A new morning, a new day - and hopefully one less strenuous than the one prior to it. Yesterday was the commencement of the much anticipated Blitzball season. The stadium was overfilled and rowdy as they cheered on their favoured team. The Blitzball season could not have come sooner considering the recent Sin attack on Luca, the people of Spira needed something to lift their spirits – besides Seymour’s words. Though the crowd and general population loved him, they required a little something extra that is why Seymour was somewhat relieved. Nevertheless, it was tiresome for him because if he let his true, malignant and twisted nature slip even just touch, the VIP box filled with unique and intelligent characters would have caught on instantly. He was sure a few might have, but it did not matter, they were non-Spirans, their word was nothing compared to his here.
It was about midmorning and he had already been up for several, long hours thinking. He met a particularly distinctive woman the other day in the VIP box. He had known about her for some time because she was a Summoner, so he was always updated on her progress; nonetheless, he had never been introduced to her before, face-to-face. Upon seeing her, she was quite a rarity in terms of beauty; however... it was not her attractiveness that he wanted her for. It was for the mere fact that she was a Summoner and she could potentially grant him what he wished – to become Sin. This individual’s name was Adiona.
He spent the better part of the morning in his room pondering how he would get close to her so that she may choose him as her Final Aeon. He had several ideas, but none which were outstanding or would work well. Thus, he decided he would take up her counsel, like he told her yesterday, and ask bluntly and see how that goes.
He moved to his large desk and produced a piece of plain white paper and upon it in shiny, black ink, he wrote:
My dear, Adiona, It would be a pleasure if you could accompany me on a small walk. There are a few things which I wish to discuss with you privately. So, please, bring no one else. My words are for you alone. 1 o’clock, down in the marketplace.
Seymour
His font was rich and flowery. He was well educated and it was obvious. He summoned a messenger boy to deliver his letter. Being a Maester, he used his status to easily find where she had been staying and he hoped she would get his letter in time. He instructed her to meet him at the marketplace because the level of volume would give any eavesdroppers a hard time to listen.
From his desk, he went to get ready. Bathing and changing, he put on his intricately designed and coloured robes. His natural blue hair held its used three-pronged position, though he was used to it and did not mind. It made him stand out significantly, all the same. Once he was prepared, he walked from his residence to the marketplace, greeting people here and there. The marketplace was packed, thankfully. Obviously, people did not push or shove him, they gave him adequate space. Now, he simply waited for the one who held his possible future in his hands.

A new dawn and a new day, yesterday it had been the start of the Blitzball season not that it interested her in the slightest but it was a change of scenery. Getting up from her bed she looked over towards her guardian who had fallen asleep for once, it was rare for him to sleep so deeply but he did deserve a good rest and it wasn't like she needed to be watched all the time. Nothing would happen to her in Luca it was too alive with the Blitzball excitement, smiling Adiona grabbed a robe to cover herself before she went to get something to eat. Suddenly a knock at the door startled her, jumping she laughed at herself before opening the door to her room. A young messenger boy stood with a note, he bowed before her and then handed her the note before jogging away. Adiona found herself almost shouting him back until she opened the note, her blue eyes opened wide as she read.
My dear, Adiona, It would be a pleasure if you could accompany me on a small walk. There are a few things which I wish to discuss with you privately. So, please, bring no one else. My words are for you alone. 1 o’clock, down in the marketplace.

Her face became flushed as she shut the door, there was no way she could refuse this offer as he was Maester and a very well respected man. He did also say to bring no one else which meant Zero would have to stay away. It was a good thing he was asleep there was no way he would have left her alone with him, not in herm mind anyways. Like a flash of thunder Adiona found herself rushing around trying find something to wear, she decided her usual black attire was just too formal something more appeasing to the eye was needed. Quietly opening a wardrobe the young summoner found a fitting aquarmarine dress. This would do nicely along with the white sandals at the bottom of the wardrobe, flinging her robe off Adiona slipepd into the dress which luckily fit her as well as the sandals. Taking a quick look in the mirror Adiona tended to her white hair keeping it free from being tied back, she was all over the place rushing from one place to the next trying to look perfect for him. Why she was putting this much effort into it was beyond her, Adiona never cared for what people or men had thought of her before.
The clock struck 12.50pm and she realised she would be late unless she left now, with Zero still alseep Adiona slipped out of the room and began to walk quickly to the marketplace. Turning a corner Adiona then saw him, he looked very elegant and smart. Brushing down her dress Adiona made her way over to him making the sign of Yevon as she approached Maester Seymour.
"My Lord I recieved your note, I am honoured you wish to speak to me in these settings."

Seymour had to admit, it was rather fascinating watching the citizens of Spira go on with their lives. Many bustled around the marketplace, buying food and necessities for families and loved ones. Oblivion was thick in these people. They were unconscious to the single fact that very soon, they would meet their demise at Seymour's hands when he became Sin. He would relieve these poor people of their miserable lives and save them from suffering with the sweet reprieve of eternal sleep - death.
He continued watching them with calculating, but seemingly kind eyes of chocolate brown. Dark thoughts whirled around inside his mind, like usual, but they were momentarily halted as from around a corner, the lovely Adiona had arrived. She wore a dazzling and exquisite aquamarine dress than appeared to shimmer in the rays of the golden sun that shone brightly in the sapphire sky. Matching the dress were a comfy looking pair of sandals. Her stark white hair flowed like a stream of calm water down from her head. All in all, she was glowing and grace emanated from her very core.
Had Seymour been looking for a true, loving relationship with another, he would certainly have asked her for her hand in marriage. Nonetheless, if he had any interest in a relationship, it was merely to benefit his warped plans and schemes.
Adiona walked over to him, making the sign of Yevon - Seymour politely returned the gesture - and her musical voice pierced the otherwise noisy atmosphere and he heard her with perfect clarity.
In a soft tone, he spoke, "My dear, to be honest, the honour is all mine. Your progress through the Cloister of Trials is magnificent and I am always eager to here of it." A sincere smile shone perfectly on his face.
He paused momentarily as he began to walk slowly through the crowds, hoping Adiona would follow alongside him. He spoke once again, this time, his voice held a more serious note. "Truthfully, I have summoned you to talk today about something very important... As a Maester, I am a crucial figure in the Spira; however, it feels like I am not doing my part. There is so much more I could do to help defeat Sin, rather than sit around daily. Do not take me as conceited, but I am very capable of handling myself in battle. I was born to become a Summon myself; nevertheless, as you can see, things have changed."
He stopped in the street to look at Adiona directly. His dark brown eyes gazed into her intent blue ones. He stopped abruptly because he was about to ask something very important. "Adiona, will you accept me, Maester Seymour Guado, as one of your Guardians? To serve alongside you and protect you as you advance through the Cloister of Trials and get closer to your final destination of Zanarkand." His bark brown eyes were unwavering and were very serious. His entire plans rested upon her agreement to this partnership, so he hoped she would agree.

The young summoner's cheeks flushed red as Seymour spoke, watching him walk ahead for a moment the greatest amount of respect for him ran through her mind as well as few other things. Almost embarrassed by her own thoughts Adiona had to shake them away there was no way she could fall for a Maester. Quickly catching up to Seymour Adiona kept her hands by her side in a relaxed position, the marketplace was quite busy this day probably because of the blitzball and the tourists. He seemed to be full of praise for her which she found quite strange but none the less Adiona smiled and occassionaly looked to Seymour...but then the question came she never thought she would hear.
Adiona looked into his eyes as he looked into hers, she fell right into his gaze and for a moment her mouth partened, her heartbeat quickened she felt hot flushes come over her. Adiona knew she had been silent a while but she could not stop looking at him as well as being shocked by his question, a sudden sound from the market place brought her out of her trance.
"Uh....Maester Seymour what you ask is something I or anyone would have expected. I feel very humble you would ask this of me and not any other summoner. Of course I accept your proposal of being my guardian it would be a huge honour to have you by my side in battle and as I reach....well hopefully reach Zanarkand."
Adiona turned her head slightly away breaking the gaze between them, there was no way she could refuse such an offer to have such a powerful figure head by her side. This would be good for Spira it would being the people hope and joy to see a summoner and a Maester side by side.
His smile was kind and genuine as he looked upon her features. Her blushing cheeks were clear against her pale skin and her mouth gaped open for a moment or so. It would seem like he would get the response he prayed for. She was able to form words after a minute or two after the shock receded. Internally, his smile was viciously victorious as he ensnared her. Now that she was firmly caught in his web of deceit, he would be able to fulfill his wish of destroying Spira at long last. However... there was something about Adiona that was different from any other. He could sense some dark seed within her. Could he water it? If he could, would it flourish into a warped shadow that could spellbind her mind to a more sinister purpose, like his own? If it was possible, he would wait a while before he attempted. He had just gained her trust. So, he did not want to go overboard.
”My fair lady, do not flatter me, the honour is purely mine. I am just glad that I will now be able to do more than what I have already to defeat Sin once and for all. With our partnership, we could save Spira and liberate it from its fear and suffering.” His words were like honey. He was most definitely a silver-tongued master of deception. His plans would soon unfold and devour all in its wake. It was only a matter of time.
Seeing it as an appropriate time to ask, he said in an innocent, eager manner, ”I know that we have only just agreed to a companionship, but when do we make leave? I am most ready now than ever before to get under way. The horror Sin will no longer plague the lives of the citizens of Spira now that a Summoner and Maester fight alongside.” He chose his words so that they may appeal to her liking. He was a brilliant mind, though warped with misfortune and a horrible childhood. He now was able to set his mind on one thing: becoming Sin.

"Once Zero...my first guardian has awakened we should be leaving not too long after that he is anxious to get underway as well I'm sure. If you wish we could leave immediately if you feel we should leave now Maester Seymour."
The redness from her cheeks stayed with her it wasn't every day you were in the company this long of a Maester, keeping a smile on her face most of the time Adiona found that she was smiling not because she had to but because she wanted to. It was nice to have a change of company even though she did like Zero's company more and more as time went on, though from yesterday Adiona couldn't help but feel that Zero disliked Maester Seymour. Everyone was entitled to their own opinion and at the moment Adiona's was that she felt safe around him. The summoner stayed still as she wasn't sure if Seymour wished to walk on and spend more time with her or if he wished to leave immediately.
"Our next destination will be Djose where I shall pray to the fayth to obtain Ixion, of course you will know of this I apologise if I insulted your intelligence Maester Seymour."
The definite redness of her cheeks was notable, though he was acting too genteel to bring it to her attention – which he was sure she already knew about. Her words were soft as she spoke; however, Seymour flinched internally and unnoticeably, so Adiona would not see, when she mentioned the name, Zero. Sadly, he did not die, which Seymour wished for when fiends attacked the Blitzball stadium the other day. The very thought of travelling with the silent and deadly Guardian, let alone, work alongside him, irritated Seymour greatly. None the less, unlike Zero the previous day who showed his utter disdain of Seymour clearly and openly, Seymour acted as if journeying with Zero would be a great honour. His whole act revolved around being polite and courteous, so that is how he performed. He would never let slip his loathing for Adiona’s OTHER Guardian. Though, he would have to scheme a method of getting rid of the man because he proved to be quite a thorn in Seymour’s side.
”Whenever is fine with you, my dear. However, if you will give me leave, naturally, there are some preparations I need to make before I venture off. I do hope you understand. And, do not worry, I know what you mean and I do not feel offended at all.”
His smile was pure and forgiving as he looked on Adiona as she stopped. He waited patiently in the loud atmosphere of the marketplace for Adiona’s response. He thought it would be polite for her to dismiss him, rather than just leaving, considering he was now in her service.
