He was in a little bit of a hurry - not just because he felt like he was going to starve to death, but because he knew that if he got incredibly distracted, he'd forget this message. It was strange for a SeeD member to be required to play messenger. The contract was very simple, but very serious. He was to deliver a message to a General Carroway in Deling City, and honestly, he was supposed to be there very, very soon. Too soon, which meant he wasn't going to be able to stop and eat like he really wanted to.
His body was almost a blur - he was quite literally bounding over the open area. He had fought a monster here and there, which had ultimately slowed him down just enough to mean he might not hit his time frame. Since the most recent one, he'd been using his nose specifically to keep himself out of those combat situations. Considering that, and he was bouncing through treetops, it meant he was almost impervious to creatures.
He yawned, a little bit, and reminded himself not to keep his mouth open - he'd swallow a bug or a leaf and then end up crying over the stupidity of the whole situation. Regardless - he kept up his pace, tail used to hold his weapon as he bounded through the trees. It was careful and methodical and he moved like he knew exactly what he was doing. The little Genome, strangely energetic, finally came to a halt on the other side of the forested area.
He was still off of Deling by a little ways, but he was close enough to see it, now. It meant he'd cut enough time - more time than he thought - off his trip that he might actually be able to eat! He grinned at that thought, patting at his utility belt. He could totally grab a bite to eat and take a little breather as he tried to remember where they said Carroway's Manor was. Flicking his wrist absently, he tugged at the blood red ribbon that was wrapped around his tail. Honestly, he couldn't help himself any more.
The bows were becoming more and more a part of his every day. He had even managed to tie one - though it had been nowhere near as pretty as the ones tied by others. Still, he didn't mind so much - he had his own ribbons that he would tie on to match his vests. Today, much like his ribbon, he wore a red vest over a brown tunic, his black slacks almost muting the brightness of his clothing choices. It made him look a little clowny, but all in all, he didn't really care.
He hummed gently, as he found what he was looking for. Tugging out the little makeshift sack, he sat down under the boughs of this last tree, untying the very top of it. Within was a small lunchbox with little monkeys drawn on it - care of Marie, again. She was always taking care of him, whether he complained or not. More and more, people said she had a crush on him - but he was starting to realize that crush meant 'love'. He wasn't sure how to approach the situation... he only saw her as a big sister.
Nibbling on his lower lip, he tugged open the container top, and smiled. The smell of cooked ham was absolutely the best thing ever. Licking his lips, he smacked them excitedly. He didn't care all the horrible creatures that might also be attracted to the scent - his stomach was far too rumbly to take the 'dangers' in to consideration.
Leaning his head back, he relaxed as he dug in, tail wagging gently.
"I wonder what Galbadia Garden looks like." He mumbled humming to himself. Yeah, this was a nice little picnic. It was just sad that he wasn't paying attention to the clouds that were starting to roll in overhead, night beginning to fall over the Continent.
The demon had spotted a familar shadow running through the forest, his eyes sharpen on the figure as he glides over the forest watching the target like a hawk hunting a hare. The demon could smell the genome and old memories surfaced as he remembered the Hybrid who even now filled the demon with disgust, yet he couldn't bring himself to strike without knowing for sure it was the hybrid or not, even if the demon was sure he had killed the hybrid. After a little while the demon catches the genome's voice not recognising it as the Hybrids he relaxes a little as he swoops down circling around him for a second before landing infront of the genome. Belzera's eyes quickly examining the genome carefully.
"Galbadia Garden isn't much to look at, its more militant than either Trabia or Balamb gardens. It's also the largest garden on Gaia anyway, but tell me what are you doing so close to Galbadia's Capital?"
The demon asks him, that feeling of danger coming from the demon who looked quite relaxed as he asked the question, if the genome had paid attention to recent events he would know that this demon was the knight of the Sorceress and had fought and killed one of Shin-Ra's elite while facing down an ambush.
He yelped, jumping just a little as the man practically dropped from the sky. The person had been above him, and as such, he'd never scented him - so he had not even known he was being followed. Nevertheless, as he jumped, his hand shot out for his weapon, which was currently propped next to him. Knuckles white, eyes narrowed - and then, the guy started talking to him.
He let out an easy sigh, then - he was uneasy, but anyone who was willing to talk wasn't going to just start attacking him.
Asher smiled, brightly, to the stranger, as was his usual situation. He was an important figure in Galbadia... but for the life of him, he couldn't quite remember why. But his hair was pretty - the same color as Beis'. That was an awesome little factor, that made him all the more willing to speak to him, even if he could feel a little tingle of fear. It was unusual - he didn't usually feel that emotion too clearly - it just wasn't something he paid any attention to.
Still, sitting here, in a more or less relaxed manner, while he was questioned by Mr. Important Guy, he couldn't help but feel examined, or perhaps under scrutiny. Moreso than when he took a test at the Garden. More like when the yellow-capped Garden Guardians were watching him too closely, as they tended to do. Like they were waiting for him to fail, or do something bad, so that they might punish him.
Leaning against the tree, he knew better than to be completely honest. But, knowing as well that he wasn't a good liar, he'd of course start with the truth - what part of it he could reveal safely.
"Tha's easy. Right now, I'm havin' a pipnic! But I've got a message that I've gotta deliver soon, to someone in the city. Theeeen, I think I wanna go visit Galbadia Garden - I've never been there before, and I think it might be neat to see." Of course, an astute listener would be able to glean from his Garden statements that he had been to another one - though whether it was Trabia or Balamb would be difficult to discern, as he had made no real note one way or the other.
His tail waved absently, as he unwrapped a sandwich, to which he proceeded to munch on. Chewing slowly, he swallowed, before remembering himself.
"Mrp! I'm sorry, I didn't mean to be rude! Would you like something to eat? I've got a couple extra sammiches - my friend Marie made'm for me so that I wouldn't have to stop and buy some extra supplies. They're not even old, I just got'em this mornin'. They're pretty good - ham and turkey and bacon and cheese and lettuce and onions and... uhm..." He tugged open the top of the sandwich, so he could investigate, sniffing at it.
"That white stuff that makes it juicy but I can't remember the name of." He giggled at that, motioning for the other man to have a seat if he wanted. Asher could certainly be rude often, but that was usually because he wasn't paying attention, or said something without thinking. Under normal circumstances, when he was at least moderately attentive to the world, he usually wasn't quite so bad.
Taking another hearty chomp out of the sandwich, he leaned his head back a bit, against the tree bark. He'd let go of his weapon, though it was closer to him than it had originally been - just in case. Asher was goofy, but he wasn't terribly foolish, when it came to certain things.
"So.. I recognize ya from TV but I'm not sure where from. I wanna say from that cookin' show but I don't think that'd be right - your hair is blue, and that guy's is brown. My brother's hair is blue - he's really cool. And a genome, like me!" He added, with an extra bit of emphasis on the whole 'Genome' bit - after all, he was proud of his heritage, even if Beis did call him a 'weird genome'.
Wiggling a little bit in place, underneath the man's gaze, he half wondered whether or not he'd sit and take a sandwich, and why, exactly, he was so creepy.

The demon smirked as the boy babbled innanely, he figured that this was a common to ensouled genomes, was it a desire to express themselves? He didn't quite know, however out of all of the genomes he had met this one seems to not be permanently up his own ass. The demon did pay attention to his babbling, picking up on the fact he had come from a garden, so a SeeD to which the demon hid his distaste, probably from Balamb like all of the other SeeD's he'd met in his life. Belzera does relax after the boy shuts up and he leans against a tree and holds up his palm summoning a small flare spell and snapping off a branch, stabbing it into the ground before igniting the tip with the flare spell lighting up the area a bit more for them.
"Well, first things first, my hair is purple but I guess it could be mistaken for a very dark blue but its not"
The demon then chuckles looking up at the sky, it might be nice to talk to someone other than Blue that wasn't currently trying to kill him or working for Blue.
"As to who I am? I'm Belzera Adonis Grimoire, you probably recognise me from the recent events with Shin-Ra. luckily no SeeD's where deployed to those battles so I didn't need to piss of Cid"
The demon smiles softly as he tries something with the boy.
"I guess that means your a very important SeeD to be entrusted with a secret document by old Cid, he isn't a man who gives secret assignments to anyone who can't keep a secret."

(OOC: yeah I'm not one for long posts outside of battles. I like keeping conversations more flowing which works better in short posts)
He didn't seem at all worried by the sudden existence of a tree branch being jammed in to the earth - nor by the small spell. He wasn't a fan of magic - most of it was more than he could grasp in the first place. Time magic, on the other hand, was his specialty... if you could consider one spell a specialty. Nevertheless, it was with interest that he watched him use that magic to light the branch, thus increasing their visual range.
He peered at his more-illuminated hair as closely as he dared, though... it was purply, he still thought it looked more blue. But! He wasn't going to argue with someone about their own self-image, that'd just be silly. If he thought it was purple, then it was purple. That was just the way of things.
He didn't know much about the ShinRa conflict, only that ShinRa was trying to push in to Galbadia, and that Galbadia, was not having any of those shenanigans. It meant there was war - though obviously it had not escalated so far as to push in to a city. He scratched the back of his head uncertainly, so he just shrugged. "No one asked for our help, I guess! We always show up when someone needs us. I would'a helped ya if you wanted." He nodded, sharply, nibbling again at his half-eaten sandwich.
Asher rummaged around, trying to find something to drink in the little package. Near the bottom, there was a couple of boxes of juice, which was absolutely wonderful. He desperately enjoyed juice, which was why he so eagerly assaulted it, when he managed to finally get the straw in to it. Sipping gingerly to wash down the sandwich, he put it back down next to him.
Absently, he tugged his feet closer to himself, up under him.
He proudly puffed out his chest a bit, though, at the complement.
"I'm one of the new SeeDs! But already I've been on like a milliondy missions. Headmaster Cid's always sendin' me out on stuff - mostly escorts and message runs, but sometimes I've gotta go help little groups of people. That's always fun - they're usually all serious business, but I manage to cheer'em up. I don't like it when it gets too serious, y'know? It makes my tail itch."
He was a little bit excited, though, to be recognized as a 'prominent' SeeD, having just unwittingly revealed his own affiliation to Balamb.
"Oh! I almost forgot! My name's Asher! Don't worry, though, I can keep a secret all right!" He pantomimed zipping his lips, as was the appropriate thing to do in such a 'serious' situation. "It's nice out here, y'know? Balamb's really quiet, there's no big cities nearby. But from here, you can even see all the lights and stuff in the City. I'm gonna bounce around there for a bit to see what it's like - I've never been in a big city before. Well, not that I can remember." Scratching the back of his head, he looked at the city, which was almost glowing from this distance, illuminating the darkened sky.
Turning his attention back to Belzera, he smiled, brightly. "Y'know you scared me when you first showed up - but you're really nice! I'm glad - I didn't want to fight anyone." He nodded, at that, before downing the rest of his sandwich.

The demon smiles softly and nods to the boy as he talks about him being a new SeeD and confirming his theory about the boy coming from Balamb, maybe the boy could deliver a message to Cid for him in the future.
"Well Asher, I thought you came from Balamb, Trabia students are generally more relaxed plus Cid only gives orders in well Balamb. Anyway I'm not really that nice of a person, I do what I have to, when I have to"
The demon says looking darkly at the flickering flame of the branch as he continues to talk softly.
"Its not strange for a genome not to have been places, but Midgar has more lights even if it is dirtier although Terra was a nice place."
The demon smiles softly remembering his first glances of Terra what seemed to him so so long ago, maybe 6 years ago in his early days on the old gaia, sighing he comes out of his memories.
"But yeah, I'm not a nice person, pleasent maybe it depends on the situation I meet someone in and its not like your delivering a letter to someone who is planning to assasinate my charge."
The demon lightly says, recalling the old Gaia when Edea had arrived on the scence, there had been an assasination attempt on her life as soon as she took power. He chuckles then remembering all of the sorceresses that poured out of the woodwork shortly after her.
"Sorry, I get lost in memories sometimes, it happens after the first few decades of life and I've had more than a dozen of those"
The demon says smiling softly as he tilts his head back upto the sky watching the stars appear slowly in the air.
He tilted his head uncertainly. How did one say they weren't nice, when clearly, they were? The ability to do what needed to be done wasn't a bad thing, really... was it? He scratched the back of his head, uncertainly, he leaned his head a little bit to the side, watching him as he remained lost in his own consciousness.
He'd made mention about assassination, but Asher, being nothing more than the messenger, had no clues as to what the message meant, nor what the end outcome would be. It wasn't his place to question the Garden's orders... no, it was his place merely to carry then out, as a good son should. Still, it was interesting.
"I dunno about getting caught up in memories." He replied, his voice losing a touch of that cheer that normally suffused it so fully and completely. "I only have a couple'a years, from when I first woke up in Spira. Everything before that is like a bunch of weird little bits and pieces all shaken up and dumped out on the ground. It's hard to look at it all and make any sense. So I don't!" He added, allowing his smile to once again exist on his face, that cheerfulness returning. He wasn't one to remain unhappy or unsatisfied with the way of things. No, instead, he always enjoyed keeping that happiness wrapped around him.
It was his comfort zone.
"'sides, I think you're nice. Doin' whatcha have to do doesn't mean you're not still nice, just means you have other 'sponsibilities, right? You're prolly a good person, otherwise... well, no one'd like you! I like you well 'nough!" He informed him, giving him a very knowing nod, as though it was the most sensible and obvious thing one could say. He spoke with such candor that it was always quite so strange when people didn't respond with the same.
He took to unwrapping another sandwich, though he didn't completely undo it. Instead, he just undid half of it, so that his hands never touched the delicious looking bread. His hand slid out, and once more he offered his newfound friend one, that smile never leaving his face.
"We all have to do what we all have to do. You're still a good person, even if someone else might think you're not." He said, emphasizing it with another quick, gentle nod. Belzera was strange... it was like he was ancient, and full of self loathing that Asher couldn't really comprehend. Asher was so different - he was only a couple of years old in his mind, and though his body was old - far older than he could even understand, it was his perception of time that made him so much different than the other.
He wondered, absently, if one day he might turn in to someone like this. He turned his thoughts from that, though, and let himself ponder other things.
[/blockquote][/blockquote] ( Word Count: 518 Thread Word Count: 2564 )
The demon blinks at Asher several times before he starts to chuckle, the demon couldn't help but laugh at what he thought was a load of crap. The demon had done so many things in his long life and also the fact that the demon didn't believe in good or evil only understanding that it was all a persons point of view and a choice. Choices where something the demon had done alot of in his life, he'd chosen to assasinate his father to survive, he'd chosen to kill his mother in a one on one fight, he'd wiped out worlds just to prove himself useful to his grandfather just so he could try to rest a little easier. He'd chosen to side with Morpheus to save one person whether it damned the world or not, He knew that life was only choices rather than good or evil.
"Haha, now that is funny, me a good person. I'm 216 years old and I killed my own father when I was 8, I killed my mother several years later, I fought off assasins for the first two hundred years of life while working to wipe out worlds full of people like this one. I slaughtered thousands of people and then got tossed out onto a world to die, powerless to defend myself and I eventually helped to destroy cities of innocents just to help one person. I doubt any of that makes me a good person no matter how you look at it"
The demon smirks again trying not to laugh again as he recalls all those events, he could still remember the smell of his fathers blood on his hands as he twisted the dagger into his back. The demon knew Asher would change his tone after the demons revelation, the demon couldn't think of anyone who.... The demon sighs remembering them, smirking again.
He could hear no pain, no regret, and no anguish from the man's voice. He had unusually good hearing when it came to such things, and when it came down to it, he had learned so long ago that sometimes, he was beyond understanding. He did not know mothers or fathers - he'd never even met one before. The only reason he even understood what one was was that Marie had told him about her mother showing her how to cook. That was his only frame of reference for the ideas that he was putting forward.
Words like murder, fighting, and the like, they all made sense to him. He was a fighter, he was a mercenary for Balamb. He knew that he was supposed to fight people if he was asked to, and he knew better than to assume that others wouldn't live such a life, even if it wasn't for what felt like a family.
But Belzera had said he'd murdered thousands of people for just one. It made Asher watch him, hand still outstretched with his sandwich, never so much as faltering in his grasp.
He wasn't sure why Belzera wanted him to hate him so badly. It was like he desired it, more than anything else at this particular instant. For Aher, it was difficult - he was not a formulative thinker, and bringing about ideas and understanding was far more difficult than Belzera could possibly understand.
He let his eyes wander, back to the illuminated city.
"You helped one person." He said, finally letting himself gaze back at the violet-haired demon. "You did what you felt was right." He added, that smile turning his lips upward, as he spoke calmly and easily to the other man. Perhaps it was foolishness, and perhaps it was strangeness. "It's good to stand up for yourself and for others. Isn't it?" He asked, as if he wasn't trying to convince himself any more.
No, it was not the kind of question that was meant to affirm. Instead, it was the kind of question that was meant to force a reflection, to allow another person to understand that life was never so cut and dry. And also, that he understood that fact. His words were gentle, and kind, and he was the kind of person to want Belzera to understand just how he felt about this particular circumstance. Biting his lip, gently.
"I still think you're a good person. We all have to do what we have to do, sometimes."
[/blockquote][/blockquote] ( Word count: 441 Thread Word Count: 3005 )
The demon blinks again at Asher, the words that came out of his mouth wasn't what he had expected and this once again made the demon smile softly before he started to chuckle as he realised that he had encountered someone who wouldn't consider him a monster for his past, just like those three.
"Hahaha, who would have thought after all these years a Genome would be one of the few gaian's that would not think me a monster"
The demon slides down the tree until he is sat, knees bent his face looking into the flame once again.
"You right, I chose a path I thought was the best. Asher your a strange genome compared to those I've met before you seem less emotionally biased than they where, one swore to kill me after I made a choice to save one person over the world"
The demon luaghs, there was a bit of hatred in that laugh as he thought of Sly Tribal, a genome he hated greatly, who had been a constant pain in his side even when they fought for the same side.
"He made the world seem worthless, he spoke of justice and honor yet he tried to kill someone who had been an innocent puppet, he held himself in high regard... tch listen to me"
The demon luaghs loudly, letting one leg slide flat as his arms cross over the other knee, his eyes now looking at Asher a happy smirk on his face. The demon kinda liked this Genome, for the first time he had found one that wasn't an asshole or stuck up when dealing with him, he understood he wasn't a pleasent person at the best of times but he was a demon after all.
"I sound like an old man, I'm still only a child at least for a demon. Haha let me tell you something important Asher, SeeD is not just a mercenary group there is another reason behind it's foundation and that might put us at opposite sides later on"
The demon closes his eyes for a second and breathes in gently before he chuckles softly as he speaks the next couple of words.
Asher was distinctly glad to see his new friend smile, even if it was a little strange looking. He smiled right back, wide, showing teeth and everything. After all, he himself was a cheerful person, and he expected everyone else to be at least as cheerful, too! He wrapped the sandwich back up, since it was finally obvious that Belzera wasn't hungry, and pushed it right back in to his little container, popping the lid back on it, and wrapping the satchel in the monkey-cloth.
Grabbing his juice box back up, he sipped at it gingerly, for once managing to remain a quiet little monkey boy - it wasn't a usual thing for him, but Belzera had managed to get him thinking, a little deeper than he normally did. Not that he minded - deep thoughts weren't regular, but they also weren't unwelcome. It meant for a little while at least, he could pretend to be a little bit more grown up than he actually was. He continued to sip until there were annoying little airbubbles in the straw, and he almost immediately stopped - that was one of the few sounds that aggravated him, so he almost never made it.
"I don't think someone should be made a monster just 'cause they were doin' the right thing for them or their family. I mean, we all have to make the tough decisions sometimes." At this point, he tugged at his tail a little bit, letting it lay motionlessly in his lap as he began to try and wrap the little ribbon in to a bow.
"'Sides, even my own brother says I'm a weirdo Genome. I think he's the weird one though, always actin' like he doesn't feel anything. Weird, I'm tellin' ya." He giggled a bit at that, as he continued to work the ribbon. It was just unfortunate that partway through, he managed to somehow tie a finger in to the ribbon, which only made him let out an exasperated sigh. For all the things he was amazing at - combat, dancing, climbing, jumping... the little things were always the hardest. He sucked, plain sucked, at tying a bow.
He stuck his tongue out the side of his mouth, in concentration, before he remembered he was having a conversation.
"You look much more grown up than a child. But then again, I dunno much about people and how they grow up. I've looked like this for years." He giggled at that, though his eyes narrowed a bit, turning back to face his new friend. SeeD was established for something other than being a group that helped people?
He didn't understand. That much he vocalized.
"I dun get it. I thought SeeD was just a place that was meant to help whoever could buy us... that's why they train us like they do. If there's another reason, how come they wouldn't tell us?" He asked, curiosity certainly getting the better of him. But it was amusing - he was listening - he knew a lot of his fellow SeeDs wouldn't have stood for someone saying something that might be interpreted as negative about the Garden, only 'cause he'd gotten smacked in the back of the head for saying something about how they were stupid for not having enough food. That had set one of his own graduating classmates off.
He didn't understand why.
Nevertheless, he was smiling a bit. He didn't see the veiled threat that was in the demon's voice. "I know whatcha mean, but I don't even wanna kill someone I don't like. I don't wanna kill someone if I can help it."
Then, it dawned on him a little bit, and he smiled, chuckling a little bit. "I like you too, Belz...era. Belzera!" Who wouldn't know, but it was quite an honor for Asher to remember someone's name, AND pronounce it right. Especially if it was more than once syllable. He pouted, however, looking down at the knotted ribbon on his tail.
Sighing, he tugged at it, trying to untie it once more so he could resume putting it in to a bow.
[/blockquote][/blockquote] ( Word Count: 730 Thread Word Count: 3735 )
The demon smiles softly once again as he closes his eyes enjoying the peaceful moment he had for once, a moment without troubles or conflict just for one moment. His mind recalling the events of the GF Wars, that period of time where Asper rose to power by murdering someone important to him, Asper the reason for him choosing one person over the world eventually, a puppet who cut her strings and offered her fate to the demons hands.
"Its not a sinister secret really, but it is a fairly large secret that will have a large effect on how SeeD is percieved by the world at large I doubt you need to worry about it however I felt like imparting some knowldge to you since I doubt your out for more power."
The demon waves his hand mindlessly in the air, his fingers curling into his palm for a moment as he breathes in again, smiling as three faces pop into his mind. Lillian, Jasmine and Joan. The demon knew they where on gaia right now, maybe they where horrified with him, although he guessed Jasmine would be more understanding of his actions would Lilly? would Joan? He couldn't be sure all he knew is that he was not going to fail them this time.
"Hmm you ever met a trio of girls at Balamb? one of them would be a medium sized young girl with long blond hair and purple eyes who is very reserved but still confident, the other two are brown haired and would be a little taller than the first girl both are rather cocky but highly skilled, They would generally be together"
The demon pondered, he remembered in the last Gaia that Joan and Jasmine had headed to Balamb to join SeeD so that they could travel the world and look for Lillian, this time would they go becuase Jasmine knew thats where he would expect them to go now that Lillian was with them?
He was glad to see Belzera really relax at this point, and he himself was very tempted to do the same. He had maybe another hour before he had to report to General Carroway, which was alright as far as he was concerned. Stuffy militant types were even more creepy than Belzera, who was steadily becoming less creepy as seconds passed them by.
But then, Belzera asked him the forbidden question.
If he knew someone. The cogs and gears in his mind slowly started to fumble and twist in his brain, as he tried to come up with faces to put with the names he had been given. The little descriptions helped, but the sad truth of it was that names were hard for him to keep up with, especially in reference to anyone. Squinching his eyes closed he fought with himself. The descriptions sounded familiar - Marie went on about three girls a few times. Talked about them with such reverence.
The lightbulb went off in his brain. "Yeah! They're on the festival committee! They help set up and organize events and stuff at the Garden! They're 'popular', too - everyone likes'em for the most part." He knew there was also a bit of jealousy when it came to popularity - every so often he heard people saying mean things about them, but he heard rumors about him, too. Not that there was necessarily jealousy for him - but certainly a bit of animosity.
But everyone had that, he was sure. That was why it was so easy for Belzera to get so defensive initially he was certain. He twisted at the ribbon, having forgotten it in his attempts to remember something else. He twisted, and fumbled, and finally, after a harrowing amount of work, he held his tail up for Belzera to observe.
He smiled, wide. It was a bit wrinkled and slightly dishevelled, but it was at least bow-shaped. "What do you think?"
[/blockquote][/blockquote] ( Word Count: 334 Thread Word Count: 4072 )
( XD It's perfectly fine. He doesn't HAVE to be right. Especially if it's not their personality. He just THINKS he knows who you're talking about. That's part of the fun. Especially if he approaches who he thinks they are and starts going on about it later. -Guffaw.- Though I can modify the part about recognizing the names. <3 Did so!)
He chuckles at the idea of Lillian being popular, she was a girl who know had been through too much in her short life and the idea that she would socialise normally is some what surprising for the demon to image still recalling the broken slave he had first met nearly 7 years ago in the demons personal perspective. The demon's mind wandered into the memories of her after he had failed to rescue her but he quickly managed to move past it knowing that while she had died in the blight of the old Gaia along with Joan both of them still lived on here.
"I guess those girls deserve some normal time, what after spending half their lives in hell"
The demon chuckles heartily as he wasn't speaking figuratively about that fact those three girls had grown up in hell and maybe they helped him and each other grow a little less unstable every day they had been together in his home. Chuckling he recalls the song, the song taught to him and Lilly by Joan and Jasmine, unknowningly he starts to hum and whistle to the song he heard in his head. The tune was soft and gentle, like those that had taught it to him. He could recall those times, when Joan and Jasmine would sing the song to Lilly to calm her down sometimes one of them would play the flute instead of singing, instances of his encounters with the broken Lilly on the old gaia he had used that song to get through to her when she tried to attack him and kill him. He stops humming and whistling as he starts to speak, he voice showing some happiness to it.
"You should hear Joan and Jasmine sing, they have angelic voices although they would never admit it but as I demon I reckon I have a good eye and ear for what's angelic"
The demon luaghs again, opening his eyes and smiling as he looks up at the sky yet after a couple of minutes the demon sighs as he knows he has to continue moving onwards to Timber, rather than staying here all night lounging in his pleasent and unpleasent memories. He promised himself he would do that later since he had a job to do as well, sighing once again he pulls himself onto his feet using a branch to help as he gets up he picks up the buring branch and holds it over his head like a torch before he looks over in the direction of Timber before returning his gaze over to Asher.
"Well I think we both have to get going sooner or later don't we?"
The demon says with a hint of annoyance in his voice. He shrugs and then walks closer to the genome patting him on the shoulder before moving behind him looking around once again to reconfirm his bearings. He bends his knees and spreads out his large leathery wings to their massive wing span, however he puases and looks to Asher again before remembering a message he wanted him to deliver to Headmaster Cid. The demon hoped taht Asher would be able to remember the message since he didn't want any evidence of such a message.
"If you see that Cid of yours tell him to keep SeeD away from Sorceress Blue, if he starts getting involved I won't be able to keep the its attention away from the Key anymore. Don't worry if you don't understand the message just try to deliver it to him as soon as possible and please make sure you only tell him the message, I don't need anyone else hearing that"
The demon then flaps his wings softly a few times, holding the torch above the wings so that the flame wouldn't be put out by the displaced air, the demon then leaps up into the air and starts to quickly rise up into the air, giving Asher a little salute before he blows out the torch and then starts to fly towards timber. A soft gentle song reaching Asher's ears for a moment
"Run through the cold of the night, As passion burns in your heart..."
And then the words faded as quickly as the demon vanished further into the nights sky towards Timber, slowly and gracefully flying through the sky singing softly to himself as he watched the land beneath him flow quickly under him.
He watched the demon reminisce, his head tilting ever so slightly as he did - but unfortunately, Belzera was right.
He did have a mission to complete, and it was just unfortunate that it meant this particular part of his journey was over - he rather liked Belzera, and his peculiar way of being. Belzera thought himself a monster, which was something Asher just didn't see in him. Perhaps that's what the whole point of differing views was?
Shifting uncertainly from his position as Belzera rose, he giggled a little bit as the other man patted his shoulder. Under normal circumstances, he was always in a ready-to-tackle mood, but today, it seemed like he was perfectly okay with just parting on his own. And not tackling the big demon.
As Belzera lifted off, he waved, cheering a little bit. He wished he could fly! And sure, bouncing around in the trees was close, it was just never the same. He envied his moogle friend Skeeter that ability, as well.
He knelt to start picking up his stuff, when Belzera called back out to him.
Blinking, peering up at the still-glowing figure, he listened, almost eagerly. Maybe, MAYBE, he wanted him to fly with him! He couldn't help but pout just a bit as Belzera made his request, but he nodded when he finished it.
"Yussir! Will do! Post-haste! And... uhm... fast!" He grinned wide, showing his teeth in the night hours. As Belzera took off, Asher found himself humming that same tune Belzera had been entertaining himself with. Nose twitching absently, the boy finished clearing away his stuff, grabbed his Spearshot, and started on his way for Deling proper.
He hoped this Carroway guy was worth it - and if maybe he'd spring for an airship ticket home!
