Characteristics
Personality: Seymour is a highly tactical, conniving man. He is all too acquainted with death and cruelty; these aspects of his past molded his belief that the world — especially Spira — is in a constant cycle of destruction thanks to beings like Sin. Thus, we wishes to free the world's people from their never-ending suffering by becoming Sin and destroying civilization entirely. He is confident and smooth, easily bending people to his will. His entire personality revolves around this desire. He plans ahead, thinking systematically how to achieve this end. He is condescending and high-class in nature, and believes his mission is of the utmost importance. Seymour puts up a front as being a courteous, affable and chivalrous man in order to win the trust of those around him. He uses his position of power as a Maester of Yevon in the same way. However, he is really a sinister and ruthless villain, willing to murder his father and to marry a Summoner if it means becoming Sin.
Appearance: Seymour is a human-Guado halfbreed. As such, he has the general physique of a regular human, but has the light blue eyes and dark blue hair of his father's people. Also inherited from the Guados are his long fingers, thin body structure and predominant blue veins on his forehead and cheeks. His hair falls in long spikes down his back, with another spike as a bang. Typically, Seymour wears the garb of Yevon's followers, blue and black in color.

Seymour's father Jyscal Guado was the leader of the Guado people. As a great leader, he hoped to inspire and encourage friendship with the human race, and thus married a human woman. Their child, Seymour, was looked upon as an abomination by humans and a symbol of disunity for the Guados, as they did not approve of Jyscal's decision.
In order to avoid further tension, Jyscal sent Seymour and his mother away from Guadosalam, the Guado capital, to the island of Baaj. As the two of them were largely alone there, he grew very close to his mother. She, however, began to worry about Seymour's future. If Seymour remained unaccepted by his peers, she didn't know what she would do with herself.
She took him to Zanarkand and met with Yunalesca. Seymour's mother asked to become a fayth so that she could lend her power to Seymour. If Seymour could use her to defeat Sin, he would become a highly regarded member of society. Thus, she gave her life.
Seymour never came back from that.
He returned to Baaj alone, where he lived in solitude for years. He realized the cycle of destruction in Spira, and with no one to distract him, spent a decade meditating on the problem. He became lonely and reserved, but vengeful.
At 18 years old, he was called back to Guadosalam. Seymour became a priest of Yevon at Macalania Temple and served there for years. He studied magic, realizing a natural affinity he had for offensive spells.
Seven years later, he returned to Zanarkand to have his mother's fayth moved to Baaj Temple. He returned to Baaj Temple several times over the next three years. Each time, he relived his past. Eventually, Seymour hatched a plan: He would set the world free. His mother was already dead, so nothing else mattered. Whatever the cost, he would become Sin. He would eliminate life so that life could not eternally continue to suffer.
Now 28 years old, Seymour is finally putting his plan into motion. The first step? Murdering his father so that he could take his father's place as leader of the Guado and a Maester of Yevon. And it's only a matter of time before he enacts the next step.
Sample Roleplay — death of Jyscal
"I knew it would come to this."
Jyscal Guado's voice was shaking, but stern. He let out a long, pained cough and stepped back, knocking over a chair at the dinner table. He was clinging to his throat, but the poison had already been consumed. Seymour smirked cockily, stepping toward his father, his robes of Yevon dragging along the floor behind him. He got to one knee, running his long fingers down his father's cheek.
"I'm releasing you, Father," he said.
Jyscal's eyes widened. The poison was coursing through his veins faster than Seymour could have anticipated. He wanted to say some things to this man before he passed. After all, Jyscal Guado was responsible for her death. He was responsible for everything. Seymour's entire life had been building to this moment.
"Mother died because of your failures," Seymour said quietly. His face never wavered from the same stern look his father was so famous for. "Your death means nothing compared to hers."
"Seymour," he said, his hand reaching hastily to grab at Seymour's robes. He was shaking, but Seymour pulled his hand away. "You mustn't blame me. I was only doing what was best for our people."
Finally, his brow furrowed. His next words were more intense, but delivered with calm passion.
"Our people didn't need unity with humans. They needed peace. Their suffering needed to end."
Jyscal's eyes widened again, coughing again and agai. This time, it finally dawned on him exactly what his son was.
"Don't do this, Seymour."
Seymour stood, stepping back from his father's frail body. And as Jyscal struggled against the venom, Seymour watched with a sort of vague interest. When his body stopped struggling, Seymour began the Sending. As much as he wanted to talk more with his dying father, he knew Tromell would arrive soon. Seymour would explain his father suffered a natural yet tragic death at the dinner table, and that he performed the Sending before getting help so that his father would not become a fiend.
Once he had completed the Sending, he kneeled at his father's body once more, running another hand down his blue-veined cheek.
"I release you from your pain, Father."
