Tucked away in the corners of the many residential areas located within the technologically gifted city of Esthar, Shizuma found his makeshift home for the time being. It took him a few days to find the right place, one he could afford and didn't agitate his mind too much. He lived in what could arguably be called the dullest living quarters that the city had to offer, to the point where one could say it was mind-numbing to stay hidden in such a room for too long.
Having a rather cramped apartment, the swordsman didn't mind the all-white decor that reached from the ceiling to the tiled floors. He had to admit that it was rather calming to him, especially in comparison to outside where he was constantly bombarded with all sorts of electronics and of course people. From where he was he couldn't tell an outside world existed as there were no windows and the walls were sound-proofed as probably a basic standard that Esthar held itself too. Aside from doors that lead to a washroom and a closet for any clothes, there was not much to this space.
In the main area was a normal-sized bed for one pushed against the right wall and a table with a chair tucked into the opposite wall when one walked inside. Draped across the chair was Shizuma’s red jacket and resting against it was his sheathed gunblade, Underlord as the biggest distractions the room had besides the Kamira clansman himself. He was lying on his back on the bed, right hand nestled between the back of his head and the pillow provided as his left hand rested on his chest. Blankly staring up at the ceiling, he wasn’t sure as to what he wanted to do today, or rather if he even wanted to try and leave the room.
He felt he was in a rather hopeless situation at this point when it came to getting his mind together. He knew what it would take to probably restore his memories and have a chance to seemingly move on, but that was the problem. These triggers his mind would go under would take their toll on him, despite giving him some clues as to how he was before he arrived in this…Esthar. It was a totally different place to him for some reason, despite everything looking eerily familiar. The more he thought about the way things were, it was if something had happened within the city that only he could remember. It felt like a major event though, a life-changing event that wouldn’t possibly be overlooked unless it one, never happened here or two, it occurred a ridiculously long time ago.
Shizuma recalled the people who first helped him when he literally landed out of thin air saying there was some sort of weird portal that opened up in the sky, seemingly from nothing, and there he was tossed out. The swordsman wasn’t nearly informed enough about such things happening, despite having a vast knowledge of other curious things. He could remember training for something, both his body and mind in a facility with others, but he couldn’t place where and what kind of organization it was, only that it was clearly militaristic. However, the Kamira clansman did have hope since he had shown up in a city like Esthar. He knew they were well-known for the superior technology, which meant they had great minds here who could perhaps explain to him what could have possibly happened. He had a feeling though that would be easier said than done as there would probably be a large amount of security keeping local and foreign civilians from having access to areas meant only for the powers in control of Esthar.
A sigh escaped Shizuma’s lips as he moved his left hand down from his chest, down to his pant pocket to pull out the mysterious Estharian patch he had. He held it up in the air and studied the design for a moment, trying to concentrate on it for a controlled mind trigger. After a few moments of no luck, he put the symbol back in his pocket and placed his hand back onto his chest to ponder more. Was it possible he was a part of their army? He knew he had military training from somewhere, why else would he be so familiar with his gunblade? Besides the weapon itself looked like it could only be manufactured in a city like this. Unfortunately, Shizuma could never get his brain to get those flashback spells when he wanted to. They only seemed to come to him randomly when he slept or ran into particular objects or people without warning. Either way, he knew he had to leave this room and go out eventually if he wanted to really make headway in finding answers. His spirit was more than willing to try every single day, but his mind was hesitant to feel like scrambled eggs upon every new discovery.
Her small slim hands gripped the edges of her white and red diamond hood as she took her first steps into Esthar, she had never been here before and it was a daunting prospect to be in a land so far away from home. The young princess closed her eyes tightly as thoughts and images of her mother appeared. It hadn't been too long since her mother's funeral and her coronation as Queen of Alexandria but it was a day she wanted to forget so much. Sixteen years old and already the ruler of Alexandria with no one to really guide her. Those within her court along with General Beatrix and Steiner helped but it did nothing to calm her young mind. They knew she had left Alexandria and were against it completely but they could not go against her orders now. As Garnet opened her eyes she bumped into a group of older men who of which dropped his drink as she hit him.
"Oh I'm sorry..."
In her quietest and meekest voice she spoke up and continued to pull her hood down and attempted to walk past them, until one of the men grabbed her wrist and began to drag her. She let go of her hood and grabbed his wrist trying to free herself but it was really a vain attempt. Her white hood fell from her head to reveal her face and silly enough she still had her tiara on which would attract more attention than needed.
"I don't think you realise who I am and when you find out you will be in real trouble!"
Ryun had arrived earlier in the day, well, the night before if it was to get technical. He had arrived around midnight, and had just been wondering around the place, getting to know the area. He had no idea where he was, he had travelled in a random direction since he found himself washed up in Galbadia.
He had travelled where his feet wanted to go, hoping to see something, or someone, that might jog his memory. However, so far, not even a inkling of his past snuck back into his mind, he could not even remember his name. All this did was frustrate him to know end, which, in all fairness, was not surprising as all.
Spending some time in a sheltered area, since, he could not afford accommodation, not even at the local inn. He had found an area on the outskirts of the city where he could sleep and just gather his strength before moving on. He did not mind this, he had not real problem sleeping outside, he had done this for as long as he could remember, which, is not saying that much actually.
As he was resting with his back against the wall he heard a little commotion nearby. He opened his left eye and grumbled a bit before standing up. When he stood up he had to hunch a bit, since, he was too tall to stand up fully in an area were a normal sized man could have easily stood. He grumbled a bit more before stepping out.
The reason why he had stepped out was simple, he wanted to know what the hell was going on. He was thinking, maybe he could deal with the situation and go back to resting some more. However, as soon as he saw what was happening that idea soon left his mind. His eyes showed a great deal off annoyance in them as he saw the older guy manhandle the young woman.
Not even stopping for a second he walked over to them, his long strides being one to three of a normal man’s. He did not even think for a second he just grabbed the man by the scruff of his collar and lifted him up, making him dangle there like a small child. He made him to turn face him, so, they were looking eye to eye.
However, as he hung the man there by the scruff of the man’s collar he did not speak. He stood there glaring at the man, not even a grumble or a growl passed his lips. Never the less the size difference between the two was immense, Ryun was at least eight inches taller and his physical size was twice the man’s. In all fairness, it would be quick comical, until he spoke, “Apologise.”

Time seemed to tick along as Shizuma continued to debate with himself how he wanted to spend the day. It had been a few days since he had ventured out now as he couldn't forget how he acted and what he saw when he encountered that little girl and her friends. A part of himself was disgusted at how much this problem of his was controlling his life currently. The Kamira clansman didn't want to admit he was afraid, but he was having a hard time making an excuse for himself otherwise at this point. He couldn't recall having such a strange condition before, but then again he couldn't remember much of anything about his past except his name now either.
Clenching his teeth tight in frustration, eventually he deciding to sit up on his bed and place his feet on the floor. He then slowly leaned down to grab his boots and placed them on, tapping them on the tiles a few times to get used to the traction they provided, if not to calm his nerves. With his hands at his side, he held the edge of the bed with a strong grip as he looked at the chair which had his jacket and weapon.
'I gotta do this...' was all the youth could keep thinking to himself. He wasn't going to feel any better today by exercising like he had been doing the past couple of days. If he wasn't going to go out today, the only other thing he could do was sleep the day away and deal with those nightmares that would be sure to come.
He tilted his head down, looking towards the door as he slightly exhaled to relax his jaw. He knew if he had to pick a lesser of two evils, going out was the best option as his dreams were far too much. Some of them were simple, just re-occurring flashbacks of what he had seen during the day, but there was one he couldn't shake that always left him waking up in an immense cold sweat. Shrouded in complete darkness, and two voices...voices he desperately wanted to know the faces behind them. All he could recall from that particular nightmare was whoever those voices belonged to, they were important to him, to how he was supposed to be.
Standing up, Shizuma grabbed his left shoulder with his right hand and began to massage it for a bit to get the kinks out. Once his shoulder felt good, he dropped both his arms and began to shake them to get loose for the day followed by a few light jumps to the side to set his body in motion. It had become a bit of a ritual for him since he got this apartment, on the off chance he felt he might need to be ready...for just about anything.
Grabbing his red jacket and swinging it on effortlessly, he picked his gunblade up too and threw that on over himself, patting the strap of the sheath against his chest as he walked towards the door. As his left hand reached the door knob, he looked down at his hand for a moment and could see it was slightly shaking. Shizuma let out a slight laugh at how much of a wreck he was becoming with a smile. Taking in a deep breath, he turned the knob finally and made his way into the city.
With his hands tucked into his jacket's pockets, Shizuma mostly took as many small passageways he could as he kept his head down to avoid eye contact with others. The less people he'd run into the better he thought, at least until he had ventured a little further away from his makeshift home. It seemed like faces triggered those migraine-inducing memories better than anything else the city had to offer though, something he had to find out the hard way.
Feeling confident enough to move into one of the main walkways, the swordsman could hear a rather cute voice of a girl ahead apologizing after what seemed to be a slight altercation. Shizuma didn't want to, but he instinctively raised his head to get a look at who the voice belonged to, only to see that she had a hood covering her face for the most part. That fact and that she was also surrounded by a group of guys towering over her, complaining about a drink that had been spilled.
At first, the Kamira clansman felt nothing noteworthy about the incident until the young girl tried to make her way out of crowd, only to be grabbed rather forcefully by one of the men. His brows furrowed a bit at such an action being taken, as he saw her struggle to break the man's grasp. In doing so, the hood she was trying to keep over her head had fallen as Shizuma's mouth opened at seeing her face for the first time. He wasn't sure what he was more surprised at, her striking appearance which reddened his cheeks or the fact that it looked like she had a tiara adorning her raven hair. It felt too much like a dream to have a fairy tale-like princess appearing like this out of the blue, but all he knew was she was certainly in need of a knight!
Shaking his head to compose himself as he was about to make his advance, he noticed a very large man approach the group of men from behind at a very fast pace. Within seconds, the mysterious giant grabbed the man holding the girl and took him off his feet to stare him down at first, demanding an apology on her behalf.
'Okay...maybe two knights then?' Shizuma thought to himself as he began to make his way over.
It went without saying the friend's of that man were not too pleased by the turn of events, but it didn't matter since they were with the aggressor. Besides the only reason they had a literally bigger problem on their hands now was because they refused to let a smaller one go.
Reaching the side of the formerly hooded princess, Shizuma for some reason felt more relaxed than he had ever been upon finding himself in Esthar. The sensation was very familiar to him, adrenaline pumping at the anticipation of danger like this and especially at the chance of helping out such a cute girl no less. A devilish smirk appeared upon his face as he reached back with his right hand to grab the hilt of his gunblade. This feeling was that he was once again in his element, something he severely missed.
Watching the movements of the men sizing up the situation of dealing with the giant who grabbed one of their pals, Shizuma wagged his left finger as he could see the agitated men were more than ready to try and retaliate.
" An apology is most definitely in order! I'll let the princess here decide if it's with words...." Shizuma began in a rather cheery tone that turned eerily dark as he tilted his head with a sadistic gleam in his blue eyes with a matching smile, " ...or perhaps with blood."
He didn't want to look in her direction as he spoke, being so close his face would probably match the brightness of his jacket if he turned to face her. Yet, he wondered why his words sounded so natural to him. The Kamira clansman knew he was definitely struggling with some identity issues with his memories scattered. He didn't want to think of himself as some type of murderer, but he couldn't deny the urge he had for wanting her to agree to some blood being spilled.
His hands were gigantic compared to the princesses small frame and his grip was tightened as he pulled for her to follow him. She shook her head and protested even louder as she tried to slip her free hand under his to break free. Her white and red cloak opened up more revealing her attire underneath. Since she was travelling she dressed in her white bell-sleeved blouse which lay underneath her orange skin tight jumpsuit. She loved this outfit for the corest lacing at the front and back and the large white buckles on her thighs. Her silver pendant rubbed against the black choker she was wearing as she continued to try and break free from this ape like man. The princess tried to dig her red ankle boots into the ground somehow to give her more momentum but that of course failed.
It happened in a flash but she noticed from one corner of her eye that a tower of a man had grabbed the ape. His grip loosened and she fell back onto the floor with a thud. Her red gloves squeaked a little as she scuffed them against the pristine clean floor. Before she had chance to focus on one another younger shorter man had come to her aid as well, her eyes met his and she looked away as her cheeks began to flush a bright pink. He posed a question to her and it was only polite to respond.
"I...I don't think violence is necessary. Please unhand that man."
The princesses voice croaked as she answered him and before she could turn her attention to the man he had managed to squirm free and run off along with his friends. A pout adorned her flushed face. She tried her best to get to her feet without looking so helpless but in fact she had twisted her ankle quite badly on the way down. Through her long dark hair she glanced between the two men and started to push herself to her feet.
"Th..thank you both for your assistance. I really must be go....ahh."
The pain coarsed through her body starting from her ankle and ended in her thigh, she fell forward and grabbed the nearest thing to steady herself. Her slim fingers were hooked through the red jacket of the younger man, her eyes wandered up his body from his chest to his face. She was only inches from his face as she stood up straight with her grip still firmly attached to his jacket. Her innocent face flushed once again but a deeper shade of pink as she turned herself around taking one hand from his jacket. She reached out for the taller broader male trying to hook her hand into his clothes.
"Could you please assist me? I am looking for a place just outside of Esthar called the Sorceress Memorial. If you don't mind as well I would prefer if you didn't call me princess I do not want any attention my way after what happened in Alexandria."

Keeping his eyes locked on the group of men, he slightly laughed as they decided to opt for the flee option over standing their ground for a fight. It was a smart decision on their part, but the Kamira clansman was a little sad to not have any real combat initiated in what felt like a long time. Shadow battles he would train with in his mind could only keep his frame primed for a good tussle in only so many ways after all. Once the men seemed a far enough distance to not pull any tricks, Shizuma turned his attention back to the others, more specifically the fallen princess to his side.
Even though she didn't want any violence to occur, the pout she made as her assailants took off made the swordsman smirk. He then dropped his right hand from his gunblade's hilt to lean down and lend her a hand to her feet as she started to try and rise on her own. She was almost all the way to her feet as she began to thank Shizuma and her larger rescuer, but her face began to wince from a shock of pain in one of her legs it seemed.
With her momentum temporarily lost, she fell forward slightly into the blond youth who grabbed her left arm gently to help her stay up and regain her footing. He watched as her right hand slipped underneath his jacket for further support as her eyes slowly rose to meet his at full height. The Kamira clansman was taken aback for being so close to someone else's face, let alone a beautiful princess, yet surprisingly his mind didn't become flooded with horrible imagery. Instead, he found his visage reddening with a hesitant sigh of relief and nervous smile. It didn't help that she became even cuter in his eyes when she began to blush as well.
"I-It's a pleasure to be of service!....Those jerks are lucky that you're kind enough to let them go..." Shizuma began to stammer a bit at first, taking a pause to steady his heart and trail off in his words.
She quickly turned though to hide her embarrassment, taking her free hand from within his jacket to grab onto the giant who initially came to her rescue for more support. It was a move Shizuma appreciated as he was able to compose himself better after such a close encounter and calm himself.
As she began to speak and explain where she was off in a hurry to, the swordsman narrowed his eyes as he looked away from the two he stood with. 'The...Sorceress Memorial?' was what stuck in his mind as his brows began to tremble a bit at the near thought of such a place. His mind wandering back to his dreams or nightmares rather upon hearing such information, but those dreams still felt murky. He caught himself from continuing to think deep in thought and turned back to the princess. He hadn't thought he was that lucky to run into the real deal from Alexandria, but perhaps today things were going to be turning around for him in a positive light.
"Ahh! I'm sorry for earlier then, didn't want to blow your cover." he quickly apologized as he rubbed the back of his head with an embarrassed grin. " My name's Shizuma of the Kamira clan and if there's anyway I can be of further help, then I'm yours!" the youth proclaimed with confidence as he introduced himself.
With his free hand, the blond youth grabbed his strapped sheath from around his body and placed it around his waist as a makeshift belt to carry his weapon around.
" Would you like one of us to give you a ride to a medic station or head straight to the Memorial, Miss Gar-- I mean Miss?" Shizuma corrected himself as he pointed his thumb towards his now unoccupied back. He figured it would be best if he kept it simple, to further help her cover unless she had an alias she might want to use. The knight wasn't sure how much pain she was in either or how urgently she needed to head to the Sorceress Memorial. Also, he had to take into account if their larger ally had plans of his own to attend to.
Either way, the Kamira clansman felt he had to go along with the Princess to see that place for himself. He hadn't made it out of the city before he would be hit with a vivid memory that sent his brain reeling. Yet, he was determined to not let such a notion deter him now when he was in the midst of an important discovery and in the service of an incredibly cute maiden.
Ryun watched as the man slipped from his grasp and fled. He was not too pleased about this, he had a strange feeling this might not be over. Ryun always had a strange sense of things like this, and he would have rather dealt with them then and there instead of letting them flee. He believed, if they had the chance the cowards would return with greater numbers and it would be slightly more challenging to deal with them in that situation. However, the princess, which Ryun was surprised to find out, did not want to deal with them with violence.
Much to his chagrin he knew it was her choice to make and he would not attack them unless she wanted him to do it. So, he just stood there, not saying a word as he watched the group flee. However, as they did he made a mental note of their appearances. Looking around he did not seem to be bothered by the reactions between to other two, but he made mental notes about what had been said and what was wanted and not wanted. He did not know why, but he had a strange urge to protect the young Monarch.
When she mentioned a place called the Sorceress Memorial he had wondered why she wanted to go there. However, that inquisition soon left his mind; he felt that if she wanted to go there it was not his place to ask why. So, he stood there not saying a word to either of them. Then the other man, by the name of Shizuma, a man who belonged to the Kamira clan, introduced himself. Ryun felt a pang of annoyance, not that it could have been seen on his face. He was annoyed because of the fact, he could not introduce himself, since he did not know his own name.
As the two others spoke a question was asked whether the princess would like to be taken to a medic centre, or go straight to the Sorceress Memorial. He was going to wait for the answer to be given, however, something urged him to do something that he rarely, did, speak. Ryun, was not much of a big talker, rather, he kept his words brief and to the point, and he only spoke when he thought it was needed of him. The words he spoke were, “I will join you, mam.”
With both of her hands tightly gripping her two rescuers Garnet felt that little bit safer, although the larger man appeared to be a force to be reckoned with. Immediately Garnet began to feel a little concerned and worried. After a few steps she released her grip from the taller man and linked her arm around Shizuma's. She blushed instantly again but that was a small price to pay in case she accidently annoyed her other rescuer. You shouldn't judge a book by its cover but Garnet was only sixteen and still growing emotionally. Her ankle was slowly starting to regain some strength, enough for Garnet to stop limping as much anyway. The young princess glanced up to the taller man and then back to Shizuma as she tried to lead them to the outside of Esthar.
"Oh umm...I suppose I haven't thought of another name to be referred to whilst I am incognito. Any suggestions would be welcome..."
Her voice croaked a little in response to Shizuma, his voice soothed her anxious feelings about the situation she had found herself in. Garnet began to loosen her grip onto Shizuma and as she did her bare fingers through her fingerless gloves brushed against Shizuma's. A little almost yelp sounded out from her small mouth, the touch was electric to her and...almost addicting. Princess Garnet walked between the two men but tried to stay one step ahead so she could lead them in the correct way. Shizuma introduced himself which relaxed the mood even more for her, she was not used to dealing with the...citizens outside of royalty or importance. It would be an experience at least. Her eyes scanned up and down the larger man .
"It is nice to meet you Shizuma. I'm sorry I didn't catch your name Mr? You will both be rewarded for your kindess and services whilst you accompany me...I guess I will be needed back in Alexandria soon..."

Things seemed to be going well as the taller warrior announced his intentions to join the princess on her journey to the Sorceress Memorial. He seemed to be a man of very few words, but perhaps that was because he wasn't fond of being too attached to people. Shizuma couldn't understand why he could take that approach to royalty, but he could respect that attitude in a way. The less someone knew about another, the less trouble they would be in later on if something were to happen. It was a rather cold way to think about it, but the Kamira clansman could relate to it, which left him feeling once more lost in his thoughts as he followed the princess' lead.
It seemed every step they took closer to their destination, the youth knew that he would finally start getting some closure on his position. What was he truly like before he fell out of the sky? Was he really capable of those slaughtering images he had seen walking through Esthar and if so what gave him the resolve to do it? It bothered him, because he didn't feel like he could do that nor that he wanted some unspeakable horror to happen to innocent people. Yet, just a few moments earlier he had to acknowledge he had a bloodlust.
The large silent rescuer had the situation in control it seemed against the group of attackers. Despite that, Shizuma in seeing the princess in danger to the point where she actually got hurt...something inside of him had shut down and been replaced with a quiet but growing rage. He wanted those men to pay dearly for even daring to put their hands on Garnet. To think all he needed was an approval from her and he would have gone to great lengths to pay them back tenfold, even if that meant their lives were to be claimed. That side of himself felt separate and scary to the Kamira clansman, but he was recognizing slowly that even though he did not want it, it was still inside of him. Just biding its time for the right opportunity to present itself...
Deep in his thoughts with eyes slightly glazed upon looking forward, he gasped as he felt a warm embrace around his arm which snapped him back to reality. Glancing over to see the blushing princess use him for full support, ignited a bright flame throughout his body to wash away the cold haze of his troubled thoughts. He couldn't keep himself from smiling, especially at the sight of the princess' movements improving as well. All too often peaceful times like these became fleeting for the swordsman in the past, yet the rarity of the situation of having a royal maiden at his side was one he knew he would cherish for as long as he lived. She reminded him of someone he knew a long time ago, an individual he cared for immensely, but now was probably far gone like so many other of his broken memories.
The group was getting close to the city's edge as Garnet proposed that her two rescuers could suggest a traveling alias for her. The youth's cheeks reddened at the thought, although he couldn't think of any good enough names that would fit one of her stature. She was named after a mesmerizing gem as it was which seemed more than fitting, but he had to think of something other than that. Something more like a code name that had an edge of mystery to it.
As Shizuma pondered what name to bring up, he felt the princess' grasp loosen as her strength to walk on her own felt up to her standards. However, in her arm untangling from his, her delicate fingers brushed against the knight's which brought up an engaging chill through his spine at the bare connection. As she moved on ahead, the swordsman's hand reached out in front him as far as it could to maintain that sensation until it was forced to come back to its owner's side. His other hand rested on the hilt of his gunblade which now hung at his waist, and a name began to formalize in his head.
With the princess trying to uncover their larger ally's name and also offering a reward, Shizuma was simply honored enough to be within her service. To be her protector for as long as she needed it was the goal he had in mind with a reward solely being her safety in the end. His eyes gazed ahead at her form and looked at the crystal around her neck that matched the intense elemental look of his blade.
"I...appreciate the gesture, but making sure you get home safely will be more than enough." the youth nodded in thanks and began to say, "As for an alias, how about 'Ice'? I figured a strong yet beautiful element like that would work without bringing up too much attention." Shizuma finished with a hesitant laugh, lowering his eyes with a smile as he rubbed the back of his neck. It was an ironic choice in his eyes to go with for a name, considering she inspired the exact opposite element in him, but maybe that fact would further throw off others.
Whether it was because he wasn't sure how much their more silent ally would say, or his jittery nerves getting the best of him he continued on as he rose his head.
"I might be out of line for asking this, but what exactly happened in Alexandria?" he questioned, moving closer to the princess, " Is it the reason why you were heading to the Sorceress Memorial by yourself?" he followed with another question. He knew he might have been overstepping his boundaries, but they were questions that were in the back of his mind.
He couldn't imagine the Queen of Alexandria sending her daughter alone without some elite soldiers from their army to protect her. Unless some difficult circumstances took place where both were left with no choice in that regard. It begged a further question of what could be at the memorial that the princess needed to go see it herself. That was an answer he could wait for as he had a feeling there was something there for him to uncover as well once he arrived.
Ryun walk there in silence, trying his hardest to stay at the same pace as the other two, knowing, for the time being, Garnet needed him so she could keep the pressure off her leg. It was common for Ryun to not speak often; he had been like that for as long as he could remember.
That may sound like a long time, but, it, in fact, was not. Ryun had lost his memories, and only recently remembered his own name. The last thing he could remember was washing up on the shores of Galbadia, and nothing before that, and he found it completely and utterly maddening not remembering.
He did not remember his family, where he was from, if he had a partner, children, he could not even remember how old he was. It was frustrating to say the least, and he only hoped, with time that he would remember. He hoped that thing would come back in time, but the only thing, on his journey from Galbadia, to Esther, was his name.
However, there was one thing, a strange dream he often had. He was on a boat and he was fighting a large and very strange creature, he had almost defeated it when the creature made one last attack and knocked him off the boat. There was one more thing he remembered from his dreams, the words, Sin Spawn. It drove him mad, and hoped; one day he could make sense of it.
When Garnet spoke about not thinking of an alias, he, still, remained silent. The truth was he did not know what to say, he had found himself lacking, when it came to creativity. So, due to this he remained silent, since he had nothing to contribute. It was just the way Ryun was, he only spoke, when he thought he needed to.
However when Shizuma spoke up with a suggestion, he found it to be a suitable name. Garnet was beautiful, and he felt a strength within her that was hard to ignore. So, Ice, a strong, yet beautiful element, would be a suitable name for her. However, whether or not she accepted the idea would be a different matter entirely.
All of a sudden he was brought out of his thoughts by two events. The first of them was the fact she had removed her grip from him, which he was glad about, it meant that her leg was not seriously harmed. The second of these events was when she asked for his name, and suddenly realised he had not given it, “Ryun… Ryun Craften.”
The young princess kept her arms close to her sides, she was in no need of assistance when walking and to brush against Shizuma again would send her into another blushing spree. Although when she realised her hood and cloak still revealed her attire she quickly changed that. Her small hands quickly pulled over her white and red diamond hood pulling it as far over her head as possible. She could feel her tiara move forward slightly but not enough to re-adjust it. Garnet glanced from side to side to make sure her two new companions were still beside her, even though they had just met she did feel safer with them around. It was obvious they could handle themselves in a battle which was a good asset to have in companions
"My home was almost destroyed and my mother was murdered before my eyes. They destroyed what I had within me to summon Alexander and now I must rediscover how to do that. I thought...I don't know what I thought. I wondered perhaps a place relating to such a magical being may help me..."
Her voice was almost monotone as she answered Shizuma's question. This was the first time she had spoken openly about what had transpired in Alexandria and to complete strangers no less. She could feel the tears forming and quickly squinted her eyes to impede the oncoming water flow. As the taller broader man introduced himself Garnet smiled lightly. They were almost at the entrance to Esthar now and not too far from the Sorceress Memorial.
"It is a pleasure to meet you Ryun. I am not sure if we have permission to be there but.....Anyway well I suppose Ice could be a temporary name whilst I travel. Compared to some names I'm sure I will fit right in."

A regrettable silence overcame the Kamira clansman as he watched the princess grab for her hood and place it over her head once again. He knew the questions asked could potentially lead to darkening the mood, but despite that he wasn't quite prepared to hear what she had to say about the situation. A national power like Alexandria being attacked with their leader being slain right before the princess' very eyes was a crazy notion in the swordsman's mind to wrap his head around. Her tone as she spoke showed that she was still coming to terms with what happened, holding back her grief in order to keep moving forward on her current quest.
His teeth began to clench in anger as well as his fists tightening up, not necessarily for the plight of the people of Alexandria, but for what Garnet had been placed through to get to this point. Shizuma didn't know why, but he felt a similar horrible event had happened in his past as well. He closed his eyes and took in a deep breath to try and calm himself, but an empty sensation rapidly swept through his body when he did that, leaving him numb and powerless momentarily. He could hear the princess's words as she recited those hurtful memories of watching a loved one disappear before her, almost as if he was standing there right beside her as it occurred.
There was something else he could also see as his brow furrowed while witnessing a figment of himself ahead, surrounded by darkness. At first all he could see was the back of this figment draped by his signature red jacket laying on his knees, while holding someone close to his chest. They appeared frozen in time as a dim light faintly illuminated the two, yet the swordsman couldn't tell who exactly he was holding. Shizuma moved closer to this figment of himself, still focusing on his back until he could advance no further. It was then his figment gently leaned over to place who he was holding off of his lap and rose to his feet, still having his back exposed and blocking the face of what Shizuma began to recognize as someone who was no longer living.
His apparition turned around to face the Kamira clansman, eyes clearly red from tears that been exhausted until there was none left. Despite that, those eyes were filled with a raging hatred that demanded vengeance, not willing to accept things as they were. The figment moved closer, his steps illuminating the fallen body behind him as whispers of his first name called out in a voice he hadn't heard in what felt like years. It hadn't been a voice that plagued him in his nightmares for him to remember, but as his apparition came face to face with him, he could see her face within his own eyes. She was his childhood friend, his first love and also the one he couldn't protect despite having become more powerful.
That powerless sensation made sense now as he remembered her name as well upon looking in the figments' eyes further. Not wanting to recall anymore, he looked away only to be grasped on the shoulder by the apparition rather fiercely. It wanted to communicate a simple point, one that it knew needed no words as its eyes, though filled with vengeance, spoke volumes of determination as well. He had to work harder to be strong, by any means necessary in order to keep those he cherished safe. A lesson he had ingrained in himself that day of his first major loss, one he subconsciously had kept but now had the meaning realized once more.
Shizuma's eyes shot open with a fiery conviction upon regaining part of his memories, realizing now with that information he had done things since then. Things he rationalized as a necessary evil to go further in his ambition, which made his eyes grow cold as he reflected on what lengths he had gone to protect those he cherished. There was someone else then after his childhood friend he couldn't recall, if it truly meant those visions he had of slain Estharians were by his hand.
The youth found it hard to look to the princess now that he had a grasp for what he had become upon a traumatic event like that happening. Was she being pulled in by thoughts of avenging her people and her mother by any means as well? Shizuma wasn't familiar with the particular summon she spoke of, but figured it had to be quite powerful if someone was brazen enough to attack a nation for it.
As the silent ally of theirs introduced himself as Ryun which brought a smile back to the princess' face if only for the moment, Shizuma nodded with a sheepish smile of his own. It was hard coming to terms with the past, but he knew he had more to discover and probably another tough decision to make upon what to do next.
Listening to the princess as they made it to the edge of the city and the Sorceress Memorial being upon them soon enough, the Kamira clansman decided to share his thoughts on how they should proceed if guards were their to impede them.
"You've come too far to just turn back now because of a few guards and I have as well. They are going to let us in....no matter what." finished the gunblade wielder as he stared off in the direction of their destination. His tone filled with it's usual confidence, but also showing his desire to go right through whatever obstacle may lay ahead.

A rift like spell would seemingly open before the small group in their travel, cutting them off from a direct route to their destination. What appeared from the rift though came with a slight jingle, it's movement ringing the bell dangling from it's hood as glowing eyes peered out from under it.
Monster :: Shade
* Thisss Bell it toll's fer you all. hehhehhehe *
The creature seeming to hover in the air with only half it's body, it's spine dangling from the half of it's cloak that was shown. It's hands floating with it as it carried a mace like weapon.
* you all musssst be hea-ding in the wro-nnn-g dirrrr-ection *
it's voice shifting from a deeper rumble to a higher pitched hiss through it's words, while the bell on it's hood jingled again before the mace like weapon was clicked back to hit the bell. Letting out a resounding gong noise to vibrate the air.

Ryun was walking by them silently. He had to admit, he felt sorry for the young princess, however, if her mother had died he made him realise, she was not a princess but a queen, unless she had any older siblings to mention of, then that would not be the case.
However, he knew it might not be the best time to speak of family, because, if she did not, that could mean she would be all alone in the world, which he could relate to, since, due to his memory loss, he was alone in the world also, which made he, for some strange reason, very protective of her.
It was then he decided something, that he would protect the young monarch with his life. He who has nothing in the world, barely a memory to call his own, would devote his life to the protection of the young girl standing before him. He would become her knight, he would be her shield and her sword, and he would die before any harm would come to her.
As if by magic, the exact same moment he had decided this a rift began to open. He looked at it, and his hands, which were once hung open by his sides, clenched. He did not say a word; that was not his style; he just stood there in silence watching to see what would come out of the rift.
When the creature spoke still he did not speak. He just rested his hand on Garnet’s shoulder as he walked by her. He focused himself solely on the creature as he moved towards it, his speed picking up as he took each step. By the time he reached the creature he was at a half sprint and he smashed it with two massive blows from his hands, one from the right and one from the left.
Queen Garnet stumbled backwards as the rift opened, she grabbed her chest as it gave her quite a shock. Her hood fell backwards once again and this time she decided to just leave it down. Her eyes fixated onto the creature that emerged from the rift, it was not something she had seen before in any books. A small whimper escaped her lips as she kept moving backwards, this was fight or flight mode and she was certain she would flee. To her suprise Ryun stepped forward and saw to it that the creature was defeated in spectacular fashion. Garnet slowly walked up to his side and placed her small hand against his bicep squeezing it gently. She looked up at him with her dark eyes; she smiled lightly and then bowed slightly.
"Thank you for your assistance Ryun."
The young Queen looked over to Shizuma and as he stood there looking quite confident and manly she felt her cheeks burn up and flush bright pink once again. Even though her heart was beating fast she found her feet moving on their own; she was walking towards him and for some reason she couldn't stop herself. In a polite gesture and perhaps something slightly more she gripped Shizuma's wrist a little harder than she grabbed Ryun's bicep.
"I still have a bad feeling about this....maybe we should go?"

Although the traveling trio seemed to have a clear path out of the city of Esthar, that soon changed as a strange rift began to open up out of thin air. Shizuma narrowed his eyes at seeing such a phenomenon occur and pondered for a moment if this was what it looked like when he had arrived in the city. This rift was much closer to the ground and what followed was the sound of a bell ringing before a bizarre creature began to emerge.
Its tone as it spoke matched the reverberating sound the bell on its hood made, announcing it's intentions of starting trouble. Despite it looking quite menacing, it was still a relatively small creature and it was outnumbered by the three of them. The swordsman was not worried at all upon seeing it slowly hover over to the group as he reached down to grasp the hilt of his gunblade, waiting for it to be in range before he'd draw his weapon and strike. Yet, his intuition of the creature not being much of a threat to the three of them couldn't be more true.
The Kamira clansman's eyes looked over to see Ryun place his large hands on Garnet's shoulder in a reassuring manner. He moved in front of the group effortlessly to meet the creature, just as silent and efficient as he had done before to come to the young queen's rescue. Shizuma's eyes widened at seeing Ryun connect with the magical being for a powerful one-two punch combination that sent it reeling in defeat. With his free left hand, the youth scratched the back of his head and raised a brow at how easily their opponent had been dispatched.
As the danger had ceased to exist, Garnet walked up to their giant ally and grabbed his arm as she thanked him sincerely. Shizuma had no doubt in his mind that Ryun was a strong individual, one could tell that just by looking at him, but to see the power he contained first hand was still very impressive to say the least. It left the gunblade wielder feeling a bit left out of the action though, but he was sure at the rate things were going trouble was soon to find them once again at some point.
His eyes met with the young queen's as she looked over in his direction with a blush, an action that he responded with a grin as he dropped his left hand down to his side. As she approached him and grabbed his wrist firmly, his cheeks took on a rosy shade themselves subconsciously. Her words of concern as she spoke made him nod as he had no problem with moving on from the area, just in case another creature would summon itself on the outskirts of Esthar.
"Let's be on our way then." he replied, placing his free hand over hers in a calming manner and then looking ahead to their silent ally. "I don't think you'll have much to worry about from here on with Ryun and myself at your side, not after that impressive performance." he finished with a joyous laugh.
There didn't need to be much words explained to Shizuma on how Ryun felt at the current situation at hand. He was a man that relied on his action over his words, and how quickly he moved to protect Garnet rang loud and clear for the Kamira clansman. All the youth could do at this point was wait for his chance to back up his own words and prove his devotion to defend the queen as well at a later time.

Shade :: Defeated
As the monster was cut down before it could even remotely start it's task, the others seemed to start planning their route away. The body of the Shade slowly burning away leaving only a scorch mark on the ground, the rift still open as a ripple crawled from it's center. not even a second more as the Shade faded did a roar pierce out from the rift, a blast of warm but rotten breath flowing with the sound as it reverberated the air.
Within the next moment claws pressed out through the rift as if gripping it's edges. Seemingly tearing the rift open larger and larger, till it was more then five times bigger now. A leg moving out from the rift followed by another and the head of the beast as it growled and thrashed, stretching the rift open as it slammed a clawed paw down before the trio. Another Roar escaping it's maw, it would fit it's self out as more rifts opened all around the group leaving only enough area for them and the beast.
Monster :: Water Elemental Fenrir
The beast once free of the rift stood looking down at the group, it's tail thrashing back and forth when it licked it's chops, growling lowly, Saliva dripping some from it's fangs seeing the morsels before it's self. Lifting a large paw and slamming it to the ground before them, causing the ground to rumble and crack under the force as Water would splash up around them each.
Ryun looked down when he felt Garnet squeeze his bicep. When she thanked him he did not say a word, he just simply nodded. He did not speak, not because he was ungrateful, it was just, he was a silent type at the best of times, but have a beauty like Garnet hold him like that, make him feel a little bashful, not that it could be seen on his usual, almost emotionless expression on his face.
He stood there in silence and tried his best to, after the nod, to show his gratefulness of the thanks, smile. It was a small smile, but it made him look years younger. In fact his smile actually made him look as young as he was. Most people were very surprise by the fact Ryun; he was in fact only eighteen years old. He did not know this of course, since, even his age was lost to him due to the toxin of Sin.
When Garnet went over to Shizuma he did not watch her. He turned his head to watch the rift, he was pretty sure it was far from over. He knew there was little chance such a weak creature would be the only thing to come out of the rift, and he wanted to make sure the rift would close before they continued on. He got a strange feeling that the beast that might come out of there would have made the one he had defeated its chew toy.
As the rift started to shift again he walked over to Garnet and Shizuma. His long strides made short of the distance between them. When he reached the other two he placed his hand on the young monarch and looked at Shizuma, “Go, I’ll guard Ice.” With that he turned so he was in between whatever would come out of the rift and Garnet. However, he positioned himself, so it would not impede her view, just in case she had to move quickly.
Now, not many things made Ryun pause for thought, after he was a Behemoth in human form, but what he saw slowly clawing its way out of the rift did. He had never seen anything like this, and he was afraid. Ok, he was not afraid of the beast itself, he was pretty much fearless, but, he was afraid that his strength might be not enough to protect Garnet. He did not want to admit it, but the creature; it might be too much for him.
He did not look away from the creature as he spoke, “My lady, stay back.” It was pretty much always hard to tell what Ryun was thinking or feeling from his facial expression, but the urgency in his voice spoke volumes. He had vowed to protect Garnet and protect her he would, but, he did not know how to go about it. With the last creature he knew he could defeat with his might alone, but, this creature looked like it might be stronger than him.
Not moving a muscle even when the creature smashed its clawed paw on the floor he was not exactly 100% sure about what to do. However, from the clawed paw slamming on the floor he realised what was about to happen. Ok, not exactly sure, but he was no fool, he knew an attack was about to happen, and he would do whatever he could to defend the young monarch to the best of his abilities, until the beast was dead or he had died trying.
Suddenly he saw the water coming from the ground and he could not help but grunt. The creature was a beast of magic and Ryun knew in an instant this could mean the end for them. He was not skilled in the ways of magic, ok, he knew a little, but, that might not be enough. He stood there thinking hard and fast, trying to make sure he could dodge and make sure the princess would be out of harm’s way. He had to admit, it was hard, thinking this fast on his feet, well, he had never been faced with a situation like this, not to his knowledge at least.
As the water started the move more violently he knew the time for thinking and planning was over. He knew that if he had a hope of blocking or evading the attack he would have to act then and there. He was not agile, not by any means, so, he knew there was one thing for it. Just before the attack hit he took one large step back, quickly, but at the same calmly as he could. He watched the water erupted nearly in front of him, but his almost emotionless expression did not change.
Stand there looked kept his eyes on the beast as he spoke once more, “I’m sorry Ice, Shizuma will need help.” With that he stood up to his full height and focused his energy. As stated before, Ryun knew a little magic, one spell for that matter, and he knew it was time to use it. As he focused the air around him seemed to stir. After was seemed like a short time something happened, if it was possible, his muscle grew even more. He then looked at the princess and nodded before he went to help Shizuma.
Charging in in his usual slow build up style he went in for that attack. However, instead of launching into a massive punch he did not stop, not for a second. As he moved in he tucked himself behind his shoulder as is he was some player from an American Football team, well, if someone was geeky enough to understand the reference, a Blood Bowl Team. With the momentum he smashed into the creature with a massive shoulder barge.

Very little time had passed from Shizuma laughing at how easily he avoided another potential battle, before the rift begin to ripple with a piercing howl emitting from it. His chuckle turned hesitant as well his smile being changed to a look of shock at hearing such a thundering sound breaking the silence. Moments later, a dangerously clawed paw cut its way through the dark doorway and found itself settling on the edge of the gateway, with a matching paw settling on the other side.
As the two pulled further apart from one another, effectively doubling the size of the rift upon every push, the Kamira clansman's eyes widened at what kind of monstrosity was attempting to break through. All he could tell was that it was ridiculously large to have to make such an accommodation to try and fit through the portal, but once it's vicious head emerged with another threatening howl, the swordsman knew the trio were now in for a tough battle.
He instinctively moved forward as he let go of the young queen's hands gently to place himself as a second barrier behind Ryun to distance her from the gigantic wolf further. Once the beast had broken free from the dark domain it once was in, other rifts of equal size had sprouted up all around them, essentially locking the four of them inside a magical cage. The creature towered over all of them in a menacing fashion, baring its fangs and staring hungrily at the trio as if it dared for them to try and resist a fatal outcome.
Shizuma's face had become stoic for a moment as it watched the wolf thrash it's tail around in anticipation to attack. The gunblade user could tell he was in over his head as he narrowed his eyes once the wolf locked onto him for a few seconds, scanning its potential meals one by one. With his right hand over the hilt of his weapon, fingertips slightly tapping the handle in nervous spurts, a smirk began to trace the youth's lips. He took in a deep breath and exhaled as he was aware of Ryun moving closer to him and Garnet, but only through his peripherals as his focus lay intently ahead at the obstacle before them.
He could hear his normally quiet ally command him to move, which Shizuma nodded quickly with a scoffing laugh, lowering his body into a sprint to create some distance away from his allies. It was a smart idea to make it harder for the wolf to get them all at the same time in one effective line, but the Kamira clansman had a feeling their adversary was more than capable of striking them all no matter where they were. Its immense size coupled with the fact that it was a wolf, a beast that would normally be quite agile, kept Shizuma's grin firmly intact, if not widening at the madness of the situation.
He relished an opportunity such as this with his own life clearly on the line. It was beyond thrilling in trying to think of a way to take on this challenge, but he had to keep in mind the fact that it wasn't just him trapped in this wolf's cage. Unfortunately the new queen was in just as much danger as he was with Ryun, and although Shizuma desperately wanted to shield her from harm, he knew his odds of being successful in that regard were definitely stacked against him. He recognized Ryun as having the greatest chance to cover for Garnet and withstand a few blows, but for how long could he keep that up?
The only way the blond knight felt he could prove useful in this situation was to give support to his allies and be a distraction for the beast in some manner. Unfortunately, escaping seemed to be out of the question, but he had to keep focused in finding any kind of opportunity that the trio could perhaps capitalize on and put the battle in their favor.
Eventually the giant wolf stopped sizing up it's prey and lifted one of it's large paws of the ground, only to slam it right back down to the ground. The tremor from the impact seemed powerful enough in its own right, but waves of water emerged from underneath the beast's palms and spread out to all three of them. Shizuma gripped the handle of his gunblade and crouched down a bit as the wave came crashing towards him, eyes narrowing as it inched ever closer.
Springing upwards to jump over the attack, the Kamira clansman landed back on the ground with a splash as his boots caught the water receding back from hitting rifts that locked them all in. It was clearly testing them, giving the trio a small taste of what it was capable of as Shizuma was not phased by the gesture. He had trained himself to not be panicked in situations like this, but his concern for his teammates was heavily wearing on his psyche.
Once he looked over to see Ryun moving in for an attack, Shizuma quickly looked over to the young queen and raised his left hand in her direction. Using the only magic he could currently recall, the swordsman cast Haste on the former princess to give her a boost in speed. Dropping his left arm, Shizuma's right hand continued to tap the hilt of his weapon Underlord, deciding not to draw it just yet as he watched Ryun finish his first strike.

It was terrifying to be sure and a creature that Garnet had not seen in any books or heard of. Her eyes flicked over to Ryun who called out to her before he moved in front of her. He was really putting himself in danger which was something Garnet never liked but she understood the need that some felt to protect the ruler of a country. Whether that was the reason or not she couldn't say and she didn't have time to think as the rift creature began to use an attack.
Queen Garnet was unsure of what would happen until she saw the water begin to form. This barrage of liquid was going to hit them unless they all moved and fast! The young Queen swiftly moved out of the way in such an unlady and unfashionable way. She turned her body to the right and basically jumped out of the way, she was not the most gracious of fighters. She wasn't even a fighter! Queen Garnet had used most of her knowledge and training to actually help those by her side. The water narrowly missed her which made her heart skip a beat. As the young Queen was jumping out of the way her mother's face flashed to her mind, it brought a tear to her eyes to think of her and how she had died at the hands of an evil witch. A witch who proceeded to crush the majority of her magical nature to summon the great protector of Alexandria.
This was why she had travelled outside the walls of the country. Queen Garnet hit the floor with a thud, she brought her hands in front of her so she would land on them and not her face. She looked up to the creature once again as she slowly got to her feet. Her breathing was heavy and laboured she felt very out of shape and really she was. Confined to Alexandria Castle to simply sit there and look pretty, her only training was learning to act like a Queen in preperation to ascend to the throne. Garnet slowly got to her feet and shuffled over towards Shizuma and Ryun when a bright light surrounded her, she felt a new sense of life within her which caused her to grab the clasp holding her cloak together. She pulled it from her neck and threw her cloak to the ground. Her full attire could be seen now and her weapon, she quickly pulled her Stardust Rod from the holster on her back. She brought the rod up in front of her and glanced over to Ryun. He had taken the full brunt of the water attack which was honourable indeed. Garnet held out her rod and closed her eyes, she focused all of her attention onto Ryun. A white light showered down from the heavens to cure what wounds had been been inflicted onto him during the attack.

Even as the beast was hit firmly by Ryun, causing it to step back and up somewhat. He would drop back down growling loudly, swiping a paw across the ground to directly hit Ryun with enough force to send him rolling across the ground and into Shizuma. Snorting outwardly and kicking up a small bit of dust, the beast would stand up more strait. It's tail lashing around more slowly now, licking out along it's muzzle and looking at the Princess as she had healed her companion. The Monsters vision had locked onto Garnet this time around, sniff sniffing at the air as it stood. It would begin to circle the area, stepping in large strides around the trio before lifting it's tail somewhat, digging it's claws into the ground once more and roaring at them. It's attack this time directed at Garnet as Watera was used. The rush of water soon enough exploding up up from the ground.
Watera used - 100
It had smelled a difference in Garnets Magic from the others who were with her, and that made her the tastiest morsel the beast could imagine now.
Ryun tucked his arms into his chest as the swipe came, but even then the force of the swipe sent him backwards. However, due to Ryun’s natural size and strength the swipe did not hit him hard enough to get him off his feet, or actually do any damage. Never the less, when the swipe came he skidded far backwards across the ground.
When he had skidded far he manage to hit the breaks. He looked behind him and saw, if he had not acted at that time he was have been sent backwards in to Shizuma. He looked at him for a moment or two before nodding. He then turned back to the creature, who had just attack Garnet, and anger grew in Ryun’s belly.
Without even a second thought he moved towards the creature in his usual style slow speed picking up into a run. The reason why he did this was, Ryun was large, tough, and strong, but, he had a poor ability when it came to acceleration, so, he needed to do this to pick up a head of steam, which gave his attacks more of a punch, pardon the pun.
He reached the creature with relatively quick time. Just before he reached the creature he pulled back his right arm as far backwards as it could go before, when he reached striking distance, sent a massive right punch straight at the thing, and in the same, motion stepped backwards with his left side and used his left fist to do another devastating blow.

The young knight could tell by just looking at the giant beast that his attack would not be enough to bother the creature. He could guess that simply by how much for Ryun had put into his shoulder charge and punches and how well the wolf absorbed those blows. If a strong warrior like Ryun had trouble putting a dent into the creature, Shizuma knew his fate had been resigned to support and as a distraction for the others. However, the youth wasn't one to give up without at least trying to do something.
The wolf had swatted it's large paw at Ryun, attempting to knock the warrior back into the Kamira clansman, but he was able to take the hit and slow his movement backward by skidding along the ground. Shizuma wasn't too concerned with them colliding, mostly because frustration was building in his mind. However he knew the best opportunity he had now was to give his silent ally a speed boost as he had done the young Queen they wished to protect.
Reaching out his left hand towards Ryun after the knight had rushed forward to strike at the wolf once again, he casted Haste to aid his ally. Unfortunately in the process, the wolf seemed to be targeting Garnet, an action that greatly bothered the blond as he clenched his teeth and finally drew his gunblade. Once Ryun backed off to prepare for his next move, Shizuma rushed past him and jumped into the air to try and strike at Fenrir's snout.
While in air, he pulled his right arm holding Underlord to his left side for a full horizontal swing to hit the wolf, but as he connected there seemed to be a barrier surrounding the beast. From his attack, Shizuma bounced backwards and fell back to the ground with widened eyes at the turn of events. He had expected to at least do some damage, but his strike had been negated. Was this a difference in sheer power between him and the beast?
"You gotta be kidding me...." muttered the gunblade user, now realizing he truly could do nothing but become a distraction for the others. He thought he was stronger than this, but that wasn't the case now. If he could do nothing else, he could use his body to try and shield Garnet as best he could, but who knew how long he could hold out from a full on attack like that.

{Turn 1:She was distracted and it cost her. Queen Garnet only managed to look at the creature after it had cast its watery attack. She didn't have time to move and it engulfed her. She almost found it hard to breathe until it subsided. She looked down and around herself...she was soaking wet. Her long dark hair stuck to her back as did her clothes, having a white blouse on wasn't the best choice but she hardly thought she would be thrust into battle like this. Garnet placed her hand over her heart and began to focus on her curing magic to heal any wounds the beast had inflicted on her. Even though she was still wet she was fully healed and that was all she could do in this battle. At least it was something. Her eyes moved over to Ryun who attacked the beast once again and Shizuma who cast his movement magic onto Ryun. Garnet smiled knowing that the two men by her side at this point were here to help. The next hit that came just after it had attacked Garnet was a bit rougher, almost having been hit in the same spot as before. Fenrir howled out, in slight pain and irritation only to a moment later have something else try and hit it, turning it's head to look back at the two that had taken up attacking it more. It had set it's sights on garnet though already, her scent carried a much sweeter flavor. Huffing more though as it stamped the ground, regaining it's self once more, water had started to drip from it's muzzle more. The Portals surrounding them had shank some what, all but the largest portal that is but not enough for any of them to escape through. The Beasts focus had been put on Ryun though, enough so for him to be the focus of it's next attack, crouching lower to the ground it would raise it's tail. Swaying it around before rearing up on it's hind legs, it would drop once more, both front paws smaching the ground with enough force to shake it as the largest of the magic based water attacks was focused on Ryun, only to have it use water on all three of them as a secondary attack upon them all.
Watega = Ryun 750 words needed to block both. Water :: all
The beast was surely building to something bigger as it was moving quicker with the attacks now.
As he stood there Ryun started to feel the magic in the air stirring. He did not know why he could feel it, but the air, it was stirring, and, it was almost like he could smell the magic on the stirring air. It made him feel really uneasy, but he steeled himself, getting ready for what was to come next.
There was also the fact he, somehow knew it would be strong magic. Then there was the strange feeling, that, in the same way he felt the magic stirring, he knew most of it seemed to be directed towards him. Like with the knowledge of the magic, he steeled himself for the onslaught of magic that was coming towards him.
He got the feeling, if he got hit by the magic, he would be done for, and there was no two ways about that fact. He did not want to die, he did not fear it, but, if he was not alive he would not be able to protect the queen. He did not like this, not one, bit, but he would have to believe the queen of defend herself against this magic.
Standing there he started to think. It was about the fact, that if there was a way to defending himself properly, so, he would not get hurt. He was not agile, not by any sense of the word; he used his strength and momentum to win fights. He had no particular skill when it came to fighting, and his most powerful attack was just smashing his foes with a shoulder barge.
Then there was the fact he was thinking about if there was a way to both dodge and stop the queen getting hurt. He had thought about this before, and could not think of a way. However, he was not going to give up that easily when it came to protecting Ice. He wanted to protect himself, and the queen.
However, he could not think of a way and finally realised that there was no way he could do both. He hated thinking this way, that he could not protect the queen, protect the person he vowed to keep safe, even if it meant his life. It brought up all kinds of feelings he was not sure about, however, he had to pus them aside, at least for the moment.
So, he resided himself to the fact, if there was any chance to defeat this creature, he would have to survive. It had seemed, out of the two warriors, protecting Ice, that he was the only one who could actually harm the thing. So, if there was any chance of defeating it, he would have to survive. He hated the fact he had to think that way, but it seemed that it was the only way to think at the point in time.
He took a few steps back so he was in the middle of the area where they had been fighting. He looked at the Queen and gave her a nod, and then looked at Shizuma and did the same. He was risking a lot with this next move, and he knew it. He did not like risking things, but it seemed it would be the only way.
The reason why he moved to the center was the fact he wanted as much room as he could get to do this next move. It was not the fact he was going to do some amazing acrobatic stunt, that was not his style, he just wanted as much room, so none of the attack that was about to hit him, would hit anyone else.
As he stood there he readied himself and started to steady his breath as he stuck his hands to either side of his chest. His biceps were placed firmly against his chest, with the elbows around the ribs with his hands, which were palm up and clench, pointed forward, with the elbows in a perfect right angle. He was almost ready; as he shifted his legs so they were should width apart.
The first sign of emotion appeared on his face. Ryun was a very reserved, and controlled individual, it took a lot to make him show any kind of emotion. It was not that he did not feel them; he just found it very easy to keep his emotion away from his face.
It was slightly shocking; once his face was expressionless, and within seconds it was a mixture of emotions. The emotions in his face were, anger, sorrow, acceptance, acceptance that if what was about to do, could fail and it would make this battle all but over for them, and, above all else, determination, determined that it would work.
As he finally gathered himself, readied himself, for what he had to do he looked at the creature and let out a massive, earth shaking roar. The air seemed to stir as he released all the emotion he kept inside, and the earth seemed to move. It was almost like a scene from Dragon Ball Z when they were powering up, or going Super.
When the attacks came he stuck his hands into a cross over his chest. He was ready, well, as ready as he was ever going to be. He did not like it, not one bit, but he knew, if it went off as he wanted to, it could be the final point before he let loose he next series of attacks, which should defeat the creature. With that said, the attacks, came, and he managed to, not only take the brunt of the blows but survive them.
He looked at the creature, and knew, that defensive move seemed to take most of his energy to defend against. However, thanks to the spell cast on him by Shizuma, he felt like he could push himself a little bit further. He knew it would not be the winning blow, but it could make those final blows a lot easier to pull off. Without even a second thought he charged in and aimed a massive blow with his right hand to the jaw of the creature.

The flow of the battle was clearly showing it was coming to an end soon, one way or another. Shizuma had a gut feeling that the wolf was waiting for something, perhaps stalling for an opportunity to hit them all with something that would do massive damage. He was lucky enough to dodge the first magic attack as their battle opened, but he could tell it was dangerous for him by the looks of it.
The Kamira clansman wasn't necessarily well-versed in using or handling magic, but he felt he was competent enough to use some if he had to. However, those linger feelings of him being stronger than he was became more of a tormenting taunt bouncing around his mind. If he came from another place, perhaps he was strong enough to handle such attacks and could be more beneficial to helping Ryun protect the Queen, but whatever that portal was it sapped him of that strength.
He could see a powerful blast of water magic careening towards Ryun, however he was able to escape the wolf's vicious magic attack. Shizuma observed the beast further as he regretfully, sheathed back his weapon Underlord and began to walk back to Garnet's side. It felt like a long walk as he purposely wanted to cover some distance between them, but the beast clearly didn't care what the Kamira clansman would try. It had shrugged off his attempt at an attack, and kept it's hungry eyes on the young monarch.
Time seemed to slow a bit as he reached closer to her side, reflecting on his memories as best he could. He needed to get further, to arrive at the Sorceress' Memorial and uncover more of his past, as all he could remember was his childhood friend whom he had lost. He didn't know where he grew up, how he ended up away from that home he shared with her and came to be in Esthar. All he could remember was he was trained to be better than this, tougher than this, to be able to do more in the face of adversity.
As he arrived by her side, he gave her a weak smile and turned to face the wolf who was attacking yet again. Shizuma could tell already it was that same weaker magic attack, the one he had easily avoided before and the one he could do the same again this time. However, he knew something bigger was coming and if he was going to use his reflexes to dodge it would be for that and that only. The youth took a defensive stance and as the water began to rush towards the two, he slightly turned his head to talk to the one he wished to protect.
"..I'm...sorry I couldn't do more." Shizuma spoke fairly low, but loud enough for Garnet to hear. His tone clearly filled with disappointment in himself, having resigned his fate to take the watery attack.
As the water first drifted around his feet, the wave that he had jumped over originally had swallowed the knight whole. His eyes shot open at the immense pain he felt as his vision began to blur. It was unbearably cold as he fell forward onto his right knee trying to hold himself up but to no avail. Once his knee gave he hit the ground face forward with an uneasy smile on his face. A smile that could only take satisfaction out of his facing his last obstacle head on, as he only could have wanted.

{Hit by water all} {Turn 1:The watery attack hit Queen Garnet full force which pushed back and onto the ground, it was suffocating but she knew she had to stay alive. Her country needed her! Garnet got to her feet when her eyes flicked over to Shizuma. A look of horror coated her face, it was like slow motion watching him fall to the ground. She screamed out his name as she ran over to him, her knees skidded against the damp ground as she reached his side. Her small hands pulled him over onto his back and then gripped his red coat to pull him onto her lap. A tear fell from her face onto his cheek as she placed her right hand over his heart. With all of her soul and prayer she cast her life magic to try and bring him back from the depths of limbo. A bright white light radiated from her hand down onto his heart. Life cast on Shizuma: 25% HP to Shizuma -50MP}
{Turn 2: The magic had worked but it wasn't enough to keep him going, she rubbed her right hand over his chest in a circular motion. The bright white light from before returned but much brighter this time. The magic completely healed any wound that was on his body. Garnet looked down to Shizuma and smiled, she couldn't remember being this relieved and happy to see someone. Queen Garnet bent down and hugged into his chest. Cure used on Shizuma +500 HP - 25MP}

Monster :: Fenrir
the beast growled, howling slightly in pain this time from the hit it took from Ryun. Shifting around to rub at the spot it was hit, looking up as ShizumaK tried to attack it only to get thrown back. Sneezing slightly from the tickle as it would be, the beast pawed at it's nose a few moments before shaking it's head. Standing back up it looked to Ryun once more, it's focus had been stolen from Garnet and ShizumaK for the time. Ryun was becoming a nuisance, from the pain that was starting to make it's self more known. The beast would focus on Ryun as it used another water spell, Watega soon enough moving to erupt around Ryun.
Focus stolen by the growing pain from the attacks upon it. Watega used on Ryun.
