Celeste has red hair with intense green eyes. Her skin is fair, not as creamy and bright as that of an elf’s. Her body on the other hand is like perfection in the eyes of any normal mortal. Carries a pouch wrapped around her right leg that carries Shuriken, small vials of medicines, poisons, small amounts of ingredients, and bandages. Tied on her belt are a pair of Sais (her main weapon) and hidden in her pant leg is a dagger.
Personality:
Stubborn, shifty, flirtatious an seductive nature, can at times get kinky just to mess with people (or not), harsh, witty, very cautious/alert and watchful, can be sweet at times but only if it is for her own benefit, likes to have fun, doesn’t like it when others tell her what to do-unless it’s for a job. She is cocky and sometimes vulgar.
She gets angry when she is called names, such as “half-breed”, and finds it harder to control her anger due to her human blood. Her biggest weakness is animals. <3
All that being as it is, on the inside, she yearns for a rightful place, to not be the way she is, and to learn how to live life. Even though she’s extremely flirtatious and sells her body, she would only sell her heart to someone she truly loved. All of this is a wall she has built up. She is, in fact, very sensitive and kind, but refuses to let that show unless broken. If someone if anyone could, get to really know her; she would be a sad, kind somebody with a bad past in search of herself.
History:
Celeste was born in Midgar into a very poor family in the Slums. She was the youngest among 12, the oldest being in his twenties. Her mother died at Celeste’s birth and her father blamed the girl for the death, as do all of her siblings. Her father was a harsh, bitter man since the mother’s death. And naturally, she blamed herself too.
Celeste was not even her daughter and he knew it. From the looks of Celeste’s slightly pointy ears, he knew the man was not even a man. The mother was having an affair with an elf that she fell in love with, but no one ever found out who it was or from where he was from. He often tells her this, calling her a Bastard child and many other profanities.
Back then, her father was sick from an unknown disease and fragile, and thus couldn’t do any work. Because of this, all of the kids have had to take care of him, but also pull their own string and fend for themselves. Her family has a bad reputation of thieves, troublemakers, etc they are all treated badly by the community of the Slums. “ ‘Avalon’ trash,” they called them. They never did get along with one another. Except for when it came down to messing with Celeste.
An older brother of hers showed more kindness to Celeste than anyone ever did by at least taking care of her as an infant, but left her alone at the age of 4, old enough to walk and talk. She was practically cast away from her family, not one of her siblings bothering to care, and not a friend in the whole world. It was not a big deal to the people of the slums, since they had no clue she was part of that family, Celeste not looking a thing like them. The children of the slums also shunned her because of her elf like features and always wanted to fight her. She got beaten up a lot simply because she didn’t want to fight and didn’t even know how.
She survived by begging to the rich, stealing from them AND the poor, but anything she got her hands on was barely enough. Bethatasitmay, her being an elf human hybrid, she was able to survive with her keener senses, endurance/stamina, and being able to resist extreme conditions and temperatures. As she grew older, she got better at being able to steal without the other’s notice and got away with just about anything she stole. At the age of 6 she began to steal books.
She taught herself how to read and write, and even fight. Celeste had even read up on magic the day she found she could heal as easily as breathe, but never followed it up as her chosen field. As an elf-human hybrid, she was able to draw upon her elf heritage and learn a spell or two.
Then one day, when she stole a book that dealt with fighting with weapons, she started stealing weapons. She trained herself constantly with the weapons she stole, most of which consisted of daggers, and throwing knives, short swords and other small weaponry. Things of no real value and that no one would really miss. Then she sought books of more importance. Soon, Celeste was well versed in lock picking, toxicology, rudimentary alchemy and brawling, and tactics of the elements of surprise. She pushed herself to excel in this field, to hope that success will help her fit in, or to spite those who consider her inferior…
Growing up, she aged just like any other human did, but when she reached her late teen years, that process slowed. The seclusion and persecution got worse, and she made a difficult decision, or maybe not so difficult. She decided to travel. She left, taking any job she could, anywhere for any pay, she did just about everything. Body guard, assassinations, hired mercenary, hired thief, you name it. Her first kill was difficult. Her elven blood helped her conceal her feelings well, but not well enough, because of the human she still was. But soon, she polished her inner emotions and killing became easy. Tricking people with her beauty and drawing them into sex was an especially easy method for this. Men and their testosterone…
She travels all over, and is hard to find because you never really know where to find her, but for some reason she finds herself coming back to Midgar time and time again, never knowing why.
Weapon:
She could use any variety of weapon she wanted. For example, if she were in the middle of a fight and lost her main weapon, she could grab random items such as a stick and make it deadly, or maybe even the enemy’s weapon that she could steal, although it would have to be light.
Main weapon: Celeste discarded her Old Twin Sai for new Magical Twin Jade Long Daggers/Blades; Emerald Fangs. Left blade Steals .50 health and adds to her own health every hit. Right blade, has Regen effect every two posts.
Celeste created a makeshift black Bracer assassination mechanism. This item is a bit complicated. It had a springing mechanism that would make the blade spring out, its opening and closing system activated by a sort of ring that was attached to it and went on your pinky finger when pulled in a certain manner.
Item possession, status- equipped: Madam's Eyeliner [ Equipment]
During battle, a flash of the eyes, and a wink in the right direction can cause even the hardest of men to stagger looking at the epiphony of beauty before them. The madam's eye liner has somehow fallen into your possession, and the tales of its legend are true. During combat the owner of the eyeliner, after doing a suggestive pose, or wink. Can stop the attack of an opponent without having to exceed their word count. Note however this only works three times in the one fight.
Ancient Ring of Aegis-
special ability: Permanent reflect & Magic enhancer.
description: It would render any spell or magical ability just to bounce right off. The Ring forms a barrier over self and people Celeste is linked to, that allows us to use magic, but reflect all outside spells. This is constant. Can only be broken if ring is removed.
Magic booster: any said magic spell to go up to the maximum level. When used, must wait 3 posts to be used again.
The ring will only work for a fair maiden with elven blood residing within her.
background: The ring was crafted long ago by the Elvish Sage, who wanted to protect his beloved wife from harm from rival mages. When she died from a sickness, the ring was said to be lost in time. Until now. Found by a young girl, on an assassin's mission in alexandria. She had to dive into a well to escpae the guard. When she was in the icy cold water, she spotted something gleaming in the water, like a precious jewel. She quickly pocketed it, and when the coast was clear, became in possession of the ring and left.
In alexandria, there was a lover who wanted to buy his fiancee a ring. So he went into a pretty shady ring shop where he found the little spectacle, A beautiful golden ring embroidered with tiny emerald gemstone around the main stone in the middle which was a smooth berma Ruby gemstone, and it was brilliantly gleaming with magic. Unfortunately, she being cruel and bratty, hated the token of love, and threw it into the love in a fit of rage. The man was broken hearted and as he sat beside a well one day, staring into the ring, he threw it down into the dark, somber waters of the well.
The young girl went home, excited for the precious ring she found. SHe knew it was special. But when she put it on and she fought with it all that time, nothing happened. The ring was meant for a fair maiden with elven blood residing within her. But she did not know this. It is said that at the moment of the girl's death, the ring sealed away her abilities and therefore, was lost in battle. She died.
Her father was a master swordsman. At the knowledge of his beloved daughter's death, he was most broken hearted. The only thing that came back was the ring. He carried the ring with him at all times. He gave up killing and sword fighting and began to simply forge weapons. He put in some study into the ring aswell. He understood why his daughter died. She was not the proper person to be wearing such a ring. It killed her.
Decades later, there was a young girl fighting for survival on the rough and terrible streets of the slums. She was made fun of and beaten a lot because she was an elf. Including her brothers and sisters. It was sickening to him. She was not fully an elf, but it was because the dominat trait of her elvish features, that is all that was needed. He had knowledge of the girl's mother, whom was the best friend of his precious, deceased daughter. He would help out the girl from time to time, although she was fully bold and intependent, and didn't trust the weapons forger, but as time went on, she began to see that he meant no harm and opened up to the man. But never too close. He was the closest thing she had to a real father. He watched her grow, and his dispair was vanishing. She reminded him so much of his own daughter.
One day, because of his great skills of weapons forging and powerful weapons he created, he becacame a wanted man in ShinRa. Celeste helped him go into hiding. The man was very grateful. He was the man who gave the girl her weapons. he had given her a regular old pair of Sai, his daughter's first weapons, but he believed she needed something better now. She had asked about obtaining better new twin blades and he had just the thing. Before his daughter's death, he was forging twin blades made out of Jade for his daughters upcoming birthday, but her death came beforehand. He would give these to her. Celeste had already paid up. Even though he would have given them to her for free. The left blade Steals .50 health and adds to the holder's health. The right blade, has Regen effect. But in his heart, there was more. He put the ring in along with the gifts. He was so sure. Absolutely sure, the ring would work for her.
One night as she was passing by his hiding spot. He called out to her. She came. He gave these to her that night. He saw that in her eyes, she saw the importance in these things and took it to heart. He was glad. That night. He died. He was old. He did not look it, but he was. He died that night, a happy old man. Celeste would come there again someday and find his body, or his corpse. The hidden weapons, she knew what to do with them, who to give them to. Celeste would keep his medium greatsword. It was his wish, and she knew this to be so.
Combat Abilities:
Slots are determined through race and class. If class or race doesn't add any additional slots then the base number is 1. Combat abilities are abilities that deal physical damage ( minus strike) or weaken the opponent in some way ( power break). Combat abilities are created by you. At the start you may only create a level 1 combat ability( ies) - unless you are a Lucavi-. Each level of ability is stronger than the last. Level 1 being light damage, Level 2 being Medium, and level 3 being strong. Level 2 and 3 abilities can only be obtained by upgrading your current ones with gained experience.
Level 1 Slots
-Serpentine Lightning Strike: She'd just dart around, stabbing slicing and dicing before the enemy knew what hit them.
Agile Angel
Description: Celeste relaxes and concetrates focusing on her defenses and her speed. She now moves at the speed of someone under the influence of Haste, and her defence rises by .25 for five turns for protect. When someone hits you, it only does .75 damage in PVP battles for five turns. 10% more words to dodge Celeste, 10% less words to dodge attacks of others. (lvl.1)
Level 2: Hastara and Protecta
Level 3: Hastaga and Protectaga
Agile angel > alegretto archangle > Vivace Valkyrie
-Phoenix Rave: Deals elemental magic damage based on what magic she uses during attack (including on her weapon). An incredibly fast forward lunge where Celeste runs past, almost completely invisible to the enemy (and untrained eye) as she does so because of the speed, but not completely, and damages enemy in range, she can strike with any equipped weapon(s). She can do this up to three times at once at the enemy flashing back and forth. At level up she can add three more times to it. Also for every level up, the lunges become faster and stronger up to 3X. Can also be used for running fast.
Sneak: Celeste becomes invisible to the enemy, but not completely and only lasts up to one minute. After use she would not be able to use it again until five minutes go by. Her shadow would be visible. At leveling up, the shadow can be made invisible so that she can be completely invisible and for longer periods of time, like three to five minutes. She cannot attack during use at level one, but at level up, she can.
Viper’s Venom
Description: Using a potent vial of poison, she coats her blades in it and speeds up to her enemy stealthily slicing them with the poisoned blade. The poison keeps the Opponent from healing for 2 turns.
Level two: Keeps opponent from healing for five turns.
Level three: the poison is unhealable unless extracted from the blood somehow.
Viper's Venom > Lamia Venom > Basilisk Venom
Celestial Maiden: By focusing her power on her summon Fenrir, Celeste can bring forth the celestial wolf's powers into her own body. Celeste's appearance changes slightly to represent this, her eyes becoming white as the moon, and her hair darkening to blue-ish black while a blue-black aura radiates from her. While in this form, Celeste absorbs all wind element damage, and all of her attacks have an added wind element effect. In addition, this ability grants a 10% increase to Celeste's word count, with an additional 10% with each consecutive turn, capping off at 50%, and then dropping back down 10% each turn until the word count bonus deminishes. In other words, this ability lasts for 9 turns, with a 10% bonus the first turn, 20% the second, all the way up to 50% on the fifth, and then 40% on the sixth, back down until the 9th turn, when the ability wears off. Because of the nature of this move, she can only use it once per thread, and cannot use her summon in the same thread that she uses this ability.
Level 2 Slots
Sneak (LVL. 2) - Celeste becomes invisible to the enemy, but not completely and only lasts up to five minutes. After use she would not be able to use it again until five minutes go by (about three posts). Her shadow would be invisible but a little bit sillouette of her can be made out if you're actually concentrating on that spot. Can attack only one time. At level up her sneak ability becomes flawless and she can attack multiple times and can use other magics.
Allegretto Archangel
Description: Celeste relaxes and concetrates focusing on her defenses and her speed. She now moves at the speed of someone under the influence of Haste, and her defence rises by .50 for five turns for protect. RP SAMPLE:
Celeste sat on a boulder at a fork on a dirt road. It seemed as if it was in the middle of nowhere. The tall grass swayed in the wind, the birds chirped merrily in far away trees, the sun tickled Celeste’s fair skin, but strangely she felt cold, and goosebumps appeared up and down her arms. She waited. What was she waiting for? Her job. She leaned back on the rock and threw her head back, her red hair dancing and whirling in the wind. She closed her eyes and listened.
In the distance, somewhere before the fork in the road, heavy footsteps can be heard advancing, getting louder, going at a steady pace, whistling some tune she didn’t care to know about. A smile crossed her faultless lips.
She stood up, placing her right arm on her right leg and leaned against her left, the other leg lying across the boulder, her foot touching the soft grass. She did this just as the stranger walked up. He was in his twenties, the perfect age; the perfect victim. She was happy to have gotten a job like this. He was handsome; almost too handsome to kill. Almost. She pouted her regret away.
Her client was the man’s father. What a lowlife, wanting his son dead for marrying his ex-wife. Tisk tisk indeed. Personal matters were not important. She would make sure to kill him once she got paid.
He wore warrior clothes, his chest bare and astonishing eight pack. He had scars up and down his body. Celeste licked her lips in delight. He had a broad sword on his back and a travel bag over his left shoulder. His long blonde hair danced in the wind much like her own. His bright blue eyes trained upon her as he came closer. Her smile grew and her eyes narrowed. He stopped right in front of her. Time seemed to stop as they admired each other.
This was a little more exposed and out there compared to most of what she did, but she wasn’t complaining. It came with the job. Sometimes you just had to get down and… extra dirty. Besides, she had been studying this man for some time and this was perfect for what he was into. Celeste would prefer doing things sneaky, but not this time. It seemed to interesting of a case. And this one… he was practically screaming “touch me if you dare.” Or do me.
“Hey there, stranger.” Her cool, seductive voice sends a shiver down his spine.
“Hello, Miss. What brings a beautiful creature such as yourself here?” He takes a step closer. She gets up, arching her back as she does so and stands upright, staring down the man with her brilliant green eyes. He showed his perfect row of pearly whites as he smiled. For a second there, she thought she might have felt a little remorseful, and she did.
“Oh, you know. Business… as usual…” She sized him up, looked him over and took note that he was aroused. This one would be easy.
“Of course...” he said, mesmerized, intoxicated, hypnotized by her splendor, not to mention sexiness. Was he even paying attention to what she said? Probably not.
She cat walked up to him. If he wasn’t already hooked, her natural grace had him wound up wanting more. She placed a hand on his broad shoulder. “You must be tired, warrior, carrying that heavy sword and armor all day…” A sweat drop streams down his face. “Uh…Right, yes, tired...”
“How about we go somewhere a bit more… private? There’s a nice little Inn down to the right of this fork we can go to. You’ll be… taken care of…” Undeniably.
“Ladies first.”
*********************************
The door to their room flew open and Celeste and the stranger practically flew in as they hurled themselves at one another, kissing, holding, rubbing, shoving, grabbing, throwing off their equipment and possessions, you name it. She eyes his weapon when it hits the ground. He was too into it that he didn’t even notice the dagger she slipped from her boot and into her right hand. She flipped him around and thinking she was going to do something like, spank him, he let her, but then when he saw her slip her hand around his neck, his eyes went wide. She slit his throat and he went hurling to the ground. He could not see, but the shock was clear on his face as the blood went spewing out and his body lay twitching there on the floor. As he tried to speak his voice came out in gurgles and she could not understand.
Celeste looks down at him, not smiling, not frowning either. Her face was blunt, her eyes as cold as ice. Then he was dead. She walked over to him and put the dagger in his hands. The fools who find him would think it a suicide. She squatted over him as she stared at a rabbit’s foot necklace he was wearing. She took it and put on herself. His father wanted evidence, and had mentioned he always carried this. What luck he had. It was all on her side. She smiled at the irony.
Celeste checked his pockets and bag for valuables and ended up taking it. The bag had some armor and money. She would sell the armor as soon as she went to pay her client a surprise little visit. She jumped on the bed and curled up. At least she had a nice place to stay for the night. And she didn’t even pay. She laid there with open eyes, gazing out the window to the endless dark sky and the brilliance of the millions of stars up above, for the rest of the night.
