History:
Erin comes from earth, though the time she was born and living in was thousands of years further in the future, a time when probably a hundred world wars had happened, and there had been thousands of times the human race had been brought to near extinction, only to evolve enough to live and move forwards again. Humans had both come a long way when the year markers ticked over to 3000 and kept going slowly by, Erin’s time was currently 3253 Technology at this time was both everywhere and a part of each person as much as it could possibly be. Nanites, implants and so much more, cellular computers and more all were something no human could really live without as far as they thought.
The Differences between people varied simply by what by and how they had themselves, augmented, and modified. When it came down to such modifications, Erin was a lucky one so to speak, she had herself implanted with some of the most advanced nanites money could by, having waited years longer then most did to get them, she did get anything done to her as a child, it gave her problems with other children whom were modified early on, she was seen as a void, a mute. No enhancements, no special abilities or skills, but she made up for this by training herself mentally and physically more then other kids and teens, she studied harder, and worked harder when it came to the sports. Her parents worried about her because of her seeming lack of interest or desire for modifications, implants or anything of that matter, but Erin studied, learned as much as she could on her own, even began looking up and gathering info on the different companies and there mod’s. It wasn’t until she turned 17 that she finally decided on what she wanted done, and for the amount of money it would cost she was lucky, her parents had simply saved the funds that would have been used when she was younger, investing and building a bigger savings for her, in the end she had to apply for license’s and permits from the government to get her nanites. She had to go through a series of tests, for her mental aptitude, physical abilities and the like for what she wanted, and then had to spend at least six months in a government facility doing as they wanted and being trained for her nanites before she would get them, they had to be adjusted to her personally and completely. The fact that she had waited so long to get them, and with how she had prepared herself made her a perfect candidate for these nanites, when the day came to get them implanted, she spent a grueling and painful 24 hours in surgery, having needles, stuck into her flesh from almost every direction and at every possible spot they could. The pain was unbearable, enough so that she’d pass out not even six hours in, but that was the longest anyone had ever lasted that did get them, which was very very few people. Her Nanites repaired her body once activated, as well they began repairing and fixing neural paths, muscle tissue and more within her body, embedding some in places, some making the main control chip attached in her brain that let her control all the rest.
A year and a half later after getting her mod, she had finished her basic training of the nanites, and was left to her own whims, to change, and evolve, expanding her knowledge and abilities as time went on, going on 19 at the time, she was asked to help set up a new type of engine, she’d had the knowledge to do such thanks to her mod. What she wouldn’t count on is someone from some other country not wanting that engine made, sabotaging the device so when she came back the next day to work on it, it would explode, the recurring explosion destroyed what could be said was a small city, killing hundreds, but for her being at the center of the blast, and her nanites as advanced as they were, could redirect energy and when that much energy was released from the device, it shot her forwards 4 years in age, but at the same time her nanites caused a ripple which tore her from her world, Earth and sent her to another world somewhere.
RP sample:
As it stand’s or maybe as she stood, looking out across the plain that lay all around her, the scorched ground at her feet, Erin Victoria Cross scanned the horizon for any sign of familiarity. Her nanites seemed to be temporarily out of commission from the explosion, they could repair, regenerate, and multiply if need ever be, for now most seemed to just be offline. Turning slowly around she gathered her senses before checking herself over, a pair of pants, white shirt, back over shirt, headphones and a friend music player. She would fix the music player later, her red pupil-less eyes trying to make sense of everything as dawn seemed to be on the horizon. ~ Well as good a time as any to find out where I am, I’ll have to start out the old fashioned way I think it’s said ~ and with that, she would move on, fidgeting with the seemingly destroyed music player as the headphones hung around her neck. The morning sun cutting across the plains, she wouldn’t bother paying attention to where she was going, shoes falling with crunches to the ground under her, her nanites coming back online each passing minute as she also was trying to pick up on any wireless frequency.
