It was early morning, but the streets were bustling with excitement, as the market was open. Throughout the streets there were all kinds of people, and creatures, walking about on their business, buying or browsing. The market stand owners were calling, almost begging for the number of shoppers’ attention, as they tried to sell their wears, and a number of them were doing well at it.
However, walking through the streets was one young man who was neither browsing, buying nor was he selling anything. As he walked through the streets his long, purple hair blew in the light morning breeze as he looked around, maybe he was browsing. As he walked through the streets he caught sight of a number of tempting things, however, his stomached started to rumble.
The young man had been up all night, doing his job, well, what he sees as a job. He was in fact the notorious thief, Leon Belren, supposedly the best thief in Alexandria, of course a number of people might disagree with that. As he noted the hunger he smirked and looked around for a moment. He noticed a stand selling sweet rolls, and he found his target. He thought on his feet and caught sight of how he was going to get it. He gently walked over and squeezed another man’s rear end.
Turning around the man saw what Leon wanted him to see, another man and this got the first one angry. The first spun the second around and smacked him in the fact. Soon, a fight broke out. Leon stood nearby as he watch events unfold, and soon, the owner of the stand went to intervene with the fight, and that when he struck. Smoothly walking over he snatched about nine or ten sweet rolls and walked away. He smirked as he looked around and made his way, quickly to a roof to enjoy his ill-gotten gains.
Zidane was walking through the town kind of just watching the people move about, wishing there was something to do. Someone caught his eye it was a boy with purple hair something about this boy seemed to catch his eye, maybe it was the hair or possibly it was because he seemed to have the same air as Zidane the presence of a fellow thief. Smiling Zidane decided to watch the boy from a distance and started to slowly get closer to get a better view. Seeing the boy grab another man’s rear causing him to spin around and start a fight with some other guy, he watched as the boy stole some rolls from a vendor whose owner had left to go stop the fight.
“Smart kid, Buuuutttt he should have taken these apples here.” Zidane grabbed four apples two for him and two for the boy that had caught his interest. Figuring that the next move by the boy would to disappear to the rooftops or down some alley way Zidane quickly scaled the building and was on the rooftop in no time. Biting into his first apple he scanned the roofs spotting the boy eating the rolls he had stolen. Smiling and happy that he was just a building over Zidane quickly and silently got behind the boy and when he figured he was close enough to the boy he spoke out, “So what do we got here?” juggling the remaining apples ZIdane continued, “A thief who thinks he can steal in my territory?” Catching the apples Zidane smiled and started laughing no longer able to keep a straight face. “Want an Apple?” Holding an apple out towards the boy, he awaited his answer.

Leon looked up when he heard footsteps coming towards him. He made it seem like he had not heard them and continued to eat one of the sweet rolls he had stolen, finishing it off. When the voice sounded he could not help but smile, figures it was another thief that would be the one who would catch him. He looked over his shoulder and smiled a bit.
Looking at the fellow thief he took in his appearance, and made a mental note of what he looked like. He continued to smile before speaking, “I’m sorry, I thought, as the best thief around I had free reign.” He chuckled before the other thief offered him an apple. He took the apple and smiled, “Thanks.” He said this before putting a sweet roll in place of the apple in the guy’s hand. He took a chunk out of the apple and smiled, “Hmm, not bad.”

“Well things taste so much better when you work hard for them.” Zidane chuckled a bit and nibbled on the roll he had been handed. “So you’re the best thief around huh?” He said smiling, “That sounds like a challenge.” Walking over to the edge of the building Zidane looked down at the town market and watched the people moving around, the tons of faces that he had seen atleast once and knew where the majority where stationed in the market, after all he had grown up here this was his area and his place of business. “Well if you think you’re so great how either a contest or possible teaming up for a heist?” Crossing his arms Zidane made a note of what the other thief looked like so he could pick him out in the future if he happened to come back around this area.
“Oh and by the way the name is Zidane.” He smiled and held out his hand.

Leon sat there calmly listening to the other thief. He chuckled at the comment about things earned, “Oh too true.” He looked up at the sky enjoying the sun and the smells in the air. He loved Alexandria, and he knew, there was nowhere else he would rather call home. True he had not travelled much, well, at all in fact, outside of the continent, but, he was sure nowhere could beat the place he called home.
However, when the other thief, who introduced himself as Zidane, issued a challenge a bit, bright grin appeared on his face. Within the very second he introduced himself Leon flipped up so he was standing and facing him. He looked at Zidane for a moment or two, the same, big, bright, confident grin on his face as he said, “Leon. So, if you think you can beat me, challenge taken and accepted.” Now, the challenge had been give and accepted, all that was left was to see what the contest would be.
Smiling at the enthusiasm from Leon Zidane turned to the edge of the roof once more, “Join me by the edge here then.” Looking around Zidane started picking out certain items, people, weapons, pockets that could be picked or maybe something to be marked. *We need something fun but challenging.* Zidane saw his target it was a carriage that held a famous actor Bellz Von Grantz who starred in some play that told the history of Alexandria. “You see Grantz carriage down there?” Zidane pointed to the carriage then indicated the guards and security around it, “I know for a fact he has a special necklace that he received from the queen,” Smiling at Leon, “The goal will to be get this necklace without being caught by the guard but we have to wait till he gets to his house for an actual challenge.” Stepping back Zidane turned to Leon, “So what do you say you up for the fun, If so you might want to follow me.” Starting off at a jog Zidane turned away and picked up his pace launching himself across the gap of the roofs and landed on the other rolling on impact he immediately was on his feet keeping his momentum and followed the carriage by rooftop. *This is going to be a blast, I actually hope we get into a nice fight with the guard.*

When Zidane asked Leon to join him on the edge of the roof he casually walked over so he was standing next to the fellow thief. He smiled as he looked around, but, his attention was soon drawn to the fancy looking carriage by Zidane’s words. He liked the look of it, if he got that carriage he could sell it off and make a pretty amount of Gil, however, it seemed that was not going to be their target, but the person who owned it.
So, the actor, who he had seen a couple of times in that play, had a necklace given to him by the Queen, which instantly meant it was worth a nice amount, enough to peek Leon’s interest. He continued to smile as he watched the actor judging the best way to go about things, however, when Zidane mentioned that the bigger challenge would be if they waited until the actor reached his house he grinned even more, “Sounds like fun, I’m game.”
With those words spoken he followed Zidane closely behind him. As he made the jump in the same fashion he his fellow thief had done he could not help but smile. The fact was Leon was a skilled thief; there was no doubt about that. However, the scenario they had played right into the purple hair thief’s hands. He was an all-rounder, but his biggest strength was in fact house robberies, since, apart from the more challenging house doors in the city, there was not a lock he could not pick.
