It had not been long since he was knighted, but Ryun had already started to feel the strains of his duties. He would not complain, he would work hard, and do everything he could do to do his duty to the best of his abilities, as the person bodyguard of Queen Garnet.
However, out of the blue, he was told he had some time off, and to go relax and enjoy himself. He was surprised by this, but understood. However, Ryun, well, being Ryun, was unsure how to enjoy himself. The fact was, there were only three things he really remembered, travelling, fighting, and his devotion to Garnet.
So, after a long hard thing, he decided to go into town and just walk around, and find out where he was protecting, since, due to the fact he had either been training, fighting, or doing his duty, he had never once actually walked among the people. He knew, since he had some time off, it was time to do so.
As he stood there in garments that were quite fancy, not of nobility, but it was clear he was, garment wise, a little more than a commoner. His hair, which was just reaching below his ears, with styled so it would not get in the way, and he wondered why he had never go it cut since he arrived on the shore of Galbadia a life time ago, or so it seemed.
Looking around he noticed a few people staring, he was use to that, but, with some of them, it was not because of his gargantuan size, it was because of the clothing, which did make him feel a little uncomfortable, but he grinned and bared it, well, maybe not so much grinned since he was in its usual monotonic state.

Marko had been walking through the streets of Alexandria trying desperately to find the companions that he was supposed to be travelling with to Balamb…though he had gotten lost. And the thing with Marko was that when he got lost, he ended up staying lost for a good while. After all, he was supposed to be in Balamb and was definitely not there. He whistled while he walked, keeping his bag close to him. Every now and then he grabbed a small bit of chocolate from inside of it to munch on happily; at least he was able to keep himself in good spirits.
The small moogle did not notice the rather large shadow that he walked into, at least until he bumped right into the side of whatever (or in this case whoever) it belonged to. He fell backward on his bum and blinked, jumping up rather energetically shaking a fist toward the person.
“Hey you should watch where-!” he cut himself off when he noticed that the person he bumped into was rather…tall. Marko really only came up to the man’s upper leg height-wise, so he ended up staring directly at his kneecap. He looked up to the man’s face and blinked.
As Ryun stood there thinking about where to go first he suddenly felt a little bump on the side of his leg. It was a such a small one it took him a few seconds to realise that it had happened. It was not so much the bump as someone shouting, and him realising it was at him that really made the Titan of Alexandria take notice.
When he had finally taken notice he looked around for a second before locating the source, a tiny creature, a Moogle, if memory served, which, for Ryun was a case that was far and few between. He looked down at the creature, surprised at how small it, or, well, he actually was. He was use to the average human reaching his the top of his stomach, or, his chest, but this creature barely came up to his knee cap.
Then the Moogle stated the rather obvious about Ryun being tall, he wasn’t annoyed by the fact, he just found it silly when people wasted words on obvious comments. Ryun did not speak much, and he only spoke when he had something of importance to say, or, when he had to answer a question. However, for this instance, he would speak, breaking one of his unwritten rules, “To some.”

“Sorry for bumping into you guy! and you’re like ten times as big as me!” he yelled up to the tall man, jumping backward to get a little distance and so he wouldn’t have to strain his neck so much to look at him. Not to mention Marko was slightly intimidated by this man, which was saying something. Few things were able to successfully instill fear in the little courier. Really tall, scary looking guys were one of those few. Marko moved his bag, guarding it at his side as he blinked looking up to him. He was wondering if he was heard.
“Hey!” he yelled up again. “Do you want some chocolate?! I’m Marko!” While he talked, he pulled a chocolate bar from his bag to offer up toward him. “Be careful with it though, you’re like a tree so the squirrels might think you are one and try to take it from you!”
Marko was being sincere, it seemed that squirrels were this courier’s greatest foe…or something like that.
Ryun stood there and listened to what the little Moogle had to say. True, there was a great size difference between them, but size was a relative thing in Ryun’s opinion, there were many things in the world that were just as big if not bigger than himself. He waited for a few seconds to finally speak, “Size is relative.” He pretty much said exactly what he was thinking, but, in Ryun’s typical style, made it as short and to the point and humanly possible.
Then Marko, as he introduced himself, offered him some chocolate. He looked at it was curiocity in his eyes. The truth was, he had never actually had chocolate, well, as far as he could remember anyways. He had to admit, it did not interesting enough. His frying back sized hand reached down and broke off a single segment, which looked even smaller between the fingers of Ryun. He looked at it for a second or two before putting it in his mouth.
Chewing on the tiny piece his eyes flashed something, surprise. He was surprised how good it tasted, and, even though gone in two chews and a swallow, he had enjoyed it greatly. Maybe, when he ventured into town further, he would go by some more of this chocolate. He then suddenly realised he had forgotten to introduce himself and finally spoke once more, “My name is Ryun.” He then turned to fully face Marko and extended his hand, “It is a pleasure, Marko.”

“Size is relative…” Marko repeated, tilting his head slightly to the side. “Uh…whatcha mean?” he wondered as he reached out and shook Ryun’s hand which ended up being more like shaking his index finger. He was still amazed at the fact that Ryun was really big, and while most things were bigger than Marko Ryun was like super-sized. He was also not the brightest moogle ever, when it came to ‘big words’. After he shook his hand, Marko placed the rest of the chocolate bar in Ryun’s palm, whether the big man wanted it or not.
The moogled plopped down on the ground and opened his bag to look through it. He started setting things out, so there was a pile of mail, a pile of his own personal things, and a pile of chocolate bars as if it was the only thing that the moogle ate. Marko started going through mail, shoving it back into the bag as he went through it. After he had gone through it all everything else went back in the bag. HE stood and put it back around his shoulders. “Nope! No mail for Ryun!” he grinned up at the big guy and laughed softly to himself.
Ryun looked at the little Moogle Marko, and thought about how to simplify his statement, which, he found amusing, since, he tried to make all his statement in their simplest, and to the point forms. It seemed, he would have to explain the statement, which might need more words than he was comfortable using, “To me, you are small, but, to a behemoth, I am small. Something may be big to some that is small to others.”
When they shook hands he nodded at Marko, and, even though it did not show within the monotonic expression on his face he was a little surprised, and thankful to the Moogle when he put the rest of the chocolate bar in the palm of his hand. He looked at it for a moment or two before placing it in one of his pockets. He then looked back at Marko before saying, “Thank you for the gift.” He then placed his hand on Marko, with surprising gentleness, for a few seconds before taking it back.
Suddenly he noticed a group here and there had been looking at them. He assumed that it was because of the fact they looked so different to one another that he should not be surprised that they were staring. However, he started to wonder, maybe it was him that they were looking at, considering his status within the castle. However, he doubted it, he had not been seen publicly with Queen Garnet since he had been given his position, so, pushing it aside he went back to looking at Marko, “Come, let's walk a bit.”

“You’re welcome!” he exclaimed with a little bit of a hop as he was in one of the best moods ever, even if he was a wee bit lost. Though, as it were with the courier moogle his mind moved from one thing to another rather quickly. “Oh before we go have you seen smoke lady or rock guy?” he asked Ryun, while situating his back around his shoulders. He adjusted his gloves as well, like he expected to have to fend off some nasty or something. Not that he was worried with Ryun around. He also figured that Ryun would know exactly who he was talking about (which obviously the large man wouldn’t).
After his question had been posed Marko made sure he wasn’t leaving anything behind, which meant walking around in circles and rummaging through his bag just to be sure. He stopped as he faced away from Ryun and turned suddenly, giving the taller man a thumbs up. “Okay! Where we goin’ tall guy?” he asked, instantly assigning ‘tall guy’ in his head as Ryun’s nickname. He had heard Ryun’s explanation and was letting it sink in. Chances were he’d comment on it later, when Ryun had forgotten all about the comparison.
As Marko went and did his thing Ryun just stood there and watch. He was unsure what to make of Marko, something told him that there was more to the little guy that met the eye. He was unsure why, but he might just put it down to his veteran instincts.
Suddenly the little Moogle asked if he had seen smoke lady or rock guy which, unsurprisingly so, confused the hell out of Ryun. He had no idea, not a single one, about what the little Moogle was going on about. Never the less he answered him, like almost always, simply, “No, I have not seen them."
When Marko had finished getting himself ready the little one put the question forward about where he wanted to go, which was a good question. Ryun was relatively new to the area and the only place he knew reasonably well was the palace ground so he simply said, “Let’s just walk around.” With that he set off.

It didn’t take the taller man to get a decent distance from the moogle, comparatively his stride was huge. Marko blinked and darted after him, having to take about seven or so steps for each one that the giant of a man had to take. “You walk fast!” he exclaimed with a light and happy laugh, though in this case, just as the last time what Marko was speaking of was relative.
“But then again maybe I’m just slow.” He pondered that for a moment while walking to keep up with Ryun. “Eh, I dunno, I can be pretty fast if I need to be” he chuckled, punching his tiny fists together quickly before starting to box with the air. “At least I know I’m not gonna get lost with you, Tall Guy!” he said with a great laugh (for a moogle anyway). He had no idea where they were going. Wandering about was what he usually did, though usually he was getting lost. He stated that, since he likely wouldn’t lose Ryun in a crowd. Easy to spot and all.[/style]

As Ryun continued to walk he noticed the little Moogle seemed to be having some trouble keeping up with him. He looked around for a second or two before stopping completely. He did not know how Marko was going to react to what he was about to do, but, it could work out for both of them, Marko did not have to walk so fast and Ryun did not need to slow down his pace even more so it was not a struggle for the little Moogle to keep up.
When he saw Marko he reached down, his hand almost the size of the guy he was walking with. With his thumb and forefinger he picked the little guy up by the scruff off his neck and lifted him into the air. After a short amount of moving him he placed Marko on his shoulder and let go, assuming that the Moogle would hold on somehow, and not to his hair. He hoped he did not mind it, but, he rather have an angry Moogle than be late for his duties when his time off had passed.
He looked at him for a second or two before starting to walk again, and, since he did not need to make sure Marko did not need to keep up, he was moving much faster than before. As he continued to walk he looked around and thought about a few things. True, Ryun, so far, had been a fist fighter, but, one of the reasons he came into the town was to visit the blacksmith, he was after a weapon and some armour. So, as he walked he looked around for one.
[STYLE=font-family: arial black; font-size: 15px; text-transform: uppercase; letter-spacing: 3px; word-spacing: 1px; text-align: right; color: #2D4860; margin: 0px 10px -5px 5px;]STOP, Moogle Time![/style][STYLE=border-top: 20px solid #2D4860; border-bottom: 20px solid #2D4860; height: 400px; width: 300px; margin: -5px 10px 20px 5px; font-family: Arial; font-size: 11px; letter-spacing: 1px; text-align: justify; color: #93989E; background-color: #EFEFEF; overflow: auto;]The moogle kept walking without a care in the world, still doing his best to keep up. When Ryun stopped, the blue pompommed creature ran into the man's calf. He fell backward with an "oof" but laughed it off and stood.
Suddenly he was lifted into the air. He started kicking and flailing his arms and legs about while yelling.
"HeywhatsthebigideaputmedownI'mnotsometoy youcanpickupandmovearoundhoweveryou-" he cut himself off when he found that he was now standing on Ryun's shoulder. He blinked, blushing a bit for his outburst and scratched the back of his head. His mood changed while he looked around. "Whoa it's so cool up here!" he said loudly, probably a bit too loud in Ryun's ear.
"Thanks tall guy" he said happily, a smile on his face. When Ryun started to walk again Marko scuttled about, grabbing onto the shoulder of the taller man's shirt so he wouldn't fall off. "So, tall guy. Where we goin'?"
This was the second time that he had asked, yet it looked like Ryun had a destination in mind this time.[/style]
[cs=2][STYLE=font-family: arial; font-size: 9px; text-align: center; text-transform: lowercase; letter-spacing: 2px;]template created by boss mcbossyboss of BTN[/style]
Ryun paid no mind to the outburst, he had expected it, after all, if there was someone big enough to do that to him, he was not be best pleased either. However, when Marko cut his ramble off he looked up at him with the same monotonic expression on hi s face.
However, when Marko yelled next to his ear he could not help but flinch from the sudden loud noise hitting his ear. Once he had gotten over it he continued to walk again looking around for the blacksmith he had been looking for, since, there was a particular one he was looking for.
When Marko asked where they were going he did not speak, trying to remember the directions he had been given. However, when he realised he had been asked a question, even though he did not break his stride, or even look at the little Moogle he did answer, “Blacksmith.”
With that he made a turn and found himself in front of a large, and rather fancy looking blacksmith’s. He looked up at the sign saying, making weapons and armour for the Alexandrian army for three generations. He nodded and stood there for a few seconds before walking in.
[STYLE=font-family: arial black; font-size: 15px; text-transform: uppercase; letter-spacing: 3px; word-spacing: 1px; text-align: right; color: #2D4860; margin: 0px 10px -5px 5px;]STOP, Moogle Time![/style][STYLE=border-top: 20px solid #2D4860; border-bottom: 20px solid #2D4860; height: 400px; width: 300px; margin: -5px 10px 20px 5px; font-family: Arial; font-size: 11px; letter-spacing: 1px; text-align: justify; color: #93989E; background-color: #EFEFEF; overflow: auto;]"Blacksmith?" He thought about what that was while he clung to Ryun's shoulder. The little moogle didn't really have much of a use for weapons or armor of any sort since it would feel like needles or papercuts or...something. At least, that's what he told himself.
It was much more fun just punching people anyway, and the little guy did pack quite a wallop.
"Oh! One of those guys that sells shiny things!"
He grinned as they entered the store of the blacksmith, and almost as soon as they were in there Marko had a thought. He jumped down off of Ryun's shoulder and with a frontflip midair he landed gracefully in a low crouch on the ground.
"I might have a letter!" he exclaimed, rummaging through his bag once more. At some point, he grabbed a bar of chocolate that was now sticking out of his mouth while he tried to find a letter.[/style]
