History:
Alec was born, a native of Alexandria. Though he was not an illustrious guard, or the child of royalty, he never felt the same deprivations that many of the commoners of the outlying townships did. Instead, he was brought up in the way of his forefathers: To be a Dragoon.
The Caronsi line was once considered rival to the Highwind clan, though only in skill. The rivalry was never one built on animosity, rather, mutual admiration.
Alec excelled in his learning, mastering every part of the aerial combat that the Dragoons prided themselves on. Some even believed that the boy himself could fly on the winds, his skills were so vast. But too soon, the boy learned that the Caronsi Dragoons did not exist simply as a group. They had a purpose:
To rid the world of the Dragons they emulated. The tradition went beyond history - the Caronsi believed that they were meant to save Gaia from the dragons that destroyed lands and homes and people. That they developed their skills to better hunt the creatures in their native environment.
In that, Alec failed. He did not share the sentiments of his family, as he found the dragons to be both honorable and amazingly intelligent creatures.
So, he was cast from his home, allowed to take only what he could carry. He took with him his spear, and wore his leathers, and took nothing else. Now, he hunts to end chaos, and to find a way to shed the light of the Dragons on the shadows of Gaia.
RP sample:
He rubbed his chin absently, wishing vaguely that he could grow at least a bit of stubble. It never actually seemed to do anything, making his face as smooth as ever. It was probably the most annoying part about being seventeen - he never seemed to look manly enough to impose... anything. He would have loved to look more mature... but that wasn't his primary concern as of right now. No, right now, he was more interested in the city ahead.
Galbadia was supposed to be beautiful at night, and with the sun setting soon, he was eager to see it from the outside, before he got in to explore it in depth. His legs dangled from a low-hanging branch, as he surveyed the city. A couple of the lights were flickering into existence, and he was rather tense to see the remainder kick on.
There was a lance, propped next to him, the point of which was currently digging in to the bark. There were a few droplets of sap pooling around it, adding a rather interesting amber sheen to the otherwise brilliant silver metal. Absently, his gaze was drawn to the setting sun, as it fell beyond the horizon. The very edge of it was still peeking over the treeline, but it, too, was disappearing. Finally, all that was left was a gorgeous - albeit fading - mosaic of color on the clouds.
It didn't take much longer for the city to burst in to life. Brilliant lights sprang up along the city, the crowning piece of which shone on what looked like a giant bridge or doorway of some sort. Gorgeous. Truly spectacular, actually. He couldn't even stop the smile that tugged up at his lips.
"Looks good to me." He mused, pushing himself so that he could stand. There was no evidence of faltering, in his stance or stature. Carefully, he adjusted the knapsack on his back, and considered. His first stop was figuring out the best place to get fully functional armor, much like his father had once worn. It had not been his size, so for now, he had nothing more than his lance.
The attire he had now consisted primarily of riding leathers, and honestly, it wasn't that great for fighting. Though, on the plus side, it made him feel even better when he jumped. He traced the edges of the bark with his fingers, until finally he touched the edge of his weapon.
"It's about time to go." He added, primarily to himself. He'd start here, in what seemed like the best place for him. Worst case scenario, he moved on. Best? He would find where he needed to go - what he needed to do - to create the changes he wished to see in this world.
He tensed the legs in his muscles, drawing strength from within himself, and the footing. It took him only a moment to lean forward, grab his lance, and leap. He shot off, lunging at an arc, and at the height of his jump, seemed almost to be flying.
