That infectious wanderlust that has sunk its teeth into Clive and never let go has once again caused him to seek out some unseen goal in a faraway land, and that is how he has arrived here. That and the trade cart he was able to hop aboard for a nominal fee near the Lindblum-Spira boarder. It has been two days now, the chocobo drawn cart slowly making its way into country along the single road that connects almost every city in Spira, convenient though it makes the trip feel extremely linier. It suited Clive well enough; linier meant less chance for getting lost in a place where a fiend may find him a delicious snack – though Clive personally believes he must taste horrid, coupled with his lanky build, why bother eating him. Thankfully, should a fiend pop out with an appetite, his traveling companion at the front of the cart was nice and plump, a perfect meal.
Late on the second day they just arrived via boat to an island just a tiny distance off the mainland, by now Clive was growing weary from the travel. He hadn’t eaten since South Gate, nearly four days ago and has just pilfering water from the cart while the fat merchant was busy steering the chocobos. He needed food, he need to find some entertainment, and most importantly – he really needed food. They were coming up to a small village in this thus, tropical paradise. It smelled fresh, and slightly salty on the air from the clean clear ocean just a around the island. Ocean also meant food, seafood, and hopefully lots of it. Clive waited till they came to a fork in the road, one leading to the village of Besaid the other – well didn’t matter, the village was Clive’s destination. He jumped off quickly, waved back to the merchant and trotted down the dirt path toward Besaid.
The soil was cool against Clive's feet, like all Burmecian’s he wore no shoes. Being digigrade made it somewhat impractical; instead they opted for ankle bracers to support their weight. Despite this unusual anatomy, it did give them a unique spring to their step. Down the path and sweeping away some large frawns, revealing… a very tiny village of huts and what appears to be a temple of some sort. Clive sighs and rolls his eyes, a backwater little village, grossly uninteresting. Grudgingly, he walks towards it, feigning interest in the activities of the locals. All in all he really just hoped there was somewhere he could grab a bite to eat. The village seemed to be mostly homes and a tiny store that sadly had only potions and the usual lot of traveling items. That is when the temple caught his interest, maybe they catered to travelers and religious types were saps for hard luck cases. With a skip in his step, he bounds for the temple, conceiving in his head a sob story worthy of a free meal and whatever else he could get.

A s Clive entered the village, he would notice a small group were off to one side and the sound of whimpering could be hear emerging from the middle of it, as the villagers seemed to have Miumi cornered, he remembered focusing throwing an orb of fire at the ground it exploded outwards causing them to jump and Miumi pushed one of them to the ground in an attempt to escape. One had actually slapped MIumi across the face as he tried to escape, others had begun to brandish weapons again the small child. As he moved he saw the rat like creature, Miumi's face was stained with tears which seemed to be sliding free, one of the younger children had picked up a handful of rocks and had begun throwing it at Miumi. He shook his head, small pieces of gravel and dirt slid from it, his body ached, children and parents could be so cruel. As he wiped his eyes softly he seemed to be in some kind of pain, emotionally and physically for those brief moments he lost sight of where he was going and slammed into Clive. While Miumi would stumble slightly he didn't fall to the ground whispering an apology, he kept running, even at close range Clive probably had difficulties telling that Miumi was a male or female, Miumi hadn't stopped running yet, he was litterly fleeing from the village yet no one bothered to follow him, he hadn't done anything wrong except being born.
"Why do the hate me so? Do they hate me so much they wish death upon me?""
W hen those words leaft his lips there was a cold feeling left within Miumi, as he reached up there was a thin trickle of blood sliding down the right side of his face. The rock had busted his skull yet he had barely felt it he was in that much of a hurry to leave, it was like he had committed a sin while just being born. As Miumi ran slowly his animalistic features became more visible, the wolven ears slowly slid from the messy hair and his tail was visible every time he took a step, while he was leaving a trail. Not of just a few drops of blood every few steps, as he ran to the bridges he decided he wanted to bath, stripping down to the barest of his clothing, which consisted of a long bandage like cloth wrapped around his chest and a pair of tights, while the bandages were slightly looser up in the top giving him the small appearance of being a woman. He stepped onto the ropes and leapt down to a small ledge where a crevice was where he would store his stuff invisible to someone unless they were standing right above it while he countined down under the waterfall, it's pressure was great but it was relaxing as Miumi spiraled in and out of it slowly his hair was turning dark in tone and clinging to his back. His skin grew even whiter as he got off mated down grim.
As Miumi swam through the torrents of water until he got near a small rock, he would connect to the teddy bear who reached into his bag pulling out a few items, such as a rough looking cloth, and a single vial, which was a thing of what one would assume soap. It was purely liquid and had scented oils within while they were deluded they were still capable of being smelt, it was a rich vanilla scent with an after hint of honey. Miumi caught both in his hand just pouring a small puddle of it on the cloth, and he began to scrub his skin till it felt a little raw, but he knew he was clean, he even washed his hair under the water fall and combed it with and ivory flora comb the teddy bear threw as well. Soon the items he had used except the come were washed off and thrown back after being dried off, he smiled as the teddy bear fumbled with them before putting them in the bag and he severed the tie again. Miumi began to swim around though he seemed so peaceful as he disappeared under the water spiraling around coming up behind the water fall he rested there for a moment before he swam out again, if someone had followed the blood trail they'd see Miumi bathing, or just having fun. The mystery would still be is that a boy or a girl? Currently Miumi was taking the comb vigorously against his tail taking out small clumps of dead hair and grooming it.
"I will one day be loved by the people,... I will become a summoner soon... i just need to wait till the time is right.. "
A s he stood there silently looking at himself in the mirror like eyes of the teddy bear, his eyes were a ghastly icy blue and almost a perfect shade of milky white like he was blind, but then there were splotches of other colors like yellow green and gray which were speckled along his eye giving him an exotic appearance. His hair was slick from the water and was still drying a little, but it was long and black going down to his knee-caps easily seeming to drift around him with a sense of elegance. He would fish around in his bandages getting a long crimson ribbion before pulling his hair upwards and pulling it into a long pony-tail giving him a dangerously sleek appearance.
What could all the commotion be in such a quant little village as this, maybe it’s a witch burning; they do that in these parts don’t they? He ponders this and other questions while he stands before the temple, fingers absently scratching his chin until an explosion caught his attention. A tiny fireball explodes skyward just beyond a hut followed by a… quite lovely, though distraught and bleeding, woman fleeing from an angry mob brandishing rocks and other weapons. “It is a witch burning! My gods, can-can’t believe I was right fo…” He stops mid thought as he watches the woman run blind right for him, without a moment to react, she struck him, spinning him right around – knocking him slightly silly for a second. He recovers to find the woman fleeing the little village followed closely by the angry mob, he decides then that food can wait. This was far more interesting, and sexy anyway.
“Well then, when in…” He mutters as he runs after the mob, waving his staff in the air to blend in, screaming ‘rabble rabble!’ as he comes up behind the mob. By then they had stopped following once she had fled past the village proper and were just milling about, commenting under their breath and throwing stones at air. Clive was becoming more and more confused by the second. “So… what’s going on in this village? No more angry mob? Come on people *claps his hands*; raise your voices to the air. Rabble, rabble and such.” He raises his staff skyward; trying to build bravado with the crowd, only to illicit several well aimed spits followed by the crowd breaking up. ”Shessh, can’t please anyone nowadays.”
Ignoring the locals, he turns back to where the woman had run off too and then notices the trail of spilled blood. He kneels down to touch it, running the fluid between his fingers. “Must be from a head wound…” He looks back to see what the crowd was doing, they were off going about their business and not paying an iota of attention to Clive. “She could have passed out… I’m not eating today am I…?” He mutters, talking himself as he regularly does. With a sigh, he stands up and follows after the trail.
After a short jog, Clive arrives at a series of bridges amongst crevasses and waterfalls. Absolutely beautiful, a picturesque paradise the likes of which one only sees on post-cards. He stops, taking a moment to gawk at the scenery, impressed. This place might be backwards but they certainly had enough eye-candy to cause sudden onset diabetes. Snapping back to the task at hand, he looks around for the trail of blood. It ends here, on the bridge over the waterfall. Confused he looks around. “Where the bloody hell…” Follows the last drops to the bridges edge, where it pooled. “Ah don’t tell me…” He looks over the side, no sign of anyone. Did she pass out and fall, throw herself off out of anguish. Either way, it seemed he was too late and let out an angry, frustrated cry, slamming his fist against the rope. “Dammit it all…” He sulks for a moment, watching the water below for any sign of the ‘witch’. It is only after a few moments, he notices someone moving down in the water, a half naked woman swimming in the crystal clear water below. Clive’s heart jumps, not out of relief for her safety but for the sheer fact she was wet and almost naked, her long dark wet hair pressed against her supple back as she swims as graceful as an otter. He steps back to catch his breath, running his hand over his eyes and down his muzzle – he notices some wetness dripping from his nose then, a speckle of blood. “Odd… didn't think that could actually happen.” Curious, but no time to worry about the budding nasal tumor, he had to make sure she was alright.
He continued to watch for a few more minutes, and when she gathered herself by a rock, Clive nearly lost it. He bit into his fist as he slinked away to watch in secret just a little longer. She was competent enough to swim; she could handle herself long enough for him to enjoy the eye-candy. The teddy bear though, what was with that teddy bear? Walking about, assisting her. That was definitely creepy; perhaps she really was a witch – which suited Clive just fine. When she began to comb herself, running it through her tail, Clive’ legs began to feel weak. This was just too much. It was as if she knew he was there and insisted on teasing and taunting him. That was it, he couldn’t take anymore, and he felt like he was going to burst hiding here. Enough creeping around like some creepy kid, he’ll pretend he arrived, following the trail of blood. It was, after all, mostly true.
Emerging from behind the foliage that he camouflaged himself in, he walked back onto the bridge above her and looked down. “Hello!?” He called. “You alright down there, I saw what happened at the village! Followed the trail of blood, need some assistance?!” That was it, D-Day, how would she react to being startled from above. Clive crossed his fingers that this would end well, very well.

A s Clive, stood there well almost salivating over the half naked boy below, Miumi was well aware he had been there he could hear the other coming shortly before he got there not to mention his teddy bear was very much alive and had seen him. While when he spoke Miumi put up a guise of being surprised as he turned, his face was priceless, As his body twitched it would reveal the wolven ears and a fanged smile which seemed to welcome all those around him to come near. As Miumi looked back, Clive would definately see an awe-inspiring face, Miumi wasn't like those people who lacked any fat to his face or had to much that made it look pudgy, in a way he had some baby fat which gave it a rounded off look which helped further hide his gender. But those eyes Miumi had were piercing yet soothing at the same time, it was like putting one hand in hot water and the other in cold, it just felt strange, as Miumi's icy blue eyes seemed milky and white as if he were blind from this distance. But they seemed so pure and innocent as did the four piercings going up and down Miumi's ear it was definately interesting looking as they glittered in the sunlight but it got better. This "girl" had a tattoo on his shoulder and it had a tattered look and even fangs to it, this girl wasn't so innocent looking anymore , he had a stamp.
Offering a gentle wave, as the other asked if he needed help he simply shook his head, he was going to be fine as slowly he rose, while he was wearing tights they were more constricting on the back then the front, hiding his gender still but it gave him a very curvy looking to him, while he raised his hand slowly his lips moved quickly as if they were in their own control suddenly flames roared from his hands spiraling around MIumi, while he spiraled within, steam was wisping off his body and slowly the leather constricted ever so slightly revealing the lower arch of his back and a little skin. Yeah it was seduction in some eyes but in Miumi's it was getting clean. While slowly he raised on his heels pushing off propeling himself from the rock as he came near the ledge his hand shot out and he threw his lower body over almost gracefully as he landed. He obviously didn't have any shame as slowly he reached into his bag pulling out a tight black shirt turning to face the other way, so the other couldn't exactly see that the woman had gone flat. As the tight shirt squished the dry bandages ot his chest, he just smiled as slowly he grabbed his leather vest slowly sliding it along his body, leaving his whole lower body unclathed and it gave him an almost modern looking fresh out of the shower look. He was definately a tease without trying.
"I'll just be a minute"
W hen Miumi spoke, most of the masculinity was never there and even when he shouted with the roar of the water-fall right there the sound was gone without a trace, so only a faint whisper would reach the other, As Miumi bent down grabbing his shoes they were leather sandals slowly sliding his feet within them as well as grabbing the bangles and sliding them onto his arms. He just smiled softly as he grabbed the long skirt like attachment sliding it along his legs until it reached the curves, he then was facing the opposite direciton shimming his hips almost mockingly until it slid past. A thin chain was held in his hand slowly sliding it through small loops which then were locked against one another holding his skirt up, as he slowly turned to face the other grabbing his bag and bear as he did. He pushed off the ground with near volanic force. As he did the small pendent that had never left his neck seemed to slide around as he came closer he looked like he wouldn't make it his hand grabbing the dirt which began to crumble slightly his feet pressing against the solid earth wall. Suddenly he pushed off his body went straight out his hands reaching up and planting themselves into the ground as he slowly came up he was doing a hand-stand while he wasn't over the rope, his skirt began to slide down giving hte other a close up of pale milky white skin which was hairless.
As he hovered his face down to the ground slowly one leg went down it would just narrowly clear the rope as he did this the other leg came down as he was arched over the rope revealing his stomach and tiny navel, slowly his body straightened up coming to a small jerk. This boy was athletic you had to give him that much. As slowly he lowered hte teddy bear to the ground a chain forming between the two near instantly as it did, the bear came to life slowly twitching it's limbs at first. As Mium is stood there before the other it kind of put into prospective how tiny and petite Miumi was, his arms and legs were slender but lined with compacted muscle, hense why he could perform the feats he had just done before the other, as he smiled again it revealed that Miumi had rather pointy teeth while the rest were normal looking as if he were much like a vampire. Running his tongue gently over the tips to feel they were sharp and clean, he was a bright looking person. As he stood there stretching slightly revealing the lower hems and fine tuned stomach as well as the well pronuced hip bones as well as the intricate v like cut which lead to the mystery question was he truly a woman or was he a man. As he streched he pulled his hair up and bound it with a delicate crimson ribbion.
"Thanks for checking on me..."
A s he spoke his voice was soft and gentle, while the teddy bear stood there starring at the other with the same icy blue eyes as he just stood there he noticed a thin trickle of blood which Miumi reached into his vest tearing a thin strip of bandage from where noe might guess had been clevage slowly wiping the blood away and letting the cloth flutter on the wind, the other had seen pale milky flesh everywhere, not a tan line or anything meaning if this person tanned they did it without clothing. Soon the teddy bear spoke in a deeper voice
"Miumi say that they are greatufl for your concern and my name is Ayamu I am their familar and weapon.."
Clive felt himself melt just a little on the inside when ‘she’ looked up to him, that delicate face that looked like fragile porcelain, accented by lupin-like ears create a portrait to die for. When his eyes met ‘hers’, those icy blue orbs that penetrated deep into Clive’s core, it was as if an explosion of sun-shine jelly filled him with warmth and mystery throughout his body. He has set his eyes on many girls in his day but there was something about this one that just was so different, so exotic, and so beautiful that it struck an entirely new chord with him. He really could not entirely understand these new feelings; it was as if he has stared into the face of a goddess. The earrings, even the tattoo, it all fit perfectly together for her. Sweet, yet just with a hint of spice mixed in there somewhere. Whatever could those villagers have been up in arms all about, just the fact that she made them all look worse then mud on a corpse?
He waited as Miumi changed, he didn’t know how ‘she’ did it but that didn’t matter, everything about this girl was magical. Why did ‘she’ tease him so? Did ‘she’ like him, certainly was implying that. This was all getting to be too much for him, such an evil temptress. “Uh… take your time!” He called, slight quiver in his voice. Nervously, his hand gripped tightly his staff beside him as he waited. ”How much longer is she going to do this to me, that tease. She’s almost worse then me! I like this…” Quickly looks down. “Little too much…” His attention is drawn back to Miumi as she performs an interesting feat. She bound up to the bridge with all the grace of an angel, or a Burmecian. Clive was impressed. He quickly hugged his staff close to his body, as if trying to channel all his bent up frustration into the staff. ”It… was no… problem.” Miumi can easily tell that Clive is scanning her with his hungry eyes, like a wolf to a delicious lamb.
However, the bear was beginning to creep Clive out. Something about it didn’t sit well with him and made him feel uneasy with its dead, glassy eyes staring back to him like a walking corpse. How was it walking, and acting as if it was alive. Was it alive? Was it edible? Then it spoke, and Clive officially went from creeped out to downright terrified of the thing, not that he could outwardly show it and look like a weakling in front of Miumi. “A familiar..?” Clive asks, slightly confused. “Uh… Hi.” He stares slacked jawed at the bear, then shakes his head clearing his thoughts and looks to Miumi. “So your name is Miumi? Name's Clive, just Clive. You sure you’re alright and what was with the villagers back there?” As he spoke, his eyes kept drifting down to the bear named Ayamu. “You don’t seem like someone who of caused that much trouble, me maybe, but I can’t imagine a reason they’d want to do something like that to someone so…” His voice trails off, mind drifting as his eyes continue to process the magnificent sight before him.

As Miumi hardly seemed to ever stop her movements, she seemed so gently and carefree, as a small crimson butterfly could be seen, it spiraled gently around Miumi landing on his outstretched finger, as it sat there, slowly Miumi brought it closer to his body as he noticed that there were black designs along the wing, they were almost like tribal markings, it was so strange to see Miumi in such a peaceful state, as few had the displeasure of witnessing Miumi was dangerous within battle, he was capable of turning the very world around him into his weapon. So a few unfortunate witnesses had managed to see and feel, one of them was a man who reeked of death and wore nothing but a giant shoot of armor, Miumi was a treacherous little snake leading the man into the lake, where Miumi knew his lightning spell would probably do the most damage. While Miumi had acted in the beginning because he didn't trust the man, that act of being blind probably had screwed with the other's head ever so slightly while it provided Miumi with an amusement that other's would find sick and twisted. Miumi had an ability that allowed him to play some people like a harp and he knew how to strike certain keys which could possibly drive some people into states of insanity. Many would call it compulsion and would say that he shouldn't abuse it's ability, but since when did children listen to their adults...
" Yes I am a demon, I come from a world all of my own, filled with death and destruction, see that tattoo on my shoulder, that is my provisional contract, because of it I am allowed to walk among your kind."
W hen Miumi spoke, his eyes were moving around slightly wildly, seeming to want to absorb everything, as the butterfly suddenly took off from his finger it flied into the air and soared away, while Miumi noticed a small raven sitting on a stone figure, Miumi smiled ever so slightly his features seemed almost peaceful, but the other continued to ask a few rather personal questions, but when the other got onto the topic of peace. As Miumi looked at the other, a brief look of pain flashed across his face, when people asked that it was like a brief slap in the fast to the small boy, as he believed that peace was always worth fighting for. As Miumi slowly felt his head, there was no dry blood but there was a slight tenderness as the wound had already sealed up, as He just sat there he thought of a way to answer the other's question without sounding like he was criticizing the man. As Miumi saw there and began to innocent gnaw on his baby pink colored lips, running his teeth along the sensitive skin letting out a small muffled groan. Slowly the words began to stir within Miumi's eyes but for once he would maintain eye contact during the conversation he looked the other dead in the eye and spoke, Miumi's voice was like a siren's for those moments. Miumi was like some people's drugs they were hooked...
" For me peace is always worth fighting for, as they say nothing in this world that you truly want can be achieved without pain... I want to be able to one day have children who can grow up where they won't be judged or harmed by others, I want a world where I can sleep and not have nightmares of losing loved ones.... I fight for those who walk now and who have walked, My parents died of a disease a eyar after they met me... it hurts to know I may of caused their life... but I fight because they taught me to try and make every day the best it can be.."
A s he spook the bear slowly nodded his head, as slowly he walked towards Clive his nails had disappeared and he seemed harmless again but the bear spoke in a rather deep voice which would change into a more childish tone which made it more innocent looking.
"Miumi suffers alot, while other's Miumi's age have been married or at least loved someone, Miumi never has the time to get that close, as Miumi travels the world to bring peace to Spira.... To protect the people he cares about..."
Clive could not understand this girl, she seemed to reclusive and yet flaunts herself in front of him like some sort of floozy. It’s insane, how she tempted and taunted him so, and if not for that creepy bear, he’d probably made a move on her by now – but then, there remains that creepy, creepy bear. Something felt peculiar and threatening about it, as if doing something toward Miumi would result in Clive being eviscerated with all the quickness and precision of a surgeon strapped to a rocket. A frightening thought, Clive saw himself as too sexy to have his insides spilled all over the ground, especially by someone as attractive as this woman. Though the irony would no be lost on him, the sheer fact that he rather stay whole outweighed copping a feel.
Miumi tosses the exotic fruit to Clive, which he catches as examines. Must be native, he concludes, they certainly didn’t have anything that looked like this in Lindblum – but was it poisonous!? No… she’s eating it, unless it’s just a clever ruse. Throwing caution to the wind, he bites into it to find its taste pleasant and sweet. Not his typical taste in fruit but he is so hungry that he hardly cares, though not a proper meal, this’ll tide him over for a little while. And as Miumi spoke about her familiar, Clive just nodded and ate, all the while not really understanding how the whole thing worked but was content enough in the explanation to realize generally what it is.
So, Clive was shown, the little teddy bear did pack a punch, a nasty slicing punch. Bet the thing wasn’t comfortable to cuddle, unless you were looking for a close shave while you slept. There must be some sort of law against something so harmless having such a deadly arsenal. “So, are you a demon?” Clive asked, sincerely. He hadn’t a clue about this ‘girl’. She had a tail, ears, fangs, all she was missing was a pelt like Clive’s and a few extra features and she’d make a strange Burmecian. “And what’s this ‘summoner’ thing?” He pauses, slacking in his stance as he points to her with the half eaten fruit in hand. “Summoners are those people that control like Aeons… and such, aren’t they? Hear they can be nasty to get on the wrong side of-“ Suddenly, Clive recoiled back as the bear spoke again, he was never going to get use to that. “Gah, stop doing that all of the sudden! It’s tripping me out. Sheesh. So Miumi, or Ayamu, whoever wants to answer? That why you came to this little village, hate to say it, but what’s the point of seeking peace if all your going to get is stones thrown at you. I’ve found people generally deserve what they ask for. Why go out of your way to do them a favor when they don’t want it?”

So this ‘demon’ was one of the goodie-two shoes bent on changing the world for the better. However admirable that may be, it’s seemed so foolish to Clive. People are ignorant, fearful, hate filled little creatures bent on invariance, sticking to the normal of killing for greed, greed for the sake of greed, and then a lifetime of misery and death. That’s how they liked it, that’s how it’ll always be. Only way to fix it was to destroy the system or to avoid it all together by living outside it’s boundary, removed from its universal laws. That’s how Clive lived, and he liked it just fine but as the saying goes, ‘different strokes for different folks’. It’ll never make sense to him to go out of ones way to help people for the sake of the good fight unless it was worthwhile to himself, anything else was playing to the universal rules that have slowly sent the world into a spiral of death and war. Yet, for now, Clive will just listen and find out more about this interesting demon.
”So,” Clive questions with a raised brow as he shifts slightly to get a better all around look at Miumi. His tail swishes slightly with curiosity and a hidden agenda. “A demon, I’ll admit I haven’t seen any demons but in my dreams, certainly didn’t look anything like you and much less never heard of a demon who sought to make peace.” He lowers his staff, the lanterns swinging close to Miumi, accenting ‘her’ fair skin with their faint blue hue. The fact that the words seemed to pain her was slightly strange to Clive, yet no matter how beautiful she may appear, he had to question such a persons drive for abstract things such a peace, it was like a strange deformity that you couldn’t but help ask questions about. “If you’re not even from here, not human or the like, why fight for a people that ostracize you because of what you are. This isn’t your world, why change it? Human,” Clive says, motioning to himself. “And believe me when I say this about humans, they are creatures not worth fight for. They’ll kill you because you look different then them, hell they’ll kill each other just cause of a slight difference in skin color. Their not much better then their perception of what a demons is.”
Clive listens as Miumi explains her position as to why she fights for peace, he still can’t help but find it a childish ideal. Clive spent his life as a disenfranchised class, under the thumb of a ruling elite, on and off the streets till he was sent to the boarding school. All this noble ideals and intentions, admirable, just seemed pointless. You can’t change the system from the outside and as long as their was gil to be made from it, it won’t change from the inside.
“I’m sorry, Miumi.” Clive kneels between her, looking up to her as now they were both at eye level. He uses the staff as support, the lanterns making little clanks as they beat against the wood. “About your parental units, my dad died fighting against Alexandria and my mom sent me away to a boarding school when I was 7. Never really got to know both of them very well, especially my dad. He kicked it before I was born. So, might not seem like it but I can kinda get where you’re coming from. But, just don’t think one person can change the system. Problems of this world are just too big for people like us to fix, we just don’t amount to a hill of beans in this crazy world. It’s an endless cycle, we’re born, we live, and then we die as all miserable little people. Unless you have got seven figures of gil or more power then the gods themselves…”
The bear speaks again, he’s starting to get use to it, though no matter how much it speaks, it’ll still sit uneasy with Clive. “We all suffer, part of what the humans call ‘the human condition’, suppose it works for demons or Burmecian’s like me. People are people after all.” Clive runs his hand on Miumi’s knee as he stands back up. “But hey, some people do care about certain people, else they wouldn’t turn down a meal to check on them, now would they. If you feel you need to put yourself in harms way for others, don’t let my disillusioned ramblings change that. I’m just kind of a nihilist on the weekends.”

WIP So your like the wind, I must be the purifying sea
A s they seemed to sit in a near peaceful silence, Miumi seemed to be starring away from the other as he turned for a moment facing the horizon. The world around them was beautiful and Miumi knew that and even appreciated it and part of him fought to protect that beauty, while slowly his hands coiled around his stomach, the other part was going to change the world for when he brought children into this world. As he just stared on the horizon, the world was so ugly when you looked at it beyond the surface, and went beyond skin deep. There were those people who didn't deserve the life and those who used their life questing for ultimate power to use it for some sick goal, those who killed ruthlessly, those who never picked up a weapon even when their lives were in danger. Miumi was none of those, Miumi was the one who had the backbone, if it came down to it he would fight. When he fought it was like watching an angel fall from the sky. It was near shocking and awe-inspiring this boy was like a drug off the battle field, those who came close and got to know him couldn't seem to get enough of him. He didn't blame them, his child like demeanor helped bring a sense of relaxation to the hatred that boiled within. He could feel the other's gaze it was nearly piercing it was like he was saying grow up.
Shortly after, Miumi focused his magical energy around him, suddenly the ground around him seemed to pulse with life as he placed his hands out, a single flame was hovering within his hand it grew into an orb, for some reason Miumi seemed to find magic so amusing turning to face the other as he spoke, Miumi wove her fingers through the fire as if it didn't hurt and it was funny Miumi's flame didn't burn him, as he traced patterns within the fire and as the other spoke, Miumi pushed and pulled the flame much like water. Even in the light it cast a glow along Miumi's skin as the other spoke, Miumi heard the other speak of how he had never seen a demon like Miumi even among the other worlds in a way, Miumi's hand clenched tightly crushing the flame, the soft sound of bones crunching could be heard. Was that a soft spot being compared to other demons? As the other came closer swinging his staff it would cast a glow of blue along Miumi's porcelain white dollish skin. As it did Miumi seemed entranced slowly reaching down stroking the skin gently with his unclenched hand, he felt the light on his skin it had an almost warm feel to Miumi. But soon the other spoke again, those icy blue eyes locking on his face as he spoke Miumi seemed to find something to say, Miumi's voice lacked the always gentle tone, it had a more powerful tone to it which seemed to hold a note of commanding respect.
" Why would I fight, and risk my life for these humans? The reason is simple, A human brought me here,An elderly couple of humans raised me. These humans live in the life of luxary and if my world ever collides with any of these places it could mean the bitter end of all life... Not all demons are like me many of them are power hungry and will kill without mercy.... I will fight but only when needed.... I also believe that no one person is good or evil but is capable of great good and great evil... Now Clive which path do you walk?
W hen the other spoke again and apologized to Miumi, coming down to his kneels before him. He seemed to try and meet his eyes which were sligthly foggy as if he were going to cry or something but part of him hurt inside he would never show it right now, not in front of his man. This man who looked at him like some kind of treasure. It was what many demons did with power and in a way it sickened him but, then it was also apparently that ever human seemed to want something they couldn't have. Some wanted to be skinny other's wanted to be rich. It wasn't always possible. His ears twitched every time the latern clanked as Miumi gazed down hearing the tale of the other, This man known as Clive lived a lonely life it appeared, As he explained to Miumi what it took to change the world, Miumi simply shook his head, no it didn't take but one person, one person who gave up their life, or fought for what they believed in and died for it. Miumi's life was replaceable by many other demons, Miumi had no true fully developed emotion and he didn't seem to fear death as much as he should, for him time ticked by very slowly. The world around him seemed to be ticking on a different clock and Miumi wanted it to stop and listen to the sound of the clock within. But no one chose to listen to a shy looking child, they chose the path of ignorance and bliss, while traveling towards their demise.
This time when his bear had spoken the other wasn't as wierd out by it, but Miumi seemed to be slightly more distant as the other spoke once more, But this time he got more physical causing Miumi to let out a small eep and blush a rather deep crimson, as the other's soft pelt slid against his skin sliding between the cracks in his clothing and against his bare skin slight up his thigh, just nearing the edges of his leather tights. As he slowly began to scoot slightly back from the touch as it caused his breathing to become really irregular, not many people touched him like that and those who did normally did it while he was out or were treating his wounds. While this time the other spoke telling his story of what he had done to help Miumi, beside coming to check on him and being a lecherous rat. It felt nice to know people did care about him, even if it was for some rather sick and personal gain, It felt nice to know that he wasn't just another face in the crowd to everyone, or simply a foul demon. Miumi had more potiental then many realized while the other had mentioned power, Miumi remembered his dream to become a summoner and defeat Sin. He looked up at the other again this time he spoke his voice was sweet and serene but it held a elf like edge which could make someone shift around easily.
" The power, I will use will be the aeons... I will become a summoner despite being a demon and being hated, I will use that power to protect those who hurt me and those I love.... I will place my life on the line to ensure peace for this generation and the children.... no one deserves to suffer no matter what they've done wrong...
A s he spook the bear slowly nodded his head, as slowly he walked towards Clive again just gently petting the other before he spoke again.
" Miumi has dreams that will take any months to complete but Miumi believes Miumi can change the world... I believe Miumi can as well, it takes but one soul to make the difference you just have to believe? So Clive do you believe in Miumi. "
Clive watched with curiosity as Miumi played with the flame in ‘her’ hands, he was impressed, so the ‘girl’ was a mage of sorts as well. Suppose it shouldn’t be surprising all things considering, especially with that strange teddy walking and talking about, like some perverted child’s toy. Miumi must have a strange personality to think something like this was a good body-guard. Well, certainly would fool the best into thinking it was purely harmless. For how much Miumi spoke of peace and helping people, she certainly had a unique idea on how to bring about peace. Don’t see how a teddy-bear filled with blades is a weapon of peace, but who is he to question this choice. Just pretend to understand its purpose. Then she spoke again, more forceful this time, backed with an aura of power. Certainly was bit of a change to her previous demeanor, and her odd question at the end, that was a tricky question for Clive to answer.
”Hmm, ‘which path do you walk’,” Clive pondered the question, lowering his head in though, clutching his staff close to his body while his hand rubbed the end of his chin. He relaxes one foot, crossing it over the other while using the staff for support. “I just kinda walk my own path; I don’t buy into that good or evil, black and white bull. Everything is perspective, you know, ‘one mans terrorist is another’s freedom fighter’ so why put labels on things? Clive is just Clive, floating like a mote of dust on a wind I steer.” He attempts a moment of philosophical prowess. “I do what I want, when I want, how I want. I’m smart, capable, and most importantly I am completely free in all ways everyone else is not. The system has no power on me.”
He felt smug in that statement, it summed him up quite nicely. He was everything people wanted to be, even if they didn’t want to admit it. A completely free creature, nothing bothered him, he wasn’t afraid of making a first impression if he didn’t want to. He didn’t need a resume, a mundane life of working till death, or fearful that the law may come down on him. He couldn’t be contained, always finding a way out of any situation with little more then a few scratches and some burned fur. Be it because of fate, luck, or a damn combination of both, he felt free in this world. It was an amazing feeling, a beautiful life that only death could conquer.
Then, she said something that made absolutely no sense to Clive. “You’d help those that hurt you? Ok, you must have a concussion.” He leans in close to stare into her eyes, looking for signs of a concussion. “Nope, you’re just right crazy then!” He jokes. “You really haven’t seen much of the world yet, have you? There are plenty of people that deserve exactly what’s coming to them. Some people are just bastards.” He explains. “Like the bastards doctors that’ll let children die cause their orphans or their family doesn’t have the gil to pay or the nobles which kick and beat the miserably poor just because they can. And don’t even get me started on the states which treat their citizens like parasites.”
Then the bear spoke again, that strange bear. Clive shrugs, unsure, truly he was. He didn’t know what he believed about Miumi, infact he just met her and aside from being the most attractive thing he’s probably ever seen, he didn’t know much more about her. “Well, creepy bear, all I can say is that if it is what one believes, that they can make a difference then perhaps they can. I’ve personally never seen it, hell, half the time when people take it upon themselves to change the world all they end up doing is coming full circle. But, I believe that Miumi can indeed try, never hurts to try – most of the time. So,” Changing the subject. “Where you staying? The village seems to have kicked you right out soooo, where you going from here?”

"Me, I'm dishonest. And a dishonest man you can always trust to be dishonest. Honestly, it's the honest ones you have to look out for."
A s the other seemed lost within thought, Miumi stood up and slowly coiled her hands around his and would just gently tug him, it was obvious she wanted to keep moving, as he moved with a grace that was delicate, as the fiends lurked within the night. Her hips swaying delicately as he walked in a very tempting fashion, but it was also probably noticeable that she didn't try. As they walked the roar of the waterfalls they passed seemed to help ease the tenseness of the situation as Miumi walked closer to the water running her hands along the surface. As he reached up pulling down a small piece of fruit from a low hanging tree, sniffing it once or twice. As they walked she would munch quietly on the fruit. The other hadn't really begun to talk to much yet so Miumi felt like it was a pretty good time to keep the world around them moving. As they walked the sun had seemed to have passed by quickly while it had been like noon when they met it was slowly beginning to tick by. It was maybe one by now but the horizon and the ocean seemed to highlight the darkness as well as the light. As a single butterfly floated near Miumi and then a small rabbit burst from the brush and came near Miumi, they saw something within him alot of animals loved this fragile child. He crouched down and stroked the bunnies soft coat.
The bunny was slowly picked up and was being petted softly by Miumi, while a deep seated hunger could be see within Miumi's eyes he resisted the hunger and smiled as he brought the bunny to the teddy bear who was petting it as well, but soon another few bunnies emergied and he could also feel the small thing's heart beat begin to beat quickly almost fluttery. Slowly Miumi would kneel down upon one knee might like a knight did before a king. Placing the small rabbit against the ground for the moment, the rabbit hovered near Miumi's feet before it reluctantly returned to the rest of it's family seeming to smile and wave it's ears at Miumi. Those soft fragile blue eyes seemed to glitter with a hope that seemed to remind others of a child. As he stood there looking at the bear, the other was beginning to talk but Miumi kept walking listening to the other as she moved. She was going down a dirt path which was surrounded by thick brush as she moved she would smile harmlessly her house was near by in two ways she lived among the ruins of both the former city and the cave. As she spiraled into the dark canopy of a small path, the butterfly of crimson seemed to glow dangerously almost like blood it was a tempting looking target. But this was the angel that was known as Miumi as he seemed so helpess as he moved he held the power to change worlds.
"The wind is nice, but look at Sin it kills people, makes fiends and causes havoc... there is no one who finds it good.. it attacks it's own kind as well. "
W hen Miumi spoke, his body pivoted dramatically around a corner as he disappeared down the path, a single fiend stepped within his way, Miumi's hand flew outwards the loud crackling noise of lightning could be heard clearly, as it glowed within the boy's palm, the fiend would jump at him, it was a dingo. As Miumi condensed the magical energy within his hand he slammed it forward and the beast let out a low whimper as the electrical energy began to go crazy and actually exploded sending the fiend flying through the ground it would probably almost land on Clive. The body was disconfigued horribly, the skin was burnt in many places and the body had bones protruding at weird angles. It wasn't even moving when it hit the ground, as it's stomach had a hole gaping through it. As Miumi kept walking as if nothing had happened. As he just slowly turned down the final stretch walking across the path he walked towards the cliff, he saw the small glowing blue flower he had loved so much and slowly turned around hiding the flower behind his back, it was a glowing blue lily. As he just sat down he placed it between his legs, as the other would probably still follow her, to the ends of this earth. As the soft wind swept around her it looked almost relaxing. She watched some of the fiends swim down below they were hungry but no one offered to feed their lust for blood.
" No person deserves his to suffer.... I believe that judgement will be cast one day, I have taken that task within my own hand against a man who tried to kill me.... He found out that even hulking metal armor, a wicked blade and a demonic wolf can't stop me....
A s he spook the bear slowly nodded his head, as slowly he walked towards Clive again just gently petting the other before he spoke again.
" Miumi has no fear of death... Miumi has fought again foes fifty feet tall and come out alive...Miumi tries to be strong when other's cant.... Miumi truly is a light within the darkness...."
Clive found Miumi and the bunnies a curious spectacle, how they almost appeared to be drawn to ‘her’ by some otherworldly phenomena. He paused in their walk to observe her behavior with the leporidae, seeing ‘her’ delicate hand softly stroking the fragile looking little creature. It was a touching sight, to say the least – almost can draw a parallel between her and the rabbit. So fragile, so innocent, now for the question, does ‘she’ share other traits with the rabbit. Call Clive perverted if you must but that is how he thought, couldn’t go more then a few minutes without some sort of deranged thought. He approached quietly behind Miumi, looking over ‘her’ as ‘she’ petted the creature, his lanterns swinging just over ‘her’ head, bathing the two in a blue glow. He remained silent through all this, quite an accomplishment for Clive, to remain still and silent for more then a few moments but he was just too caught up in watching what Miumi was going to do with the little bunny. He had no idea what to expect, he could snap the poor things neck as much as continue to act lovingly towards it, for all Clive knew. He couldn’t figure out this strange creature, like an alien being sent from the moon to interact with the natives. Just peculiar enough to be foreign, mundane enough to be typical but never being too far left or right on the line of normality. Once ‘she’ let the rabbit go back to it’s the others of its kind, and for a brief moment it appeared that the rabbit acknowledged Miumi. Clive dismissed it as a trick of the mind and continued with Miumi down the path.
“I still have no idea what this ‘Sin’ is, I keep hearing things about it but no one has given me a straight answer. All I know is it’s big, summoners try to kill it, and it destroys things. That’s the extent of my knowledge on the subject of Sin.” It was true, Clive is completely lost on this Sin creature. Everyone talks about it but no one says anything. It was beginning to get frustrating; all he wanted was a straight answer. “Can someone please tune me into what’s going on in this country?” Yet before he can get the answer he sought, Miumi darted away, vanishing around a corner. Clive groaned out in frustration and confusion, what was ‘she’ up too now?
As he built up the will to follow after, a crackle and blast of electricity rang out in the air, Clive knew that sight and sound well, it practically coursed through his veins. Clive darted after Miumi, afraid a fiend got the jump on ‘her’, only to receive a smoldering Dingo landing at his feet once he rounds the bend. This, Clive concluded, was impressive beyond any doubt. Maybe Miumi could help him out on his journey as well, with electrical control like that; he couldn’t turn up the opportunity but before he could stop her, Miumi was already walking away like in a trance. He rubs his forehead, this was one strange girl.
”There she goes. One of God’s own prototypes. Some kind of high powered mutant never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.” Clive mumbles to himself as he watches Miumi walk down the path, then decides it would probably be a good time to catch up and jogs after her, catching up to the strange ‘girl’ as ‘she’ come to a cliff where she sat down with a lily on her lap. “Back there *huff* that was amazing!” Clive exclaims, but quickly shuts up when she speaks again, almost appearing as if she didn’t hear him, or was caught up too deeply in her own thoughts. ”Hulking metal? Demonic wolf? Who the hell do you hang around with? Not that after witnessing that magic I’d second guess the suicidal sounding nature of your endeavors.” When the bear spoke, Clive was more curious as to how, with its tiny little legs, it is able to keep up so well. “Yeah, I’m starting to get the picture here. You think you could teach me that little lightning trick? My magic is kinda… unstable, hard to consecrate it to stronger levels. I’m just mostly a live wire dancing over a pool of standing water.”

A s a soft look crossed Miumi's face as he spaced out during the walk and the speech, He held the flower within his lap and slowly stood up as the other came closer just placing the flower within his hair for some reason. As the other asked about that power that Miumi managed to use with such ease, it was partly because of his origins. But he wouldn't give that up. As he smiled and nodded his head and began to walk before he stood near the entrance to the beach, which would become a scarred battle ground when they were done. As Miumi walekd he seemed deep within thought his body began to relax as he rolled his hips and his shoulders almost purposely. He slowly reached back his leg coming up stretching the muscles, till he felt the warmth of his blood pulsing through them rapidly. The look on Miumi's face seemed to show this would not be an easy path for the other to take. As he fiddled undoing that long ponytail and twirled his hair and then brought into a spiral bun and bound it all together. He seemed to be preparing for the path before them.
"You must come like you plan to kill me or you will learn nothing. Hold back nothing... I can take more then you think... but the power you wish will not be easy to obtain.
Clive wondered what he just got himself into and what it could bring. On one hand, he really needs to learn more magic and how to control it, but on the other, this ‘girl’ could be extremely dangerous. Why was she also so willing to help him with this, it was more just an off hand comment he made, he didn’t expect her to actually take him up on it. Yet, after seeing what she did to the dingo, maybe she really can hold her own better then one could think possible.
Clive nods in agreement. “If that’s what you need me to do, I’ll certainly will. Though, just for the record, it is an odd request and you requested it. Want to make sure your bear knows that as well – not big into being eviscerated by stuffed animals. So where do we do this? Here? Just tell me when we begin, sensei.” He bows in an asian manner, grinning with both excitement and intense interest.
