Her home had almost been destroyed and she had taken great pleasure in killing those responsible. Once the battle had ended Lady Adiona had made her way from the temple and out into Bevelle to meet the residents. It pained her a great deal to see them upset and distraught. Now though was the time to press onto Zanarkand. Her guardians would meet her near the entrance to Bevelle, she wasn't quite sure exactly where they were. Perhaps they wouldn't even show up at all after the battle especially Nephia. The relationship between them had changed since that incident within the Cloister of Trials. Adiona wasn't sure how she would handle conversation with Nephia now but that would be a bridge to cross when the time came.
Adiona stood just outside of Bevelle looking out to the horizon, what struggles and even adventures were to come was something Adiona couldn't say. She knew that the final push onto Zanarkand was here and that the only thing for certain for her at the end was death.

Stoic and silent. That is how Nephia would describe herself now. Since the incident inside the cloister and the treatment she had received. So there she was eyes closed her hair an unkempt mess quickly jammed underneath her helmet. She had slain hundreds of soldiers after the cloister incident had occurred and she had felt the planet itself scream for her to stop yet she had not. Instead she embraced the feelings and kept on moving her spear in hand until she had been coated in the blood of Gesthals troops.
Having not washed the blood off of White she held the spear in her hands and approached Adiona. The spear was a sickly crimson black in color from her not cleaning it. Her armor was still nicked, scarred, and covered in patches of dried blood. No words where exchanged as she crossed her field of view and gave her a nod of being ready. Her eyes lingered on Adiona for a moment as she thought as to what she did.
Lowering her head she turned her stance toward the road they where to travel and awaited the orders to move out.
Jordan was a bit out of his way. He usually didn't like to come so close to Bevelle, the people were not the most accepting. Plus the earth felt . . . wrong there. Still Jordan had got hungry and the idea of a meal that actually tasted good this far from Guadosalam was rare and there was some distance between him and a Rin's. So Jordan had finally succumb to the idea of a day without his foul cooking.
The meal hadn't been bad, much better than his own cooking but the fact most establishments wouldn't serve someone with a Machina weapon or who looks so strange ruled out many finer meals. Still it wasn't as bad as his own so it was worth the gil. So now he was heading out again, away from the judgmental gazes and the whispered criticism. Luca was much less shallow minded. In a few weeks he'd be back in Luca the highroad under his feet again.
Walking towards the exit of the city he saw a couple of females, both strangely dressed. It made him wonder, they obviously were planning to move out. Perhaps a summoner party? Jordan knew few summoners were traveling about now. It was hard for him to keep up to date with them. He had heard tell of a summoner nearby, a woman who traveled with two. Though he was probably way off with his guess.
Jordan stood a while watching the two. One seemed to be strange. He felt some strange connection. Like meeting someone you feel you should know from somewhere but can't quite recall. It aggravated him a bit but not enough to show. Jordan somehow felt the other was a summoner though, he couldn't place his finger on it. He was just sure. This was the first summoner he had seen in a long time. Jordan shyness was somewhat a blessing here otherwise he would have made a fool of himself and attempted conversation. The people of Bevelle would not have liked that.
Jordan shrugged and continued out of the city. Beyond the summoner it held no interest for him, so he walked past her. Maybe they could meet on the road, he would have to stick to said road for a while then if he wanted that. They could have a vain attempt at a proper conversation then he told himself as he walked.
Lucius stood, his back to the road as he stood still at the edge of Bevelle. Lifegiver was held across his shoulders as he watches the battles take place within Bevelle a battle of Magic verus Magitek, if this had happened several weeks ago he and a unit of Galbadian soldiers would of been sat just on the outskirts of Bevelle with one of Galbadias advanced weapons. He couldn't help but wonder what would of happened if the gesthalian forces had chosen that time to assualt Bevelle, would the Galbadians been able to help fight off the invaders?
With a soft sigh Lucius turns around, away from Bevelle as he takes his first step out of Bevelles city limits and walks onwards trailing after Adiona and Nephia. Bevelle and Yevon would sort itself out with or without interferance from Sin and the fiends of Spira.
[STYLE=width: 281px; background-color: #876c9c; text-align: justify; float: right; filter: alpha(opacity=45); -moz-opacity: .45; opacity:.45; padding: 10px; overflow: auto; height: 300px;] Her feet ached but she was so near to the end of her journey that she couldn't give up now. It had been such a treat to visit her home but the attacks on Bevelle had left a scar on her heart. Lady Adiona glanced over to Nephia and then to Lucius....would she have time to act on her feelings for him. Ever since the Inn and that drunken kiss there had been no more talk of it. Perhaps when they set up for camp she could speak to him...
A young man passed her and she locked eyes with him, he seemed quite a spritely young man with his whole life ahead of him. Oh how she envied him but this was the path she had chosen.
"On to Zanarkand..."
It was a monotone statement. The young summoner looked back to Nephia and a pang of guilt coarsed through her body. She did feel slightly bad about the events within the Cloister of Trials but at the time she felt such contempt and anger for her new guardian. Adiona slowed her pace down to walk by Nephia's side.
"This last journey of mine...I would prefer to not leave this life with negative emotions attached to my soul."

Nephia stood in place as she felt something fall over her. It was like an intense feeling of deja vu and she saw a young man walk past. Outwardly she showed no change in her demeanor yet internally she was conflicted as the man felt as she did. Could she of ran into one of the last few scattered across this planet. She would have to speak to him if they managed to catch up to him. She was brought back to reality by Adiona and her words to begin the march toward Zanarkand.
Taking a deep breath she began to walk several paces behind Adiona in order to cover her effectively. Watching everything with extra care due to their slowly increasing proximity to the Calm Lands she was surprised by Adiona's slowing of pace and speaking to her. Nephia showed no outward emotion as she listened to Adiona speak. After she finished speaking Nephia would respond in a dry tone.
"Then hold no emotions about me. I am here to do one thing. I am to get you to Zanarkand. Be it slicing my way through swaths of moronic foot soldiers or even facing Sin itself... I gave you my word I would get you there... And I will..."
Jordan was quite happy to have left Bevelle. Leaving the edge of the city Jordan sighed uncaring who heard. Then he smiled wide, that place made him feel unwelcome in a way few other places did. its people could and often were stuffy, selfish and were quite happy to bully those who didn't have the same beliefs. It was just what he hated about people as a whole.
But not now, he was away from there and could put it out of his mind. Getting into the Macalania Jordan held out a hand and placed it on the tree. He could almost feel its heartbeat, something coming from the tree's life force. Jordan was always much more in tune with nature. he felt safer in the presence of nature. Picking up a thick sturdy branch Jordan held about 5 and a half foot up the 7 foot branch.
Taking a couple steps back Jordan exhaled heavily and ran forward. On his 4th step Jordan jumped, pushing the makeshift staffs bottom into the ground and flung his body weight upwards like a pole vaulter. Getting his legs high into the air Jordan managed to just get onto the thick limb of the tree he had touch earlier. He had landed on his back but he was up, that was the main thing. As he lay on his back Jordan looked upwards, to see pyreflies. Jordan's first though when he saw pyreflies was summoners. which reminded him of the woman he had seen earlier. he was sure she had been a summoner, now more than ever before. He wondered if she would mind talking for a while, like Braska had.
Even now the fact that not just any summoner, but High summoner Braska, had listened to him prattle on and answered his question while no-one else would really spend any time around him because of his annoying ways meant the world to Jordan. Even to the point of giving him a dream and obsession not even the entirety of Yevon's devouts shunning him and telling him he couldn't stopped.
Making up his mind, Jordan sat and scooted over to the edge of the limb to wait for the summoner to pass by. He was going to say wish her luck, perhaps talk for a little if she didn't mind.
Lucius remains silent as he follows on behind the two ladies silently allowing them to air what seemed to be tension that had built up at some point. When and where this tension between the two ladies had come from he couldn't get his head around completely as it seemed to be a bit too much to have simply come from Nephia's remarks after the battle just outside the cloister of trials, however it was not his place to get between the two as they aired their thoughts.
He pulls out a cigarette and slips it into his lips before he pulls out his lighter and shields it from the wind with one hand before he lights his cigarette and takes a deep drag from it before he pockets his lighter again before he blows smoke out from the other corner of his lips, with a slight sigh of pleasure he starts to relax slightly as he continues to follow on behind the two ladies, his eyes on the road ahead noticing a new figure sat on the side of the road seemingly waiting for them. He makes sure he has a tight grip on his Lifegiver before he whispers to the two ladies.
"Just up ahead, someone is waiting."
His words were clear and had a hint of steel to them as he starts to ready himself for a possible fight with this stranger.
[STYLE=width: 281px; background-color: #876c9c; text-align: justify; float: right; filter: alpha(opacity=45); -moz-opacity: .45; opacity:.45; padding: 10px; overflow: auto; height: 300px;] The summoner felt hurt slightly by Nephia's comments and she pushed onwards walking much faster than Lucius and Nephia. Right now she wanted to be on her own but there wasn't a way for that to happen. Her guardians would be by her side until she died which now wasn't too far off. Adiona hadn't even heard what Lucius had said, she tried to hold off the tears that were trying to force their way past her eyes. In one swift movement Adiona tripped over a large stone in the middle of the pathway, she stumbled forwards and fell onto her side. The dirt and dust covered one side of her body and hands as she lay there for a few moments.
"...."
What was the point anymore she thought. Adiona shifted so she was now sat on the ground with her legs outstretched. She looked up and caught Lucius' gaze, her heart skipped a beat before she turned away. The young summoner came to the realisation that nothing could ever happen with Lucius...she would be dead soon and he and even Nephia would move on with their lives without her.

Nephia was close enough to see Adiona fall forward and she moved to take a knee beside her as she heard Lucius speak up. Pulling her spear off her back she spun it and set it so she could kneel beside Adiona. Seeing that the summoner was safe Nephia stood and looked at Lucius. Moving over past him she spoke.
"See to Adiona... I will handle whoever this is..."
Walking out in front of the pair she swore she felt the same feeling that had passed her a little while earlier, but she paid it no mind as she readied her spear. Looking she swore she saw a figure inside a nearby tree. Raising her hand up she pointed toward them.
"You in the tree come down and identify yourself... Otherwise I will bring the tree down with you still in it..."
Her words where sharp and direct to the point and she projected them loud enough for the figure to hear her.
by the time the summoner party had come his way Jordan had resorted to humming to keep himself occupied. The tree had felt happy with the tune too, Jordan had felt it, though hadn't quite realized. His legs were swinging back and forth over the edge of the limb much like a child.
As the voice had bellowed at him Jordan had jumped, nearly falling out of the tree. but he managed to recover his balance and stood. Looking at Nephia he smiled. "Just because I'm up a tree don't mean I'm deaf. I don't mean no trouble. I'll come down . . . somehow." Jordan chuckled. then he leaped off the limb and hit the ground, stumbling forward a step as he landed.
Jordan stood and leaned on the branch. After thinking for a moment he smiled again. "So I'm down now. Weren't you with that woman? Friends are you? I thought she might be a summoner, so I wanted to talk. I really respect summoners and wanted to say hi and thank her if she were." He explained. Probably talking too much. Jordan didn't seem to be showing the right reaction for a fan of summoners, making him seemed forced. but it didn't seem he was lying ether.
He nods at Nephias words while keeping a firm grip on his weapon, his eyes focused not upon the stranger but upon the surroundings they found themselves in, he was sure that if anything did start with this person Nephia would hold him off for enough time for Lucius to make his move against him but for now keeping his attention on the surroundings while they stood still seemed more appropriate to him. This did not mean he was not paying attention to the exchange that was beginning, as he listened to the slightly jovial tone of the stranger before he leaps down onto the ground. The strangers words seemed alittle off as he knew that Adiona was a summoner but did not know of the tradition of Summoners travelling with a Guardian, with this Lucius voices a valid point before he takes a deep drag from the cigarette.
"Well one would assume we were Guardians of Lady Adiona"
With that he falls silent turning his head to look behind them for a moment before he blows out a ring of smoke.
[STYLE=width: 281px; background-color: #876c9c; text-align: justify; float: right; filter: alpha(opacity=45); -moz-opacity: .45; opacity:.45; padding: 10px; overflow: auto; height: 300px;] As the young summoner sat on dirt ground she looked between her two guardians conversing with each other before Nephia walked over the stranger by the tree. Putting herself into a foul mood Lady Adiona slammed the palms of her hands into the ground and pushed herself up to her feet.
"Yes..don't help me up at all, I'm fine."
She dusted herself down which mainly consisted of wiping the dirt and dust from her bare legs. Compared to other summoners she was wearing considerably more even though she only wore a thin black top and a see through purple tinted sarong over black...well underwear. She wore flat sandals which were open toed and quite flimsy. They had served her well through the travelling and had never given her any bother. She hadn't noticed before but she had somehow acquired a katana which wasn't her usual weapon of choice, either way it seemed to be strongly made. Her summoning stave was attached to her back which now she only used purely to summon.
Lady Adiona ran her hands through her long black hair before glancing to Lucius, she blushed for reasons that Lucius should know. Her gaze then fell upon the stranger by the tree, she walked up to him and made the sign of Yevon.
"Good day I am Summoner Adiona, it is nice to speak with a denizen of Spira. How might I assist you?"
Jace was running through the streets of Beveille. He made a jeasture to push a young man over. He was almost too the gate of the city. He turned on his heels and stuck out his tongue to mock the city gaurds. He was so close to getting away Scott free that it hurt. “I am not a thief I am a pirate!”
Jace’s ship was gone, the crew he had served with dead, and so he was hardly in a position where he could honestly call himself a good pirate. He was however still a pirate his skill at it aside. Currently he hadn’t meant to antagonize the guards rather he had meant to just do a simple dine and dash, unfortunately his lunch plans had failed miserably and now he was being chased by three people. Turning he tossed another person to the ground as he ran outside of the city gates.
He couldn't trust the fact that he was home free, they would come out side of the city after all but getting out was a good portion of the plan. His walking stick was at his back, and he himself was starting to be sick with exhaustion. Running he could hardly pay attention to where he was going or who he was crashing into, at a dead run he met the exiting party before he could react or even call out a large man in the back of the group, and as he crashed into a large man he felt himself hit the ground and double over rolling. He could still hear the guards fast approaching, but he was knocked prone. The wind simply gone from his lungs as he raggedly tried to catch his breath. He coughed and sputtered as he laid flat with his back his bright yellow eyes looking up into the trees. “Ow.”
Post by Nephia Cornell on Nov 5, 2012 19:08:47 GMT
Nephia stood as she watched the young man make all a fool of himself as he jumped down onto the ground. Her entire body was tensed and ready to strike if needed, but for the both of them it was thankfully unneeded. Hearing the man speak she responded to him.
"I am with her and she is a summoner of Yevon and..."
Her voice trailed off as she placed her spear back onto her back. It was an event that she will keep an eye upon the man but will not stop him from speaking with Adiona. Listening to Lucius and then Adiona speak she moved back and leaned against a nearby tree. Her eyes began to move back and forth keeping an eye for any sort of attack upon Adiona from sources other than Jordan.
Lucius smiles slightly at Adiona as she turns red and just takes a deep drag of his cigarette as she steps towards the stranger he takes a step backwards listening to her words, raising an eyebrow at the denizen of spira comment. The man didn't seem to know much about Summoners and even the Al Bhed knew much much more about Summoners, however Lucius remained relaxed as he smoked his cigarette.
Several moments later Lucius grunts and staggers forward once as something runs straight into him, swiftly discarding the cigarette and gripping his lifegive3r, spinning it around in his hands before pointing the tip down at the man who had just ran into him. with a sigh he shakes his head and relaxes his grip slightly as the man groans out.
"Watch where you are going."
He mutters softly under his breathe to the man as he glances over to Adiona, oblivious of the guards coming after this new man.

Nephia stood against the nearby tree waiting for the young man to speak his peace. As he stood there and nothing came out she began to tap her foot as if becoming more and more agitated with the man she somehow felt familiar with. Raising her head she looked up into the sky and mumbled to herself.
"Why Mother Gaia do these people keep getting in her way..."
As she grabbed her spear off her back she heard a commotion and another man came crashing into the area running directly into Lucius. Inwardly she chuckled to herself as she slowly began her way toward the now knocked off his feet man and Lucius. Walking over beside them she noticed the guards making an approach and she walked over beside Adiona. Standing there she gave a slight motion to Adiona before speaking toward her.
"We have a large group of people coming this way. Could be after the man who just ran into Lucius. I suggest we be ready for whatever is coming be it friendly or hostile..."
Moving after she finished speaking she stood in between the approaching guards and an easy lane of movement toward Adiona. Turning her head toward the man on the ground she spoke at him.
"Speak quickly... Otherwise I know we will not hesitate on tossing you to whatever is chasing you."
Jace let out a stern cough as he kept his eyes closed. he could hear the drawing of weapons and he could hear him being adressed by a male and female in turn. This was not his lucky day, if he told a lie he would be found out quickly enough when the gaurds caught up, and if he told the truth it would be up to the people he ran into too save his ass.
He opened his eyes the glowing energy of them reflecting off the light of the gun pointed at his face. It wasn't the most reassuring sign of friendship and the woman with a long spear had an equally intimidating persona, though she at least did seem familiar though in his life span familiarity was never a good thing, she could have been one of the people he stole from for he knew. when he was commanded to speak he decided that it was a good idea to keep them complacent. Taking a breath inward and exhaling for a moment to gain his composure he decided that he couldn't lie given the situation.
"They are guards from beveil. I didn't have the kind of money they wanted for the meal. I asked to work it off but this country really doesn't seem to understand fair trade of manual labor for compensaiton of debt, and now they seem to want me a little more then dead. Something about past experiences, and for some reason the word piracy is being thrown around, but really it was only the food."
He added 'today' under his breath as he finished giving a kindly look up at the man still pointing a gun at his face. "Really i think this is just a big misunderstanding." His real true hope was that no one recognized him, Jace was not a feared pirate hell he had been an unimportant member of a crew not some famous captain like say Bikkie or Faris, but with a trait as odd his eyes, it was always possible that he could be picked out as a pirate... one of the guards had after all done just that.
[STYLE=width: 281px; background-color: #876c9c; text-align: justify; float: right; filter: alpha(opacity=45); -moz-opacity: .45; opacity:.45; padding: 10px; overflow: auto; height: 300px;] The summoner turned her head slowly as she watched the young man bump directly into Lucius and then as Nephia took her stance near her ready for the oncoming rabble of guards. A sigh escaped her lips as she over heard what the man had to say, it sounded like he was a sort of vagabond or possibly someone not too familiar with Spirian customs. Adiona shook her head as she walked in front of Nephia and the others ready to speak to the guards. She unholstered her summoning stave and pointed it to the Bevelle guards.
"Stand down! He is in my debt now, leave us be....you are holding us up. Sin will not wait for a summoner to be ready."
The guards took one look at each other before making the sign of Yevon and walking away, they knew better than to get in a summoner's way. Adiona breathed a quiet sigh of relief while she holstered her stave onto her back. Her long black hair curled around her lower back as she turned to face the young man.
"You do not have a debt to pay with me, I won't be alive long enough to have it returned to me..."
Lucius looks the man up and down before he lets out a sigh, this man screamed one thing and one thing only to him and as he moves behind Adiona he voices his view to the summoner, not as a whisper but in a clear tone that would be audible to the others.
"A hedgehog pie looks more innocent than this one."
With that Lucius glaces at the man before he speaks directly to him while leaning in towards Adiona.
"If you can keep your habits under control I'm sure the lady Adiona would happily accept an extra hand on the journey."
He then whispers into her ear softly, his questionable appearance however did give a sense of capability even though he had been chased by Bevelle guards.
"The monsters from here on out get tougher, might as well keep him out of trouble for a while and help us deal with anything that could be troublesome."
Jace was new to the continent so when she spoke as a summoner he was confused. He had of course heard the term before but he failed to realize that the tittle that came with diplomatic immunity to some extent. He almost snickered, idea's practically swarming his head. his muse only slightly killed by the man almost immediately calling him out for being a villain. He rolled his glowing eyes, of course he wasn't trust worthy but he didn't say anything to the sort. The diplomatic power the woman wielded was what had interested him, and although she said he owed her nothing he had to disagree.
Jace stood to his feet dusting himself off as he did. "If you excuse me, I doubt you would know a thing about my regular habits. Yes this would look like a compromising position, but for all you know it could have been a one time deal." He gave a harsh glare to the gunner. He did know what he was signing up for but he was damn well going to sign up for it any way. he turned his address to the woman the lady summoner who had pretty much just saved his neck. "I seem to have stumbled across something much larger than myself... So i think I will join you in order to repay my debt."
Jace was a sailor, and had spent most of his life in the veldts or spira region, he was very familiar with the word sin, as the creature tended to attack the ship, and make graveyards out of vessels. True some of these wrecks were good for salvage, but Jace was a pirate, and how long would it take before Sin came for his ship... okay his next ship?
[STYLE=width: 281px; background-color: #876c9c; text-align: justify; float: right; filter: alpha(opacity=45); -moz-opacity: .45; opacity:.45; padding: 10px; overflow: auto; height: 300px;] It was his hot breath on her bare skin she felt first that sent tingles down her back, she bent her head slightly so she could see Lucius better. Not even inches apart Adiona felt her skin flush and a sweat begin to form. With a large gulp of air the virgin summoner moved side ways from Lucius as he finished speaking. The two of them had only one moment where she had revealed her feelings (drunkingly), where do you go from that point. The young summoner looked back to the newcomer as she ran her hands through her long black hair.
"As I said before I will not be alive long enough for you to repay a debt to me. I also do not see this as a debt. The speed at which Sin is moving requires as many hands as possible."
Adiona looked out over the horizon at the direction in which they needed to travel, Zanarkand was a fair distance away and just standing by was not going to help anyone. The summoner looked back to Nephia first and then Lucius. Perhaps with the pilgrimage coming to an end she felt that there were certain aspects of her life that were going to be left incomplete unless she made her intentions known. At her age it wasn't unusual for summoners or priestess to be virgins for example but not many of them were as close to death as she. Adiona swiftly turned from Lucius and looked back to the pirate.
"I am Summoner Adiona Duer, these are my guardians Lucius and Nephia. We are on our way to Zanarkand to obtain the Final Aeon and from that point it will be time to face Sin head on. Shall we begin our journey again?"
Post by Nephia Cornell on Nov 27, 2012 0:03:21 GMT
Nephia stood there quiet as the thief made his case about repaying the debt on his own life. Giving a nod to Adiona as she looked over at Nephia she smirked. Upon the introduction from Adiona Nephia will give Jace a nod and a slight bow.
"Yes let us get moving again... After the city being attacked. I am ready for us to get moving as fast as we can."
With her peace spoken she turns and looks down the road ahead of them to make sure their where no other things waiting for them out in the open. Taking a moment to double check her armor she took a breath and started to slowly walk until Adiona and Lucius caught up to her and she would match their pace.
Jace blinked as the summoner said that she was going to zanarkand. What had he just gotten into? He swallowed back some of his fear and shook his head. Grabbing his walking stick he knew that he would have to be a part of this, true no one seemed excited to have him around, but a summoners pilgrimage it sounded exciting, and well he had just been saved from imprisonment. Even a pirate knew the concept of how too repay a debt.
"Well then... To zanarkand." He spoke with a rather chipper tone. He bowed to each of the guardians as they were introduced. He could tell he had gotten in over his head, but he wouldn't allow it to show, he was far too proud to back out now just because this group was so close to getting to Sin. His motives for agreeing were kind of odd, but Sin was hidden away in the ocean most of the time, for all t he ships he had destroyed, and the hope that it would never be his ship that would be his motive. of course it would have been a better motive if he actually had a ship.
He walked in pace with Nephia. His eyes occasionally glancing at the others with a curious look. He had questions, but he didn't know what to ask, and no one seemed curious about him, so he stayed tight lipped for the moment. It was odd joining up so close to the end of someones journey, he probably would have been more happy had he been able to join near the start. Still he hid his nerves well.
Lucius smiles as the decision was reached and an agreement was made between them. Ignoring the objections of the new man over Lucius's own remarks about the guy he simply continues to smile and waits for everyone else makes to move forward as he just turns his head to look back towards Bevelle for one more moment before he smirks slightly and turns to the others and starts to follow on after them keeping himself a short distance behind them as he allows himself to relax and enjoy the surroundings for a while, becuase once they reached the Calm lands and Mount Gagazet life would become harder as the fiends would pick up in activity although hopefully they'd aviod any encounters with Sin until they got the final Aeon in Zanarkand.
With a slight sigh he tilts his head back and looks up at the sky, there was such a long way to go til they reached Zanarkand and yet it was journeys end once there, amazingly Lucius only just realised that he had never actually seen the place where the final Aeon rested within Zanarkand with all the times he had travelled there in his life. Realising this Lucius speeds up the pace slightly catching upto Adiona before asking the question.
"So, where abouts in Zanarkand IS the final Aeon hidden?"
[STYLE=width: 281px; background-color: #876c9c; text-align: justify; float: right; filter: alpha(opacity=45); -moz-opacity: .45; opacity:.45; padding: 10px; overflow: auto; height: 300px;] The young summoner kept her eyes on her newest companion for a few moments trying to size him up, he hadn't made the best impression but during the time of Sin people acted in very strange ways sometimes. Adiona was almost about to say something but she soon felt that presence behind her, she could feel his breath on her beck which sent little shivers down her spine. Adiona wrapped her arms around her waist as she glanced to Lucius. He had asked a question she wasn't totally sure how to answer, she took a few moments to think about how to answer his question before actually answering it.
"The writings on the Final Aeon are quite vague, no one knows exactly what happens once a summoner gets to Zanarkand. I can only assume the Final Aeon will make itself known when we are close by."
She felt a little stupid she didn't know more but summoners who were successful in their pilgrimage died at the end for the sake of Spira. Summoner Adiona slowed down her pace so their newest companion could catch up, she took a deep breath before speaking to Lucius once more.
"Before we get to Zanarkand and I....well before we defeat Sin I want to thank you for your help so far in my pilgrimage. My other guardians gave up long ago and it's....nice to not walk alone to Zanarkand."
Jace couldn't see the lady summoners comments as being directed towards him. Having literally just joined the party he could still feel the hostility from people around him. Some how he felt like a stowaway on a voyage. still he bowed to the sentimental value of the words. "Well I am sure we can find it. I mean how vast can one destroyed city be?"
Zanarkand wasn't a place he hadn't been too. No ships= No profit for pirates. so the no sail zone was best used for hiding a ship, and even then considering its value he had only ever seen it at a distance, not having set foot on the dead city or getting close to risk an encounter with the waters. "So were just gonna B-line to the city of the dead machines? No sight seeing?" This was his first real time on the actual content of Spira he had gotten close in passing, but this was the first time he was on dry land... figures that it would have taken the destruction of his old ship in order for him to actually come to this place.
"For that matter why even walk? Beveil is just behind us, why not charter a ship to go strait there?" He asked with a shrug. There was a lot he didn't understand about this pilgrimage thing, and he could be talking blasphemy. It could have been that it was a tradition, though he wasn't much for that kind of thing, he would understand. He signed up to go on for this group, and he would do just that. Was it smart? not really and part of him knew that this went against his rules, but at the same time fate had thrown him a lemon. This seemed like the best he could do with it.

To her it was quite offensive but she refrained from screaming down his throat. He was new to their group and to the whole pilgrimage idea. With a sigh Adiona turned and began to walk beside Jace.
"A pilgrimage is an important time in a summoner's lifetime and it is the last time we will see our home land. It is not just about going from each place to obtain the aeons....it is our last chance to see these places before we die."
The summoner paused for breath as her mind began to wander to all of the places she had been to already, only once and never again. With a slight shake of her head Adiona briefly smiled as she looked back to Jace.
"It will be a long journey to the Calm Lands and then Mount Gagazet, from there were will be at Zanarkand's doorstep."
