It was getting dark, and he had heard it was dangerous to be out at night. Karrl personally didn’t mind, he was not the type of guy to be worried about a few monsters, or as they call them around these parts, unsent. However, what was worrying him was the massive storm clouds up ahead. He knew if he carried on forward he would run into them, and that would be a bad thing, he hated getting wet. So, he thought he would look around, even back track, so he could find suitable shelter, which, looking at the area, might be a harder job than one would think. There were ruins, but nothing solid to sleep under, with no defences, just in case he came across monsters, or highwaymen, not that he was worried, he just rather not get caught with his pants down.
After about half an hour of looking, and those bloody storm clouds getting closer and closer, he finally found somewhere, a cave. Looking in he saw it was deep, which could be a good thing or a bad thing, but he was tired, and aching from his travels, so he decided it was good enough. Walking in he reached into his pocket and pulled out a lighter and some cloth. Grabbing a stick he wrapped the cloth around out, poured some light fluid on it and sparked it up, making a nice torch. He smiled as he heard the heavens open, “Man, lucky I found this cave when I did.” With that he ventured forwards.
It did not take him long before he found an open area. He smiled and got to work, removing the firewood he had gathered, just in case a situation like the one he was in, ever arose, no one could ever call Karrl unprepared. Once the fireplace was set he threw the torch onto it, after, putting more lighter fluid on the fireplace, and it sparked up quite nicely. Looking around he sat down grabbing a chocolate bar from his pack, as well as a protein drink. He made quick of them before tiredness set in and he crashed against the nearest wall to the fire, one of his hands resting against one of his sabres, like stated before, no one could call Karrl unprepared. Little did he know what was about to happen, and even someone like Karrl could not prepare for those kinds of events.
Spira the land of fiends, the home of Sin and a realm of religion, this land was far from paradise and its denizens where some of the most dependent on heroic acts of people to defend them from fiends, this was not a land where normal monsters seemed to dwell as all the monsters in this land were caused by the dead, creatures known as the Unsent but Karrl already knew that much, What he however did not know was that a doom was upon him. He had not ventured deeply into the caves he had entered, he had simply stopped at the first opening and maybe if he had explored some more he might not of met this doom.
The air filled with a low and terrifying growl that came from deeper into the caves, it sparked primeval fears, those most basic fears that came from the corners of the monkey ancestry of the human being, the fear of something larger and deadly hunting you. The growl continued for minutes, but it did not seem to be coming closer so while a primeval fear would creep over Karrl and maybe if he had a survival instinct he might go with a primeval flight to match the primeval fear.
Karrl had his eyes closed trying to settling down for the night, when he heard the low, terrifying growl from deep within the cave. Now, most people would stand up and brave the rain instead of whatever that growl could have come from, and, even with Karrl’s natural bravery he would usually do the same, however, a strange feeling, an impulse, an instinctual natural if you will, rushed through his body. It was a feeling that he could not deny, and, as his common sense was trying to fight it, the conflict with him caused sharp, searing, pain running through his head.
He clutched the front of his head, his entire forehead with his hand, his eyes still closed, but his face wracked with pain as the two sensations battled for control of his brain. He stood up staggering a couple of times before falling to his knees, his mouth opened letting out a silent scream. His hand moved to his temple and his other hand moved to the other side he head threw back and let out a scream, but, there was something else, it was more than a scream, it was like, well, it was like a howl.
Suddenly his arms fell, his hands dangled at his sides. He slowly stood up, his eyes still closed. Swaying there for a moment or two he sniffed the air and his ears perked up as he continued to hear the growl. A deep menacing growl left his lips, and as that growl left his lips his eyes opened. When his eyes opened they had changed. Normally, they were normal, hazel in colour, and quite enchanting, but, what they were now, was, burning hot, as piercing as any blade, and red. The shape hand changed slightly two, making his eyes more wolf like.
After he stood there for a moment, sniffing the air and growling he turned, towards the sound. At first, as he started to walk, the steps were slow, and calculating, but soon they picked up speed and aggression. His expression was filled with a cold aggression as he speed picked up to a run. There was no fear in his eyes, no doubt, no hesitation; it was almost like he could not wait to find the creature that was in the caves. As he moved he drew his Shaung Dao, the closer he got the hotter and more ferocious his eyes became.
With his natural instincts reacting in an unusual way, infact leading him deeper into the caves for some insane reasons, leading him towards the source of the growling which was now getting louder and more ferocious which each step he takes.
The growls echoed off of the cave walls, backed only by the faint sounds of wind from the outside world as well as the occassional drip of water from deeper inside the cave, minutes would pass as he continues to move towards the growling and then source of the growl soon became visable as the creatures Muzzle was barely visable in the light from this distance but the sharp teeth could be seen at bared at him, as he continues to move more and more of the creature becomes visible revealing a large wolf as big as a Ronso stood ready to attack, ready to pounce at the threat that stood before it.
As Karrl moved further and further into the cave his face almost seemed to contort with a bestial like rage, his voice letting out a growl of his own. If someone was to read Karrl mind at that point in time they would not understand, because the sound in his head, was, a deep growl, and the sight within it, was pure blackness, with to massive red and silver eyes being the only thing that broke the darkness within his mind. Karrl had never gotten this way bad before, however, there have been times, times when he faced off against wolf like creatures, when that low growling sounded off in his mind, almost like a territorial warning to the other creature.
{Attack Started}
Making his way deep within the cave he only saw teeth, but he smelt it, he smelt the creature in front of him, and it only made his rage growl ever more. However, he stopped, lowering himself into a pouncing position as his body began to physically react to the rage. His already large muscles grew even more so, and with the growth of his muscles his body began to shake. He pulled back his teeth and let out a massive growl, but there was more to it, his already long canines had extended , and his teeth almost vibrated from the growl that left his lips.
{Bestial Rage Activated}
Standing there he did not make a move, waiting for something, the right moment to strike. All of a sudden he let out a massive howl, almost like he was sounding his battle cry. With that he launched himself forward at speeds greater than most normal humans could archive. Running straight for the large wolf, moving in a zigzag he stared the beast down. All of a sudden he swayed to the left and straight for the wall. Just before he reached the cave wall he jumped and used his foot to launch himself at the creature. When he reached the beast he slashed at it with both of his blades coming from the centre and moving to just outside his chest.
As Karrl howled the wolf vanishes from infront of him, its growl stopping the moment Karrl moves to attack, the basic and mindless actions of Karrl made the wolfs evasion so much easier as it had leapt backwards before it rushes towards Karrl, watching his movements, taking the chance it swiftly moved to Karrls right as he lunged at the cave wall before it speeds up pulling away further from Karrl as he lunges off of the cave wall towards where the wolf had been only moments ago, it wasn't a dumb creature so using all of its power it runs further away from Karrl before his attack could land (111Words, Evaded.)
The wolf soon vanishes down the way Karrl had come, seemingly making a dash towards the outside world.

Karrl landed with the strike, but the wolf was nowhere near his blades. The crazed youth growled in anger as his attacked missed, his muscles tightening and his teeth bared letting the growl out slightly louder than what it would have been if his lips were closed. Karrl did not let this, his prey, as he thought the wolf was, seemed to be quicker than him, and Karrl, even though in his frenzied state, knew that he greatest strength was his speed. He could rely on his other abilities, but without the speed to pull them off it could prove to be a fruitless task.
Standing there for a moment growling he saw the wolf making a break for it, Karrl was not going to let it get away that easily. However, before he could make a move the wolf was out of sight, and heading toward the exit of the cave. Karrl knew he would need all the speed he had to keep up, let along catch the beast, so he sheathed his blade and went into a hunched position. He sniffed the air for a moment or two before putting his left foot backwards slightly. After tensing, his muscles, seemingly growing as he did this, he launched himself forward.
As he made his way through the cave he sniffed the air and growled from time to time, the wolf seemed to be gaining ground faster than he would like. Karrl was fast, really fast, for a human, but this beast, it was faster than he could ever hope to be. However, he was not going to let a little thing like a speed difference stop him from hunting the wolf and let out a massive howl as he pushed himself forward, his speed seemingly increasing as he did. Karrl would be damned before he let his prey escape him.
All of a sudden he tripped and fell face first into the stone floor. As his face, as well as the rest of his body impacted with the cave he let out a long raspy gasp of pain. He laid there for a moment or two before slowly getting up into all four. As he head lifted there seemed to be blood coming from just before his right eyebrow, impeding his eyesight there, not by much, but it sure as hell did not help him any to see in such a dark environment. Never the less, as soon as he got his wind back he growled again before launching himself forward.
He had finally made his way back to the area where he had set up his fire, and he let out a howl of pain as the light from the flames hit his eyes. He took a couple of steps backwards, as the sudden onslaught of light hit him. Growling in pain slightly as his eyes started to adjust to the increased amount of light. It did not take him long before his eyesight managed to do this, and with that pushed on forward, towards the wolf, towards his prey.
The flash of lightning fades away to reveal that the night was in full effect and so was a storm, rain was pounding down heavily upon you as if it was pebbles falling from the sky, this combined with the dark of the night reduced visibility to nearly nothing at all. Only the flashes of lightning illuminated the world for your eyes, however this was not a blessing as it left you blind to the deep dark of the surroundings. In this environment the wolf was not visible to your senses, yet it was still here, it was watching you closely. Would you understand the situation properly?
A flash of lightning cracks down cleaving a nearby tree intwain lighting up, for a split second, the world around you revealing the muzzle of the wolf right infront of your face and then a sharp pain across your cheek as the light drains away leaving the world in darkness. Would you understand that the sound of the rain and the roar of was drowning out the normal sounds of the living. [5Dmg to Karrl, unavoidable]
Battle Begin
Enemy: Dire Wolf HP: 300 MP: 100 Abilities: * Howl: Inflicts Haste and Brave on Dire Wolf for 3 rounds. * Jugular: Aims for the throat of the foe, deals 50dmg or if evaded 5dmg. * Roar: May inflict Slow and Vit-0 on target. Information: An Adult wolf of extreme size, speed and intelligence, smarter than most creatures on Gaia and when it can fights in terrain best suited for it.
Important Battle Information Due to the storm and it being night time visibilty Karrl has the blind status inflicted automatically every round without a lightning strike.
However as you do not have the thunder spell and leaving the lightning strikes upto pure chance would make this much harder than I want, so for Dramatic effect you can 3 times in this battle, have a lightning strike happen in your post [this does not prevent you from attacking, its more of a bit of control over the weather]. Please note there are some hidden effects that will be triggered depending on how and if you use these free strikes. [please note you cannot use these to attack the wolf]
Finally, any fire spells or effects fail under the heavy rain.

As Karrl reached the exit he heard the sounds of the chaotic night he had entered the caved to escape. He sniffed the air and tilted his head to the side, his eyes trying to penetrate the darkness outside. As he sniffed he tried to find the scent of the dire wolf, but, the rain had washed it out, he did not like this, not one bit. Stepping out of the cave he was soaked within seconds and the mass of heavy rain unleashed all of its wet fury. He growled at the fact he was wet and how uncomfortable it made him. Every time he tried to shake off the rain it seemed every drop he shook off two more took its place.
He did not like this, it was too dark and he showed it the only way his mind which had been taken over by a feral, primitive, mind-set could do, he growled into the darkness. Was he expecting something to growl back, or was he expecting the darkness to fear his warning and shrink back, not even he knew that. However, not known why he was growling did not stop him from doing it. As he continued to growl, the heavy rain almost drowning that out from his own ears he continued to stand there. He finally understood that it was not use, the growling at least, and so he stopped. As he stopped growling his barred teeth went behind his lips and he ventured forward, the only reason behind it was the challenge of the prey he was facing.
With all of the things that had happened from the very moment he had stepped out into the reason many things were not set in stone. However, even with his primitive, feral like mind-set he knew only one thing was for certain, things had just gotten a little more interesting, and a hell of a lot more difficult. Would this stop him from continuing, no, would this stop him from hunting, no, would this stop him from fighting something, someone who could be the greatest challenge, the greatest fight he has had in his young life, that was a definite no.
Karrl continued into the darkness, the only thing guiding his steps was pure instinct, and a bit of luck. With almost each step he stopped and sniffed the air, his primal instincts trying to find a way to hunt the dire wolf. Unfortunately, as it still was the rain had washed out the wolf’s scent, and Karrl was not too pleased about this. All of a sudden a flash of lighting came from the sky making Karrl growl and stepped back, shocked and slightly scared by the sudden burst of light, as it shocked his eyes because of the sudden change in light. After a few seconds of growling a short, sharp whimper came from his mouth, it had seemed like the lightning had scared him more than a little bit.
After a few seconds of growling and whimpering he finally managed to gather himself. He bent over slightly, managing to control his urge to bolt for the lighting. He stood there for a moment or two before he finally continued forward looking around as if just staring into the darkness would make him see through it. He spent several moments on several different occasions trying this, but It was not working, obviously. As he realised this he certainly did not hide the fact he was annoyed as another long, menacing growl, left his lips, his teeth slightly bared because of it, like he had anyone who could hear it.
All of a sudden Karrl stopped dead in his tracks, the mud on the floor made it impossible for him to make a dead stop. The rain had soaked the ground so much the ground was closer to more water than mud at that point in time. So, due to the lack of friction on the ground he slid a couple of inches. He looked up as another flash of lightning struck from the sky to the earth below. He had grown use to the lightning, and was not afraid of it anymore, well, almost, but not as afraid as it made it hard for him to think over the fear like the first time it happened. Never the less, even with him getting used to it, the lightning still made it painful for him behind his eyes, due to the fast changes in light.
However, his fear did not stop there being a causality this time, a large, and old looking tree was hit, the force of the strike splitting the tree asunder. Karrl saw there and growled, but suddenly his eyes turned to the side. He turned his eyes, and then his head to the side slight because the ruining of the tree was not the only event that happened within those seconds, a long, powerful muzzle was seen from that briefest moment of light and Karrl did not like it. A few seconds later the muzzle, followed by the dire wolf, launched at Karrl, and struck at him with a fast and powerful attack. It seemed the fight had finally truly begun.
Thanks to the keen eyes and lightning fast reflexes Karrl had always had he caught sight of the dire wolf and its attack. Most men, even trained warriors might have not had enough ability to move in time to dodge the attack. However, Karrl, even though highly trained himself, had pretty much been born with the reflexes he had. Using those reflexes he leaped into the air and backwards, it had seemed like he had dodged the attack. In mid air he tried to keep an eye on the wolf but it went dark again, and he found it much harder, even with his above average sense.
As he landed, due to the lack of friction on the ground he actually landed with a skid, moving back a few inches as he did. He tried his best to keep in the same spot as where he had landed, but not even he was that good, all he could do was to make sure he did not fall on his ass. Unfortunately, when he landed he lost sight of the dire wolf, because he had no time to think which was to leap he just leapt. The darkness did not help, and, even with him keeping his eye on the wolf the best he could, when he landed he had lost concentration and because of that he lost sight of his worthy foe. With all of that happening frustration built up and he could not help but growl because of it.
All of a sudden he felt a sharp searing pain on his cheek, and instinctively he reached up and touched where the pain was. He had no idea what was happening and the confusion he had was clear on his face. Normally he had a great poker face, his emotions were pretty much always well-guarded, but, in this feral state, he could not hide his emotions, and he was easier to read than a children’s bedtime story. When he brought back his hand he saw blood briefly before the heavy rain washed it away from his hand. Where he had touches three large claw marks appeared right across his left cheek and he let out a growl of pain.
He had been cut, when? He quickly thought back on the events that had just passed, trying to think, then it hit him, he had managed to dodge the blow true enough, but he had, just as he left the arc of the dire wolf’s strike, but caught by its claws. He thought himself luck, if it he had moved any slower it might have been his jugular that had the three claw marks in it. This realisation sent a slight wave of panic through him, was he the slower of the two combatants. His greatest strength had always been the ability to move faster than his foe, and if it was the case that he was the slower of the two, he might need to think of a completely different battle strategy altogether.
Karrl knew, without the aid of the lighting, that there was no way he could actually see the dire wolf. The rain was so heavy it clouded his vision, and the fact it was the dead of night only hindered him further. So, in light of this even he knew that there was no point in trying to hunt it down. If he was to hunt it he could get lost, and, even if his keen sense were trained for it since he was moving around and his focus would have to move constantly with it, it would leave him open to attack more so if he was standing still. He may be in a feral state but his instincts were as sharp as ever. The thing was, in his feral state his natural intelligence suffered greatly, however, his instincts go through the roof, so much so they could be called superhuman, which, for most cases could make up for that lowered level of intelligence.
So, he stood there waiting for the wolf, training his senses on anything that might help him defend himself and counter against the beast. His ears were trained on any abnormality in the surrounding area, like water getting displaced. His eyes trained, just in case there was any lightning. His nose, even though hindered greatly by the rained was trained for its scent. He was as ready as he could be when it came to his sense. As he did this he got into a position that would make striking quicker, maybe not more precise, but he knew that he would need all the speed he could muster if he was to defeat it. He knew that, normally his speed was inferior to the wolf’s, so, he would have to try every trick in his book not only to match its speed but to better it, he hoped. As he stayed in that pouncing position he drew his Shaung Dao, since, even though skilled in unarmed combat he would stand a better chance with his twin sabres at hand.

The rain did not let up, the beating of the droplets hammering everything around you only kept getting louder and louder. Your sight was cut off completely as the darkness came flooding back while you drew your weapon. The pounding of the rain was joined moments later by the rumble of the thunder, yet nothing else seemed to hint at the wolfs location in the area which only served to render your senses useless.
Aroooooooo
And then the howl echoed around you, it was hard to tell where the source of the howl was due to the echo and the hammering of the rain, however it was now plain to see that this was a smart creature.

Karrl knew he would, with the lack of light, and the heavy sound of the rain, not be able to track the dire wolf down. He knew the creature was cunning, and strong, he might even be more so than Karrl himself. However, even with his heavy disadvantage, he would not give up so easily. The wolf, tis foe, he may be the toughest test he had ever come across. Karrl was an expert at fighting wolves, he could normally beat them with ease because he could get into their mind and fight them that way, but this wolf was different somehow.
All of a sudden a massive howl came and Karrl looked up, his ear perking up as he heard the sound of the dire wolf. His instincts were telling him to chase after the sound, but, the last amount of human reasoning and common sense he had told him not to go, that was wolf was trying to lead him into an ambush. It took a while but his common sense won out in the end. He knew now the reason why this wolf was different from the others, wolfs were cunning, fast and strong, but this one, this one had almost human intelligence, or so it seemed.
So, not wanting to rush into an attack as sense blind as he was he stood there in a hunched position looking around, listening out, he may not have wanted to go out and find the wolf but he was pretty sure the wolf might try and find him. He knew the only time he could attack with effective ability would be when the lightning struck. So, there he stood, waiting, patiently, waiting for the next strike of light to come, and with that he would launch himself into a fast and powerful attack, he would not let the wolf get the drop on him.

A bolt of lightning crashes down infront of Karrl and the world explodes with colours and light for an instant allowing him for a split second to see his surroundings, to see the wolf stalking around him swiftly, weaving through the trees while the rain continues to drown out every other sound. The wolfs head flicks across glancing at Karrl a moment before it alters it path and flashes its teeth before it once more lunges at Karrl, its muzzle and teeth a meer flash as the wolf flies past his neck. Karrl saw the wolf as the lightning flashed and he turned towards him baring his teeth. Within seconds of seeing the wolf he bolted straight towards his foe, not letting this chance for an attack pass him by. He could smell him, not in the literal sense since the rain had wiped out pretty much all scents in the area. As he moved closer and closer moving at speeds most humans could not match, he did not, not for a second, take his eyes of the dire wolf as Karrl moved in a zigzag pattern, to hopefully dodge any attack that would come his way in this encounter.
{Evade Begin}
However as he went to make his attack the creature lunged at him with more speed and ferocity than before. Karrl did not even take a second to think as he knew if he was caught within its teeth it could spell the end for him. He bent his knees and launched himself over the dire wolf missing the attack, narrowly. {Evade Count: 61, Attack Evaded, 25 Damage Sustained}

As he flew over the wolf he knew he needed to land a powerful attack and quickly. He thought for a second or before he decided to use, it. As he was half way over the wolf he started to glow, the intensity from the glow from his skin was almost as brilliant as the lightning that had just flashed. What he was about to launch was his most powerful ability and he hoped, if it did not defeat the wolf it would give it pause for thought. Never the less, defeat or pause he knew this would be one of the few chances he would get to pull off and attack, so, he knew, he would have to hit with it.
The glowing continued as he started to spin himself in mid-air but soon it started to swirl and shift. He was almost all the way over the wolf when the glowing started to move, almost like it had a mind of its own, and straight for Karrl’s drawn blades. When all of the light, which was in fact the light from his own internal energies, had coated the twin sabres he pulled them back so they were pointing backwards over the opposite shoulders as if he was about to strike. He swung them out just as he landed behind the wolf a little ways away and two massive blades of energy, shot off the Shaung Dao and straight for the wolf. {Attack Count: 243, 60pts of Unelemental Damage}

The wolf is hit by the attack and is knocked aside by the force of the attack but it quickly recovers from the blow, landing on its paws and dashing away back into the trees as the rain continues to hammer away and the light fades away into the darkness as the wolf vanishes from your limited line of sight. The rain blocking out the sounds it made as it rushed around the wooded area swiftly, yet several moments there is a pair of bloodcurdling howls, the first was a vicious and terrifying thing the second sounded familiar and only an instant later there is a flash of white fangs and fur as the wolfs attack rips at his throat once more.

Karrl staggered back feeling the cuts upon his neck. His eyes focused on him foe as he growled low. He did not like this, this creature, he was beating him, and he could feel the energy and life force within in slowly going. He fell to one knee breathing heavily, his body seemed to not want to move, but he knew, he knew he had to win.
After a few moments he slowly got to his feet and started to twirl his blades. He let out a earth quaking howl, completely ignoring the pain in his throat from the last attack. He continued to twirl his blades faster and faster. As this happened one of the blades started to glow green. As he stood there his eyes did not leave the Dire Wolf for one second. His body maybe slower than normal, but, he would make damn sure every inch of movement he could do would be to attack, or defend.
A few moments later one of the blades shot out with lightning speed, well, for someone who has had slow cast of them. The blade in question was the one glowing green. The strange thing was, the strike, it barely touched the Dire Wolf and he came shooting backwards. He felt that, what he had just done, would have to do, for the time being.

The wolf lets out a loud yelp as the attack connects, yet the yelp should of been barely audible due to the rain that continues to hammer down brutally and thunder rumbling out in the distance. Karrl looked at the creature; he tilted his head slightly as he watched the dire wolf. He was not sure why, but the large beast did not seem to do anything. Out of all the reactions that could have happened, this reaction, well, lack of reaction, made him feel the most uneasy.
His first instinct was to attack, but something in his mind told him, this could be a chance to end the fight without further bloodshed. The truth was, if the battle was prolonged any further, he knew he would lose. So, the last part of his mind that could be deemed rational fought with the side of his mind that demanded the blood of the creature.
Finally the battle had been fought and one side of his mind had won. Luckily, or unluckily, it was the rational side of his mind. He knew that through all the sound from their surroundings there was little chance of the creature hearing him. So, in light of that fact he sheathed his Shuang Dao and extended his hand out, with the palm down, as a sign of peace, of hopefully friendship.
The truth was, through this long fight, which had pushed him to his very limits, he had gained respect for the beat that he had been fighting. He would very much like if the end result would be them both leaving with their lives. However, if it came down to it, he made sure he was ready for another series of attacks from the creature. Hopefully, like stated before, it would not come down to that.

A crack of thunder rips across the air as another yelp of pain manages to break through the elements and moments later you would find the heavy form of the wolf hit you squarely in the chest, taking you cleanly off of your feet as you go flying. It should be obvious now what was wrong, there was something else here, something else was getting involved in this fight between you and the Dire Wolf.

Karrl barely had a chance to move when the Dire Wolf smashed him in the chest. Even with Karrl’s speed he did not have enough time to dodge or even block at the blow the wolf’s body inflicted on him. Sent flying off his feet his hit the ground hard, luck for him the ground was relatively soft, but, it still hurt like hell and he let out a gasp of pain.
Slowly he got to his feet and looked around. Karrl knew at that very point in time there was something else, something that had involved itself in the fight between the two feral creatures. However, instead of getting angry, angrier he jumped over the wolfs body and got into a defensive position. Something compelled him to protect the fearsome Dire Wolf, like it was a brother of blood and bone.
As he stood there his blades trained along with all his highly evolved senses, on anything and everything could possibly hear, see or smell. Suddenly, for the first time, Karrl spoke, however, it was not his usual soft and charming voice, it matched the feral state he was in, “Come out coward and fight us.” He did not know why he had said us and not him, but, he felt, being by the wolf’s side, it was, it felt right.
Lightning cracks down through the sky and smashes down right infront of you. And you see the area light up as a strange bipedal machine crackles with lightning as it shakes and rattles, in what appears to be a cockpit sits a man in armour collapsed and smoking. The words Run burn across your mind as the strange machine starts to fall over towards the ground, nearby several men wearing similar armour are seen and you understand the words. But do you listen to the words burned across your mind and flee with the KO'ed wolf?
Karrl looked at the advancing foes and he knew, he knew it, even though he hated to admit it let alone do it, he had to run. The fight with the Dire Wolf had drained him to the point of breaking. He could have taken the men, even in his weakened state, but the machine, that was a different matter entirely. However, there was one more thing that ran through his mind, the Dire Wolf.
He looked behind him and the fallen creature and it was an almost instinctual nature, he had to flee with it. However, he knew, by normal means he would not be able to outrun the men and machine with the Dire Wolf on his back, which he knew he would have to do, lucky for Karrl he had enough strength in him to pull off one more move, and hopefully, it would be enough to get them to safety.
Quickly sheathing his blades he turned around and, using the last of his bestial strength hoisted the creature into a fireman’s lift. He then turned around and looked at them as he came closer. All of a sudden Karrl’s body started to glow white as he closed his eyes and started to chant under his breath. As he chanted the glowing shifted until the white light was focused around his feet. He opened his eyes and smirked, “See y’a” With that he was gone, as he used his quick step ability to vastly increase his speed, so he could flee with the Dire Wolf.
With a final flash of lighting and a crack of thunder you would see a strange figure land infront of the other men before the world is bathed in an electric blue light as you manage to escape back into the cave as somehow you know you'd be safe within the caves depths, at least for the night.
The Dire wolf on your back was half dead, it was covered in blood, wounds and in many places there were clumps of fur missing. You knew with a glance which wounds you had inflicted and which you had not. Had that machine not interfered you could not honestly say you had the upper hand against this creature. Maybe lady luck was on your side, or maybe fate was enjoying tormenting you, either way now was the time to heal.
Deep within the cave Karrl stopped, the last of the energy he could have used was gone. Lowering the Dire Wolf he collapsed onto the stone floor and rested his back and head against the cave wall. Karrl was completely spent, and he hoped he would be safe in the cave, at least for the night so he could recover from his wounds.
Looking at the Dire Wolf he saw the creature was in as bad a shape as he was, however, a good number of the wounds on it were not inflicted by Karrl, which made him wonder, could he have actually defeated the Dire Wolf, if the machine had not have interfered. However, those thoughts soon faded and the exhaustion took hold and he fell into a light and uneasy sleep.
Bonus Time: Nightmares abound! Your next several posts should be describing the nightmare Karrl is currently suffering from. Bonus experience and gil will be awarded for interesting nightmares or impressive nightmares. You can spread this out over the next several posts, ending the nightmares with Karrl jumping awake. Once you have Karrl wake up I'll post once more.
Karrl was standing in the training grounds of Balamb Garden. At first, as he stood there, he felt confused, how did he get there? However, that confusion was taken over by one emotion, and one emotion only, rage. Looking around he suddenly realised there were five massive figures lying torn apart on the floor. It took him a few seconds but he realized what the figures were, T-Rexaur. He looked at them, the five massive figures that laid by his feet, claw and teeth marks, that of some vicious wild animal all over there body. All of a sudden he felt a strange taste in his mouth and it took him a few seconds to realise what it was, blood.
He looked up and saw three more, and they, they smelt scared, as they stepped back growling and roaring at something. He looked around but all he could see was… him. They were scared of him. However, he did not feel shocked; the fear only seemed to make the rage grow. Turning his head he let out a massive howl and charged in to attack the three fearsome lizards. The area around he seemed to blur past and yet, at the same time, seemed to move in slow motion. The speed he was moving was that of nothing he thought he could do. He knew he was fast, but this was something else.
As he attacks he drew back his hand, however, he saw his hand. For one thing it did not hold one of his Shuang Dao, The other thing was, well, at first he did not realise it was his hand. Long, curved claws were glistening with blood within a long, nimble but strong hand. Over the back of the hand curving at the knuckles was long, silver fur. It took him a second or two before he realised it was in fact he hand and he turned to the T-Rexaur and tore them apart like they were nothing more than a set of cheap chew toys.
The next thing he knew he was standing in the main area of the docks of Balamb Town. Surrounding him was screaming as they all the civilians ran around screaming. However, there was one joining point in all the chaos; they were all running away, away from him. At first he was confused but soon he looked around and there were bodies scattered around the area, torn apart just like the T-Rexaur had been. At first he was unsure what had happened, but, the same metallic taste from before came from his mouth, when he realised, the person who had killed them, it was him.
Looking into the distance he saw Balamb Garden, on fire. Without even thinking he rushed towards the Garden. However his sprint towards his home was stopped when he saw a group of SeeD standing in his way. However, instead of asking what had happened, his rage grew as he continued his run. The SeeD raised their weapons and charged Karrl. At first he was shocked, but soon the rage took over and all twenty members of SeeD got torn apart by himself, the same claws as before, but, he sank his teeth into them, biting through both flesh and bone like it was nothing more than bread.
After the very short battle between Karrl and the SeeD was over he looked around. The pain he felt from hurting them was great, but, his body did not seem to care as he ran towards the Garden once more, only stopping to attack and kill random civilians and any other SeeD that were in his way. He had no idea what he was going, or why he was doing it, but, his body was not acting on his own will. If it had it would he would have stopped himself, but he couldn’t.
All of a sudden he was standing in front of Balamb Garden. He looked at it as it seemed to be burning to the ground. He wanted to scream, he wanted to cry, but all he could do was howl as he raised his hands and a warm liquid washed over his body as he did. He looked at his home as it slowly turned to ash and ruin. He was begging his body to let him grieve, but, the only emotions he could feel were rage, oh so much rage, but, at the same time, blood lust and joy, joy as he tasted the liquid washing over him.
He suddenly realised, he was looking at the Garden from an elevated level. So, he looked down and saw something that, normally would make him want to puke. He was standing on a pile, a massive mound of dead bodies, torn apart and ripped into. The blood lust was growing as he saw this. He looked and saw both civilian and SeeD alike, faces he knew and he didn’t know. He went to clench his fist but something stopped him, something was in his hand. He looked at what it was, it was a head, the head of Erinna.
Staring at the head he wanted to cry, he wanted to scream, he wanted to let his pain out at the site of her head, bleeding and ripped into, as the blood washed over his hand, so much bloody. All of a sudden, “This will come to pass if you do not control the beast within, my Avatar of Rage.” He was about to say something, but, all of a sudden he shot up straight. It took him a second before realising where he was, back in the cave, it had all been a dream. However, at the same time it seemed so real, and the words that had been said to him before he woke up still rung in his head, “This will come to pass if you do not control the beast within, my Avatar of Rage.”

As you bolt upright into the waking world you would notice a strange figure just stood near the entrance staring at you. It was a tall figure, clad in black and silver armour that made him a menacing figure alone yet the strange long horns seem to nearly scratch along the natural stone cieling of the cave.
"The storm has passed and the danger is gone for now but find a way to quiet the storm in your heart before it bursts through the damns of the soul."
His voice was strange and had a serious tone to it and with that the figure turns and with his right hand gives you a slight wave before he leaves, exiting the cave without a further word allowing you to glance around the cave and finally notice the head of the Wolf resting on your leg as it sleeps.
Karrl looked around his eyes a little blurry from the sudden change from the sleeping world, to the waking one. However, his eye only took a few moments to adjust, and what he saw made him, instinctively, reach for his blades. Then the tall figure spoke, and, it confused Karrl, what the man had said. How did he know about the war inside Karrl’s heart, was he some kind of mystic. However Karrl did not get to ask that question, since the man had already left, which left him confused, and a little frustrated.
With the tall figure left he had a chance to look around, the smell of the cave stone mixed with the heavy rain from the night before filling his nostrils. All of a sudden he felt something warm resting against his leg. He looked down at the source of the warmth to see the massive Dire Wolf resting on his leg. Karrl could not help but smile seeing such powerful and proud beast so peaceful. Something else, it seemed, right, them together like that. He reached down and ran his hand through the Dire Wolf’s fur on his head before going to get up.
As he got up he gently moved the proud beast head so he could stand up. Standing up Karrl’s bones began to pop and crack with the movements, slightly protesting to the fact he was moving. Karrl, as he stood, looked around a bit move before stretching, his body began to pop and crack even more when he did this. He looked down at the wolf and smiled. He stood there wondering what he should do next, he knew he had a job to do, but, it suddenly dawn on him, he had not eaten, and his body was craving meat. So, he went to leave.
As you stood up the wolf started to stir and be the time you had moved the Dire wolf was sat staring intently at you for a moment, its head following your movements for a few moments before it stands and slowly starts to follow you towards the caves exit.
