A tall figure dressed in armour greets the challenger as he appears stood on a ruined stone bridge stood across a large flooded ruin. A ruin the challenger would recognise instantly.
"Welcome warrior of time, I would say your karma has guided you here but maybe it was your own desire instead."
With the words spoken the armored vanishes as a strange creature floats in front of you, a creature of many symbols and many pieces that slowly spin around and around.
Monster Battle - Blue Element Battlefield Baaj Temple - Earth spells will flood the area.
From one moment of standing inside his study as he often did peering through books and his own personal notes, Seymour didn't quite expect to be where he was now. He remembered viewing his notes on his mother, now Anima, and beginning to formulate a plan to use her to his own ends despite deeply missing her still. He remembered sitting at his desk and reading about Baaj Temple, where he'd spent most of his childhood in exile along with his mother and had visited there when he was an adult. Finding himself getting more and more lost in his own writings, it wouldn't be long before he found himself in somewhat of a daydream; before he knew it, he wasn't in his study anymore.
In fact, the scenery had changed quite a bit. He was now standing in Baaj Temple across from a tall figure in a suit of armor, who seemed to be waiting all too patiently for his arrival. He took in his surroundings in complete awe; the sudden change had truly caught him off guard. Suddenly, the figure spoke loudly and clearly from across his gap, welcoming Seymour to Baaj Temple. He spoke of karma guiding him back to this place, or perhaps his own hidden desires. Seymour narrowed his eyes curiously and remained silent. Just as he was ready to reply, the figure vanished, and a fiend appeared suddenly; a strange construction of strange symbols and pieces that seemed to float around one another naturally, as if by some form of raw magic.
Finding his staff in hand, he took a wide stance and pointed the pole at the creature, his dominant shoulder forward and his free hand back, he felt a sudden surge of power and authority over this creature; this had been his home for so many, many years...and it was good to be back. He couldn't be positive of this creature's elemental affinity, so he figured he would try a combination of the two most potent spells he practiced thus far throughout the battle, starting with Water to remove a question early.
First, gathering a strong condensed sum of water at the central point in his staff, the water would materialize and take the shape of the crest of the weapon before sailing straight at the monster and slamming into it, its pressure exploding violently with concussive force. Wasting no time in following incase the element of water showed no effect, Seymour would rush forward to quickly keep the opponent on guard. While physically he wasn't the strongest man out there, he lashed out with a downward vertical swing with the polearm, crashing into the top of the monster.

The strange creature seems to shake violently as the water spell hits it, but nothing else seems to happen as the spell fades away, however the next attack sends its pieces flying apart as the staff hits it dead center. Moments later however the pieces all pull back together, spinning swiftly as a blue energy seems to seep from it before a large crystal of ice expodes right before Seymour, quickly followed by another crystal of ice that would send him backwards.

As the blast of water connected with the creature the impact seemed to have been felt, but not much else; it shook violently with the impact of the pressurized water, but otherwise seemed unharmed. This brought Seymour to the deduction that Water spells, for the remainder of this battle, were not going to have an effect. However, when his staff made contact dead-center, shards of the creature burst off of its form and it shook, only to reform afterwards. It seemed that had caused a bit of damage to the creature. He smirked to himself, resuming his earlier stance as he backed a few steps away from it and circled it slowly.
His eyes widened however when he noticed an aura of frost begin to radiate from the strange construct. He knew ice magic was coming his way, and judging by the power he could observe, it wasn't your basic run of the mill magic either. The creature began to spin and set forth a large shard of ice to explode right in front of the Maester, following its barrage with a smaller one who's combined impact would nearly send him onto his back. Using his staff as a brake with a loud screech across the floor, he came to a sudden halt against a nearby wall and let out a gasp of air. With a few short breaths he stared at the creature angrily.
Advancing forward a few steps, he would suddenly halt in place and hold his staff high, his free hand placed against the bottom of the crest palm-open. Focusing from the depths of his magical prowess, he would enclose a singularity of magic around the construct as the room went dark, followed by a second slightly larger one encompassing that and locking the first in. Becoming volatile, the two would converge and explode violently with magical power.
He was now going all out; it was clear this creature possessed very potent magic.
