Personality:
To describe the bare minimum of this woman‘s personality, to sum her up in one word it would be stubborn. Not many people will come across a woman who‘s so dead set in her beliefs. Fang is a woman that once she is set in a decision she is not swayed by anything unless someone she values was in danger. Even then it’d take the sky falling to even remotely get this woman to consider changing her attitude. Despite being stubborn, Fang is a very friendly woman. She isn’t afraid to strike up a conversation if the situation allows it. However she is quite sensitive with certain subjects, those being conversations related to family. Fang considers the people she foggily remembers as family despite not really remembering anything about the people other than the fact that they are allies and friends of hers that she would protect.
However her protectiveness towards the people she considers family does not surpass the instinct she has for keeping her sister and counterpart safe, Vanille. Vanille to Fang is probably the most important part of her life, having grown up with the pig-tailed girl, crystallized and re-awoken with her by her side, its a wonder Fang wouldn't consider her someone important. However despite all this seriousness, Oerba Yun Fang is one heck of a flirt, not ever hesitating once shes chosen her target, which could one time be Vanille, the other time some person she meets out on a street at 'home' to any number of her friends, allies, etc. Being rather open about her sexuality makes for awkward situations for people who dont know her, even though Fang herself, finds those reactions the most amusing. On the inside though, is someone who is truly caring about those she calls friends, and family, and because of that shes not afraid to be a shoulder to lean on when someone needs it, or be a person to rant at to get rid of pent up frustration.
After all, Fang's been around for quite some time, shes been there, done that, and can talk about what she believes is the right course of action, but often tells whomever talks to her, that actions will speak far louder than the words shes told them. All in all, Fang is a woman whom is strong and steadfast in her beliefs, a good friends to those whom befriend her, a lethal enemy, and an all around genuine person.
Appearance:
Oerba Yun Fang can be described with many words, wild, beautiful, exotic. Nothing truly sums her up, at a stature of five feet seven inches, this woman is a bit taller than your average female. Atop her head is a wild mess of black hair that has three braids behind her left ear that form a larger braid. On her ears are a pair of Fang shaped earrings as if reiterating her name once more. Within Fang‘s skull is a pair of striking Jade eyes that seem to have a tendency to see through people‘s masks and look into who they are. Across her stature Tanned skin is stretched taut, with lean toned muscle beneath. Upon her left arm is a large black tattoo and on her right is a white… almost scorched mark… a l‘cie mark. Fang‘s attire is rather simple, a Black top with a black pair of shorts, is covered by an ocean blue sari. The rest of her body has various pieces of jewelry, such as a set of bangles, and necklaces.
Equipment:
A weapon Fang carries around on her back all the time, this bright red bladed lance is quite a sight to see. A very basic weapon, the huntress uses it more often for training battles than any form of real fight, as this weapon has no powers of its own... that one would think. But, this staff can separate from a whole staff, to a three section jointed staff, and then once more she can put the blades at either end facing inwards, (kinda like a safety mode for the spear)
Laani - A small Pulsian Chocobo chick that had somehow tagged along with Fang and Vanille during their original focus. Taking residence in the huntress's hip pack and making it well known that her pack was where it lived. The chick crystallized along with the rest of Fang after her focus and now Fang is relieved to see she still has her cheeky little chocobo friend to kick some ass and take some names with.

History:
Welcome to Existence ;; Fang was born Five hundred years ago to be exact, 500 long years she was a child dancing upon the shores of a seaside village. Fang doesn't remember her family very well.. most of it foggy, like a half remembered song, she did remember her mother, a tall strong woman, with a sweet nature, that nurtured her daughter during the short time they were together. Her Father, a man with a mean sense of humor, and a way with words, raised Fang to stay steadfast in her beliefs no matter what happened. However as they raised their daughter, it was evident of a few things, she was definitely not a girlie girl. (something her father took pride in), and she had a knack for hunting like you wouldn't believe. Her father had taken her on her first hunt when she was seven years old. Fang had just learned how to wield a small bladed spear. Hunting small game, she was able to bring home all kinds of small kills to help feed her village. Fang however didnt have this happy life for long, when she was nine, a wildfire burned her village to the ground, leaving only her.. With that she ran, stopping in villages along the way.. making her way to the hunting village of Oerba, where she was taken into an orphanage in a small hunting village and met her best friend to this day.. Vanille.
Welcome to my life ;; Living in the orphanage wasn't so bad, Fang has many fond memories of her childhood here. Vanille was always at her side helping her hunt, or fish or just there to go on a walk with her. Years passed, and her prowess in combat with a bladed lance only got better, there was a lance master that lived in the village and trained prospective warriors. Fang, he didnt think could measure up due to gender, but slowly as he watched her grow up, he watched her develop a close combat style that proved to be lethal time and time again. In the village she excelled in any and all duties for women, which is where she gained a serious soft spot for children. Besides being with Vanille all the time, When a mother in the village needed someone to watch kids, Fang always volunteered unless of course she was off on a hunt. The life in this village was quite fine, she was well respected, and even the leader in their village was impressed with her feats.
By her eighteenth birthday she was sent out on a test. A test that all hunters in the village were sent off to do. Bring back a behemoth. Now mind you these beasts have a very foul temper, exceedingly foul to be exact. Fang now, she was extremely picky with what kind of behemoth she would hunt. She didnt want to hunt an easy target. She was going to show up those people whom thought they were the best hunters. Finding the largest male behemoth was easy, his colors were different than the pale green of the others. This behemoth was a navy blue color with a red belly. She smirked. This was her target. Sneaking up on the large animal she went in for the kill. However the behemoth saw her and reared up, roaring savagely. A predatory glint could be seen in Fang's eyes as the fight began. The escort team that was sent with her stood a safe distance away, knowing they by right could not interfere.
The minutes seemed like hours as the battle between the behemoth and Fang was drawing to a close. Fang, worn out and possessing two deep gashes on her right arm, and the behemoth which was about to collapse from sheer exertion stared each other down. The Behemoth collapsed and Fang gave the finishing blow. Her escort team and witnesses were shocked, they'd need more help to transport the behemoth to the village. News spread like wildfire and soon a team of twenty men assisted in the transport of the large beast back to the village. Fang, walked rather triumphantly beside her kill.. but she looked at her now broken lance. The village cheered with the huntress's return and the lance master stared rather shocked. Seeing the broken lance, he walked up to the successful huntress and told her to follow him. She complied and ended up with a finely crafted Red lance, the blades curling around each other like two dragons. She smirked, this was the weapon she'd been waiting for.
Later that night, Fang was met by the leader of the village whom announced her as the head huntress. With that honor came a tattoo, that tattoo marked her as the huntress of that Village for the rest of her life. Vanille was ecstatic for Fang's return and the honor bestowed upon her, and Fang well.. Fang smiled and gave the younger girl a hug. The two sisters.. well adopted sisters had taken similar names, to represent their bond. Vanille was 15 at that time, and soon enough it was Vanille's turn for her hunt. Vanille hunted successfully, and it was that next year her life was flipped upside down.
The first Focus ;; Fang and Vanille had gone for a Walk, out in uncharted territory, however that walk ended up in the den of a Fal'cie. The two ended up marked, with the focus of destroying the enemy of that Fal'cie. unfortunately, when the woman came back with the mark of a l'cie the village was in shock. Fang, not even knowing what the heck a l'cie or Fal'cie or anything of the sort was, out of instinct to keep Vanille safe consulted the Village's head. From there the she was informed of what a l'cie was. shocked that she and Vanille had been chosen for such a task, the two left the village, with bids of luck and sad farewells. Fang personally however walked to the orphanage, and with one last hug goodbye from the matron she listened to the final words the motherly woman whom had raised her, and helped her become the strong woman she was now..
"Im proud of you. You've become a wonderful woman. Please take care of Vanille and yourself."
Fang was given a necklace from the matron, that matched the earrings she wore. The necklace's pendant was in the shape of a Fang and made from the same iridescent purple stone that her earrings were made from. With one last look at the Village the two set off to complete their focus. It was there while they were out on their own that the two became acquainted with the eidolons that would be their own for the rest of their time as l'cie. Bahamut, a beast of pure brute force, and a symbol of the woman's pent up frustration and wish to be free. That dragon like creature became a sense of support, and the same for Vanille. As the two journeyed on and finally came to the place they knew was called, Cocoon, they knew what they had to do. Fang however realized Vanille was far to scared to become Ragnarok with her, and with that she decided she would do it on her own. Fang became the creature and had shattered a huge hole in Cocoon’s shell that would always be a reminder of what horrors War can cause.
Sleeping for 500 years ;; Crystal Sleep isnt like normal sleep. Fang would tell you. Your heart and body still functioned, and the crystal gave you all the life energy that you would need. In this period of four hundred years, Fang held Vanille close to her heart, in the dreams her subconscious mind conjured. It was here that Fang realized that there was something for Vanille other than friendship in her heart. Fang had finally found someone to call family again. It was here when she began to will herself to wake up.. It took a while.. but the moment she felt the crystal fall away from her body.. Vanille was right there beside her and helped her to her feet, Fang grinned at her newfound little sister, even now they were together..
Awoken ;; Awoken again, Fang was on a mission. What mission? Finding out what that new focus was for Vanille and with that came one hell of an adventure. But that had to wait a little bit, as when she woke up, dear god she felt like she had the worst hangover she could ever have experienced. Once Fang got her bearings she spoke to Vanille because the younger girl’s mark was still active. They were going to figure out Vanille’s focus in whatever way they needed to because the clock was ticking. Fang unfortunately and rather frustratingly could not remember at all what their past focus was. The fact that she could not figure out anything about her focus related to destroying cocoon, and turning into the beast known as Ragnarok. She noted the odd behavior coming from Vanille who was insisting that they forget about this focus and leave it be. However Fang reminded the girl that she would turn into a Cie’th if she doesn’t finish her Focus.
As they adjusted to the way of Life on Cocoon, the women came across a girl passed out at the Pulse Vestige, who would later become known to them as Serah Farron, and they noticed.. Serah had become a l’cie as well. They watched over the younger girl until she woke up and headed for home. Fang then decided they would figure out their new focus by raising some hell. Therefore they would be headed off to Euride Gorge to cause a little chaos to the Fal’cie that resided there. However things did not go as planned, Dajh Katzroy somehow wandered into the area and was also branded. Being forced to flee the two women were surrounded by cocoon military forces. Fang forced Vanille to flee alone so that she could hold off their pursuers. Fang then gets away and returns to Bodhum to only end up captured by the Calvary forces under Cid Raines.
All Aboard the Lindblum, and the things that followed ;; Being brought aboard the Linblum, Fang was informed about the Calvary and the fact that they are not aligned with Psicom. Fang was rather reluctant to listen to the man. She was more than aware that she was an enemy of all the people of Cocoon and she said to him that he only captured her to give him information on Gran Pulse. Her Home. Following up with a comment about the fact that she is useless, because she is a broken L’cie. However aboard the Lindblum she became acquainted with a man known as Rygdea whom tells her that the Calvary helped her escape from Euride Gorge. Then he makes a deal with Fang to help search for her missing friend Vanille as long as they don’t get captured by Psicom.

"Don't even, Don't talk smart to me. I'm not the one who seems to be an existential contradiction."
Woah Woah Woah, talk about using huge words in a single sentence. She raised a brow at the soldier and chuckled, it still was a shock to her that she was living in a lavish mansion on a bed that looked as if it had never been slept in prior and just everything was a lot to take in. The worst part about it was there was no real person here in Archades she could call a friend. People were apprehensive about her, about knowing her. Fang had made herself look amiable, especially during that first day when the Judge Magister had found her. It wasn't work getting herself killed by being rebellious. No, not today. Fang sighed and looked at Lightning, almost apologetic. She knew Light expected to never see her again, and perhaps Light had actually had some sort of Idea as to where she wanted to go in life. Until now that was. She was a sort of abrupt interruption in Lightning's little plan. Fang then turned to the guards and waved them off so she could have at least a little privacy while they talked.
"D'ya think I planned on wakin up? It is what it is Soldier-Girl and I gotta make-do." she replied an an almost equally harsh voice. The soldier's anger had a weird sort of effect on the woman. It made her tense as well, but Fang was tense for more reasons than just Lightning appearing from nowhere. She wanted to know where Hope, Vanille, Snow and Sazh were as well. They were all family and they all mattered a lot to the huntress. Fang then motioned for Lightning to follow her. She reflected on her past focus, she was considered a monster by those people in Cocoon. They feared her for the fact that she was Ragnarok's vessel. Or at least half of it. Anything from Gran Pulse struck fear into the hearts of the citizens within the vipers nest. Except for those people in her family. Perhaps that was a part of why Fang was so attached to those who assisted her with her focus. They didn't think her a monster, and instead just thought of her as another person for that time being.
"So these are your guards, huh. So what have you been up to here, anyway? You say you're imprisoned?"
She walked slowly, stretching a bit, trying to figure out exactly where she stood in this society. She wasn't exactly a prisoner, as she wasn't being held up in some sort of jail cell and she wasnt really just your average citizen because she was under constant supervision. "Mmm.." she hummed slightly as Fang began to calculate some sort of answer. "Well, ya couldn't say Im really a prisoner.. Seein' as I get to walk around whenever I please and the Judge is a rather hospitable person. He gave me a room to stay in. I just am under watch while out here." her voice was rather nonchalant; the way old Fang spoke. Her accented drawl ringing in the square as she walked and spoke with her old friend. The guards had respected her request and walked a bit behind them as to keep an eye on Fang and this new foreign presence but, allow them time to speak and such without prying ears. How polite of them to respect that simple request. "Right now, Im jus' tryin to adjust. Y'know me and where Im from. This is nothin' like Gran Pulse."
Finally as they walked she stopped, and turned to Lightning, her features somewhat more serious again. The soldier, and someone she trusted with her life and then some was really alive and well. Her fear that she had awoken in a time where Lightning would have been dead and gone for centuries was quelled. Not to get sentimental or anything but Fang finally ignored her inner voice of reason and drew the woman into a tight hug. "Y'know Sunshine. I was afraid." she paused and drew in a breath. "Afraid I woke up in a time where you, and everyone else would have been long dead and gone. But.. I'm glad to see ya in one piece and looking well." It was a small gesture in Fang's mind. Hugs were common back in her day, and it was nothing to hug a friend or family member. But Lightning probably did not think the same way she did when it came to these things. But the contact was a short source of comfort. Something to tell her that no she was not dreaming. And as she drew away she grinned.
"So, what about you? Found yerself a nice man while I was gone? Whats happened since y'know.. Ragnarok."
