"To me they owe their allegiance. To me it is pledged. I who know the names of the demons. And it is I who list their names in my pages. A beginning and an end are one in the same. An ultimate catastrophe is but the beginning of something new. When one journey finishes. Another begins. An eternal cycle of death and despair. Of happiness. And of joy. Few survived the end, even fewer remain with the knowledge of it still imprinted in their minds. Many birthed at the beginning. An old world, withered and decayed. Gives life to a new one. Full of vibrancy and understanding. A new world. A new way. Things do not always happen the same way.
With this knowledge, I will go forth. And create for you a new beginning.

A song of tragedy and pain. Let blood fall like rain
W hy did bad things always seem to happen the sweetest of people like Miumi, sure he was considered an abomination by many people and then there were those people who had tried to kill him, faces of Zero, Kefka and even Exdeath flashed to his mind as he lay on the bed. He could feel something was coming from the distance, there was a faint rumble as the beast began to walk closer. As it seemed to enjoy the fact that it could spill some blood. Miumi just closed his eyes and prayed it was all just a simple dream that he'd end up waking up from. As the rumbling got louder it was filled in by a symphony of screams which caused Miumi to sit up with a sharp jerk. The look within Miumi's eye was wild and almost demonic, he had a fear no a hunger. He craved the silence right now. As slowly Miumi began to rise from his bed as the rumbling got closer, it sounded so much like thunder from the planes roaring above. But the cries of children and parents for their love ones seemed to yell louder. As he just gently slid his body from the bed. A man burst into the room while Miumi was wearing a see through gown which revealed the pale milkyness that was beneath as well as the black tights Miumi slept in. Throwing the shirt aside and watching as Ayamu devoured it as if it were food he knew that he would have to do something.
As Miumi turned from the other and slid on a black shirt after that and grabbed his leather vest. Grabbing his teddy bear and he was out the door as the bear was busy swallowing the satchel Miumi began to carry around, while apparently he had chosen a rather horrible place to stay as suddenly Miumi heard the walls begin to creak and moan as something heavy thudded down upon the roof. Miumi grabbed the children that were running around in a panic and looekd at the ceiling it was beginning to dent. He focused making a quick chant and a orb of ice would fly downwards forming an almost ramp like structure. As he grabbed the children the parents just steps behind. As Miumi came towards it, he could see the arm of the beast as it weighed down the crunch of stone and metal alike seemed to cause Miumi some pain. As he leapt he maneuvered his body so his shoulder and back would hit the hard solid ice as they slid down really quickly as if they were penguins. The parents linking hands as they leapt after the sound of their child's screams. As Miumi watched as just moments after the parents leapt out. THe hand squeezed crushing where they just would of been. AS the ice began to shatter he let go of the kids and leapt up to the parents catching each by the arm before landing gracefully from a bench. As his grip loosened her heard the gasp as they saw his wolven ears and tail. He spoke softly his vocie was much like an angels as it seemed to fill the air.
"Just run stick near the guards.... I'm sure my friends and I can handle it. As thus begins the beats of Do, Rei Mi, the three beats to the soul.
W hile he spoke the children smiled and said thank you, while the mother and father heard them away like sheep. As Miumi began to focus. His eyes closed for a short while. While he remained silent he heard the rumbles of the beast and it's smaller minions. As a few spiders were running by the slowed guards or feasting upon them. Miumi began to walk stepping over bodies with a delicate nature. As they they came closer. It all began as Miumi swayed his hips one way when they lunged. His leg coming up clipping their fangs sending them a few inches back into the skull resulting in a scream of pain and a sudden spiral as they sprayed webs of net towards Miumi, who just smiled as Ayamu leap upwards slciing at them like a angry wife did to her vegetables when she was mad. As one of them came closer he noticed a sword still lodged within the softer under belly of the creautre. Miumi pushed off suddenly as he came under the sword his hand flew upwards and sent the blade into the depth of the stomach resulting in a high pitched cry and a spray of what he expected was deluded acid. As he came up behind them he listened to the crawling noise it was a mother and he came the young as he brought his finger to his lips he just smiled. HE was going to burn them all. That was his power he was stronger htne the average mage.
Belzera, It seems as if my time is about to run out. I shall face it head on, I shall face these fools however your place is not here go now take your dragon and your ship and search for the Gateway there you will find a way to restore those that you have lost go through it.
Those last words echoed in the demons mind as his body flew through the skies of Lindblum at bone shattering speeds, the words of a man who had tried to save Gaia from its puppeteers but who ended short of freeing the world from its strings. The wind tore at the demon as he continued to push himself to unnatural speeds as he now saw the creature on the Horizon.
"He cannot be here, that man died"
The Demon muttered pushing his body even harder through the sky as Lindblum now stood beneath him, the demon's wings bring him to a stop over the cliff facing the monstrous monster that had the same feel as Morona Solomon, a man he had sworn to serve in the old gaia, a man who the demon understood truly tried to save that twisted world. The demon breathed in deeply and reaches down to his waist and unsheathes Eden, pointing the tip of the blade towards Solomons Key.
"MORONA"
The demon bellows out at the creature, recalling the man who he had chosen to serve knowing that the twisted Gaia needed not a hero but someone who would cross the line when needed. The demon had chosen a similar path for him this time, the demon would become the villain that this world needed in order to rid it of its other villains. The demon's resolve hardened in the face of this creature of the blight, that could only be a twisted remnant of the Morona he respected and trusted so much. He lets out a sigh before he continues to speak.
"If that is truly you, I shall put an end to your blighted form and let you rest, I am not going to let this Gaia fall into the same darkness as the last one. I will not allow any other 'evils' to exist but me, I will crush all those that trouble Gaia. Good or Bad"
The demon then breathes in deeply as a orb of purple light appears infront of his mouth, quickly growing in size, tripling in size in seconds going from a speck of nothing to the size of a football and then continuing to grow larger and large as the Mega-Flare charges.
"Hear this final roar to what once was Morona"
The demon whispers as the energy starts to crackle and warp dangerously, now the size of an airship at least the orb of energy hovered in the sky about the city of Lindblum. A city with an honest man leading it, a city that deserves peace. The Demon closes his eyes as he lets out a glass shattering roar as the Mega-flare is fired off straight at the key's core the energy filling the distance between the demon and the key in an instant, some of the energy twisting from the path curling around the pommel of the Eden as it absorbs the energy into it while the rest is tearing through the creatures armor and hitting hard with the might of the dragon king, the demon opens his eyes and looks up at the creature as the last of the flare hits the core of the creature, the demon could see that damage it had done and it wasn't much. In his hand the pommel of the Eden glowed faintly for a second with a fire red light as the symbol 'I' appears on it unbeknownst to the demon who looks up at the creatures face.
The demon then tightens his grip on the Eden as he holds out his right hand summoning in a purple mist the Adonis to his side, he crosses the two blades. The demons wings stretched out wide casting a shadow infront of him as he slowly brings his arms down to the sides.
"Citizens of Lindblum, this is the Knight of the Sorceress Blue, I ask that you all abandon the city quickly to lessen any possible casualties from the creatures assault on your fair city, I and many gaian warriors will stop this beast but we need the city to be empty to lessen the victims"
The demon then raises Adonis to the sky as the air behind him fills up with a purple mist which slowly forms into copies of the Adonis which where all pointed towards the creature, however the demon did not fire these off just yet as more and more rows of Adonis's formed in the sky as he built up several dozen barrages worth of blades.
"I don't think I need to tell you Warriors of Gaia, this creature will be a big threat but is also the toughest game you will find right now on Gaia, whether you fight for the people or for amusement you will find this fight one of the deadliest fights you will ever encounter in your lives so I hope you will heed my words, do not stop moving, do not stop acting, do not stop attacking, do not hold back."
The demon then smiles softly, knowing that no one would listen to him or take him seriously, since no one knew of the old gaia, but he didn't care he had given his advice. How odd that this now felt like long ago, he had been right so long ago and he was right now. However
"The time for words is over, now is the time for annihilation."
The demon then swings his Adonis down firing off the barrages at the creature, the hundreds of blades cutting swiftly through the air and smashing into the creatures thick hide over and over as the demon bursts forward right behind the barrages, his wings folded so that he would reach critical speed as his body was kept tight and aerodynamic. The Demon twists around the creatures arm as it swings at the demon, this creature was over 5 times the demons size however the demon was agile and tough himself. He slashes the Adonis around the creatures arm as he evades it, scraping off some of its skin and causing small wounds to it. He stabs Eden into the shoulder of the creature as he approaches it, using his forward momentum to swing him around and twist the long blade around before he launches himself into the air at the key's head, cutting the Eden free form the should as he flies up. The demon stares at the creature holding both blades in his hands, he breathes in again before he swoops down towards the creatures neck, smashing the Adonis into the side of the neck stopping the demon and leaving him hanging from the creatures neck. He uses this chance to pull himself onto the creature, once on the creature he lets go of the Adonis and it fades away form the creatures neck. The Demon then raises the Eden above his head, pointing the tip at the neck ready to strike yet the next thing the demon sees is the creatures fist as it hits him hard off of its body sending him flying through the sky and into the ground with a heavy thud as he is driven into the ground. The demon's hand grips the edge of the crater as he pulls himself onto his feet only to be greeted by the creatures foot as it stomps down hard on the ground. The demon reacts quickly and collapses back into the crater and thrusts the eden upwards to match the creatures foot coming down. The blade of the Eden starts to glow with pure darkness as the demonic energies where unleashed into the blade that thanks to the creature bringing his foot down now was dug deep into the creatures body allowing the demon to drain some of the strength out of it and to restore his body as it was being crushed long enough for the demon to be pulled up at the creature took another step forwards, lifting the demon along with the foot and the Eden. The demon however quickly removes the Eden from the creatures foot and drops down to the ground behind the creature, before he rolls onto his feet and looks up at the creature over 5 times his size as he with his free hand starts to dust himself off.
Blue I need you to try and disable the creatures Mana, can you do that for me?
The demon asks Blue mentally as he spots Miumi as well.
Miumi? you should be able to hear this, don't worry just think your words and Ill be able to hear them if you direct them at me, I need you to keep your distance and try to maybe help support more of the front line fighters
The Demon then bends his knees slightly, leaning forward with his free hand touching the ground right before he pushes himself into the air, basically jumping several feet into the air before he starts to flap his wings pulling himself up to the creatures back, summoning up and launching another barrage as it forms into the creatures back, the demon grabbing the blades handle with one hand and sheathing the Eden before he uses the Adonis copies to climb up to the middle of the creatures back before the Adonis's fade away, leaving the demon to cling onto the creatures back one hand pressed palm open onto the skin of the creature.
"From the fires of hell, I give you this gift"
The demon then smiles unleashing from his hand straight into the creatures back several Hetco-flares, the demon then breathes in deeply and focuses his energy for a moment before he unleashes a Kilo flare into the same spot, further weakening the spot, The demon continues to unleash Kilo-Flare after Kilo-flare into the same spot weakening it further and further as the creature continues to move onwards towards Lindblum.
"Right that should me more than enough"
The demon mutters to himself summoning the Adonis to his hand and then impaling it into the back of the creature allowing him to safely hang from it as he breathes in deeply as another orb of purple light appears infront of his mouth, quickly growing in size, tripling in size in seconds going from a speck of nothing to the size of a football and then continuing to grow larger and large as the Mega-Flare charges. Once the mega-flare hits the creatures weakened skin it starts to continually deal damage as the flare keeps trying to build up taking energy from the demon while slowly growing larger and large burning away more and more of the creatures constantly restoring flesh as it grows, however it soon becomes apparent that the mega-flare is failing as the demons vision blurs while the orb starts to shrink before fading away. The demon swears under his breath and lets go of the Adonis, letting it fade away again as he drops down to the ground feeling fatigued from the over use of the Mega-Flare, the demon however could see the slowly healing wound in the creatures back, it was big enough for an airship to crash into and would make it easier at least for now for people to hurt the creature. The demon collapses onto his back for a moment as his vision blurs again, his breathing rapid and short, his body feeling heavy and lead like.
"Dammit"
He punches the ground as he looks back up to see who else was engaging the creature, his eyes squinting alittle bit.

The sorceress turns to the reagent, her eyes fixed on his as she walks slowly towrads him, grabbing him by his collar and lifting him off of the ground, she had come to speak to the Reagent about getting Airships made for Galbadia and all she came with was the Demon and small personal boat with a highly trained squad and one of Galbadia's newest weapons which was now parked at the other side of city. She couldn't believe the size of the creature that was moving towards the city right now however the demon had leapt to the challenge like a man possessed and she could tell that this creature was something he knew alot about, it was also a creature she knew would be dangerous and she had a plan.
"You, reagent Cid, evacuate this city right now, get every man woman and child out of it like 5 minutes ago and give me the biggest airship you have with a pilot, I will not take no for an answer"
She commands the reagent before letting go of him allowing him to hit the ground before she stretches her arms above her head slowly.
"I ain't waiting much longer for an answer Reagent, I can help you defend Lindblum and will gladly do it, but I need your biggest ship to get close enough. If you need to know what I plan to do, I plan to crash it into that creature out there and I'll use the Airship as a platform onto that creature just before I unleash one of my crippling attacks that should weaken that beast dramatically"
She shot a glare at the reagent before speaking again, fully aware that she could effectively screw over everyone in Lindblum aside from herself and the demon simply by using her retribution and knocking out all mana in the area which wouldn't necessarily work against the creature either, as a Hand to Hand fighter blue wasn't sure of what she could do against the creature yet she knew the demon would be unleashing everything he had against it
"So give me your biggest ship now or I will take it"
She then starts to run from the throne room out into the corridor and makes her way towards the hangars, pulling up her radio and smiling softly at her shoes echo on the stone floors.
"Guys, I need you to pull out form the harbor and head back to Galbadia now, the situation isn't good here so take that prototype back to Galbadia we'll work on it once this is all over."
She continues to run as she hears the confirmation from her troops knowing that they'd be out of Lindblum in a few minutes. She blinks hearing Belzera's words and smiles softly, he had a plan of his own it seemed.
Sure I plan on crashing a big assed airship into that fuckers face, sound good to you my knight?
She asked him as she climbed the stairs upto the hanger, grabbing one of the guards quickly before he could point his weapon at her and smashes her palm into his throat cutting out his voice before knocking him out with a swift knee into his crotch and then she was ontop of the next guard her elbow connecting with his chin knocking him aside as the other guards started to come at her, however she was easily faster than all of them unknowings to her she seemed to be teleporting between each guard as she took them out with one or two blows as she approaches the largest airship she could see that wasn't being used. He movements where fluid and sharp the Lindblum guards stood no chance against her and she manages to board one of the larger airships.
She runs through the airship and to the cabin, starting up the airship quickly while picking up the intercom device for the airship ordering everyone to abandon the airship quickly however there was no one on it making her life easier as the airship starts to rise up and move backwards out of the hangar as she starts to hum the ride of the Valkyries as the Airship rises out of the hangar and moves up over Lindblum castle as she slowly turns it around to face the large creature.
"Hmm, right"
She mutters as she puts the Airship to max speed and jams the controls so that it would send the airship crashing straight into the creature, she figured she had a minute chuckling she rushes out of the cabin and moves to the edge of the airship and starts to loudly start mimicking the sound of the Ride of the Valkyries as she positioned herself ready to jump off of the airship and onto the creatures head, bending her knees she smiles and breathes in deeply as she leaps from the airship and drops down managing to grab onto the bottom of the creatures face as the airship crashes into the creature hard just before it explodes sending debree everywhere.
"Oh shi~"
She shouts swinging herself under the creatures chin gripping it with her feet as well as with her hands so that she avoids the debree while chuckles as she unleashes her destructive power into the creatures body starting off the chain reaction that would burn away its mana just like any other, however she figured that even for its size she'd need to do this several more times to make it so that the effect kicks in quickly enough for it to matter.
"One"
She counts swinging herself across to the creatures shoulder managing to keep her balance as she sees the demon fall to the ground, it wasn't the time for worrying about him she remains focused on her target and starts running along the creatures shoulder before jumping up grabbing onto the side of its face and climbing up onto the top of his head where she falls lat and grabs ahold unleashing more of her destructive power into it.
"Two"
She smiles and rolls off of the head grabbing its ear before dropping onto its other shoulder and planting her hands down unleashing her destructive power again.
"Three"
She says jumping forward avoiding the arm that tried to swot her off, she uses this to her advantage and grabs a hold of its claws and quickly climbs it as the creature continues to swing and attack, blue holding on for dear life as she withstands the beating she is getting while unleashing it for the forth time before leaping from the right hand onto its left thigh, grabbing hold and pulling herself onto a steady position as she grabs ahold of several spikes and unleashes the effect for the fifth time
"Thats four and five"
She then starts to climb up its back as best she could using the wounds Belzera had inflicted onto it for the sixth time before she drops down, catching the creatures right shin and grinning unleashing a seventh and final mana destroying effect before dropping down to the ground and rolling back, rushing away from the creature for a moment to head over to the demon, running and leaping over the footprints and craters left by Belzera and the creature before skidding to her knee's next to the panting demon, smiling as she places her hands onto his back.
"Looks like you need a pick me up huh, Festinatio"
She grins as she unleashes an enchantment onto the demon and then onto herself, imbuing them with greater speed. She then stands up, helping the demon to his feet before she makes a straight line for the creature once again, her arms held infront of her one arm steadying the other as she smiles.
"Incendia!"
She commands casting a fire spell at the creature before she runs up its leg using the combination of her great agility and speed and the haste to keep her momentum stronger than gravity before she leaps off of the creatures waste and smirks again taking aim at the healing wound on its back from Belzera's earlier mega-flare.
"Incendia!"
She commands again, unleashing several fire spells upon the wound causing it to stop as she seals the wound with fire as she discovers gravity calling back to her. She rotates around in the air and brings her arms infront of her face to protect herself as she crashes into the earth, bouncing once before rolling to a stop behind the creature, a smirk on her face as she pulls herself onto her feet and looks up to the creature before once more rushing off towards the towering creature, her mind darting through all the options she had to attack it with, most of them being mana destroying attacks or the demons her own arsenal was lacking it occurred to her as she leapt up onto the creature once again climbing the thing using its own body to hide from its attempts at pulling her from it as she scales the creature upto its waist, hanging on in a place that appeared to be unreachable by the creature itself.
"Heh, now what do I do?"

Ruien sat, rather nonchalantly at the highest point he was able to reach. Normally, such a city would be of no interest to him, yet for some reason he had felt as though he was being drawn here. Normally not one to follow such a strange impulse Ruien had originally tried to ignore it, however, that had been answered by visions of a world long since gone. And then, the more he had tried to ignore it the more frequent and painful the visions became. So in the end he had dragged himself here, to this hovel of a city, and as he had expected there had been nothing of interest here.
"Well, at least it had started that way." He said to himself calmly as he watched the monstrous form make its way toward the city. He had to admit that even he had been shocked by the sight of it initially, but soon after that he had, had single vision. This creature had some kind of connection to the gateway, to the very object of his current study. Or at least that was the way it had seemed, if that was the case, then, Ruien was going to fight it. But not right away, he was still taking in the sights and the sounds, merely relaxing. It had, after all, been a long while since Ruien had allowed himself such a luxury.
"Well, at least I won't be the only one here fighting." He observed in a calm and clear manner, he had to admit, what he was currently witnessing was fairly impressive, there was only one other warrior trying at this current time, and those.
"Beams of light?" He muttered to himself. Well, any being capable of doing that certain deserved some respect, from his own training he remembered that skills even remotely related to what he was seeing were very draining. To be able to keep a charge going for that long. Ruien shrugged, getting to his feet and dusting off his long coat.
"Well, that is provided it's the same kind of skill." He had to remind himself, this time internally, since he disliked having to think that he might have been wrong. He moved his head stiffly, allowing his neck to crack loudly and adjusted his stance, a small smirk twisted its way across his lips as he lowered his stance in preparation to attack the creature, he was already going over his plan of attack.
"What the?" He cocked an eyebrow and stood up straight as an airship made a beeline directly for the creature. His mouth just hung open as he stared in shock at the sudden explosion; he stood in stunned silence for a long while, his mind slowly processing what had just happened, and for the first time in a long time Ruien found himself to be almost lost for words.
"Well... Some one has got a lot of balls." He mumbled to himself while mentally praising the initiative of the person that had been piloting the thing. Since they had clearly intended to get off of the thing before using it as an improvised weapon, yet Ruien had nothing here to follow suit with. He folded his arms over his chest and leaned against the spire in the center of the roof.
"... Well, now I just feel foolish." He muttered to himself. Quickly he once again stood up straight, however, this time he enveloped the long, pointed, metallic spire with the Black Fire that had served him so well. With a finger snap he created a thin line of the same substance and pointed it directly at the creature, merely lazing his target. He lowered the spire and in a single bound was able to balance himself on it, standing as if he were on a surf board.
He paused, making sure that he was aligned perfectly and then, he used the VII Flame to rapidly accelerate, driving the large spike toward the monster with an enormous amount of speed. He increased the power output of the VII Flame around the spire, making the weapon look as though it was growing in size when finally.
The sound of metal cutting. Whatever this things flesh was made of. Seemed to echo loudly as the metal spire passed right through its body, Ruien had back flipped from the thing as it had drawn close and had swiftly gathered up the remaining VII Flame and thrust his palm forward. Using the resulting wave of Black Fire to both damage the creature and push himself away from it, there was a brief period in which time felt as though it had slowed to a crawl passed as Ruien flew unaided through the air before landing softly on the ground.
"Heh, I would ask someone for marks out of ten. But I already know that was a flawless performance." He said calmly, while standing up straight. A small smirk twisted its way across Ruiens face, this was it, there was definitely more than one person here, and this was going to be one hell of a fight. It might even prove to be fun. He drew his hand back; gripping the VII Flame he took a step forward, enveloped his hand with the VII Flame and then thrust it forward. He tore open two "doors", one directly before the monster and one in the source of his power, seconds later a large lance of Black Fire burst through the door positioned directly before the creature, there was a pause as the attack struck home.
"heh, heh, boom." He muttered as the creature slowly reacted to the second strike, he took a single step back, knowing full well that it would take much more than a couple of cheap shots like that to take this thing down, yet he had at least continued the trend. In a sense anyway, since he had aimed his second attack at the exact same spot the spire had struck. Merely having one weak point to attack was not enough, this way, there would be more openings, at least that was the plan.
A malicious pair of dark brown eyes that held much worldly contempt and loathing stared in a deathly manner ahead of him. Why he had come to such a horridly lively and innocent place like Lindblum? The answer was simple and similar to all other questions that regarded any location he arrived at: the essential wish to obtain an ultimate power that could bring about the world’s timely demise. The world, in his view, had festered with life for far too long. Any sensible and sane being could see that the world was close to being unstable and chaotic. War ravaged lands and decimated countless lives. Not that he did not like war, mind you; senseless killing was quite entertaining for his dark soul, or souls. Exdeath preferred it when people killed people, saved a lot of work for him, yet it was a profession he took a deep pleasure in. Regardless, his personal belief was that all life, known and unknown, should return to the vast, black depths of the Void, and accept utter nothingness and oblivion. He even believed this for himself. If he were to die at any moment, it was no concern to him. His legacy would live on and eventually, everything would return to the Void. Nonetheless, he took several precautions so his life would not end as easily as some. He desired to see the end in body, rather than in spirit and rather than die with the knowledge that it could happen, he yearned to see it actually happen.
Consequently, his arrival to the land of Lindblum was for nothing more than the business of attaining power. However, it would not be power he would discover, alternatively, it would be a major attack he would find himself in the middle of. From where he was, he could see a battle raging against a relatively gigantic beast. Exdeath had to admit that the beast appeared particularly fearsome. It reminded him of some enormous, corrupted humanoid. It possessed massive extremities that could reap a great deal of damage on the guiltless town of Lindblum – though, Exdeath could not care less. What was most interesting in his mind was the fascinating green core that protruded from the beast’s chest. What it was, Exdeath had no idea. If it provided the monster with its power, he did not know, but he was sure to find out.
The beast was quite a distance ahead of him, so was the town, and it appeared that it already devastated several outlying buildings in its wake. At the moment, he was getting more and more motivated to take on the beast. Not because it was the right thing to do, but because it deemed itself quite a trial of strength that Exdeath just had to test his new abilities out. Clad in his terrifying, sky-blue armor with various, intricate accessories hanging from it, a large jar containing corpses – Exdeath’s recent victims – strapped firmly to his back, and a black cloak covering his right arm, Exdeath made his way closer to the slowly moving beast, the closer he got, the bigger the deadly smirk upon his face grew. He did not care if he was the cause of any civilian causality. In fact, he would relish the notion of adding more useable bodies to the jar he wore religiously on his back. More cadavers could provide a better use for next time he needed them.
As he cut the distance between him and the foul atrocity, he proceeded to unwrap his right arm, which was covered by some cloth. After he was done with removing the cape, he cast it aside because he was sure he could find some other cloth to use from some corpse in the near future. With the covering off, his hideous right arm was revealed to be a pulsing, disfigured arm that looked like it was made of dead flesh and skin, though it was still large and still relatively composed. It just looked dead, as if taken from a deceased human, or two due to its size. It was a symbol of his horrifying deal with the angel of death. He made a trade: power over life and death for a limb. It was not that bad of a deal if you thought about it. His undead appendage graced him with nigh unparalleled strength and spell prowess, as well as several other benefits.
Prepared to make his assault, Exdeath stood in a readied stance, his legs shoulder distance apart, his arms were raised out towards the colossal beast and his palms faced the grounds. His eyes scanned the ground around and evidence of a few fatalities was present from when the creature known as Genesis first surfaced from the watery depths of the ocean. He could have easily removed the jar from his back if he needed any more bodies that bad, but a few would manage to occupy the beast, even a little.
He shut his eyes as he concentrated deeply on the bodies that lay in the vicinity. His right, dead arm began to pound madly as dark magic flowed through it. Moments later as dark magic laced the corpses, movement was noticeable in the previously unanimated vessels. Slowly, the dead rose again to serve under Exdeath’s command. There were five total. Not a lot, but enough to provide some irritation to the beast. With a simple gesture, he indicated the undead in the direction of the beast. He watched with a twisted pride as the undead beings marched with dedication towards the beast. Perfect soldiers. Was the first thing that came to Exdeath’s mind. Though they were not that hard to beat, the undead fought relentlessly for their master and every decapitating a few limbs would not deter them. They did not feel pain or fear. They did not require breath or any other substance to sustain them. In immense numbers, they could effortlessly overwhelm a victim. Death was purely a beautiful thing. And now, Exdeath had control of it.
A nefarious expression played on his hidden face as he beheld his handiwork slowly ascend the great beast. Each of them went in a different direction. Their teeth and nails would bite fiercely into the creature, or at least try. The monster's armor was thick, so they did very little in terms of effect and damage; none the less, they were a joy to watch and their unconscious habits clearly had a lot of philosophical lessons behind them. They were a true example of when humans have nothing, they return to their most primitive state and fight with what they were born with: teeth and nail. Intriguing.
A wicked smile beamed on Exdeath’s face as he observed his creations climbing up the form of the beast. They would not be extremely effective against such a large adversary, but they would still offer some annoyance and vexation to the beast. From where he was, Exdeath could make out others participation in the battle, as well. He was able to discern the form of the Demon Lord known as Belzera, the Sorceress Blue’s pet, viciously attacking the thing. What happened next was something completely unexpected and certainly surprising. Off in the distance, he could make out some flying craft and he viewed that even as it got closer, it was not wavering in its course: directly towards the ferocious beast. Moments later, the flying machine crashed precisely into the creature’s face. Exdeath was stunned for a moment; nevertheless, he quickly regained focus. A third being was attacking the creature, too, with an unusual power. It was something Exdeath could not make out, but the pattern of attack was rather intriguing. However, now it was his turn.
In a moderately low tone, not intending for any other to hear, though if they did, it did not matter. ”Hound of Hell, I summon thee. Grant me your power!” A moment later, time around Exdeath seemed to stop. Everything was motionless as a grand outline began to take shape in front of Exdeath. The mammoth shadow materializing before him was began to take a definite shape into a three-headed dog. Finally becoming fully tangible, the beast’s details could be made effortlessly. It was all black, except its red underbelly. Three, big pairs of red eyes glowed like embers on its brutish face. Its name was Cerberus. All three heads bowed to Exdeath as it spoke in a demonic, supernatural voice. Its spoke few words, but what it said was, ”As you wish, Master.” The humongous canine became to turn to a black dust and this dust fell over Exdeath and glowed darkly. This dust bestowed upon him by Cerberus granted him the power to cast triple of a spell. So with it, he was now ready.
He knew what spell he was going to use. Ever since his icy fight with the warped snowman on the frozen continent of Cetra, he felt a peculiar tickle in his spine. He soon discovered his greater affinity for ice and he became stronger in that element. Now, presented with the power of Cerberus, the ‘blessing’ of Frosty the Snowman, and finally, the enhanced power of his Undead Prosthetic, he would unleash a cold Hell upon this unsuspecting beast.
Blizzaga. From the brown soil a rather strange substance shot forth, ice. Ice exploded forth from the ground in front of him and it rose to stand nearly as tall as the great beast itself. A low and sinister erupted from Exdeath’s core as he now had the power of a glacial tidal wave that possessed the power of three Blizzagas with the combined and augmented power of his Necromancy. Without further hesitation, he launched the powerful and crippling frozen surge at the beast with much pleasure. There was no way for it to escape the deadly and chilly attack because it was so large in size that it consumed everything in its way. He cared not for the lives of the people presently attacking Genesis. If they did not move, it was their funeral. Or... it was their body he could store in his jar for later purposes. Nonetheless, the wave left desolation in its aftermath, and Exdeath did not care one bit.
He watched with much ecstasy as the wave rushed towards the beast and he waited eagerly to see the result of his actions. His mana was severely drained from that single attack; despite this, he still had a large pool of mana to sake his mana thirst. If he did not have such a vast supply, he would have surely been in trouble.
He witnessed his icy wave strike with tremendous delight. Impacting the beast, it could a great deal of upfront damage; however, it did not stop there. The ice began to encompass the beast, halting it in its path. Frozen tendrils ascended the creature until it started to become completely encased in solid ice. Though the beast had sustained considerable damage from the colossal wave of ice and it was nearly confined by it, the creature had a steadfast mindset and would not be stopped just yet. Lashing out violently, the creature tore itself free from its icy confinement and continued its march towards the city.
It did not concern Exdeath. He did his share, now if Lindblum was destroyed, it would not have empathy from him. None the less, if he got another chance to assail it, he would take it. But until then, he slowly followed behind it and watched the destruction is wrought and the individuals attempting to destroy it.
Asher was anything if not amusing. And so, it was quite amusing when he came falling from the sky. Why? Because the ship he thought would be taking him back to Balamb was now flying towards a Behemoth.
Four minutes beforehand -
Of course, he'd not actually thought that the woman's voice was being particularly intimidating or urgent - there hadn't been more than a few seconds before he found himself in an empty hallway. "Huhwhat?" He was peering around uncertainly, trying to spot someone. The Airship was much larger than he'd given it credit for, and now, he was certainly a little bit lost. To make matters worse, the thing was picking up speed, and he was being jostled around.
It was, in fact, only that his nose was leading him following the jumble of scents that were all heading in one direction. When he 'broke out' of the ship's interior, standing with his Spearshot in hand, he looked around, confusedly. How come he had to abandon ship?
Then he saw his answer, staring at him.
It was a giant! A giant thing with a thing and... his eyes widened. He hadn't really been paying attention when he heard the Reagent's call - he'd been more preoccupied with the ice cream he'd been devouring at the time, and nursing the brain freeze. Still, his problem now was that the ship was showing no signs of slowing, and he himself was caught right in the middle of his ride going in to a monster.
There was a woman, at the very front of the ship, and he, well, he was wondering what the hell she was doing there. But his own window was certainly running out - and the only option was forward. So, he ran, bounding, much faster than a human. He didn't even hesitate, calling: "Bye crazy lady!" As he flung himself into the air at the creature.
Present:
He had jumped sooner than she, but his intent wasn't to cut it so close. Initially he'd thought that he was just going to go and get off the obviously abducted ship. Now, he was more concerned with having to deal with having to get the stuff he brought with him back.
Taking a deep breath, he very nearly crashed in to the thing's leg. But he'd timed it well enough - his Spearshot would meet it's flesh first, and he would tug the trigger simultaneously, to make certain he could penetrate it's flesh. Sliding through, he was clutching the staff end, nearly flung off with the sheer momentum of doing so, as his weapon kept him from falling. Hopefully the crazy lady had taken care of her own problems, because he hadn't had time to do anything effective.
Besides, he didn't want her craziness to rub off on him.
He was forced to shut his eyes as the beast was rocked by the sudden impact collision of an airship hitting it's face. Lady might have been crazy as balls, but she'd no doubt done something rather effective in driving a giant air-boat in to it's eyesocket. He wrinkled his nose a bit. There was no doubt all sorts of insanity going on. She wasn't the only one doing things that were outrageous.
It just sucked that now he was in this fight even though he didn't want to be.
With flawless dexterity, he huffed, using the Spearshot to swing around. In a full aerial somersault, he caught the weapon shaft with his tail, using inertia and his weight to tug the blade from the creature's leg. He dropped, seemingly out of the air, but it was clever maneuvering on his part. He was a little lower. A glance up, and he could see the lady doing... something, bounding around the creature's body.
He figured he might as well help out!
He wasn't swinging so much as he was bouncing from place to place - in exactly the opposite location on the beast's body as her. Every time he came down, his blade would make a connection, and he would squeeze the trigger, making each and every slash that much more effective against the beast. They would meet in the middle, no doubt, over a grievous looking wound.
"Hi again, Crazy Lady!" He called, as he continued on his relatively destructive path.
When she dropped off of it, he went upwards, easily avoiding each and every attempt to bad either of the people who were currently using it as a springboard to smite itself. He was bounding up it's body like a pro, around to the creature's massive right hip. A deadly spin - or at least, what would have been a deadly spin on an adequately sized monster, instead of this behemoth - as he built momentum for his next strike.
He drove it inwards, unleashing a relatively heavier assault than normal. He was more or less now freefalling completely, having used every available hint of power in the strike. It might look as though he'd managed to disarm himself and put himself in a very perilous predicament, spiraling away from the creature in question - but in fact, he was more or less ready for this. The moment he might otherwise have become a delicious little smear on the ground, he vanished, completely.
He was back on the creature, squeezing the trigger so he could pull the spear end free of the monster.
He had about one shot left, and so he'd have to make it count.
Up was always the smartest course of action when it was necessary. Between the nook of it's arm, the shoulder, the inside of it's chest, and even the cranny of it's neck, he found himself on it's forehead. "Hiya, scary thing." He smiled, a bright smile into one of it's eyes.
Then he stabbed it, as hard as he could, adding a bullet right in to it's already injured eye - the airship no doubt 'softened it up' ( read; smote with righteous fury ) to be a little more receptive to the blow that Asher aimed to land.
He pulled out, winking, sticking out his tongue - but he had to teleport as a hand came towards the creature's face, no doubt to smush him. He hadn't given himself enough time to escape any other way, and it was in the back of it's neck that he existed again.
He started falling, and performed a similar gouging-it's-back to keep him hanging sort of thing, the blade sliding to a halt only a few feet from the crazy lady, though it was diagonally down from her left. More or less a monkey with a spear, sticking out of the behemoth's ass.
"I think we're both a little crazy, yeah?"

Wolfe had been riding for only a short time really as he flew down the abandoned desert that was on the end of the Spira territory that bordered Lindblum. Wolfe hadn't really intended to head this way but he had decided that with his new passenger he should keep to the more peaceful territories for now. Back in Spira he had met her, the fox girl named Rena. There was more to her then met the eye, and Wolfe knew this. Something about her had drawn him to her enough to cause him to offer to bring her along when he had left Spira.
So they had jumped on Lilith and headed out of the small town and he had decided to head north into Lindblum. He had decided to take her around and show her the new land she would call home. Normally this wasn't like him but he was a sucker for a cute girl and he really couldn't just leave her in Spira with headhunters, Shinra spies, and the towns people that might just mob here for being different. So he had come to terms with the idea of taking her along, and so here they were.
As the rode along Wolfe would turn his head back and make sure she was ok, but she seemed more then ok as they rode along. She seemed fairly calm and easy going about the whole thing actually. Wolfe just smirked as they continued along and crossed the border now putting them in the most southern area of Lindblum territory. Wolfe knew this area do an extent and knew they this was the most advanced area for airships and air travel in general. He wasn't sure where they would head next, but he figured they were best off trying to get a airship there. Even more so if they ended up crossing an ocean to one of the other continents.
Wolfe pushed Lilith at her top speed as they raced along putting ground behind them at an insane speed. As he thought about it he couldn't help but smirk and think about the bike under him and the name of the Woman who had built it and it was named after. He just couldn't help but give a smile and mouthed the words so no sound came out
"Thank you mother"
It wasn't often he thought about her in the last few years. He had spent the first 2 years after her death constantly calling for her in the darkness and trying to cling to some hope she had made it out of the whole ordeal live. However, Wolfe finally came to terms with the fact that his mother was gone and she had sacrificed herself for him, and had fulfilled a promise she had made to herself when he had been born, a promise to give her life for her son Wolfe and die before she let Shinra get their hands on him. It was a promise Wolfe intended to keep going, at least until the day when he could fight Shinra head on, and give justice to the death of his mother.
Wolfe thoughts betrayed him as he got caught in his own little world and kind of zoned out a little. The next thing he knew he had gone off his intended path and was now heading towards the coast. Wolfe considered putting himself back on course to head to one of the towns he knew that was almost in the dead center of Lindblum, but as he thought about it, maybe it was a good idea to head to the coast. If he was Lucky maybe he could get a little relaxing time.
As they rode along his thoughts drifted again to what he was going to do. First and foremost he needed to find the old man and find out what he had meant when he had said something about an "evolution" and what it meant to Wolfe. If it was something he could use against Shinra then he would be more then happy to do what ever it took and deal with any outcome. As his thoughts crossed the idea of this "evolution" his mind kept going back to the idea of repaying Hojo for all the "kind" things he had done to so many others, and giving him what he deserved.
As Wolfe hit the coast he turned and started heading north. After about an hour of riding he started to notice airships passing in the distance and knew he wasn't that far off from a town. He then kicked it into overdrive as the bike under both him and Rena began to roar even more and picked up more speed. He continued at this pace till something caught his eye int he far far distance. However, there was no way his eyes could be right. He just shook his head at first as they came closer and closer towards the where the town should be at and as he did Wolfe realized he hadn't imagined it. In the distance coming from the very sea was a monster, and large one at that.
Wolfe's eyes widened as he hit the brake and turned the bike and came to a sliding stop. They had stopped on the edge of a cliff that overlooked the town down and below in the distance. As he scanned the area he could make out the monster and it was huge. It was at that moment when from just above him he caught something fly right above them. Wolfe looked up as it passed overhead and for a second before it was too far to see, he saw a creature with large wings flying at the monster in the distance. Wolfe assumed the creature was heading to engage it. It was at that moment as he looked in that direction that he saw movement on the ground near the water as it seemed some people were already there and trying to engage the monster.
Then Wolfe caught something out of the corner of his eye and turned his head to see an airship flying from the town and heading right at the monster. Wolfe squinted a little as he looked at the air ship but then his eyes widened as he realized the airship wasn't slowing down or firing. Wolfe thought about it for a second and then shook it off, there was no way that airship was going to do what he though it was going to. However, moment later he realized it was getting too close and there was only one thing it could do at that point,. and he opened his mouth to speak but was at a loss for words.
"no.. it wont......"
Then moments later Wolfe about shit himself as he watched it happen. He couldn't believe what he had just witnessed. He watched as the airship rammed itself right into the face of the monster and blew up. Wolfe once again went to speak but he couldn't make a whole sentence.
"holy...shit..."
Words failed Wolfe as his brain tried to process what he had just seen. As his brain finally caught up to the here and now Wolfe just smirked as he figured there was no way for the monster to still be standing, but Wolfe was wrong, very wrong. Wolfe watched with a total loss for words as the monster kept coming and wasn't felled by the airship to the face. It was at this moment that Wolfe realized that this was going to end bad unless something was down. Despite his chaotic nature in him telling him to just turn and leave, his good side was winning out and he felt the need to head out there and help, and try as he might to fight it, the good in him won out and he decided he would take his shots at this thing too. He turned his head to look at Rena on the back of Lilith and spoke
"hold on tight Rena, this is about to get bumpy and maybe a bit crazy"
As the last word came out of Wolfe's mouth he kicked Lilith into drive and kicked the motorcycle to life. Lilith did a wheelie as it took off gaining speed quickly. Wolfe turned the bike and ran it off the end of the cliff and the motorcycle with him and Rena on it went sailing into the air. About halfway down the cliff the ground shot outwards and it turned more into a hill. Lilith landed on he ground with a loud "THUD* and Wolfe turned the bike as it slid down the rest of the hill at breakneck speed. Just before they reached the very bottom Wolfe twisted the bike and gave it a huge thrust of speed that straightened out the bike and sent it into the air. It landed with another *THUD*. It landed into full speed as it hit the ground.
Within only about 30 more seconds they had reached the outskirts of town. Wolfe twisted the bike and came to as sliding halt. Wolfe turned to look at Rena behind him as he spoke
"i am sorry about that, but this is one of those times when my skills are worth while and i plan n trying to help. So if you want you can stay here and i will be back soon"
He gave her a quick wink and before she could even answer him he jumped straight up and landed on the edge of the roof of the building they had stopped next to. He then took off at breakneck speed as he jumped from rooftop to rooftop, jumping over groups of roofs at a time. It only took him a few moments before he landed on he edge of the beach and took off running at the monster. As he ran up he took note of the decent sized group that was already there and fighting the monster off.
He didn't give it too much thought though as he took off closing the gap between the monster and himself. As he got closer he was getting his first real look at it and Wolfe wasn't sure about this monster. It looked like it was a nasty beast of a monster and it looked a little pissed, but then again who wouldn't be pissed if they had just taken an airship to the face. Wolfe didn't have alot of time to really think about it as he was now right up on the creature.
Wolfe jumped up and just as his feet left the ground he reached his right arm back and wrapped his fingers around the the hilt of Cerberus. He pulled the blade up and over his shoulder just as he landed on the creature's knee. As he landed on the monster's knee Wolfe took a swing that cut into the monster's leg. Wolfe however wasn't even close to done yet, or even near his target as he pushed himself off the monster's knee and jumped farther up it's body. He next landed on the upper thigh of it's other leg and took another quick slice just as he pushed off once again sending himself farther of the monster's body.
As Wolfe sailed a little farther up the monster's body he took notice of the core in the center of it's body. Wolfe decided that would be his next target as he swung the blade up over his hand and spun the blade in his hands and held the blade above his head ready to plunge it deep into the chest of the monster. Just as he reached the height of the core Wolfe thrusted his arms forward and brought the blade from above his head down and stabbed it directly into the center of the core. He then swung his body back and brought it back down and bent his legs in. As his feet hit the chest of the monster he pushed back with all his might and pulled back and pulled the sword out of the monster's chest and pushed himself away from th monster.
While in mid air he did one flip so he was now facing the monster one last time in mid air as he he was flying backwards away from it. He reached his right hand up and slapped it on eh side of his blade and twisted his hand as he pushed it forward and detached the front blade from the main blade. As the blade slid off he wrapped his fingers around it's hilt and pulled the two blades apart. Wolfe smirked as he gathered all his energy to his center and he then swung both arms to the sides and focused all his energy to his hands and made the comment
"I hope you like this one"
Normally when he did Trinity Blade there was a first part but it would be pointless at this point and it would have no effect to a monster this size so he decided to skip it and go straight to the back half of the attack. He swung his right hand down a little and then made a swing that arcked across th front of his body. As he did so a wave of energy shot out from the blade aimed right at the center of the core in the monsters chest he had already stabbed. just as his first swing was done arcking across his body he swung his other hand in the same motion across the other way and once again created another wave of energy that was set to hit in the same place as the first.
The two blast of energy hit one right after the other right on top of the spot in the monster's chest, in he dead center of the core where Wolfe had already stabbed it. As Wolfe continued to fly backwards he did another flip and as he flipped he reached his right hand over the slid the front blade back into place and reattached it to the main blade making it whole again. A few moments later he landed on the beach in a crotch. He immediately swung his blade around and behind him as he held out his hand. He wasn't sure if the monster was close to going down but if not he had to be ready to defend so he prepped himself to do Blade Maelstrom if he needed.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Combat Abilities Used: Name: Trinity Blade Type: Attack Effect: Wolfe swings the blade down towards the ground, and as he does the smaller Back Blade detaches and stabs into the ground and disappears. Wolfe the starts running forward towards his opponent and jumps into the air. In mid-air he reaches his free hand to his blade and detaches the Front Blade and pulls it away so he is holding a sword in each hand. Just as he is above his target the smaller Back Blade shoots up from the ground right under the target cutting them and throwing them into the air. Wolfe then each blade once to form an X motion, and sends a wave of energy with each slice that hit the target sending them back into the ground, and Wolfe catches the Back Blade and attaches the blades back together as he lands on the ground some few feet away.
Clive came back to his hometown to see those he left behind when he went on his little trek into the heart of the Gaia. It was amazing how little the city had changed, this he noticed as he wandered through the streets of his hometown. He hoped he could find his mother, stop in for a chat, and throw in her face how far he has come. They really had a poor relationship, his entire life, it was just one argument after another – it is why she sent him away to that boarding school. Not that he should complain too much about it anymore, not after everything that has happened to him. Even with all the bad mixed in with all the good, it was still far worth the troubles that lead him to there. But, for now, it was time for a little vacation and romp around the old haunts. See those places he left behind for the better life outside the city’s walls.
Arriving at the air docks in the morning, the air was still cool with a light fog settled on the city’s lower east-side. Smoke from the industries in the lower south quarter were rising high into the air, choking out the ghetto quarter known simply as ‘The Crest’, Clive’s old neighborhood. It was a grey place, choked with smog from the nearby factories and overrun with crime and the grit of decades of misuse and ill-care. It is one of those places tourists avoid at all cost, little there to see but crime and poverty. The neighborhood is filled with those like Clive and his family, refugees from devastated regions, displaced by war or disaster, that all come here to Lindblum in hopes of starting anew yet only find another continuous ‘rat race’. They lived simple, pointless lives with the hope that somehow they’ll catch their break and slough off the chains of the proletariat class. With a quick air-taxi ride, Clive found himself back in this depressing squalor that he once called home.
A short stroll from the graffiti lined station, through the unkempt, rocky streets, under clothes lines hoisted over the streets between buildings and past street venders hawking day old produce and snake-oils. Soon, he found himself on Gin Street, the street he grew up on. There he spent most of his days, relaxing all cool, playing stick-ball outside after ditching school till some guys would start making trouble in the neighborhood. He’d get in one little fight and his mother would get scared, till eventually she sent him to live at that boarding school. A large apartment complex that was falling apart twenty years ago located on the half way down the block on Gin street, that was his home for many years and where he stilled believed his mother resided. Up the soot encrusted stoop to the rickety door, through that into the landing and the slightly greasy and ‘earthy’ smelling building. Up the creaky, rotten wood stairs to the third floor then to flat number 34, his old home. He rummages through a pocket and brings out a corroded old key, and blows the lint off it before sliding it into the lock and turns.
The door slowly opens, revealing a dusty flat of a few dark rooms. It looks as if the place hasn’t been lived in for a little while. Clive walks in, shutting the door behind him with a kick. “Hello!?” He called out, “Anybody there… helloooo!” No answer. “Mom?” Curiously, he walks in further. Past the door to his own room, the small water closet, his mother’s room, then into the kitchen. On the kitchen table there rested a single note on a plate with a glass salt shaker atop it. It was all coated in a fine layer of dust. He slips the paper out from under the shaker and blows the dust off, then reads.
”Dear Clive, or however comes looking for me. I have decided to spend the last of the savings on a personal trip for me, get out of this rancid hellhole and treat myself. I’ll be at the Golden Saucer till I either run out of money or I find someone that’ll treat me the way I deserve. Goodbye, Clive. I hope you’re doing as well as I hope I’ll be doing.”
Clive sighs as he tosses the note back down on the table, muttering to himself how this was so typical of his mother. He turns and heads back down the hall, opening the door to his room and rummages around, collecting a few items he left behind. Some old savings of a few hundred gil, couple of toys he had as a kid and his old lock-picking kit he had when he was part of the Bowery Boys gang.
Acquired: 257 Gil, few small toys, and a lock-picking kit.
With nothing else there for him, Clive departs, looking the door behind him and with a heavy heart, tosses the key away. He felt he’d never have to come back here again. Though it had been many years since he last saw his old home, it never felt like he lost it. It was always there when he wanted to return, and now that he had and saw there was nothing there, it left him feeling a little empty. With downtrodden ears and a sagging tail, he slowly trotted down the stairs and back onto the street, forever turning his back on the dilapidated building. Back out on the streets, he decided to cruise by a few of his old haunts and see if anybody he knew was still around – though he figured they were all either working for one of the nearby factories or dead from gang violence.
He headed to the stick-ball field, still just as he left it. A rotten field littered with junk and weeds, still smelled the same too, slightly acidic with a faint hint of sprouting weeds and mud. There were a few kids, of various races, playing there and paid no interest to Clive. He stayed and watched for a few moments, then departed, bored. From their he headed into the heart of the Crest, slowly making his way towards the Theater district for perhaps something to drink or eat, that was until someone emerged out of the shadows of a dank alley.
“We’l, We’l, w’at we gos’ere?” From the shadows there emerges a young Burmecian male, probably no more then ten years old, about the right age for a new gang member dressed in a poncho and sporting goggles similar to Clive’s. Based on the scarf he was wearing, the boy is part of the Shawnkills, the Bowery Boys rival gang. The young boy made sure to put himself infront of Clive’s path, blocking it. Clive just rolled his eyes.
”Not in the mood kid, go harass someone that cares.” Clive then tried to push past the boy, but the boy stayed in Clive’s path, this time he brandishes a small shiv.
“Na’ don’t’ink so,ye aint go’in now’ere.” Says the boy with a playful, though serious smirk across his lips.
Frustrated, Clive attempts to turn back, but then finds that more boys had emerged from the shadows to block his retreat. “You really are getting on my nerves.” The boys laugh sarcastically at Clive. “Ye’a rea’ funni guy.” Says the first; Clive turns his head slightly to get a better look at the first boy. “Ya, I’m funny…” There comes a cackle of electricity along Clive’s arm, arching and sparking. All four of the gang members warily step back, unsure if to flee or call the bluff, which was until an older member of the gang arrives on the scene.
“We’l, if it aint t’e ‘ittle rat-bastard Clive.” Says the man, no older then Clive, dressed in simple grungy attire with a permanent 5 o’clock shadow. “Knew I recog’ized t’at spark an’ rust red.”
Clive smirks and nods. “If it ain’t my old friend’ Mose the Flame. Still playing around on the streets?” “T’e money is rig’t. So w’at brings you around, did’in ye mum send ya away couple years back?” “She did, but how could I keep away from such a character as you, Mose, for very long. I was just itching to catch up on old times.” Mose laughs. “Oh, is t’at so Clive?” ”No, Mose, don’t get excited. Just had to pick up a few things before getting on my way, you know how it is for us wandering types.” “Oh ya, ya, I know… so w’at ye pick up? Hmmm? How about ye hand it ova ‘ere so I can ges a’look at it.” “Can’t do that Mose, sorry.” “Aww, t’ats too bad, ‘cause ye see, ye bein a Bowery Boy in Shawnkill turf mean ye best have a ‘ittle offer’in of goodwill.” ”Les ‘ust cut’em!” Yells the young Burmecian. “Shh! S’ut up, Oliver.” Scolds Mose.
Clive crosses his arms, letting his staff rest between them. “Mose, I left that life a long time ago, I don’t play by the rules of the streets anymore.” “T’at so, t’en t’at means we don have’ta cut ye any s’ack, jus’cut ya.” Mose smiles devilishly.
Clive sighs. “I was hoping you say that.” Suddenly a large bolt of lighting shoots out from the top of his staff and strikes Mose dead center, blowing him to his back. He lands hard on his back against the cobblestone street, making a cracking thud. The other boys scatters momentarily, afraid they too would be hit, then slowly emerge back out from the shadows to see what happened to Mose. By then, they find Clive standing over Mose, who appears to have lost his breath and whose body is smoldering slightly.
“Ya, Mose, forgot to mention that I happened to get that electricity problem I had under control. What about you? Still catching your pants on fire?” Clive’s moment of triumph however was cut very short when then there came a loud roar in the distance, followed by the sound of destruction. Overhead, airships scramble in the skies, shooting off to the north walls. The five of them on the streets stop what they are doing and watch the spectacle unfold in dumbstruck silence.
“Wha-wha- wha… was t’at?” Mose chokes out as he tries to catch his breath. Clive looks around, wondering himself. “Dunno, Mose. Truce till we find out?” “T-truce.” “That’s what I was hoping you’d say.” Clive leans down and helps Mose up, then ushers the lot of them to follow him. They head for rickety old scaffolding, climbing up it quickly to the roof of the apartment building it is attached too. Once there, they see the horror that is befalling their city.
”W’a… is t’at?” Oliver asks while staring with eyes transfixed on the giant of sinew, magic, and power that is ripping through the wall of the city in the north. None of them knew and remained silent as they watched.
“Whatever it is,” Clive says. “It ain’t friendly, and down right ugly.”
“T’ing is gonna tear t’e city apart…” Mose mutters.
“Probably,” Clive reassures. “Well, goodluck with that!” Then he turns and begins to walk away.
“Wait!” Mose calls. “Ye not goin ta do something?” He asks, wondering. “Ye gos power now an’ this is ye neighborhood as much as t’e rest of us. Ye just can’t turn ye back on us.” “Watch me.” He walks off towards the scaffolding, but before he slides down, he hears the faint whimpering of a crying child. He glances back to see Oliver and several of the other young boys whimpering out of fright. They might act tough on the streets, but they were just boys. Mose tries to calm them, saying it’ll be ok, but Clive knew something like that would just eat the city up and, least for him, it be best to skip town before it got near 33rd street.
Clive rolls his eyes and sighs, going to regret this. He turns back around. “Fine, but what can we do against… that!” Pointing towards the ‘thing’ in the distance.
Mose shrugs, what would he know. They didn’t know what was going on, just that something ugly this way comes. That left Clive as the only one to come up with something, and something quick. He rubs his forehead, this wasn’t his realm of expertise, but Mose was right about one thing through all this, The Crest was his home, even if he felt he left it behind a long time ago. “A’right, this is what we’re going to do. You want to protect The Crest? Then round up the gangs; that will give us a small army to work with. We know the streets better then anyone else, we can get close, hit it quick and retreat before it can find us. Guerrilla warfare style. It’s coming in through the north. Have them assemble near the Theater district. Go quickly. I got to do something.”
Mose and the three other boys nod, then scurry away quickly to all four points where the gangs exist, leaving Clive alone on the roof. He stays for a while, watching the beast in the distance come under attack by a hodgepodge of airships and knights and who knows what else. Clive breathes in deeply, gritting his teeth. He knew by the end of this, there would be much pain – and it probably all find its way to Clive, as it always did.
-Current-
Assembled in the Theater District, like well organized militia, are hundreds of teens and kids, from all racial backgrounds from all around The Crest and other neighborhoods. There, for example, is the Eastman Gang, dressed nicely in top-hats and canes – they are rich boys from the Business District, bored with the life of the middle class, trying to cause some trouble. They are not very tough, but they had money to get nice equipment and those canes housed some fine blades or clandestine guns. They mill around, talking, cracking jokes about the others. Near them were some rough and tumble looking street urchins with red stripes sewn into their sleeves. They are the Dawnbreak Boys, and known for their use of knives. They never speak much, except when about to rob a potential sab, they liked to creep their targets out with knife tricks.
The next gang that arrives is the Hook Gang, a very strange group of roughians from the lower Air docks. They are all missing their left hand, it instead replaced by a sharp and crusty hook attached via straps to their wrist and arm. They take their namesake seriously. They begin arguing with another gang, the Plug Uglies, over some petty disagreement. The Plug Uglies wear pants which right leg is shorter then the other, leaving it partially bare. They use magic mostly and have some say in local politics.
Finally, Clive mingles with his old gang, the Bowery Boys, who are readying their simple ‘pipe-guns’. Simple rifles made of discarded lead pipes, fastened with wood stocks and modified to allow simple steel balls to be fired from them with loose black powder. One member tries to offer Clive one gun, but he rejects it, motioning to his staff and stating that’s all he’ll need. Soon, the Shawnkills arrive, lead by Mose and wielding an assortment of odd weapons and their signature shillayes. The gang leaders muster, go over briefly the terms of the truce and then rallies their members.
Clive prefers to stay off to the side; he did his deed by tossing out the idea of organizing the gangs together to act as a resistance. They might not get along and occasionally break into street wars, but Lindblum is their home and nobody would take that away from them. For now, they’ll throw themselves at whatever this beast is, even if their efforts will be futile. After a few more moments of meandering about and staring warily in the distance at the looming giant; a rallying cry comes from their leaders, which is met in reply and in another moment, a flood of gang members flow out into the streets, charging at the incoming beast.
“Well, this should be fun.” Clive sarcastically mutters as he walks slowly behind the initial wave. He opts to get off the street and enters into a multistory building, followed by a few other Bowery Boys with their pipe-rifles. They run up the stairs till they reach the roof where upon they find the beast several blocks away, smashing into everyone and everything. Sounds of battle wage all around, blasts of fire, ice and other elements shoot out from the streets at the beast. From above, airships open fire, even one as ballsy as to literally crash into the damnable beast. Clive cringes at the sight. “Yikes!” The other gang members with him yelp in amazement, even after taking an airship to the torso, the thing still kept moving. They couldn’t believe their eyes, and neither could Clive. “Well… that was kinda cool, too bad it worked about as well as a tooth pick to a Ronso… Come on! Fire!” He commands pointing to the beast, followed a moment later by a barrage of bullets all aimed at the creature.
On the streets, the gangs have gone to work setting up traps, using clothes line and whatever else they could to set up triplines or anything else they could come up with to impede the beasts movement into the city. Pipe guns roar with blasts, low level magic shoots out, crazed gang members even attempt to jump onto the beasts back from roof-tops – namely Hook Gang members, and it doesn’t end well for them when their bodies were flung away. Through the chaos, Clive approached the edge of the roof he stood on and slammed his staff down. He raises a hand towards the beast in the distance while lightning swirls around his arm, coursing through the copper gauntlet.
The sky above the beast goes dark, storm clouds forming out of nothing. Bolts of lighting erupt out from the foreboding clouds as suddenly a large and ancient, ageless mage with a beard and mustache, balding and wearing blowing robe, bearing the dazzling power of lightning in a long staff, emerges before the beast. Summon: Ramuh – Judgment Bolt: Ramuh raises his staff into the sky, forcing lightning to strike the orb at the top like a lightning rod, then is cast straight into the beast, striking the orb in the center. Suddenly an explosion of lightening bolts erupts from the staff and Ramuh, striking the beast multiple times. A torrent, a storm, of beautiful lightning strikes the beast with unrelenting fury. The bolts hit the beast on various spots as they rain down from the sky, while a large bolt snakes through the staff and straight into the beast’s weak-spot. The storm ends, the clouds subside, and Ramuh disappears.
A rallying cheer erupts from the streets as the gangs invigorate themselves over Clive’s summon, furthering their resolve to push this beast back to the sea from whence it came. However, Clive was less then thrilled, the beast merely roared with anger and only appeared to get more pissed off. Clive slouched his shoulders and sighs. “Woo... we’re dead.”
Post by August Krasnow on Jan 15, 2010 20:19:23 GMT
“Well, imagine that.”
From the aft observation deck of the Hijrah sits August, reclining comfortably in a deck chair watching the sight unfold below on the streets of Lindblum. Beside him stands his dutiful man-servant, Kane. The Hijrah itself is still around thousand yards off from the beast from the sea and maintaining a safe altitude above. For now, they were out of harms way with an amazing view of the battle below. It was almost a fascinating spectacle to behold, a magnificent specimen such as this to be beholden by one such as August. He felt nearly obligated to study it, if only he could before the uncouth armies below would push it back – if they could push it back. August stands then to better survey the scene and approaches the railing.
“We come to Lindblum to put in for repairs, and here, we find that it is Lindblum is the one that needs repair!” He scoffs. “Irony! What you think Kane?” He looks back, to Kane, only to find him standing static as always. “Kane, lighten up. This-“ He motions to the beast. “This is an astounding sight to behold. Never have you witnessed such a creature before, have you?” August chuckles, “I almost feel bad for the thing, imagine what can be learned from such an entity as that- that creature!” He turns back to the best, folding his hands behind his back. “I almost feel bad in what I’m about to do.” He then raises his hands and claps lightly. Almost immediately a servant comes to his side, entering from the smoke room that the aft observation deck backs against. The door slides open and the young man in white and black coattails and felt gloves approaches. “Yes, master Krasnow?” “A drink, to celebrate the arrival of what I feel will be a long series of events to come.” “Your wish, sir?” ”We are in Lindblum, are we not? Something with Lindblum gin in it, surprise me as to the details otherwise.” “Very well, sir.” The servant nods and departs quickly.
With a smile of curiosity, August returns his attention back to the battle below. “I wonder, I’ve read of it before, but could this be related to the Solomon Blight? Resurgence perhaps, details were never really clear about it.” He nods. “In the last days… a king shall appear… he shall conjure up great plans. And, when they least expect it, work havoc on many. He shall challenge even the Prince of princes, and be broken… but not by the hands of men.” He looks to Kane. “Almost sounds like this, doesn’t it. Here, we as a society have grown weak and complacent and then along come something greater then ourselves which only intends to devour us like little candies. How I do enjoy these spectacles, really puts life into perspective. Don’t you agree?” He looks back to find Kane, the same as always, but sometime during his speech, the servant boy had returned with his drink of on a tray. A martini, of course, simple and straightforward but always acceptable in any situation, be it a city destroying monster or elegant party. He takes up the drink, fingers gracefully twiddling around the thin glass stem as he takes a gentle sip. “Ahh, delightful! You may go.” The servant nods and departs back into the smoke room as August turns back to the battle below. “Well, suppose we shouldn’t just sit idle any longer. The city does make some fine gin; it would be a travesty if that was destroyed, even if by such a fine creature as that. Kane, be a dear and inform the captain we’ll engage the beast. I’ll be on the keel observation, setting up the Eastern Star. Patch the tubes down there when you have a chance.” Kane nods and departs inside, leaving August alone for a moment to take another sip from of the martini and gaze at the creature with longing to understand its peculiar ways and strange origins. A trickling of sadness grows within, knowing that this new creature will have to be dispatched. The ignorant fools below know nothing of scientific pursuit and rather see the beast dead when so much knowledge could be gained from it. With a final sip, he turns away from the railing and flings the nearly empty glass over the side, then enters inside.
On the keel observation, August sets up the Eastern Star on a rotating swivel facing starboard, there are four of these swivels located on this platform, one in each direction. A brass pipe juts down beside each station and once August has set up the Star in the one, he turns to the brass pipe, flipping the cover off to speak. “Captain, bring us starboard along side the beast, maintain a safe distance. Keep a minimum of hundred yards. I repeat, get no closer then one hundred yards.” ”Understood.” The voice echoes back down the tube.
The Hijrah swoops down from its high perch, like a bird of prey and enters the fray with the other airships that have already engaged the creature. Gun powder and smoke choke the air, magic shoots by like wayward birds crashing through the sky and down upon the giant beast. The closer the ships get, the clearer the creature becomes. A gnarled mess of some other worldly sort, crawling with… what appears to be people. A peculiar sight, but not of any concern to August as the vessel swooped in to cut across the path of the beast and begin the assault. Readying his rifle, August swivels it toward the creature and fires the first shot. A ray-burst erupts out from the Eastern Star and streaks down at the beast from the depths. It strikes the entity’s armor, searing it but failing to penetrate through. August fired again as the Hijrah crossed by, aiming for the head. Even there, it seemed to only be phased in passing, barely noticeable. As the Hijrah circles, it narrowly avoids a sweep from the creatures arm, jeering away in the nick of time. August nearly slides off the deck, holding fast to the rifle. Once balance was regained, he quickly unfastened it from its perch and moved to the aft one. Sets it up and begins another barrage along the creatures back, streaking the ray-beam along its back. It roars out, turns and tries to strike the Hijrah but alas was just out of reach. August turns to the pipe. “Give her more berth, she’s starting to get angry.”
The Hijrah pulls back another hundred yards, giving way to the other airships and most importantly the beast itself. August repositions the Eastern Star and waits for the creature to be distracted by something else from below, and once that happens, August calls back for the bridge to come along side once more. This time, August concludes, he’ll target the orb in the center. It appears to be a weak spot and, perhaps, worth the trouble to test this theory. Once within range, August focuses – despite the blasts coming at the ship from all directions.
CA: Widow’s Son V.2- August steadies himself, letting the charge build inside the rifle for a few moments. The brass and steel of the rifle begin to glow red, budding with power and heat. Another moment he waits till the orb in the creature’s chest is directly before him before letting the shot fly free. A large burst of energy and heat explodes in a large and long beam, packed with energy comparable to Flare atop its already immense power. It strikes the Orb with a billowing impact, the heat causing steam and particles to blow off in a cloud from the creature’s chest. That had to hurt it, somehow, someway.
The Hijrah quickly banks left, away from the beast after the shot. August wanted this played safe, leave the daring antics to the ones on the ground. He wasn’t going to risk his life or the ship, not over something like this. He rather up and leave, cut any loses then do something foolish. From a safe distance, he informs the bridge to holdfast and wait for another opportunity to engage.
Then, while he waits, he hears a peculiar sound come from one of the brass tubes, like something rattling inside it. He turns and approaches the port calling tube, seeing it jitter peculiarly. Curious, he opens the cover and hears a most unusual sound emanating down the tube.
*GWOK!*
This is followed immediately by a black object sliding out of the tube and landing on August’s face and before he can react, the Oglop leaps from August’s face and onto the Eastern Star behind him. August immediately turns, angry and perplexed, gritting his teeth and furling his lips. This was insulting, to get a face full of bug, what type of trick was this? Who onboard would make a mockery of their employer? He storms towards the little insect, who pays August no attention and that is when he notices that the Oglop is unlike other Oglops he’s encountered before. It appeared dressed in some type of strange, tiny armor and had a tiny little pack on its back. It even wore little goggles over its bug eyes. August then stood there, dumbstruck, as the bug prepped itself for something while standing atop the rifle on the pedestal. It stretches its little legs, and then bounces along the barrel of the gun, making tiny ‘gwok’ sounds with each bounce. It stands at the edge and appears to be about to make a high dive, August slowly walks closer, curious about this particular Oglop that acted so strangely, but before he could get closer, the bug leaps from the rifle and over the side in a swan dive. August rushed the railing and looked down, a tiny black speck quickly plummeted towards the ground, then suddenly, once it was about to be out of sight, it sprung what looked to be a parachute of some sort, a tiny little canopy that let it slowly and softly float down onto one of the rooftops below, where there appeared to be several people stationed to combat the invading beast.
August stepped back, confused and bewildered, scratching his head. “Did… I just see a bug do a HALO jump?” He shakes his head in an attempt to reason with his mind that what he saw wasn’t what he saw, then returns to readying the Eastern Star for another barrage when in range.
Solomon's Key: Actions
After seeing that it had some opposition the Key began to resonate some kind of energy, it seemed that it was begining to charge its power into the core on its chest. To those who had not experienced such a thing before, what was going on was impossible to know.
But Belzera would know. And perhaps...Ruien. Novadrive was being charged. [ Nova Drive will fire if not stopped within the next 2 posts, take note that those who have reserved spots but have not actually posted ARE possible targets]
The number of people steadily began to increase, allowing Ruien to take a moment to stand back and take in the full sight of this creature, allowing him to gauge any possible weakness this creature may have had, it still had eyes which was always a good thing, it made crippling it that much easier. He took another step back and narrowed his eyes.
"Necromancy?" He asked himself internally as he witnessed it, perhaps he would be able to use that to his advantage later on, but he would have pre-plan that move in advance, but for now, the reanimated slaves were doing their job and creating an ample distraction. A third step back, he began to think out his next move when he felt it. A strange kind of energy, massive in power it felt as though it was possible to distort the very air Ruien was breathing. He paused for the briefest second and again it happened. Rapid flashes of a life he had not lived, many dead, major destruction, and mass energy.
"What is this?" He raised his hand up to his head and closed his eyes, the visions became painful and then abruptly stopped, a single voice echoing throughout his mind as he stood up straight, the voice familiar but in what way he could not remember.
"My present to you." Ruien stood in silence a moment longer, his eyes drifting over the body of the creature and landing on its chest. At the core in its center. A small smirk once again twisted its way across his face as he lowered his stance for the second time, this time; however, he knew exactly what he was going to do. This particular chaotic release of energy had been given a name. Yet Ruien did not know, nor did he care about the specifics, this attack would be disastrous if he allowed the monster to complete it. Swiftly he sprang forwards, enveloping his feet with the VII Flame as he ran.
"Damn it. I kind of wish I knew where Heru-Soeki was." He cursed internally; his up coming attack would be so much easier if he still actually had contact with him, but, for now Ruien would have to make do with what he had. His own agility and control over the VII Flame. He neared the creatures’ feet and snapped his fingers, the usual black spark jumping between his middle finger and thumb as he did so confirmed that his instruction had been followed. As if to back that up seconds later a large burst of Black Fire quickly flashed into existence and then out of it again directly in front of the creatures face. It staggered and swayed for a brief moment.
"Now!" He instructed himself harshly. Leaping from the ground and onto the leg of the monster less than a second later. The VII Flame came into itself now, the part of it that was enveloping Ruiens feet keeping him anchored to the leg of the creature as if he was stood on solid ground. He made no effort to pause, nor slow down, he continued at the rapid pace he had started at and began running up the leg the second he had landed. He kept the output of power relatively high, so that the creature would at least feel the pain of the VII Flame, which would hopefully weaken it further.
"I'm not entirely sure why I'm going to even bother trying to stop this attack. Even if it does target me I can block it." Ruien mused, finding the very thought of this attack being blocked by something so much smaller than the creature a laughable one. In fact, the way Ruien pictured the sight actually made him laugh out loudly to himself as he continued to run forward, slowly closing the gap between himself and his target, of course he knew that the path to such a gaping weakness would not be a straight forward one.
"Hmph. Ok, lets just hope this thing isn't as moronic as I think it is." He said calmly to himself, bounding forward in a large step and then jumping in order to avoid one of its claws as it swung down at Ruien in a futile attempt to brush him away. He laughed again, so tempted to mock the thing, but unsure of whether or not it would be sentient enough to understand the taunt. In the end after it made a second futile attempt Ruien decided to save the effort of thinking up a suitable taunt for another day. The claw was raised again, however, this time Ruien was not going to waste effort dodging the swing, no, he enveloped his hand with the VII Flame and thrust it down, driving it into a concentrated point and stabbing it through the leg.
"Heh, you felt that didn't you!?" So, he had not managed to resist the urge completely, but he felt as though he simply had to say something as he watched the claw fall away from the attack as Ruien delivered the attack, it had brought him some time at least to continue running toward his target uninterrupted. Another jump, this time not to avoid an incoming attack, but to make the transition from one part of its body to another easier, a quick stop, just to stomp some of the VII Flame into the flesh of the walking monstrosity and then he was running again. He heard it screech, the sound almost an insult to his ears as it was shouted, and he knew that the small spot he had just given the beast was injuring it.
"Heh, Well, well, since I know you like it so much, here, have a present." He increased the power output at the spot he had just created, even as he was running. He was glad he had taken the time to create that spot, since right now that small spot of VII Flame was going to be causing more pain than the VII Flame enveloping his feet, making his running difficult to track by the pain alone. A simple tactic, but an incredibly effective one, quickly, Ruien chanced a look at his target, he was drawing close, not much longer now and he would be able to deliver a powerful strike.
"Now, here comes true finesse." He uttered calmly to himself, it was time to prepare his move. In the blink of an eye he summoned a small number of those spherical diamond-esque segments of his weapon and endowed them with only a very small amount of his otherworldly power, just to make sure that he would be able to pull off his entire plan without difficulty, well, any more difficulty than he was likely to have.
He reacted swiftly, he knew exactly what was coming, that clawed hand reached for him once more, however, this time Ruien enveloped his entire body with the VII Flame, keeping its power output high. He smirked as the clawed hand retracted the second it closed around him, small segments of that hand would be missing right now, only adding to the pain it was about to feel, this was going to be a good show.
One final jump and he was on the final stretch, nothing but a short distance separated him from his target, however, again that clawed hand tried to grab at him. Rolling his eyes Ruien jumped over the attack and simply snapped his fingers, the creature staggered and swayed again, its arms falling to its side as the small burst of Black Fire once again flared into life right before its eyes.
"Now!" He really had to stop stating to himself when it was obvious to attack, but, this once, the timing was everything, he needed to be precise. As he landed he dismissed the VII Flame enveloping his body and moved it to both of his hands, thrusting his left hand forward, finger-tips first into the chest area surrounding the large bony sphere in its chest. He made a hand-hold for himself with that single attack alone and was able to hang on.
"With much love." Ruien said sarcastically, balling his right hand into a fist and slamming it against the core. The core was harder than he had anticipated and the impact initially shocked him, however, he was unfazed by the shock and slammed his fist into the core again, and again and again. Drawing in a deep breath and grunting with the exertion Ruien slammed his fist into the core a fourth time, this time spontaneously and drastically increasing the power output of the VII Flame enveloping his fist causing a small explosion of Black Fire.
Ruien could have almost yelled out in triumph, but he was not that kind of person. He had accomplished what he had set out to do and that was to create an opening within the core to fit several segments of his weapon into. Without hesitation he positioned his weapon exactly, placing exactly 3 of those spherical diamonds into the opening, quickly making sure that they only had a small amount of the VII Flame empowering them as he did so.
Sighing Ruien released his grip on his improvised hand-hold and allowed himself to fall toward the ground, doing nothing to even attempt to control himself as he fell. Only seconds later the fall was over and Ruien landed softly on the ground at the feet of the monster, quickly he ran in the opposite direction for only a moment, just so he could avoid being crushed and then slowed his pace to that of a casual stroll.
He continued to walk at a calm and collected pace, slowly gaining distance from his foe. Growing bored he summoned several orbs of Black Fire and began to juggle them almost absent mindedly, his focus and concentration, however, was on the several weapon segments he had placed within the core of the monster, where the small amount of VII Flame was now beginning to rapidly increase in power. In fact, that was increasing so quickly that the VII Flame exploded within the core altogether, a large pillar of Black Fire sprouting from the monsters chest causing it to reel back almost violently.
"Not done yet." He muttered, turning swiftly and repositioning the weapon segments in a rough line, still aiming at the core. And then he threw the three orbs of VII Flame at their target, as each orb passed through the pre-positioned segment of his weapon, he focused more Black Fire into the segment, drastically increasing the power output of each individual orb of the VII Flame he had thrown.
"Three." He began to count down, calling the segments of his weapon back down to join the rest he had previously summoned, keeping those orbs of Black Fire in his sight.
"Two." A small smirk twisted its way across his face as the attack closed the distance to its target at an almost impossible speed, gathering even greater momentum.
"One." They were inches away from striking true; the impact so close that Ruien could already imagine the outcome and aftermath of the attack.
"Boom." He said calmly, watching as the impact jarred the very ground he was stood on. Several bursts of Black Fire marked the almost silent explosion as did the recoiling creature, almost falling to the ground as the attack hit it hard. He yawned widely as the palpable energy that was previously being charged dissipated abruptly. Turning his back to the creature once more he took another step away from it before turning to face it again, smirking at the result.
"Such a shame I had to miss the head, then again, I highly doubt that even an attack like that could do anything to remedy the extreme insult I'm looking at." He said calmly to himself, so far this thing had been an insult to Ruiens prowess, but it had proved to be somewhat fun, so at least this was not shaping up to be a complete waste of his time, and who knew, perhaps the excitement would only increase from here, especially after such a brutal strike from Ruien to that disgusting abomination.
The demon manages to pull himself on his feet in time to see the attacks hit the giant sized creature which broke the massive Blizzaga spell, he had already knew how far Blue would go so he wasn't surprised by her actions. Standing up straight still heavily drained the demon tightly grips the Eden as he starts to run towards the giant creature. Two voices echoed inside his head as he ran, a long lost memory came to the surface.
"ANIMUS!!" "You called" "Do you know why he fights? why he never gives up?" "Neither do I, I'd be surprised if there was a single person in the universes that did except for Him" "How did i know, i know you well enough to read your thoughts" "I do know, that you three saved his life" "The day you arrived was the day he should of died. The Assassin that would of killed him missed his heart. You and Joan both, if you still remember, knocked him while struggling with one of his servants as you where shown your quarters. He knew he had been saved when the dagger ran through him. Didn't you ever wonder why you three often met with him when you were still slaves? I mean most other slaves never really met with him until they became servants, which normally took one or two years, You saved him and on that day, Belzera became the most dangerous being, for you see Belzera now only fears one thing and one thing alone the King of Dragons, Yet however, he has faced that fear and will soon be able to conquer it forever and when that happens, their greatest fear will come to pass, the event that an oracle once told would happen 'Even surrounded by enemies and allies, he shall not fall, he shall survive against a world that wants him dead, he will fear nothing and on that day you will die' The oracle spoke those words the day Belzera was born"
The Demon smiles softly remembering that prophecy 'He shall survive against a world that wants him dead' as he spreads out his wings and rushed towards the creatures legs, the Eden held against his body as he cut through the sky with grace. Memories flooded infront of his eyes of times where the demon had held the power of the summon Eden, of the times he had used it to great effect against similar beings, even against the Union of gaia, yet now all the demon had in his hand was the infernal sword made from the dead, He would not however fall here.
The Demon flies past the Sorceress hanging on the back of the creatures legs, grabbing her hand with his free hand he pulls up flying at the sky before he spins around and throws Blue upwards so that she could get back onto the things head, his energy was still drained but he continued to fly around the creature as he sees something he did not want to happen.
"Shit Nova drive!"
The Demon shouts out as he darts towards the core however an explosion infront of him stops his reckless charge in mid-flight, the demon knocked back slightly unsure of what had just flown past him however he knew the destination was the core, the demon's eyes focused on the core watching the energy quickly seep away ready to heal the creature. The demon suddenly darts upwards avoiding the swipe of the creatures hand before he spins the Eden around in his hand and drops himself firmly downwards impaling the creatures arm with the long blade of the Eden. The demon grins and breathes indeeply as he summons forth the darkness to cover the Eden's blade allowing the demon to start siphoning the creatures vast energy into himself.
Blue I need you to defend me for a few minutes
DARK EBORUS
The demon shouted reinforcing the blade over and over with the skill as he continues to drain the creature of its vast energy in order to restore his own from earlier, he closes his eyes and focuses on the Eden and restoring himself from the giant creature while he could feel blue unleashing barrages of Hecto and Kilo flares at the creatures face while the demon held on for dear life using the Eden impaled through the creatures arm.
The demon could feel the energy of the creature flowing through its body, he could taste something strange within it yet he couldn't be sure what exactly it was it didn't seem like the blight it made him recall Morona, so the demon knew for sure there was a link between the two, yet he had seen Morona's corpse in that dead Gaia only days before he found the gateway. Again old memories stirred inside the demon as he was finally restored. He stands up and removes the Eden from the creatures arm and opens his eyes before he lets himself fall backwards off of the creatures arm, he heard a chorus of screams... Blue, Lillian, Joan, Jasmine. He smiles and closes his wings up completely as he twists around and builds up critical speed, quickly spreading his wings wide and pulls himself up and loops through the air returning to face the Creature, his eyes noticing the dead beneath him moving on their own, he also caught a familiar 'scent' on the wind. The Demon's eyes sharpened as he scanned around for the sign of that halfling Celt, yet he couldn't see anything, unaware he was currently floating about Ruien, who in the old gaia was the brother of Celt.
"It couldn't be Celt is dead..."
He muttered before returning his gaze to the creature and smiling
Hey blue, you might want to get behind the creature.
He tells blue as he closes his eyes and breathes in deeply as he starts to prepare his brutal onslaught he mutters a sentence as a purple mist flows from him spreading out around him before it all started to form into long purple Adonis's to what would appear to be key shaped blades to anyone who had never seen the Adonis before. Infront of the demon the mist formed into 104 separate Adonises while behind him an ever larger amount formed in the air.
"No holding back, this time I will throw everything I have at him"
The demon then holds out his arms as the Adonis forms in his right hand, everyone that could see the demon would experience some degree of fear, yet he was now behind a wall of floating blades that seemed ready to explode into a burst of speed and the rest of the air around him was covered in more floating blades, any that had seen him fight before would automatically be able to tell that the two types of blades would act completely different, yet the demon was not yet done with his preparation.
"The first step of the dragon king"
He says smiling faintly behind the cover of the blades as two small purple orbs of light formed at the tip of the Eden and the Adonis in his hands, another two start to form infront of the demons palms too, all four grow only to the size of a pencil, the demon then starts to slowly move towards the large creature.
"The second step of the dragon king"
The demon says using the words to focus on everything he was trying to achieve as this wasn't easy for the demon to do, in fact it was very draining for him, yet he continued as two more orbs of purple light formed infront of the demons shoulders, these two grew larger and larger to the size of a football, the lights where blinding to all that looked at the demon however the demons eyes where focused on his target alone, his lips curling into a smirk
"The final step of the dragon king"
The demon says as he suddenly bursts forwards incredibly fast towards the creature as a final orb of purple light started to form infront of his face like before, however the demon smirked as the creature swung for him.
"DEMONIC BARRAGE"
The demon twists and points towards the arm with the Adonis unleashing the first row of the Adonis's blasting the demon backwards towards the ground as the sound barrier is broken ed and the sky is filled with the sound as the 26 blades impaled into the creatures arm and managed to cancel out its momentum with the supersonic speed of the first row, the demon then continues to burst towards the creature sweeping his arms out as he gets close.
"BARRAGE"
He shouts unleashing the immense numbers of blades towards the creatures torso causing them to hit it hard, before the demon points the Adonis back towards it and with a cruel smirk he smiles, the Mega-Flare was now half way charged the energy crackling dangerously infront of him.
"DEMONIC BARRAGE"
He shouts again firing off the 3 remaining rows, 78 blades all blasted the demon backwards away from the creature, causing him to flip in the air as the sonic boom deafened nearly everyone around him as the barrage of blades hits the creatures core hard and fast, the demon didn't let up.
"HECTO"
He shouts as he swings the tips of the two swords towards the core the four orbs of light burst off towards their target with a terrifying accuracy as they hit the spots what had already suffered alot of assaults, the Mega Flare was now quickly approaching full size infront of him as he cut through the air with the Eden and the Adonis
"KILO"
The two Kilo flares burst through the mega-flare towards the same target their force smashing the core harder the demon grinning wildly starting to feel his energy slipping away once again as the Mega Flare was finished infront of him, the demon releases the Adonis which falls through the air spinning around as it slowly returned to the mist while Belzera grips the Eden with both hands and unleashed a might roar once again. The mega-flare is fired off straight at the creatures heavily beaten core the energy once again filling the distance between the demon and the key in an instant while some of the energy twists from the path curling around the pommel of the Eden as it absorbs some more of the mega-flares energy into it while the rest is tearing through the creatures battered armor. In his hands the pommel of the Eden glowed faintly for a second with a fire red light as the symbol 'II' appears on it which the demon catches this time as he smiles unleashing the final touch onto his combo as he slams himself and the Eden into the core of the creature, the blade glowing black with darkness once again as the demon starts to resuming siphoning off energy from the creature however the demon didn't fully replenish his energy this time, he knew he wouldn't have the time. He pulls away from the core after only managed to restore himself partially and he quickly darts upwards grabbing Blue from the creatures shoulder before he smiles at her and dives for the ground quickly dropping blue off from a very low point before he loops through the air again once more standing behind the creature staring intently at the battle Field for a moment looking over it to try and see if Celt was there, that 'scent' still hung in the air and if Celt truly was here he wouldn't be able to resist such a colossal force to test his power against. The Demons wings continue to flap slowly as he watches it retreat.
The monster crashed down on a single fist. For a moment it ceased to move. Its eyes lost their luster. Its core had lost its glow. Everyone would think the beast defeated. However...no one was so lucky. The beast's eyes shone once more. Ignited by some inner force. Cracks began to appear underneath the angel feaths on its arms, from these cracks shot off smaller four legged creatures around the same size as fangs. These creatures poured out of the Solomon's Key before it turned and made its way out of the city.
Although these monsters were not as much of a threat as the key itself. There were markings along their sides. Familar markings....
[[Solomon's Key retreats]]
"....A new begining..."
A voice would ring out in everyones minds....
A vision of a graveside...a blurred name on one of the graves....
[[ Genesis gives way to new life!]]
Demon's Cloud: Seeds Description: Weak monsters birthed from Solomon's Key. To certain people they will have a significance....these monsters should be wiped out now...before they have the chance to grow.... Information: 10,000 words to kill them all.
The demons eyes widen at the sight of these seeds, the demon however finds his energy slipping away even further as he starts to crash to the ground.
Miumi, Blue destroy these things NOW they cannot be allowed to escape or grow anymore these are creatures that can grow to become strong enough to kill SIN, I'll leave this to you two, get going.
The demon broadcasts as he hits the ground hard, his energy slipping away, he hadn't absorbed enough energy to continue moving for a little while as he remembers the voice.
"So that was him?"
Song of Death, Ring through their ears... Show me their deepest fears
[/color]
T he voice that had begun to ring within his voice was a different one that Ayamu's, for a few seconds it took him a bit to remember that Belzera's contract was much like his and Ayamu's. As he nodded his head he stepped towards the creatures his eyes were flickering alive with mana, that actually glittered with the essence of his life. A few of the people who were near Miumi would back up in a state of fear as there were ripples of steam coming from Miumi's body as he looked up ahead at the spawns which were trying to escape from the town. As the soft smile that played Miumi's lips seemed so spell the disaster and the beginning of the end for those who dared to oppose him and his friends. As he Miumi just gently rose his hands to the sky. Suddenly wisps of steam flew from Miumi's body coiling around the very ground as the air around him heated up. It became like sticking his hand within an oven. The pain heat that was flowing from him was sweltering. Those people near him stepped away as their weapons began to become to hot some of them glowing like a sword being made, they dropped their weapons unto the ground while Miumi stepped forward. One of the spawn noticed Miumi and was actually stopping it's attack on a civilian to come closer towards the child. Miumi would show them what he was capable of. That he alone could bring this world down into fire.
As the spawns began to try to converge upon Miumi, suddenly the world was hot, it was glowing red, the very ground beneath Miumi's feet were actually glowing as if it were about ready to crack and break from the heat. As Miumi spiraled gently, it was just a simple spin but suddenly a hurricane of fire was flowing around Miumi's body. It was the true power of his magic. His level one spell was equivalent to a higher mage's power. As the flames flew up he heard the beast scream in agony, as he twisted his body the flames spread outwards burning away the monsters which had leaked into the city but the spawn kept pushing against Miumi's defenses. As one broke through the flames he realized that his power would not be enough. As he pushed off the ground he would land in front of the entrance of the town he wouldn't let them escape as he slammed down his hand a wall of ice flew upwards. IT would block their escape keeping people and the monsters in. As Miumi stood there there was something he was actually speaking as the beasts came closer. Miumi's body and voice radiated with power that was so fierce and fearful. He was bringing forth an entity of great power. IT was the aeon. Miumi seemed ot have created a chant for the awakening of Valefor it had been a while since he had used the beloved creature he figured it would be good for the both of them.
"Come forth, guardian of the sky and heart, spread your wings and tear my enemies apart with your tempest gales. Valefor I call for your assistance under our contract, I call upon your service."
O nce Miumi had begun to speak there was something strange about the area around him, it felt timeless as if there was something of ancient power coming from within him. As Miumi took a few wary steps towards the creatures that had spawned from that monster as the step of it's creator seemed to fade off into the distance. The warning that Belzera had given Miumi made him wary of them but he believed in his powers and his guardians who he assumed were within the city. As he finished moving he grabbed Ayamu raising him gently like some people would do a staff he was focused purely on that, the sounds of the world around him were fading away rather swiftly. Slowly he was pulling Ayamu down as if he were simply another child. For a moment Miumi's face was focused as Miumi spread his arms as if welcoming something into this world Ayamu hanging from his hand. Suddenly light flowed from Miumi it could be seen from through the city, spirals of light flew from Miumi like smoke from a cigarette wisping out from Miumi's petite form. That light held power within it. It actually caused a few people to flow behind him thinking he could be their wall. As there were lights blocking his body from sight, the only sight of him was his legs as the light spread out from them, a ring of white. It was just the beginning but as that voice had said, every end was a new beginning. This was part of Miumi's story.
While the light spread out the green light that enveloped Miumi spread outwards. Suddenly there was sound the hum of the energy caused some of the smaller fiends to cringe as Miumi just stood there as if nothing was wrong. The spawn were frozen in their spot did they realize that their end was upon them. Suddenly runes of the fayth began to spiral around Miumi they were in the hue of purple and lost among the light and it would all begin as suddenly beams of light fired from them guiding Valefor to Miumi. As the light flew into the sky. it could be seen all around the city. as the clouds themselves were being parted by this holy power that Miumi had. As the lights grew closer suddenly they exploded outwards revealing the clear blue sky which was hidden above the city. Suddenly there was nothing more to be seen as slowly there was something descending from the sky and it was heading towards Miumi. Spirals of the clouds were being pulled down by the speed of the creature. It's figure was like a deformed angel falling from the heaven's above. As it came down closer it's wings spread open and it landed beside Miumi. It was Valefor the aeon of the sky. It looked like a reptile mixed with an avion. As it landed Miumi stroked it's face just ever so gently. He pushed off the ground and flung himself onto the back of Valefor and made a gesture to the sky.
As he rose into the sky. The spawn were just gawking awkwardly. As he just smiled as he rose above the lower buildings feeling there was something it was within the other it was an over-drive due to the damage they had sustained over the battles before. Miumi had never neeed to use it before. Suddenly they were rising higher and he felt Valefor moving in a way he had never felt before. He felt the power radiating from the beast's chest as he listened to the dull hum of energy. As it looked down upon the creatures he just smiled as suddenly a rune of power formed within the air it suddenly was being replaced by a savage beam of energy which flew down the streets, slicing into the creatures which dared to get in it's ways. It had killed lesser monsters and destroyed some of the ground but the spawn were still moving they were stronger then even the aeons. As Miumi pet Valefor knowing that if Blue was going to attack next he would see Valefor leaving soon. He pushed off the other's back landing on the roof where he watched to see what happened next while Valefor disappeared into the sky. Thus was the very essence of his life his style was so strange but he felt a pain as he watched Valefor leave. He just reached towards the sky and offered a wave goodbye.
Blue smiles as the demon drops her off onto the ground and watches as the creature beings to retreat, a voice however invades her mind along with an image of a graveyard. She couldn't shake that this was some how linked to the Demon, to her knight. She was brought out of the vision by the demon screaming in her mind to destroy these new creatures there was an urgancy to his words that made her look to the demon. Her eyes widen as she sees him crash into the ground, she rushes over to him quickly, sliding to her knees and next to him hearing his whisper those four words. She then stands up slowly and turns around to look at these new creatures that Belzera claimed could destroy Sin if left to grow, that was something she was concerned about since she knew sin was a powerful and dangerous creature that the demon had claimed to know little about however if something like these creatures could destroy such a thing. She sighs softly and looks at these fang like creatures before she rushes towards the horde quickly, bringing her hands together as a red mist starts to trail behind her swirling around in the air and forming into red copies of Belzera's Adonis blade, these blades followed her and as she stopped she claps her hands together and the air explodes with a sonic boom as the 104 blades cut through the ranks of the demon seeds before hitting the earth with shattering force knocking large groups up into the air and then she saw it, an Aeon appear in the sky. She knew of the spiran summoners, those strange people who are willing to give their lives to defeat Sin for a decade, it was strangely beautiful as its wings flapped in the air keeping it in position as its summoner proceeded to give it commands, she blinks as the creature unleashes its overdrive on the creatures infront of her, she could see the Aeon's attack instantly cut through these creatures with easy. Blue however reacted quicker than the creatures could and ran towards one of the buildings, vanishing from others sight in an instant narrowly avoiding the stream of energy as she hides in one of the doorways.
"Talk about too close"
She chuckles to herself as she looks out from the doorway to see most of the creatures in this area where destroyed already by the Aeon. Blue bit her lip, she had planned on unleashing Ruination upon the area but now with such a powerful creature fighting she decided that right now the thing would be more help than a hinderance so she simply smiles and cracks hers fingers before she starts to make her way towards another large mass of the creatures that came from the larger creature, leaping into the centre of a large mass, landing with he knee connected with one of the fiends heads smashing against the ground hard killing the creature instantly, leaving her surrounded by a large mass of them, with blue licking her lips softly as she slides into her fighting stand.
"Well then little doggies how about you come get me"
She says mocking them with a grin as they leap towards her.
He whooped excitedly as the creature went down, dislodging himself from it in a rather graceful flip, tail trailing behind him like the smallest of comets. He came out of the curl a handful of yards away, landing with only the slightest bit of a skid as he did so. Momentum effectively released, he let his nose twitch a little bit, sniffing around. He had all sorts of nifty little things to tell the Headmaster when he got back to Balamb, including the events here.
But then, things happened. Things he hadn't even been aware could happen. It was like the armour of the thing was falling apart, cracking, with light, and time, and power. It wasn't... it wasn't something he'd ever thought he'd see - and he stared, mouth agape at the sheer wonder of it. He'd seen Fiends dissolve before, but this was different. This was... new.
The air tasted vaguely like ozone, and then...
A vision was shoved into his mind, taking up new space, jostling already distorted memories and broken visions. He could make no sense of it, that flash of vision scattered by his already off-kilter mind. He just shook his head, closing his eyes as he tried to right himself. He stuck his hand into his belt, tugging the trigger down with his free hand. A slight flick, and a small clip came falling out, tumbling to the ground.
He finally allowed himself to open his eyes once more, the distortion fading away. But he was not thrilled at what had come into being as he took his time getting ready, shoving the clip back in to his weapon, and locking it in to place. Knuckles whitened as he surveyed the area, now full of creatures and creatures, and creatures. He wished, vaguely, that he knew what these were - he might have come up with something a little more effective in countering these creatures.
But the air was changing again. It was softening, or perhaps, it was simply awe inspiring. He'd never felt anything like it - it made the fur on his tail bristle. But he knew better than to stand and stare - especially because he could hear the things skittering and chittering and they, too, weren't going to stop just because there was a pretty light show.
His body twisted, and he began to flourish. It was now that the true test of his mettle was there - he could see these creatures, and they weren't as giant as the thing - decidedly not a fiend - had been. He could fight these on his own terms. A little bit of a smirk touched his lips, drawing them up into a smile, as his tail started to twitch a little.
Asher was glad that he'd decided against a ribbon today - no doubt it wouldn't have survived this day. This was bigger than him - this was a beginning. For all of them. There were heroes in this city. Humans, Lucavi, and even Genomes - or at least one that he knew of. As his tail twitched, he stepped to the side, avoiding a charge from one of the creatures.
Muscles tightening, he vaulted forward, and he began to play in such a way that left things dead in his wake. The Spear was his weapon of choice, where most people who preferred to rely on dexterity and speed liked the smaller, flightier weapons. But he chose this because regardless of anything else, it gave him power, and reach and his own natural speed just made it that much more deadly.
He looked up, as the beast in the air launched a beam of compressed light. He almost panicked - he thought it was another enemy that he hadn't spotted. But when that laser cut through monsters not too far from him, he realized it was helping. He let out a furious sigh, glad at least that he didn't have to work with deadly lasers firing at him.
His body almost blurred, whirling around like a creature made up of blades and death for these things. He was panting rhythmically as he focused, a majestic dance of twists and turns that left him with little more than a few cuts and tears to his clothes where he let them get too close. He somersaulted, landing on a creature's head, though not hard enough to murder it. In fact, he used it as a springboard, revolving in the air so that the spear came cutting through it.
This made gave him the advantage of aerial attacks and distance that the creatures more or less would have a much difficult time assaulting.
The problem was that, despite all his training, he would start to feel fatigued if he kept this up too long without a breather. As he bounced and slashed and left little more than a wake of doomed creatures, he caught sight of another blur - - -
Crazy Lady! She landed with a thud, smashing one in to a million pieces, no doubt. He laughed a little bit, before realizing that he was letting himself get distracted. So much so that he missed a Fiend-Trampoline, and started to fall back in to the crowd proper. It was just lucky that he was who he was - one hand let go of the Spearshot, forcing his assault to stop at least temporarily, and as he came down, he used said hand to direct him into a simple roll.
This served two purposes: His momentum was maintained, and his body was still a moving target. He popped back up, launching himself forward. "Gooo crazy lady! Be careful!" He called, as loudly as he could, tail waving madly as he brought himself back up. For now, he was going to give himself a break. Leaping upwards, he hit a windowsill of the nearest building. He began to climb, much like his tail-sake monkey, until he was at a high enough vantage that he was out of the close range combat scene.
Snapping the gun-handle down, he grinned, and leveled the rifle mode weapon now. With ease, he poked around, trying to find a suitable target. He didn't even hesitate once he found a creature that seemed determined to join the fray. A squeeze, a shot, and that was that - the creature was fish food. Or roadkill. Or something that was dead and involved animals.
He wrinkled his nose at that thought - he'd lost it, somewhere.
"Man, this town isn't very lucky." He observed, as he steadily began to pick creatures off, one at a time, each requiring only one squeeze of the trigger. Despite his incredible melee combat performance, he was a marksman at heart. He relied on his speed and stamina up close.
From a distance? His eyes, his wits, his discretion, and most of all, his skill. He may not have lasers or fireballs or magical swords. But he could sure as hell nail a target from a distance, like a good rifleman should.
A cry went up by the surviving gangs when the beast fell, seemingly defeated by the efforts of all engaged. For a brief moment, this sense of overwhelming pride overtakes them all – together, they helped accomplish something greater then themselves, greater then the petty squabbles of street politics. However, this joyous occasion was not to last as after a few minutes, the creature stirred to life once more. The glow of the orb in its chest, the hue of its eyes, all returns as the creature lives once more. A retreat is called, the gangs pull back to a safe distance, and unsure what the creature would do next – though the retreat is too late. Soon smaller beasts pour out from the creature, spilling onto the streets. Creatures like fangs, small and hostile. Many of the kids are pounced quickly, before they can react to the new hostiles. Mose and other gang leaders take up a defensive position a few blocks away from where the beast fell and resurrected.
Clive, still on the rooftops, groans at the sight unfolding. “Whhhhyyyyy? Stupid thing!” He scolds. “I’m hungry! I haven’t eaten in two days! I just wanted lunch! But noooo, you had to come waltzing in here, wrecking the place up, then spit-up some other little nasty mothers! I could be at a pub right now!” Frustrated, he storms around on the roof, and then plops down in a sulking sit. The others on the roof with him watch the tirade, unsure what to make of it then opt to ignore him and return to firing on the smaller beasts in the streets below.
From above, then, comes a new unique sound – well not that new or unique, least for Clive. *gwok* Clive’s ears perk up, twitching to find the source of that sound. *Gwok* The ears twitch again; he knew that sound but refused to believe that it was what he was hearing. It couldn’t possible be what he thinks it is, not now, that was just too cruel. *GWOK* Yup, that was the sound he thought it was. It’s an Oglop, a particular Oglop infact, one that seemed to hate him with passion. Clive hung his head in his hands, nearly sobbing. He looked up from his hands, just in time to see an object float down from the sky onto the roof. It used a little parachute and landed quite surefooted. It pulled a tiny cord and the tiny parachute released and fluttered off in the wind, leaving just the little Oglop standing there, before Clive, looking triumphant and dignified – like an ace pilot posing for a photo.
Clive sighed. “Alright, do your thing, just get it over with. Push me off the roof, humiliate me, I don’t care.”
*Gwok gwok!* Said the little Oglop, flipping off its goggles, and then drawing a tiny little sword.
”Oh great, you have a sword. Not sure if I should find that cute or frightening, I’m opting for the latter.” He then shoots the bug a puzzled look. “Where the hell do you get these things, anyway? Armor, swords, costumes? Is there some oglop shop somewhere?”
*Gwok!* Said the Oglop.
“I don’t speak Oglop! Stop assuming I do!” Clive scolded, “Now just do it already so I can get on with slowly dying.” *Gwok gwok GWOK!* The Oglop turns and thrusts his sword toward the retreating beast in the distance, while bouncing up and down. Down below, on the streets, the Fang like creatures begin amassing, the building is now surrounded.
“Yo! Mate!” Cries one of the gang members nearby. “We bail’in, too many!” Suddenly all three of them turn tail and run to the far side of the roof and begin to flee.
Clive jumps back to his feet, “Hey! Get back here you cowards! Die like a squabbling coward like you’re suppose to!” He angrily raises his fist in the air as he yells. “GET BACK HERE!” But it was too late, the gang members were already over the side and gone. Frustrated, Clive spins back around to face his tormentor. “Well, are you going to make me look like a fool infront of the little beasts? I’m sure they’d love a dinner and a show.”
*Gwok!* The Oglop hops towards Clive quickly, the lightly slaps his foot with the sword, then stands beside him. “Gah! What’s your problem!?” *Gwok!* The Oglop slaps him again, then points to the beasts now scaling the edifice up towards them. “What, I don’t get it. Yes, they are coming to eat my face. Your-“ Clive slaps his head. “Oh… OH! Wait, you want to help me?” *Gwok gwok* He looks down to the tiny little bug. “So does that mean we’re like friends now or something?” *GWOK* The Oglop pokes Clive’s foot with the foot, aggressively. “Ouch! Ok fine, truce only then. Sadistic little roach.” *Gwok* Clive readies his staff, dropping into a defensive stance beside the Oglop, who readies his sword for the wave of beasts that approach. “So, you ready for this?” *Gwok gwok* “I’ll assume that’s a yes. So before we die, tell me, why did you decide to help me?” The Oglop appears to shrug its ‘shoulders’, *gwok gwok* “Guess that’s a good enough answer.” Clive charges electricity through his body, bolt arching between his hands and long his arms. “Let’s do this!”
As the first wave of beasts swarm over the side and onto the roof, Clive releases a bolt of electricity, striking one and sending it plowing into others behind it. Then, both Clive and the Oglop charge forth to meet the creatures head on. Electricity and steal, fur and chitin, meet fang in a bloody fray.
"Me, I'm dishonest. And a dishonest man you can always trust to be dishonest. Honestly, it's the honest ones you have to look out for."
Flying solo on his ship Sonzai had parked and stayed in the city of Lindblum; he was finally refueling the ship with more energy; a long and overdue tank refill. During that time he decided to stay in town a bit; to rest up and regain some energies form the long periods of time that he had been cooped up inside that ship. A break from the adventure; at least he hoped to get a rest from it...
By how Sonzai had actually stayed longer than what he planned to; a few days running around town doing nothing; meeting some of the locals and asking for some odd jobs where he got more money to use. He had not run out of money or anything; but it would not hurt him to earn some gil just in case anything happened. The experience of actually working would not be bad either; especially since he was living without income. The amount of Gil he had would not last him forever even if he used it sparingly.
After five blissful days of running around town, delivering packages and performing odd jobs, nothing really special. Sonzai had risen quite a bit of money during this time. He was actually impressed with himself. Sonzai got on his airship and started to fly off when he saw something interesting in the outskirts of the city. Down form the Sea rose a head; its body slowly revealing itself as it ascended. Sonzai took the ship a distance away and went back running toward the town; people screamed as they ran past him. The citizens were screaming for help; and truthfully Sonzai was one more time afraid for his life.
This time however; was different. He knew that no matter what happened; he would be dead if he ran or not; for this monster seemed to be one of those who would destroy everything in it’s path as it made way toward wherever it wanted to go to. Run and die… or fight for a chance to survive; that was the dilemma.
Sonzai ran toward the sea; where the beast had made its appearance just a brief moment ago. The creature was already defeated; but behind it left new seeds; ones he thought he should defeat as soon as possible. Sonzai held out his right hand; the necklace he wore started to float up; the small scythe flew out from its restrains and grew on Sonzai’s hands as it spun. The scythe stopped spinning and Sonzai grabbed it by the middle of the handle and made a short slashing movement as he got into battle position. “Magician’s slash” He said as his scythe grew colder. He slashed at a seed; realizing that taking one at a time would be something tedious to do.
He had never seen these ones before; not in pictures, or books. Undocumented creatures had risen before him and the citizens of Lindblum. “Wizardly slash” The blade of the scythe glowed a combination of orange and blue, the scythe itself started to steam vapor. Sonzai spun his scythe in front of him and slashed at the four legged creatures.
Small fries or not; monster spawns were never good news. And Sonzai was grateful to be somewhat late to the party; he probably would not have been of much help if he had stuck around; at least he could have the knowledge that he helped even if it was with the small fries.
Sonzai slashed at many of the small creatures that had infested the city; the small explosions form his scythe helping him get rid of more than one at a time.
The creatures surrounded him; he was in the middle of a circle of 3 meter radius. They were almost like ants as they ran around Sonzai; ready for an attack. Sonzai Slashed at the creatures again; some burned, some froze, some got caught up in between ice and fire, and some others with less luck were wiped out by being in the dead center of the explosion that the magical instability that Wizardly slash provided.
It would not be long now; everybody around him was helping take these small creatures out. This surprised Sonzai, for he knew that there were the same people who had taken the bigger beast out earlier.
Admiration of their strength compared to his weakness; each one of those fighters great in power. The Lucavi whom he was a guardian of, the magician who destroyed magic and the demon; all people he had seen before. Sonzai felt small, useless, and powerless when he was surrounded by them.
One of the seeds jumped at Sonzai attacked him from the back, though Sonzai had been lucky, this one was unable to be silent, Sonzai quickly moved his scythe and killed it. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
OOC: I took too long writing the post against Solomon's key T_T you guys kill these things so fast! *just rewrote the post*
Alister had just arrive in Lindblum Continent and thought he should get some rest before looking in the city for some things to do. As he began to walk he could see monsters everywhere, little creaturers running around destorying everything in its path. Alister notice few people trying to destory these monsters and thought to himself, "Might as well fight! Alister spoke with a sigh and took out his bow and arrow.
As he took a path that lead toward the main city he could see countless citizens running away from this creatures trying to survive. An ugly looking creature was now begining to chase a women that was heading his way. Streatching his hand back on his bow he released the arrow as it went straight toward the beast. A scream was made as it stopped chasing the female and turned its attention on Alister. "Howdy! Lets play fair now shall we?" Alister shouted toward the monster and began to release few more arrows at it. The arrows pierced into the monster's flesh as it began to screamed even more louder. This how ever wasn't the end of this creatures life as it now started to dart toward Alister in pure anger.
Grabbing another arrow from his back he aimed straight for the monsters face and began to feel his magic from his body entering into the arrow. The arrow began to glow white as Alister let go of the arrow, "Circle Bind! Alister shouted as the glowing arrow flew into the air landing right in the chest of the foul beast. Sprinting as Alister placed his bow onto his back he took out his short steel sword and made a horzantal strike going to the left, then the right. Few seconds later Alister shoved his steel sword into the chest of the monster. "Take that you ugly piece of crap! As Alister's magic had wore off on the monster it fell to the ground screaming in pain as it began to die slowly on the ground.
Alister now darted on the street that had several beasts devouring couple humans. "These creatures never end! Alister spoke to himself and placed his sword back on his side and lifted his hands over his back to get out his bow once again. Aiming at the first creature Alister could see he released the arrow as it striked dead on with the target. One by one did Alister send arrows at these creatures, but it seemed it wasn't enough to kill them straight on. Finally after his 6th arrow did the first creature fall to the ground, by this time Alister was now surrounded by four beasts.
Alister's heart began to beat faster, with every passing second as the monsters began to circle around him waiting for the perfect strike to make. Slowly taking out two arrows and placing it near his bow he aimed at the first creature and sent the arrows flying. Right after that he placed his bow back onto his back and took out his sword just in time to slice a creature as it jumped right onto him. As alister stabbed the creature that lunged right for him, he tossed it toward another creature making it slamming into it. This was giving Alister a few seconds to react and move onto another target but out of no where few more began to make a line facing ALister. "I guess this will be my time then! Alister spoke with out fear as he raised his blade and waited for the creatures to begin their attack. The creature began to run toward Alister, slow motion was in Alister's eyes as he prepared to strike the first monster, but a large beam went straight in front of him toward the creatures. The beam came from the air, as he looked it was some type of flying bird. It had saved its life, he was sure to find out who it belonged to when all this was over with. Taking his own blade he sliced through the damaged creatures one by one as they were still recieving the damage from the beam. it was Alister's only chance to kill the rest of these fould beasts. Seconds later they fell to the ground, "What are these things! Alister spoke to himself in a soft breath and took out his bow and began to run deeper onto the street to help the fellow warriors who were fighting to save this large town.
Wolfe watched as even more people showed up on the beach. He watched as each one had taken their shot at the monster just as he had done. He watched as each shot took more and more of the monster's strength away and laid waste to it. He was about to make his move and make another strike at the monster when it suddenly stopped and crashed down it's fist. Wolfe watched as it ceased all movement and if gave the prospect of victory to all those that stood on the beach. However, this moment of victory was short lived as the monster rose back to life with a renewed vigor.
Wolfe just shook his head as the monster erupted back to life.
"damn it... you have got to be kidding me....offff course that was too easy...."
Wolfe just rolled his eyes as continued to to shake his head. He went to take a step before he stopped mid-step. He watched as the monster Rose back to it's full height and stood there. At that moment he saw the flash of the graves with the blurry names and heard the voice echo in his head. Wolfe just got a confused look on his face as he had no clue what to make of any of it. He just gave a quick shake of his head as he pushed the thoughts back into the back of his brain to ponder on at a later time when he could maybe make some more sense of it all.
As Wolfe was about to start moving again he saw as the monster shot out a small army of 4 legged seed monsters. Wolfe saw as the monster then turned and slowly made it's way back into the ocean from whence it came. It seems all of them together had been enough to cause it to retreat, but it had left all of them a present in the form of a bunch of 4 legged monsters to deal with. Wolfe just gave a half laugh as he watched the scene unfold. He then twisted his blade and swung it around as he did so. He swung the blade so he was now holding at an angel across his body. He took form as he watched some of the others get a little bit quicker start then him on attacking the monsters.
Wolfe scanned the area really quickly and picked out one of the 4 legged monsters that was not that far from him and decided that would be his target as he would just take one of them out to help finish the clean up. Wolfe swung his blade out to his right as he took off at full speed towards his chosen target. Just before he was about to get to it he jumped into the air and to the side. As he started to pass the front leg of the monster in mid air, Wolfe out stretched his hand and caught the leg of the monster and used it to swing his body and momentum into a sudden turn. As he did this he took a swing with his blade catching the monster in the side and giving it a good cut. As his sword connected he let go of the monster's leg and continued through the air.
Wolfe flew directly under the belly of the monster and just as he was about to hit one of the monster's legs on the other side he outstretched his arm and caught the edge of the side of the monster and used it throw him momentum upwards. As he caught the edge of the side of the monster he took another quick swing and caught the monster right in one of it's joints. The cut was pretty good and made that leg unusable. As his weight was shifted and he swung his body up and towards the air above the monster's body Wolfe let go to the monster and sent himself flying up into the air right above the monster.
In mid air Wolfe swung his blade and twisted it so the blade was aiming straight down at the monster below him and he pulled his hands up so just as he would come down on the top of the monster he would thrust down stabbing right into the top of the monster. Wolfe reached the peak of his air and began to fall down towards the top of the monster. A few moments later he landed right on top he top of the 4 legged monster. Just as his feet touched the top of the monster he plunged his sword straight down stabbing right into the top of the monster.
The monster made a sudden jerk as the blade stabbing right into it and then started to stumble a little. Wolfe just smirked as he tightened his grip of the hilt of Cerberus and then suddenly just twisted the whole blade ripping a huge chunk of the monster up, and causing even more damage to it. The monster made another sudden jerk before it stopped for a second and then its body went limp and it's legs gave out and went down. The side where Wolfe had messed up one of its legs went down first followed by the other side as it went totally down. Te monster landed in a lop sided position onto he ground.
Wolfe pulled up on his blade and pulled his sword out of the top of the creature and took a quick swing at the air to his right, sending all the monster's blood to fling off his blade. Wolfe turned and took a look round to see how the others were fending with the rest of the other monster seed creatures.
Kefka sighed. Nothing like a bit of havoc and destruction to start off the day right...
The Court Mage couldn't quite recollect exactly why he was even in the Lindblum Continent in the first place. Foggy memories of the last night point to the suggestion that he was en route to Burmecia for... something. A scroll he found in Doma led the way to something powerful that he could no doubt use for his schemes of world obliteration, and he was anxious to get there and to leave just as quickly. His main quest would broker no time wasted on any other foolish pursuits. It was just far too important. But then, of course, his armored co-conspirator, Exdeath, sensed something great in power off to the distance and went directly to investigate, Kefka reluctantly following behind. It was then that the clown saw it. A gigantic monster, a glowing core in the center of its chest, rising from the sea and stalking towards a nearby city, obviously with the full intent of destroying it utterly and completely.
Kefka had no intention of wasting his time and his Mana fighting off the beast, and so he let Exdeath go off to have his fun with it. Normally, the Court Mage would only have been too happy to engage in some mindless violence and carnage, the best kind of violence and carnage there was, but he was anxious to get underway, and even the appealing thought of fighting and blowing up a huge sea monster simply didn't hold in his mind. This lasted the equivalent of about five minutes, however, as he saw all the fun that other people were having beating the living daylights out of the huge creature. Suddenly, airships were colliding with its face, great birds were being summoned out of thin air to do battle with it, local gangs were being riled up to join in the fight, and even the undead, courtesy of his friend Exdeath, were joining the fray. If there was one thing Kefka hated more than peace and unoriginality, it was being left on the sidelines while everyone else hogged all the action and bloodshed. It wasn't sporting! Not in the slightest!
Fortunately, it would seem that he wouldn't be waiting for too much longer. After a depressingly short time of intense close combat with the huge creature, the glowing core in its center ceased its light-bright display and the whole abomination started to slink back into the ocean depths from which it arose in the first place. Normally, such a thing would have the opposite effect on Kefka than it would on other, more "happy-minded" and peace loving souls, but then, from out of nowhere, there arose a swarm of smaller creatures that began to attack the city and the defenders en masse, bathing it in a tide of writhing bodies and brilliant flashes of magical light. Suddenly, Kefka found his opening to join in on the festivities of chaos, and was only too happy to oblige such a gracious invitation, which was practically engraved specifically for him. So, hitching up his cloak and colorful scaves, he was about to join the fray, when his first victims crested the hill he was observing all this upon, and immediately moved in for an attack.
The mad mage simply smiled and beckoned the ravenous beasts to come straight for him, hiding a hand behind his back, which was charging with Mana-infused power. At the last instant, when the beasts were almost right upon him and there was nbo chance at all of them being able to dodge his assault at all, Kefka loosed a Thundara right into the snarling pack almost at point-blank range. He could smell the sizzling flesh of the atrocious fiends as they were blown back by the magical blast, and their howls of anguish and pain soon turned into little more than death rattles as they lay still, charred corpses on the ground. Giving a satisfied chuckle at his handiwork, Kefka brushed past them without comment and continued down to the main battlefield, a wide smile on his painted lips which showed his yellowed teeth in a grim display of hungry joy and anticipation.
At the foot of the great battle, Kefka had to marvel at how many combatants and enemies there were jostling for space and killing blows. It was practically standing room only. Well, if that was the case, then he would have to function as the entertainer for this audience. But what would be a perfect attention-grabber for all the other fools here? Immediately as he pondered what to do next, a bigger group than the one he encountered on the ridge saw the colorful mage and began to charge him all at once. Well, if they were only too happy to oblige in their deaths, Kefka would be happy to take the role of executioner for them. He was, after all, born for the part. And fortunately for him, he found a perfect way to do it. Casing inside his mind for that one cozy place he reserved for a special someone all those weeks ago, the Court Mage felt the powerful and sickening aura of death and drive, and willed it to come forth.
"Alright, you fleshy collection of box cars, time to prove your worth to me!"
As you wish, master...
From a dark portal which opened right in front of the insane mage, two rows of blue flames shot out, trapping the charging horde of monsters. Assuming no danger, they pressed forward regardless of their surrounding seemingly changing from a battlefield to a warped zone of space glistening with a blood-red sheen. They even failed to notice an oncoming train, it's front car a visage of demonic proportions and its surface seemingly made of muscle and sinew. They failed to see the danger, until it was far too late. Doomtrain pummeled them flat against the tracks, while they were still charging upon it. When the train dissapeared back into the recesses of Kefka's mind, the monsters were completely overcome with status ailments of every kind and conception. Blindness, silence, poison, toad, petrification... the whole nine yards. A quick Fira spell on the lot of them left them feeling a slow, painful death by incineration.
Kefka laughed wildly, and cast about, seeking new victims.
Ruien stood watching in silence as the creature first partially fell to the ground in defeat and then seemed to partially fall apart before beating a retreat. At first he had completely failed to notice the swarm of creatures falling from its body, it was then that the visions started up again. The rapidly flashing moments of brief battles against these things, then back to the insulting monstrosity and then visions of the colossal beast he had witnessed the uprising of at the unexpected end to the war, multiple voices echoed throughout his mind, speaking in too rapid a pace for Ruien to be able to keep up with and then, once more they came to an abrupt halt.
"I hope you're enjoying yourself, I know I would be." He looked up from the ground, one of the newly formed creatures charging its way toward him, a look crossed somewhere between primal instinct and malicious intent just seemed to be constantly etched into those eyes. Unimpressed with his new foe he simply stood still, waiting for the creature to draw as close as he could stomach and then thrust an open palm into its face. At this close a distance the burst of VII Flame to follow killed it instantly, sending the corpse rolling along the ground and into the side of a building.
"Hmph, I am tempted to keep just one alive. But I suppose that just wouldn't be my style." He muttered to himself as he took a step to the side, narrowly avoiding an attack from another of these pathetic things. He swiftly turned and followed up by flicking a segment of his weapon at it, the creature staggered as the small sphere broke through the flesh and came to a halt somewhere inside one of its internal organs. Seconds later it was being destroyed from the inside out as the VII Flame went to work, rapidly tearing the thing apart. A single finger snap and the spherical diamond he had sent out to attack returned to him to rejoin the rest of itself currently levitating in the air around Ruiens person.
"How anticlimactic." He sighed, but, he had made a prediction that he would end up feeling this way a short while before this little struggle had started, that however, was only if the pace continued to pick up. With the creature retreating as it had the pace had been broken and had left Ruien with these pathetic little byproducts of a desperate desire to escape. Yet, he had to admit that it had been kind of fun while it had lasted.
"Hmph, where did everything go? I can still remember the old rush I used to feel." He mused to himself as he stepped swiftly to the side and took out the legs of a charging creature, hopping back to keep himself level with it so that he could deliver a single, fatal stomp to the back of its head. The creature fell still, leaving Ruien a brief moment to stand in silence, there were a lot of them that much was true. But with the minimal threat they seemed to pose, their numbers meant nothing.
He walked forward calmly, not bothering to attack any of the creatures yet, simply watching and waiting. Well, and wondering why he could somehow feel as though he distantly knew someone here, the rapid yet silent whispers of a life already lived by a person identical to him started and ended in a brief five second time-frame. He merely shrugged it off, putting it down to some effects of his current object of interest, perhaps once he reached the end of this road he would find out everything he wanted to know, but right now, he was largely ignorant to most of the things the Gateway had to offer.
"Psh, why bother?" He asked himself out loud as he jumped over two charging creatures, striking them both with two pillars of Black Fire straight from the ground as he back flipped in the air. The otherworldly screeching that followed and stopped only some seconds later told Ruien his attack had hit home and the two charging creatures were now dead.
Landing softly on the ground Ruien looked around, while the numbers had started out great they were slowly beginning to dwindle, more than likely due to the summoned forces answering the calls of their masters. Ruien smirked to himself once more, wanting some how to get into contact with Heru-Soeki, it would make this little scrap a great deal more interesting. However, until he went back to the ruins of Zanarkand he would have no way of knowing how to contact Heru-Soeki, nor would he have any way of knowing whether or not his friend was still alive, so for the time being, he would just have to settle for some small-game killing.
"Hmph, perhaps once this is over I will make that trip back to Zanarkand." Just perhaps, dropping to the ground Ruien watched as another creature missed its mark and landed on the ground behind him. Only to be engulfed by the VII Flame seconds later and die soon after. He dusted himself off after getting back to his feet, this had been a better than average day that much he would admit, but so far it had not been overly exciting.
"They seem to lack any ability to learn from the mistakes of others." He observed to himself calmly, watching as yet another beast charged him, a mere finger snap later it was reeling back and crashing into a group of its own. They were fast to react, however, Ruien had already anticipated this reaction and had created a dome of Black Fire around the small group, pacing around it for a moment before.
"Escape this." He muttered darkly, watching as the dome "fell" on top of them, he heard their screeches of anguish, that inhuman call, but they would not accomplish anything other than confirm to everyone else that they were indeed dying, there was no way their own could save them, and no way Ruien was going to let them escape with their lives.
He stood in silence, watching as the VII Flame made it look as though their bodies were dissolving, a small smirk twisted its way across his lips as he watched, it was unlikely that these things were going to pose any kind of thread to Ruien, now or ever, the sense of anti-climax was only increasing with each seconds that passed, and to that Ruien had only a single thing he could mutter to himself.
She’d kept a hold on the bike as he’d said it was going to get bumpy, Her tails still held curled tightly together as she leaned forwards when he’d done the wheelie, leaning back as the wheels balanced with the ground once more only to eventually watch as the ground fell out from below them before they seemed to nose dive in the air. Still she made barely a sound moving with how the bike seemed to pull. Leaning either side to side, or back until the wheels hit the ground yet again. Them sliding sideways after a few moments before reaching an edge of a small town. Her eyes following his movements as he’d leap up to the roof of the building they’d stopped beside, herself looking at his bike before climbing off and dusting herself off. Hearing noise’s in the distance she’d Move around the buildings. She’d rolled the scene of the airship through her mind, wondering what it was that it had rammed it’s self into, figuring Wolfe was off and away to go help any injured from it before she’d paused seeing the beasty.
Moving she’d leap, her body moving through the air as she’d land on the roof Wolfe had before, walking to it’s peak as she uncurled her tails. She’d move down the other side to leap across to another building then another, getting slowly closer each time she’d move so. Her eyes followed his movements through the air and onto the monster, seeing the Blade of his drawn and his begging assault upon the beasty. As her eyes followed him, they fell on others.. all attacked the same beast, Her ears twitched some as she simply watched them all. She should have been worried, or scared but she wasn’t still used to having her full range of abilities, such a thought that they’d been sealed still not fully clicking in her mind. Moving once more she’d leap to another building before Pausing as a form seemed to appear before herself, the Talk black furred form seeming solid and present despite he wasn’t there and she couldn’t feel him, the phantom like thing looked off towards the monster then back to her before grinning, Ice blue eyes studying her a second before she’d growl at him.
Kiyo! Why are you pestering me, You sent me here, Sealed off all of my abilities… For what! So I can wander this strange world were giant Fiends attack at random?
:: Fiends.. do tell, that things isn’t so tough.. well.. it wouldn’t normally have been at all now would it.. but It’s just another step in your training, sometimes you need a refresher course you know.. ::
She growled and swiped at him, Her hand going through his form as it vanished with a light chuckle. Shaking her head she let out a heavy sigh before looking back to the on goings as the Beast fell, to the ground, moments later to get up once more. She watched as many seed’s came off it’s form to take forms of there own, watching as everyone began attacking each of the new little beasties. She’d leap from the roof, falling towards the ground she’d land, tails splayed out behind her before standing up and taking off to get into the fray. She reached behind herself, under her shirt and armor pulling out a short blade’d crystalline katana, holding it in her hands before her she’d perk her ears forwards mumbling a bit under her breath * Haste * an aura glowing about her form before seeming to fade, her speed increasing as she’d take off far faster across the ground, mumbling the word once more as she’d pass Wolfe, casting it once more on him.
Kicking from the ground at such a speed she’d flip in the air, rebalancing herself with her tails as she landed upon one of the beasts, slicing down along it’s back as she was passing over it, she’d feel her blade catch and slide, slicing along it’s flesh. Seeing it sway and turn on her though she’d turn her blade sliding it back away into it’s hidden sheath before clenching her fists, water from the air forming around them as she’d dash forwards, brining hand back she’d punch forwards to it’s open maw, the water around her fist hitting first, hard as a slap of solid steel for a split second before it softened, her still hard fist pushing deeper and connecting at the back of the beasts throat after the water had crushed it’s jaws back onto it’s own skull and throat. The hit ensuring a kill as she’d pull back a second before leaping once more into the air, before her body would fall towards the limb twitching body. Her feet both with that layer of water surrounding them would contact with it’s chest as it would crush. Stepping from the dead beasty she’d turn, looking to see where Wolfe had gone, He’d been off still slicing away last she knew before she’d shot past him, Taking a deep breath and mumbling once more though three more times the word * haste * left her lips, all cast on herself. She moved once more, shooting off towards Wolfe as another seed beasty was in the air coming at him. Leaping yet again to the air, feet out she’d hit it in the side as if a ton of bricks was knocking it from the air.
It’s form shot off to the ground, hitting and sliding in a small dust cloud with at least a whole side of it’s chest cavity crushed. She landed, Brushing herself off and looking in it’s direction, seeing it up and moving though definetly injured by it’s sway and the loud wheezing breath’s it was letting escape it’s maw. Looking a few yards back to where Wolfe is she’d turn and look once more towards the beast.
I felt like I needed to play as well… you all seemed to enjoy taking down the beast from before… and you left me all alone back by that building as if I was a Burden… you owe me now…
Blue chuckles softly as the last few Demon Seed's stood around her, barely enough to stand a chance as she rushes towards one, planting her hand onto its head and flipping over it before she grabs its hind legs and picks it up, right before she smashes it into the other creatures around her like it was a game of whack a mole and she did it with enough force to kill the last few creatures before she releases the one in her hands, grabs its maw and then snaps its neck brutally before she smiles and looks around to see that that was indeed the last
