You alone stand upon a strange arena, empty and somehow without end but yet still round, the floor is a cold blue stone with a strange pattern carved into it that continues for as far as you can see. Above you is the sky, or what you feel is the sky it is a large black emptiness with no light flowing from it, the light itself seemingly emerging from each of you. The Arena is empty besides you and you must feel slightly confused by this place and your sudden arrival.
"Oh... Its you."
An unfamiliar voice comes from behind you, some how you figured that the owner of the voice knew you somehow yet as you turn around you find nothing there and silence only remains around you only to be broken as a pillar of fire rises from the ground into the sky firing a round object high into the sky which drops down right infront of you the object to be a large ball of fire, a Bomb, a dangerous monster from many places across Gaia.
Event Battle I: Bomb Event Theme: Battle on the Big Bridge. Battlefield: The Void Beyond - Do not heal between Battles.
Karrl suddenly found himself in an area which was unfamillair and instantly, all five senses went on alert. He did not like this, the last thing he remembered was standing in front of the Garden, preparing himself for his return, and getting back to his duties as a member of SeeD. His ears, eyes and nose was trained on anything that was moving.
Suddenly he heard a voice, and from what it said he had a strange feeling that the voice knew him. He quickly turned around to face the voice, but, there was nothing. His hands which were lingering over the handles of his twin sabres gripped hold of them, but, sudden the smell of smoke and fire came to be.
He turned around to face, a bomb. A grin appeared on his face, he knew then and there what was happening, he was supposed to fight. Karrl did not mind this, in fact he like the idea. Karrl was a creature born and raised in battle, and, the fact he was facing a bomb, a creature he had faced and destroyed on more than one occasion, he thought it would be a good warm up.
After the bomb appeared and was looking at him, Karrl’s hands dropped, to his sides. Suddenly his right hand shot up in a semi-clenched position, with the first two fingers pointed up he closed his eyes and began to chant. Suddenly he started to glow yellow and, after a few seconds his hand shot forward into an open palm, casting scan on the bomb.
When his hand shot forward and cast scan he brought it back into a completely clenched position placing it on his chest. He closed his eyes and began to chant once more. As he chanted he, yet again began to glow, but, that time around he was glowing green. He stood there continuing it chant, and, because of those actions he might not have time to attack, that time around, but, it was a needed evil.

The bomb shakes violently in the air as you focus upon bolstering yourself, the beast however focuses on attack as it builds up magical power within it, the mana soon overflowing and surrounding it. Rising into the air the bomb unleashes a powerful blast of mana towards you a blast that erupts into a cloud of flame that engulfs you while the Bomb starts to swell up in size.

As the flames erupted around Karrl he had just drawn his blades. Standing there he was struck with the full force of the fire element magics. However, as the flames died down Karrl was still standing there, smoke coming off him, however, taking a closer look, not an ounce of damage had been done to the SeeD Mercenary. He smiled quite wickedly as he twirled his blades back and forth before charging in. His movements were fast and agile, moving in a zigzag motion, trying to confuse the bomb before he charged in.
When he reached the elemental creature he swung down with one of the blades spinning himself around to do the same with the other blade. When back in a position so he was facing it completely he spun his blades and performed a cross slash against the front of it before jumping backwards getting ready for the next attack. Karrl was strong, and fast, but, he was also, despite what some people may say, not stupid, and would make sure he was ready for anything, since, he got the feeling, the bomb would get stronger, and his little spell might not be as useful next time around.

The Bomb falls to the ground like a heavy rock under the fierceness of your blows, once on the ground the body of the bomb rolls slightly before it fades away to nothingness.
Battle I WIN: 200XP/GIL
Behind you before the Bomb fades away a loud howl erupts before a large white hairy creature smashes itself into you sending you flying across the arena allowing you to see its large wild grinning mouth with sharp teeth and two large ears, with another Howl the beast resumes its charge at you slamming itself into you once more sending you flying far.

Karrl looked down at the creature the blood lust, raging in his eyes. The bomb had not satisfied him, in fact, the weakness of the creature only seemed to make the need for battle grow. However, the next thing he heard, after the bomb had faded away, made Karrl grin and, when he faced the creature he grinned even more, since, maybe this would be more of a challenge than the last fight.
When the massive beast charged at him he stuck his hands out and caught the rushing beast making sure it did not do any damage to it. As he pushed against it he stepped back and swung his blades upwards so both blades hit it in the bottom of its head before spinning around and slashing downwards at the creature around its neck. He hoped that was not the most the creature could do, if so, the battle would be just as disappointing as the last one.

The Bandersnatch grins wildly as your flurry of attacks slash at its large hairy body violently, yet even under your barrage of attacks it keeps grinning and soon you'd know why as you feel a magical energy wash over you before the world goes dark.
Action 1: Sleep [SUCCESS: Unable to do any actions next round, Take double damage from ATK skills.] Action 2: RUSH [800Dmg]
Event Battle II: Bandersnatch Event Theme: Battle on the Big Bridge. Battlefield: The Void Beyond - Do not heal between Battles.
Karrl did not like the smile on the creatures face, it never boded well when a massive beast was smiling at him. All of a sudden he felt something wash over him, a calm, sleep causing feeling and, just before he collapsed he utter the words, “Bloody, sleep spells.” With that the world went dark and he started to fall to the ground.
As he started to fall the Bandersnatch rushed him sending him flying across the arena. When he hit the ground his eyes shot open, as if the attack and the landing was his only form of pro plus. He slowly got up, somehow still clinging onto his twin sabres. He was on his hands and knees for a second or two shaking his head to clear the cobwebs before he finally got to his feet fully.
He suddenly looked at the beast and his eyes had changed colour, from hazel to red. This was a sign of two things, one, he was going to take this battle seriously, and, there was also the fact rage was starting to pump into his system. Whenever Karrl started to get angry nine out of ten times something bad was about to happen. He let out a massive shout, “Is that all you got beast, come on, show me what you got.”

The Bandersnatch grins wildly as it stands over you, its grin seemingly growing once more and once more you feel a magical energy brush over you however this time you manage to resist it, maybe the first success had rendered you immune to this one however before you can react it slams itself into you once more.

Karrl stood there growling, his fang like canines bearing at the Bandersnatch. Even though the creature had just knocked the beast fighter through a loop he was showing he was still ready to fight and he was not afraid. He was not about to lose to a creature he called his prey. Suddenly the same feeling he had before washed over him. However, he used every ounce of his will to stay focused. He would not fall to the same trick twice, and he let out a massive growl showing his will and determination. It was not long when the feeling left and he was left unaffected.
The next thing he knew was the creature rushing at him and he took it head on. He looked into its eyes as the Bandersnatch started to push him back. Suddenly Karrl brought one of his blades and buried it deep into the creature, and with an amount of strength Karrl was not known for used the blade to lift it up. As the king of beasts held the creature there he looked into its eyes and slammed his other blade into the side of its neck. With that swift blow he was trying to cut the creature’s head clean off.

The Bandersnatch waves slightly as you attempt to slice off its head before it collapses onto its side with a heavy thud.
Battle II WIN: +300XP/GIL [500Exp/Gil total]
You hear an unnerving sound behind you and as you turn you are greeted by your shadow slashing its twisted claw across your chest rapidly and you feel a darkness attempt to take over your sight just before the world darkens and everything becomes harder to see.
Karrl was standing there breathing a little heavily due to the intense fight he just had with the Bandersnatch. However, as the creature disappeared he heard and eerie noise from behind him. When he went to turn around he was struck, and, even though the attacks did not actually hurt him he felt a strange feeling, and then the world went dark.
He could not see a thing; however, Karrl would not let a little thing like blindness stop him from fighting. As his sight went his other senses really kicked and, and, when his senses kicked in that meant something. Trying to follow the creature from sound and smell alone he twirled his blades before he slashed down at it and spun around slashing at it again. He did not know if it hit, but, he would hope so.

The strange beast reels backwards as your blows connect and once your assault is over the creature rises from the ground, its long flat claws reach around to its chest making some strange sort of gesture a couple of times before it falls to the ground.
Karrl felt his blades sink into the creature, which made him smile. However, something told Karrl, just for the moment, pull back. He was unsure why, but, thinking about it, there was a good chance, even if he won this fight, he would be fighting a creature that was more powerful, and, he did not want to go in blind. He was sure this affliction was on temporary, so, he did.
He slashed at the creature one more time before jumping back a bit. Once he was a bit of a distance away he reached into his pouch and pulled out a small bottle of liquid. Using his teeth to uncork it he drunk the whole bottle down in one gulp before throwing the empty bottle to one side, feeling slightly refreshed from the liquid.

The strange beast reels backwards as your blow connect and once your assault is over the creature rises from the ground, its long flat claws reach around to its chest making some strange sort of gesture a couple of times as a small pink heart starts swelling up infront of its chest inbetween its hands soon grabbing it and holding it up before snapping it in half, sending a surge of pain through your body causing you to hit the ground hard. A moment later a healing glow covers the beast as it lays down onto the ground.
Karrl had felt his blade hit once more, and, he could not help but smile, it seemed things were going his way, and, even though blinded, every attack he had swung had hit. However, soon after his smile left him as he started to feel something a wave of searing pain, starting to rush through his body. He knew, whatever was about to effect him had not taken full hold of him, and, a simple roll or block would not cut it. So, he went to one of his more exhausting abilities, but, he knew, it would save his neck.
He sheathed his blades and took the usual stance he did before using an energy manipulation attack, with his hands clenched together and the first two fingers on each hand pointing upwards. With that he started to chant, and his body began to glow a white light. Soon, as the chanting continued the white light started to shift and move until it was all completely focused. Sudden, Karrl was gone, and, within the blink of an eye he was behind the creature, and the pain had left him.
However, Karrl was still in the same position as before and started to chant again. Yet again the white energy from his body started to glow. He did not know why he was doing it, but, something told him the creature was skilled in magics, so, to be safe rather than sorry, he continued to chant. Suddenly the energy moved once and, and once more, the energy was completely focused. Soon, he took a deep breath of air and let out an earth shattering screech aimed at the creature.

The strange beast seems to chuckle as your screech flew in the opposite direction from it and the creature takes its chance and rises from the ground, its long flat claws reach around to its chest making some strange sort of gesture a couple of times as a small pink heart starts swelling up infront of its chest inbetween its hands soon grabbing it and holding it up before snapping it in half, sending a surge of pain through your body causing you to hit the ground hard. A moment later a healing glow covers the beast as it lays down onto the ground.
Karrl knew, he did not know how, but he knew he could not get hit by that attack, even though his energy was waning he knew he had to do that move, one more time, any more than that and he might do some irreversible damage to himself. Closing his eyes he began to chant, and once more his body started to glow, which soon started to shift and move, until, just as the attack was going to hit him, he vanished, and appeared behind the creature.
As he stood there the rage that was constantly in his heart grew more and more out of control. However, he knew what it was, it was the beast inside of him wanting to fight, and, he knew, if he wanted to win, he would let out. All off a sudden he let out a massive roar of rage and his body glowed one more, but, it was not white, it was red. His eyes changed from red, to silver and his canines extended a little further along with his nails. He looked at the creature in front of him and let out a low, menacing growl.

The strange beast once again reels backwards with an incredible determination to inflict you with whatever effect it was trying to hit you with and as its long flat claws reach around to its chest once more making a now all too familiar gesture a couple of times before it falls to the ground, it had failed this time.
Karrl stood there, his upper lipped pulled back into a snarl, his fang like canines there for all to see. He was twirling his blades back and forth, waiting to the opputunity to strike. He wondered what the flesh of the creature would taste like, if it had any flesh, or blood that is.
All of a sudden he spotted the chance and did not hesitate, not for a second to move in. His natural speed make quick work of the distance between them, moving in a zigzag motion as he always did when he was about to move in. He wanted this creature gone, and only the next fight.
When he was within striking distance he spun around bringing both blades down on the creature one at a time, in an almost beautiful, ballet like spin. When he was just about to finish the spin it seemed that he was not finished just yet and performed another spin doing the same move, like a dance of bladed death.

The shadow shakes violently as it is sliced in twain its hands shooting upwards as it makes an attempt at a final strike as a crack of thunder strikes down at you.

As the shadow fades a small green thing drops down from the sky bouncing on the ground twice, flipping in the air before you can get a good look at it. Stood before you was a armed and legged cactus like creature that was bouncing around on its feet as its arms snapped up and down interchangably.
Event Battle IV: Cactuar Event Theme: Battle on the Big Bridge. Battlefield: The Void Beyond - Do not heal between Battles.
Karrl stopped twirling with his blades as he saw the creature about to fall. He turned around and started to look for his next foe, his eyes turning back from silver to red. Suddenly he felt something hit him in the shoulder, and he looked over and saw that a lightning bolt had hit him. He sighed and brushed off the burn marks it had done to his trench-coat.
Suddenly he saw a little green thing drop down near him, and, thanks to a few trips to Galbadia, he knew exactly what it was. He also knew, he needed to beat it hard and fast, because, there was a good chance, if the Cacturn, took the offensive, it would mean lights out for Karrl. He had fought long and hard and he would be damned if a spiking blob of snot was going to defeat him.
Without a second’s hesitation he rushed in and performed the same twirl as before, slashing down with his blades, but, instead of going a second time he stopped and, when breaking out of the twirl slashed diagonally against it. He wanted this over fast, but he knew, he had to at least play it reasonably smart, and not make any mistakes, since, if he use up too much energy, it would be bad in the long run.

The Cactuar bounces across the ground from your two blows but lands on its feet, its arms snapping up and down alternatively with some speed before it unleashes a powerful barrage of needles and as you feel the first of the needles hit you the world goes black.
