A s a thin look of shock was placed across the face of Miumi, as from the beauty of the lovely forest he had been exploring for the past few hours and had even camped in over night with a nice couple who helped watch over him, as he slowly walked along the frigid terrain, he could feel some of the cold snow sliding up along his feet, yet he didn't sink down like many would, he was like a phantom among the white field, as a heavy gale blew around, it caused some of the loose snow to shift around Miumi in a fashion that made him smile, as the small shards of ice stung his skin slightly but reminded him that he was alive, as well as it melted after it touched his skin causing him to shiver and let out a single soft gasp. As he brought his milky white hand to his face feeling the coldness and his own warmth, it was the balance between the two as he just felt so free from all the other's eyes. He was free to believe that he was normal among the plane of ice, he could stay for a while noticing a small inn.
Slowly his lithe little body began to grace the snow, as he noticed there were a few fiends towards the center of the frozen lake and some of them didn't look really all that friendly he slowly ran his hands along his side feeling for something but it wasn't there. As Miumi just gently walked down the path he could see small figures moving around and smell something that was close to a chocobo. It was a beautiful sight as the sun glistened on the surface, as he just kept walking. As he felt the cold sting his cheeks he pulled up a thick leather hood from his vest and pulled out some sleeves which he attached with clips of metal, they were thick and heavy and covered his arms and protected him from the cold. As he moved he looked close to an Eskimo except more delicate. As he walked past the inn slowly he could see someone open the door and wave curtly, his animalistic features were hidden under his hair. He waved back as he didn't seem to have a single care within this corrupt and twisted world. This was Miumi, he was trying to go to the isle of Besaid, to try and a dream he had.
"This is like some peolpe, cold and inhuman,
W hen he spoke his voice wasn't delicate like it normally was, there was an almost steely like edge to this tone of his voice, it held tones of malice and bitterness but they soon disappeared, many people who had seen him without his guise thought he was a demon, almost everyone tried to hurt him, except a few those who weren't' like others like the Ronso, they were like him except they weren't demons in everyone's eyes they were simply stronger and faster. As Miumi trudged along the path, he saw something flying at him it was a blitzball and two children were coming to get it, Miumi slowly picked it up and smiled as he crouched down handing it to the smaller o the two, he would rustle their hair. He then slowly rose and watched as they ran towards their mother a part of him stung slightly, it hurt to know they had something Miumi desired and once had within his grasp. His parents had passed away just a few months ago of a strange illness so he had begun his travels past the calm lands. He had come through the forest, to here in search of a different plane.
As Miumi walked down to the icy lake, their was a few slick spots slowly leaning down he grabbed two thin blades from the ground they were strong but he used fire to allow him to mold them slightly, forming sharp curves attaching them to his shoes, he touched the ice slowly, he began to skate across the surface swiftly and gracefully for a few seconds, until the inner core of the blades rusted and snapped sending Miumi falling to the ground, with a loud humph, and groans of pain. Slowly his hands touched the ground and he pushed himself up, wiping the dusty glass like fragments from his body.
"It's so cold
A s he slowly rose up from the ground walking towards the inn, when he was tackled by a fiend his body flying into the snow letting out a fragile gasp as it attempted to claw at him the teddy bear coming to life tackling the beast letting out a roar and a plea.
Celeste’s eyes fluttered open and she yawned, sitting up. She peered around to find herself a room at the inn. She frowned. It was so cold! She had decided to sleep in her boots, and yet her feet felt completely numb. Not having brought anything other than her cloak, weapons and travel bag, and wearing nothing but her original leather attire, she was tremendously unprepared for this type of weather. She huddled underneath the bedspread. Celeste laid there and let her eyes wander out her inn room window. It was so peaceful, despite it being bitterly cold, and everything was old fashioned, having been made of wood/log. She liked it. Celeste closed her eyes. Seconds past before a knock at the door sounded behind her, causing her to leap out of her skin, snatching her long dagger that sat on the nightstand, but relaxed as soon as she realized there was no immediate danger. No danger at all. On the other side of the door the innkeeper, a short and very muscular woman, said that there was breakfast downstairs and she was welcome to help herself if she wanted to. Celeste didn’t need to be told. She could smell the wonderful aromas from where she was. But still she groaned, snatching her pillow, she threw it over her face and lay back on the bed. She had been wondering around the land expecting it to be a brand new, one of those ‘follow the road ahead of you’ not really following a map, and instead it was more like ‘why the hell didn’t I get a map?’ experiences. Dread consumed her in a sudden cloud of hazy disappointment. She uncovered her face, tossing the pillow to the side and kicking away the sheets. It was not like she needed to dress, she was already dressed, so she marched down the wooden stairs. At the bar sat a row of plates of all kinds of foods. On the first plate sat a delicious looking omelet; the next had a ton of toast (buttered and covered with blackberry jam), fried potato slices were on the next, and a glass of some kind of drink she didn’t bother sniffing out. Her mouth watered as she stared down the food the innkeeper had prepared. Celeste had not realized that she was so hungry. Sure, it had been days, but usually she wasn’t so hungry even after that long. Perhaps it was the cold weather. Celeste served herself a platter filled with to the brim with everything, including the strange juice. She smiled, picking up her fork and jabbing at a piece of potato. She lifted the fork to her lips, but paused there when she noticed that people were watching. “What?” She asked irritably. They turned around and left her alone. Celeste continued eating cautiously with her eyes on them. Celeste grinned as she chewed slowly, savoring the flavor. It was delicious. As soon as she was finished with that, she thanked the innkeeper and gave her tip Gil, even though it was the same Gil she had stolen from her during the night. But before she could leave, the innkeeper looked her over and said I’d freeze to death out there if I didn’t get something warm on and offered to give me some clothes. She was probably right so Celeste was happy to oblige her. She certainly didn’t want to freeze to death. She took Celeste to the back and gave hera black leather jacket with fur at the brim of the hood, and a pair of black leather winter boots, also brimmed with fur at the top. Her face glowed with pure joy as she watched Celeste put everything on. The older woman said she was simply stunning, radiating in beauty, that Celeste was just so lucky. She went on to talk about a daughter she had, had been about Celeste’s age, and some other stuff about how she died but Celeste paid little attention even though she pretended to be fully captivated by her story. When she was done, Celeste sighed a heavy sigh of relief and smiled as she finally let her go. But the older woman stopped her just as she was about to take off again, and rolling her eyes Celeste turned back to her and smiled. She held up two blades that looked like they attached to something. She showed Celeste how under her boots were these slots, she could place these blades in them and skate on ice! Neat! Celeste reassured her by giving her a hug and with tears on her eyes, she waved goodbye. How strange that was… A total stranger too. Oh well, not like Celeste was complaining. She got a free pair of boots and a jacket, and she was somewhat warmer. She stuffed my cloak into her bag and walked out the door. She stepped into the snow and she felt as light as a feather as her feet did not sink in. She walked so gracefully and carefully, and didn’t weigh that much to begin with, that it probably wouldn’t be possible. Celeste wasn’t even paying attention to where she was going before she came across a frozen lake. She noticed other figures, but for some reason, she just didn’t seem to be paying much attention to anything. Curiously she removed the blades from her back and attached them to the slots on the bottom of her boots. She stepped on the ice with them and pushed off, sliding elegantly across the ice. She smiled. Suddenly, she heard a loud thump, the sound a body makes when getting hit hard, falling, or hitting something. She takes off towards the sound, gliding on the ice like a natural, the bitter cold air hitting her face, ruffling her hair, and skids to a stop as she spots a commotion. She doesn’t have to be too close to see that someone was being attacked. Should she help? No, she shouldn’t interfere yet. Celeste couldn’t even tell if the stranger was in trouble. Somewhere in there she heard a plea... If he did not, or could not fight back, then maybe, just maybe… Celeste fixed her intense eyes on them.
A s the look of wildness filled those soft fragile eyes, as the beast slammed Miumi into the ground, with a loud umph as his body crashed into the snow with a loud thud. The creature almost looked human as it began to snarl and foam at the mouth, as Miumi's one hand was pressing on the beast's chin pushing the other's head up in a painful angle while the other was fending off the random swipes, but slowly Miumi realized how much of a danger he was in as slowly he moved his leg, he would slam it into the other's groin and then another quick ram just a few millimeters above. The first blow wasn't as useful as Miumi thought it would be as this one seemed to be female but the pain distracted it temporarily, as the beast howled in pain the next blow caught it off guard, it stumbled backwards slightly. As Miumi rose up it attempted to lunge at Miumi, as those soft hips pivoted letting the beast fly by, his hand slamming down upon the back of the neck causing it to fall to the ground momentarily stunned by the force this small body was capable of producing. As Miumi's icy eyes would focus on something moving in the horizion bracing himself for another blow, as he just stepped back as a furry fist flew towards Miumi's face this yeti like creature had asked for it. A look of seriousness crossed the rather angelic face.
As Miumi wove around the blows with ease, he slowly got closer towards the other till it looked like they were dancing Miumi was facing away from the beast, yet his movements were swift slamming one elbow into the stomach the other followed to the face, The movements were swift and as the beast moved forward Miumi went down a swift kick to the knee sent it sprawling backwards as Miumi turned his hand was held steady, The sudden feeling in the air was one of heat and the snow around Miumi melted slightly as the beast came for one more go at Miumi. Miumi held his ground firmly as he aimed his hands towards the beast's gut as slowly an orb of fire began to manifest itself slowly Miumi's hands coiled around the flames crushing it within his hand. As the beast lunged Miumi sent his fist to the other's face with explosive results, the flames exploded from the small holes in his fist and the gapes between his fingers, like a flame thrower and with he force of a truck slamming into it, it flew backwards and this time it didn't get back up, as small slashes were on his arm he seemed fine... but he didn't move to easily, he seemed dizzy and nauseated as he moved towards the girl. He offered a smile before he would black out before her. The connection with his bear didn't bother to form.
Celeste watches the fight very carefully, studying the stranger’s moves as he fights the fiend. He was a very impressive fighter. She lifts her brow as he gracefully avoids the beasts’ blow. She couldn’t have agreed more with his movements. A grin spreads across her lips as she took in his icy glare on his striking face towards the beast. She watched as they danced, the beast more in frenzy than anything. His very long black hair stood out amongst everything, whipping around as he fought; especially since their surroundings were white, ice and snow, and his hood had fallen back.
Her eyes widened with amusement, then narrowed at the remarkable fire attack, and the beast did not get up. As beautifully as he performed this fight, he came out injured and staggered around uneasy on his feet as he walked towards Celeste, with… a smile on his face… his icy blue eyes meeting her gleaming emerald ones...This was so odd to her, she didn’t understand it, not one bit. Why was this stranger smiling at her? She took the signs of his obvious condition and quickly skated to his side and caught him just as he blacked out. He was especially light, so she carried him to ground, since the ice was cracked from his fight and deemed dangerous. She laid him down on the soft snow and she sat next to him.
She leaned ever so slightly over him as she examined him. He was a rather feminine looking male. His face was awfully pale, yet carried the innocents of a child. He was very beautiful, in a really peculiar way. She fingered his ear as she scrutinized his piercings, and then passed her right hand over his face tenderly. Her face remained receptive. Hanging from his neck was a tear shaped pendant made of glass with an engraftment of the name ‘Sola Harou’. Celeste wondered if it was his name. Probably not, it seemed more of a female’s name. Maybe his mother, or a sister, or maybe a special girl he loves… or loved. She fingered it gently with her middle finger of her right hand. The rest of him was covered in a thick leather hood with long sleeves, if he had his hood over his head it would almost made him look like an Eskimo, but his features were much too delicate.
Celeste leaned back away from him and sighed, her face going passive. What was she doing taking interest in an unfamiliar person? She shrugged. Celeste was just curious that way, always watching, taking note of the little things that no one really ever cares to takes note of. She threw her head back letting her auburn hair hang back and the snow to fall on her smooth fair skin, and waited for the stranger to wake up.
I'm breaking at the seams.... you'll never hear me scream
A s the world around him went black, his brain slowed down as the other skated to his side and caught him. This action caused Miumi to let out a loud gasp, which may of shocked the other. While the teddy bear soon walked closer to the woman watching the way she treated his master. But as his master laid there the memories began to resurface, those ones that had been suppressed. This was the effect of living among the mortals, his mental barriers were breaking down each time the memories were becoming more clear. Miumi's true past was being revealed. This time it was just the beginning. They said demons weren't created they were right they were brought to live. As he could see the world around him. He was in a dark room and there were two figures hovering above him, one was a small fragile looking woman who had long blond hair which was so curly it formed lovely little ringlets. Her skin was so ghastly pale it was as if she was dead. Her eyes were the same as Miumi's and they held a single glint of happiness. As their mission had worked they had gathered parts of both human and demon alike and fused them together to created his vessel. While the spirit they created was a mixture of parts of their own lives. While the woman had given more it was obvious by the boy's appearance there was a reason he was the way he was.
A slick thin layer of sweat was appearing along his head, in an elegant fashion. As his eyes remained closed his breathing became slightly uneven. As he lay there soundly asleep he looked so innocent but the images of his mind weren't as such. The woman before him was his "mother" as she looekd happy the look of fatigue was noticeable as the man stood tall. His teeth were pointed and his hair was black as the night that he had been created under. He brandished a sword on his back and was large and bulky obviously either one of the higher ups but he seemed gentle as he reached down stroking Miumi's cheek, his hands were blood stained. While in reality the other was just gingerly tracing his ears, which the man was doing within his dreams but his clawed nails cut against the skin causing him to cry out all that escaped his lips was a whimper. This was the man that was known as his father. He slowly began to grin maliciously at the child as if he was crazed by hunger and the moment he lunged that woman stood forward, placing her hand to his chest, suddenly his body was flung back by an invisible force so hard he crashed into the door and broke clean through it. This woman wouldn't let harm befall upon her child. She would make that a reality and would strike down any of those who came near. He heard her name but once. "Claudia."
" "Claudia..... I miss you."
W hen those words left his lips, they sounded hollow as if they were missing the very part of the soul they should of contained. As the other traced the pendent that Miumi wore the bear walked just a small tad bit closer starring at the other with eyes that reflected an age far beyond their appearance. While as the other had moved the pendent they caused his head to twist one way, revealing the upper part of his shoulder revealing the makings of a tattoo, it looked as if it were burned upon his skin. While brief images flashed in his mind they were going by so fast that Miumi had no time to focus on them, they were images of when he had been brought forth. While slowly his fingers clenched. As the dream faded from his grasp slowly the image before him would come. As slowly those eyes would crack and he would sit up. Slowly his head ached with a dull throb. As he just looked around he noticed his bear was close to him while the other was an elven woman who had a look of tranquility and peace among her. She seemed so gentle but she was so frail looking it brought a soft smile to Miumi's pink rosy lips. While the faintest hint of blushing could been seen across Miumi's face. It was hard to believe this man had just been a near psycho powered killer and now looked like a shy child.
"Hello... I'm Miumi.... "
H e whispered to himself before the bear spoke, it looked at the eleven woman to Miumi, he knew what the boy had seen but said nothing.
"Mi- lord are you all right."

Celeste listened to the boy’s erratic breathing, wondering what was going on in the oblivion that was the mind of unconsciousness. She crouched over hugging her knees to her chest as she watched a bear that was coming cautiously closer and closer. She had seen the bear with the boy, but hadn’t really taken note, and there he was. Celeste figured the bear belonged to the boy considering how he was acting. As she looked into the bear’s eyes she saw something in them you wouldn’t normally see. What could it have been, intelligence, understanding? She did not know for sure, but it seemed to her the bear was more than meets the eye.
“Claudia…”
Celeste snapped her head to look at the boy, watching him inquisitively.
“…I miss you.”
His voice sounded monotonous as his words passed through her ears, almost mechanical, as if the body contained no character. She observed him as he twisted his head one way, and saw what looked to be tattoos on his shoulder. Celeste wondered what they represented, or what they were for. His relaxed posture tensed and then relaxed again, and finally, he opened his eyes. He opened his icy blue eyes and sat up looking around him, first his eyes falling on the bear, and then on her.
Celeste had to be careful and guarded around anyone. Especially strangers; some strangers are good, but most are bad, and most likely might want to hurt you. But this boy didn’t look dangerous. And she wasn’t getting that strange feeling she usually when you know something is wrong. Everything was… okay.
As one second went by, her eyes caught something she hadn’t before. Strange of her not to have noticed already, but this boy wasn’t an ordinary boy. His pointed ears gave it away. If that hadn’t she should have known something beforehand. His features were not like those of an ordinary human being anyway; much like herself. And his brawl with the fiend, a human boy of his size wouldn’t likely survive such an attack. He was strong and a ferocious combatant despite his delicate appearance. He was not an elf. What was he? Was he a…. Her mind wandered away from her thoughts as the boy smiled kindly, and blushed. She looked at him passively with a glimmer of uncertainty in her eye.
“Hello… I’m Miumi….”
Almost immediately she wanted to get away. Regret consumed her for sticking around to make sure he was alright. She should have left when she had the chance, when she laid the boy on the snow, and let him and the bear alone. What reason was there in sticking around anyway? She wanted to get away.
And yet a warm feeling went through her, but she couldn’t understand why. Why did her hardened heart soften for him so? As she watched him, she couldn’t help but smirk. She placed her hand into the snow, ignoring the bitter cold and leaned on it, moving a little bit closer to him.
Before she could speak, the bear spoke. Come again? Yes, the bear actually spoke the human language. She stared at the bear feeling dazed, but did not finding all that surprising. She was used to seeing strange things like this. So the bear really was more intelligent, as she had assumed. He called Miumi ‘mi-lord.’ Was he some kind of royalty? Or maybe he was just that loyal. The bear seemed almost human. She turned her head slowly and looked back at the man, who looked more like a boy.
“Hello, Miumi. I’m Celeste….” Her cool voice seemed gentler than what she was used to and as soon as those words left her mouth, she thought, wow, that was so effortless, saying her name to a stranger without a second thought. Well, technically, they were no longer strangers since they exchanged names. But it did seem strange, since never before in her life had she given her name out at the beginning of a conversation. Not even in the end did she usually give out her name. It felt a bit uncomfortable, but somehow, she liked it, the openness she felt with this particular stranger. Celeste felt in common with this individual, and didn’t know why. Why did it even matter? It didn’t.
“…That was a remarkable display of skill. You handled yourself well with the fiend. Did you come to any harm?”
Celeste placed her free hand over her travel bag which was lying next to her.
Work In Progress I'll pull my life apart, for you to see
A s Miumi sat there, slowly the world and memories came back, he was becoming more aware of the cold powdery snow that was against his skin he could feel some of it melting and turning into droplets which slid down his milky white skin causing him to shiver or gasp occasionally but it was awkward. As Miumi's dark hair covered his face slightly the glimpses of the demon turning a deep crimson tone were still there it made it look adorable. As Miumi just remained silent and almost passive as he just seemed to awakening, his eyes seemed to lull back and forth looking around almost wildly. As he took in the world around him slowly his focus came onto the other again. As the world seemed to cease it's spinning and Miumi could feel the ground beneath him as he ran his hands through the snow. He offered a gentle smile as the other seemed to be slightly wierded out by the bear that Miumi kept as a familiar, the two were like yin and yang, one was magic and the other was strength. They were the polar opposites many times, while Miumi was reckless the other was calm and controlled it made them like brothers one would protect the other. In the end all they seemed to have was the companion ship of the other and if Miumi were to die so would the bear that lay so peacefully. But he didn't plan on dying he wouldn't let Ayamu die.
" "Hi Celeste, I'm fine though, I don't think I can stay long I have to go to the thunder planes and from there to Besaid.... you see i'm going to become a summoner, I will change the world."
W hen those words left his lips, they sounded innocent

Celeste watched the boy carefully. He seemed not okay but fine. As he spoke he sounded so innocent and young, his voice soft and determined. A Summoner? Change the World? What is this guy thinking? Does he really think he can change the world all by himself? Celeste shrugged the thoughts away. Anyone could change the world. Every being on the planet, every action they took, affected where things went, how things went on. In a way we are all changing the world, if only a little. But Miumi seemed serious about this in a way she didn't understand. She was concerned more than anything. Concern? Why should she be feeling this for a stranger? If he wants to go and get himself killed then so be it! What did it 'concern' her? But she couldn't help the sudden urge she got to accompany him. She took her hand away from the bag passed it through her hair and placed it back where it was. The cold from her hands in the snow stung a little.
Looking at him once more, she noticed how scrawny he was, despite his perculiar muscular build. He looked hungry. Celeste smiled warmly at him. She found it strange showing affection for him. Stranger. And yet she felt connected to him somehow.
She looked at her travel bag. There she had stuffed some food she snuck out from the inn. It was free, so why not? She looked back at Miumi. There was a very brief pause as she looked at him passively yet with a hint of warmth. Normally she would just fork over the food instead of asking, since she didn't really enjoy chit chating with people, especially strangers. First time for everything, no?
"You look a little hungry. Would you like something to eat?"
Celeste changed the subject for a reason. She wanted to get to know this stranger a little better before she decided to join him and ask if he would allow her company as a guardian. He wouldn't even have to pay her if he didn't want to. It's not like she was going anywhere specific at the moment.
A rumble and a roar, the groan of pain and happiness,
A s Miumi sat there silently much like a statue, a look of wonder seemed to place itself across his fragile doll-like face which was turning every which way as he observed the frigid ice-land around them he focused his eyes would close for a moment and his lips began to move, they seemed to move so quickly any sound that was trying to escape became muted and he focused, a warm glow emerged from his hands as he noticed the other's look of pain, as he focused suddenly the heat flared, visible outlines of red, yellow and even blue seemed to ensnare his hands as he plundged his hand through the snow, the hiss and steams cracked and popped as he felt down below there was wood, it was wet but it soon dried under Miumi's burning hand leaving a circle revealing hard stone like earth and some twigs and branches which were ignited. As Miumi pulled back his hand slowly the snow around the flame began to melt rather quickly, Miumi's fragile looking hands were placed near the fire a soft look of contentment adored that innocent face. This was the true Miumi, as he reached up just gingerly brushing a few strands of black hair from his pale face. When the other mentioned food Miumi shook his head quickly but his stomach growled betraying his true feelings and his head nodded once or twice.
Celeste watched Miumi make fire, but not really. She bit and unbit her lip as she tried to ignore him mostly and tried to seem as passive as possible, even if she was actually interested in thegirl. She was a mystery to her, and she usually read people so well. She went through her bag and pulled out potatoe slices and buttered toast wrapped in a white cloth and handed it to Miumi. "No problem." There went her proud personality of being too kind for ones own good. Never did she like saying the exact words 'thank you'. Never did she enjoy being polite.
"So, Miumi... Tell me... about your quest. Perhaps I can be of some assistance..."
She wasn't really curious to know about his quest but on Miumi himself. Perhaps if he spoke about this she can find out more about the kid. Then maybe she can get him to talk about himself even.
A s the other fished through their bag, Miumi sat there looking at the flame, they way it moved back and forth like the tongue of the serpent and the way it seemed to be alive and move gracefully like a cat. It was an amusing moment for Miumi it seemed as he just gently reached out running his hands absently along the top of the flame, feeling the heat radiating gently from the fire to Miumi's hand the way it spiraled gently around him, as the plumes of smoke coiled around his hand and the sweat began to form on his skin. He watched as a bead of sweat slid from his hand and fell against the heat, it reminded him of blood falling from a blade on the cold ground, he was used to seeing battle everywhere he went, it was his curse, he was never to see peace and beauty it seemed. As his hand clenched a few more beads fell down hissing as they made contact as Mimui's hand flew through the flames he was running his hand slowly through the flames, they didn't burn. They were his creation they knew he was their master, as he severed his control for just a moment he felt it, the heat blistering, he pulled his hand back before they could be burned. The skin held a slight pink hue but it slowly turned back to white. As he looked up at the other his gaze was soft much like the way a child looked at their mother.
As the other pulled out food from the bag, Miumi could smell the rich scent of butter, it reminded him of the things that his mother had created, as he just gazed at, he could also smell the earthy scent of the potatoes, his nose twitched once or twice as he watched, his ears would just gently twitch and a swish of his tail sent a small wall of snow away from him. As the other offered it to Miumi, he just gently reached across the fire grasping the cloth from the other just slowly pulling it to his lap and he undid the cloth looking at the white, it was like the snow so pure and untainted. As he touched the bread, it was soft and when he he bit into it, he tasted herbs within the butter, it was refreshing from meat of fiends and herbal soups, he was getting sick of having to eat those things. As he just gently let out a soft pur, as he chewed his eyes were on the woman as she asked a question he felt up a finger and countiend to chew for a bit. While slowly the food turned to a mushy like substance within his mouth he swallowed, it returned a small fraction of the strength he had used. As he took another bite forcing it down his throat he cleared his air way and spoke, his voice was soft and gentle like a mother's to a child.
"It is a story that may take a bit, but if you have the time i can tell you. "
Celeste smiled but it quickly went away as paranoia struck. She watched Miumi eat and feelings went through her that she couldn't quite describe. As she watched, she had the feeling that she must protect the child from harm. Like a mother with her child. But Celeste was no mother, so this couldn't possibly make sense. And it didn't, atleast, not to her.
She went deep inside her mind and thought. She tried to remember such an example of mothership in her life. There was none. Her mother died giving birth to the terrible halfling child she named Celeste as her dying breath. As her father looked into her dying mother's eyes, he saw something in them, a thing he had seen many times before in the months before her birth, before her pregnancy. She was so close, in fact she was right there, her mother was, and yet, so far away from her father's reach. His nurturing touch. His caressing embrace. His undeniable love. But her love grew alien and distant as she tried to fake it. But he knew, all the same.
After Celeste was born he simply took out his anger all on her. Nothing but hate was shown from her father and her so called siblings. Abandonment. The cruelest thing you can do to a child. Living by ones own and self. For yourself and no one else. Trying to survive the cruel world that was the slums of Midgar all by her lonesome. There was no love. No care of a mother or a father, a brother or a sister.
So...why? Was she simply trying to gain all that was never given? All that was lost? Was she trying to turn it all around towards Miumi? As Celeste thought she couldn't quite put her finger on it, but instead let it be. There was no use in pondering about it anymore. It was what it was, whatever "it" was.
She placed her graceful gaze on Miumi and said, "I have all the time in the world." And that she meant more than anything. There was nowhere in particular she had to be. What was wrong with killing a little time? Besides, she wasn't much of a talker anyway. She certainly didn't enjoy telling people about her past but was always glad to listen. Well, not always, but Miumi was a special case.
