow path of escape. “Cure!” A burst of green magic shoots forth from his hand and envelops the three-limbed Mu, causing it to explode in a gory mess. August nods, satisfied with the results of the first field test of his newest creation.
“Well, time for breakfast before I head down to the club to collect my winnings. Let us retreat inside for now, Kane. Come!” Leaving the bloody mess for the gardeners, the two head inside the manor for a well deserved meal.

Overcharging the Eastern Star, August creates a powerful ray burst that explodes out with extreme force – to the point that it can even throw August off his feet. This blast hits the opponent with the power of a mule kick and leaves them with Heat damage – making future movements painful and arduous for the victim for a brief time. It takes several minutes for the Eastern Star to build up enough charge to perform this attack again. {weapon/activated}
Should August fall in battle, his dutiful assistant Kane, will emerge from wherever he may be lurking and cast Life upon August, reviving him. Kane will then retreat back. This can only be done once per thread. {activated}
August’s despicable murder of his mother and father has left his soul tainted, marked forever with icy shame. A traitor to his kindred, his very family, August will forever be encased in the cold ice of Cocytus up to his face and this horrendous act has left a mark on him in this world. August’s dark and space-time based magic and attacks have increased in power, infused with the horror of his actions and the eternity of suffering he will face. A side effect of this taint allows August to have all space-time and dark magic act as one tier higher. (Gravity = Gravira, Dark = Darkara, etc…){Passive}
Level 2 Slots:
Widow's Son: Having tweaked with the Eastern Star, the overcharge has been augmented as well, changing its parameters. With this change, the overcharge not only does its upgraded base damage from the shot and inflicts Heat upon the target, it also deals an additional effect. The magical properties of the Mist generate the spell 'Flare' through the shot. It takes several minutes for the Eastern Star to build up enough charge to perform this attack again. {weapon/activated}
The power in August’s signet ring has grown, unlocking further, potent powers against dark races, exhibiting a certain influence and understanding over them through authoritative aura. At the beginning of combat, the first Lucavian, demon, devil, etc… to get a hit, that would otherwise be successful, against August will immediately trigger an area-effect similar to Stop and all demons, etc… will be rendered unable to move their legs or attack August for a round of combat. They are still able to resist attacks, but all offensive capabilities are sealed. The ring resonates strongly. {Passive/Defensive}
Unnatural Selection v.2:
Tinkering more with the properties of Mist and augmenting the Eastern Star, August has unlocked new abilities buried within the rifle that can be accessed with the turn dial. These new effects are: Silence and Blind. He can now also simultaneously hit an opponent with both status effects of the previous tier in a single shot (in this case inflicting Zombie and Immobilize).The Eastern Star has also increased slightly in attack power. {weapon/activated}
“The Chessmaster”:
Further learning how to handle himself in the ever cut-throat world of nobles, August has become far more calculating and less brash about his actions, though he still isn’t without faults. On top of his ability in the previous tier, he now can avoid one tier 2 spell and combat ability per thread from one opponent of a lower social class than him – despite the word count. After these initial dodges, all tier 2 spells and combat abilities will be half as effective against him by members of the proletariat and bourgeois. {Passive/trait}
Effects: +2 hp, and physical hits count as 75% towards the 1 strike count. {passive/defensive}
A Butler's Work:
The dutiful Kane will come to August’s aid when August becomes weakened (hp drops to 2); Kane will auto-summon to the battlefield to deliver a pounding upon the poor ‘urchin’. Kane’s burly, filing cabinet crossed with a semi-truck body will wallop August’s opponent by first charging at them from outside the battlefield, attempt a choke-hold grab, then proceed to slam them into the ground repeatedly – breaking their bones. This has the effect of strong physical damage and causes Slow and Disable (Can move, but is unable to physically attack) on the target for two round unless healed. There is also a slight chance that the attack will cast Death upon the target if the target is significantly weaker than Kane (admin's discretion). Kane will then depart. If Kane has already been summoned from the Blight and remains on the battlefield, he may preform this attack once a thread no matter what August's HP is at.{Auto-cast}{Offensive}
{weapon/activated}
Widow’s Son:
Now, with the Eastern Star tuned and perfected, the overcharge has reached its most powerful state. On top of all the previous effects, the overcharge now has a spread effect with its blast. When fired, the blast spreads out to hit multiple targets with the effects of the previous tiers, plus even more added strength behind the blast. The rifle is capable of penetrating a building at this point, tearing through it as if it was made of paper-mâché. 2 turn cooldown. {Activated/Weapon/AOE}
“The Magnificent Bastard”:
August is truly a bastard, a sinister socialite, a cultured fiend. Well groomed and experienced, a master of his domain. This let’s August make an additional direct hit (non-deadly) against an opponent of the lower social class per thread. His affluence and social power also makes it extremely hard for members of the lower classes to defeat or kill him, when up against only one opponent of this class level, August can choose, before his defeat, to flee the thread before being struck down, sacrificing half of the experienced earned in the thread to do so. Because they are deeply routed personality and character traits, all three tiers cannot be sealed away by any means nor be absorbed or turned back against August. {Passive/Trait}
Effect: Shields a powerful energy based CA or spell and in the next turn, automatically prevents physical attacks - energy/spell attacks are treated as normal. {passive/activated}
-His mind has also developed powers of persuasion. Making each word he speaks oddly far more influential to those who are not blighted. ( 1 in 4 chance of August being able to influence a person to do something he wishes them to do)
Seal of Celephaïs:
With the ring now exercising extreme control over demonic type forces, August can now summon forth a demonic creature from the neither region once per thread. This demon will fight for August for three rounds before August’s control will break, causing the demon to attack randomly and wildly till defeated. It requires 3000 combined words by either side of the fight to banish the demon once the control has been severed. {Passive/Offensive/Summon}
-The Demon - The Synx : The creature stands over twelve feet in height and covered in brilliant smooth white fur that runs from the tip of its tail to the top of its head, and stands upright with digigrade legs. It walks and moves like a predatory beast that can contort itself in unnatural ways, wrapping and winding itself like a dancer and a snake. Its hands and feet have powerful, black claws that can tear and shred through flesh, wood, and stone. Its face is marked by bulbous orange-red eyes with long slit pupils, long ears, and two tiny sharp black horns. It always smiles a toothy grin, with thick needle like teeth which interlock between one another – yet don’t be fooled by this almost comical appearance, its maw can open extremely wide to swallow its prey whole, strangling them with its long withering tongue, and stunning them with its foul breath like that a mixture of rotten food and industrial cleaners. It is tremendously tough and durable, and not easily affected by physical attacks.
Spells: None
CA: Swallow Whole: The Synx will attempt to grab and devour an opponent whole, requiring 500 words to avoid – it will auto if you are stunned, immobilized or otherwise unable to resist. Once swallowed, it will take another 500 words to free yourself from the demon’s stomach as you struggle; you will be removed from regular combat at this time till you are free. During this period you take continuous damage from the stomach acids until expelled (counting as a single auto-hit). Upon expulsion, the character will suffer Blind, Bio, and Slow until cured.
“The Dutiful Servant”::
