A fragile angel, was always alone, he was isolated because of the way he appeared and for what he was in everyone's eyes, a monster something that couldn't survive without killing while it was far from the truth, many chose to believe the words that people spoke about him. As he sat upon the rough stone of a ruin that was more likely to give way they support him, but part of him wanted that, if he could just plummet to his death he wouldn't have to worry about those strange looks, the harsh whispers and the constant taunting by children and adults alike. While those negative thoughts coursed through his mind, a small fragile teddy bear beside him turned to face him and even coiled soft arms around him. This monster beside him was the only thing that had ever truly loved him as it gently stroked the side of Miumi's arm with fuzzy paws which caused soft goose-bumps to erupt over the skin rapidly much like a torrent of archer's arrows. He turned his head slightly to face the creature offering a soft smile, as if to say everything was okay, when all he was doing was lying to himself it hurt to know he was unwanted, but he didn't feel the sadness that many others would of felt.
Instead he felt wetness, A single tear had fallen from his eye and was sliding down his porcelain face, he brought a single pale finger towards the tear gathering it on the tip before flicking it off into the ocean that threatened to swallow him below. To anyone walking by at the time all they would see was a lump that could of been stone as he remained huddled at the top of the ruin. He liked this quiet, no one was calling him a demon or a fiend. It was the silence he craved, as when you were alone no one could truly hurt you. Or they could try and fail miserably. As the gentle night wind began to blow around him causing his hair to flair outwards dancing upon the wind as if it were thousands of little hands. It was this embrace that he wanted to know that he was loved and cared for. As those pale almost ghostly white eyes gazed ahead. This was what it was like to live a life of solitude and this life wasn't meant for someone like Miumi, he required love and compassion like they had given him. For a brief moment sharp pain radiated through his chest.
That had been his fault, he had brought disease to the only people who have ever loved him, they had died merely weeks after knowing who he was. As he just sat there his pale smooth hand flew up towards his neck, tracing the gentle golden chain, his finger tickling his own neck causing him to gasp slightly as if he were excited about something. Soon his hand was rubbing over the smooth surface of a glass pendent, His slightly long nails which had been painted over in tones of black, traced the small golden letters which had been painstakingly carved into the glass. As his nail traced the thin cursive lettering, he felt pain in his chest. The name was forever burned within his mind. Sola Harou, the one person who had been able to call mother. It hurt to know that he was the single cause of her death that he couldn't go back in time and fix her with what he had learned. It would of been nice to do so and it would of helped mend the wound.
As he sat there as still as a statue for some odd reason it was if he was pondering what he could to for redemption. He had heard talk of something called Sin, a creature who was trying to kill innocent people and required a summoner to destroy. As that thought ticked within his mind the small companion of his was giving him a wary look which seemed to say be careful where you treed. As he just smiled carelessly revealing glistening white teeth and some fangs. Licking some of them carefully he was obviously planning to escape from this hellish style of life. He had a plan to make them see that not all demons were evil, by offering up his own life to go on a journey which may very well kill him. As he smiled it was the thought that made him happy. He could go down making a difference. As he slowly rose upwards his feet standing on a narrow ledge no thicker then his foot. He looked towards the moon which for a moment grazed his skin giving him an almost glowing complexion. It was going to be his time to shine above the rest. He had a dream now to become a summoner.
"I have a dream... I will become a summoner so people will respect me.""
W hen those words leaft his lips. His companion couldn't help but manage a small smile through the wiry stitched lips. Which had begun to fray slightly. For a brief moment in the blink of an eye a small chain could be seen flowing from Miumi's wrist to the creature, it followed his quake as if he had no will of his own. No this creature had a will, it had a mind and a soul. They were in essence at times one and the same being. As Miumi walked the soft crunch of leather hitting stones was all that comforted his restless soul. As he moved he could feel the tug of the leather straps which ran delicately up his legs. They were made so he could run and twist his legs in a variety of positions with ease. But he stumbled slightly managing to fall onto the ledge. He turned around looking at his legs. Their were some interesting twines to it. As he slowly balanced himself by twisting his weight to one side causing him to fall down to the next ledge which was only about a foot below. It was thicker and had enough room for Miumi to lay down or at least sit.
As he sat he reached down feeling his own leg, making sure there were no breaks or bruises, he seemed almost peaceful as he sat there without the wind billowing around him. As he reached down he noticed a single strap had come undone, he would carefully pull off the rest of the straps and then adjust his foot and slide one of them through his middle toe, so that he could walk correctly. As he did he traced the thin heeled part of the sandal, it was comfortable to walk in that much was sure. As he gently began to spiral the straps around his leg so they were tightly woven around each other leaving small slivers of pale white flesh visible on his lower legs. As they reached towards the small metal locks, the small clicks as they latched into the leather with small teeth was comforting to Miumi's sensitive ears. As he would slowly rise upwards again looking down to the next place he could go. Seeing none that looked to comfortable he just smirked and would walk a single step forward. His plumet began, but his weight brought him towards the wall placing his feet out he began to actually slid down the slanted building.
The stone figures were rushing by as if time itself were simply holding it's breath. As a window was coming up Miumi hadn't been expecting it and flew through as he did the water below was his sanctuary, as he fell down into it, the deeper depth of it was surprising as it swallowed him alive, His teddy bear had disconnected it's chain as Miumi feel but Miumi had managed to launch him into the sand so he was safe from the moisture. As Miumi sunk deeper slightly disoriented he was starring upwards the eyes were soft and gentle and almost fading. As his hair danced around him threatening to ensnare him into the darkness which was death. A part of him began to fight against it. As his limbs began to kick and squirm. He had a goal, he wasn't going to die here. As he kicked his feet to get towards the surface, he could feel his lungs they were burning for that oxygen they craved so badly. With a sudden in hale of air has burst through the layers of water. He looked ahead the look of worry was plastered across the companion of Miumi. He knew that he had worried the poor thing.
He would float for a few moments barely moving his arms and legs to stay afloat as he was inhaling as much air as he possibly could, till the point where his lungs seemed to be burning. He was a few feet out into the sea and the waves were crashing down on him rather harshly. He remembered focusing a bit of magic and suddenly pillars of ice began to form across the ice. Since he didn't have the energy or the patients to swim. They were breaking down quick becoming floating platforms. As Miumi slowly slammed his arms onto a frigid one his skin sticking for a moment as he pulled his weight up quickly. His body temperature was dropping from the spell he had used. He began to quickly move, his movements were quick precise and graceful, unlike many. He leapt from platform to platform letting himself slide and then leap at the very edge. In around a minute he had reached the shore of the beach panting softly. Before he chanted a single word which caused fire to dance gently over his skin, dissolving the water from his body and clothing before disappearing. He wasn't as stupid as some people thought he was.
"I will change the world. "
A s he stood there silently looking at himself in the mirror like eyes of the teddy bear, his eyes were a ghastly icy blue and almost a perfect shade of milky white like he was blind, but then there were splotches of other colors like yellow green and gray which were speckled along his eye giving him an exotic appearance. His hair was slick from the water and was still drying a little, but it was long and black going down to his knee-caps easily seeming to drift around him with a sense of elegance. He would fish around in his pockets getting a long crimson ribbion before pulling his hair upwards and pulling it into a long pony-tail giving him a dangerously sleek appearance. He looked at his clothing it was simple. A long leather dress like appendage which covered his entire lower body when he stood perfectly still, but when he moved it revealed nice long cuts going mostly all the way up to his thighs, which allowed him to move his legs completely instead of having to walk a certain set distance until the cloth would end up restraining him. Then the tights underneath which were just comfortable.
Tracing his hand subconsciously across the chain linked belt, He was wearing a tight black-shirt which was covered by a hooded leather vest. As he shook his body faintly one could see the demonic looking wolf ears which were perched on the top of his head. Then the wag of his tail reminded him he wasn't completely normal. As he would lift up the small teddy bear from the ground, It was his weapon placing it upon his shoulder. He remembered pushing off the ground and leaping onto the ledge using some small lost crates. His body disappeared among the brush and would soon reappear on the other side leaping down into the main beach. He was heading towards the town of Besaid, He had a business to do which involved going into the temple. He was going to pray to the fayth as many other's did but he was praying for the ability to protect those who he cares about, and cure the damage other's had done. He wasn't greedy while his reasons were self-centered to a degree he did just want to be loved. As he walked he could hear the sound of the fiends. This is why they had guardians.
"So this is why you need a guardian, since there are so many fiends. Please let me get to the town safely."

"did you see that sync! he like jumped off that pillar!" he shouted as sync flew next to him, Bay had no such elegance heading for the beach. Bay was 19 but still acted immature fascinated by such silly things. Sync his companion, a proud hawk with brown and white feathers seemed happy to follow his friend around as long as he got fed, at least that what bay thought. The bond between Bay adn Sync was a strange one, Sync would stick by him when fighting and when alone or scared but when all was safe would fly alone up into the sky before returning. Sync always seemed to find towns and people before him and sometimes Bay wondered if the hawk had more to it then just his good training skill.s.
When he started training Sync there was a rocky relationship which included a lot chasing, clawing and biting. But eventually sync seemed won over by Bay, Bay had always been alone, never having any friends Sync was like a god send, he didn't judge and stuck by him. The bird was graceful in its flight with gently wing beats onlya few centimeters above Bay. They'd only arrived to this place because he hitched a ride on the wrong boat but he figured he could finally find a coat! he'd eben travelling in desert clothes for ages and he was freezing! 'why is everywhere freezing!' he thought while buying it, but now he was out of money, he'd been given only a little money to survive so now he had to work. Wasn't so bad he simply camped around.
Him and sync were just heading for the beach to set up camp there when he'd seen that guy or girl jump! He'd been so amazed and shocked that he'd forgot about fire wood and was now running his socks off to see. He felt sand beneath his shoes, usually running in sand was impossible but he'd grown up ina desert this was easy. His steps were heavy as he approached slowing as he saw some fiends nearby, thye hadn't seen him or had and were leaving his alone for now. He glared at there direction before carrying on towards the person but as he got closer he saw them burstout the water, he stood there and was about to ask if he wanted to help but when the ice exploded his mouth fell open in shock "hey sync their a mage too" he whispered kinda happy, but he felt a little jelouse, he could never get that work! most he'd get would be maybe a jiggle of the ground if he was lucky. His black hair tousled around as he watched how elegant they were his face red ear to ear he was so jelouse he could never do anything so cool! And it kind of annoyed him sync, flew ahead and over the persons head before returning to him and his feathers were all splayed out threateningly. bay blinked "whats wrong buddy?"
Bay continued to stand there as they made it to the beach "hey are you ok?" he called getting closer but sync was acting weird, he cawed and flew off his shoulder aiming straight for the guy, it went towards him and pulled at his hair to tell him to go away but bay was confused "sync leave him alone!" he said running over to bat the stupid bird away, he got closer and batted at sync to ake him back off "hey i'm sorry he's not usually that bad around people" he said offering a hand out to help him up.But retracted his hand in surpirse when he saw the teddy bear move! "wh..what the hell is that man?!" he said staring at it, it was a teddy bear and it was moving. 'Well thats something you don't see everyday' he said rubbing his head, then he noticed something odd, he was all white and hiseyes were weird... there were no pupills 'is he blind? nah he can't be he made those jumps way to quickly'.
He stood there kind of dumb struck he'd heard of weird but this was something else. "uh i asw you jump down are you ok?" he asked rubbing his head.
Two summoners had passed throug Besaid on their pilgrimige thus far. Another comes.
But outside of the village Besaid is not a very safe place. Fiends stalk the forests, particularly at night. Just watching and waiting to pounce. It is said that on Gaia, only the monsters of Spira have a different origin. Monsters on Spira, were the ghosts of the dead, turned by dark emotions into malevolent mirrors of their former selves. Eventually disgarding the human shape completely. Watching the Lucavi summoner, and the new person on the scene was a fang. Stalking in the shadows of the lush greenery. It watched, its fellow pack members were working their way around the other sides, moving in for an ambush.
A scent caught on the wind, told the fang that its pack members were in place. Already drool was begining to drip from its open jaws, awaiting the taste of the flesh in front of it. It lundged forwards, landing in front of the two. Growling and slowly walking forwards.
A herding tactic. It would move the group backwards as it moved forwards. Closer to the others. They then emerged from the bushes. An ambush.
Battle VS Fang x4.
Description: A very basic battle with no specific word count. RP defeating the Fangs and you will be rewarded accordingly.
I t was looking more and more like this world seemed to hate him more then he could imagine. As soon as he landed on the beach a couple of figures began to move towards him and all he saw was a hawk begun to rush towards him. His teddy bear was about ready to grow the claws it could use but Miumi willed against it and would bring his arms up to cover his face. Soon he felt something hitting him as well causing him to open those icy eyes and stare through thin cracks he could see the guy was attempting to get the hawk off of him. Though once the feeling of pain faded from his system the teddy bear relaxed slightly but Miumi smiled moving his hand in a small gesture the teddy bear leapt onto his shoulders. As Miumi stood there he was just so quiet, it was hard to tell Miumi was a boy just being this close to him, his face was child like and held a porcelain like nature giving him the fragile appearance that he could be broken easily. But years of fighting to survive and living as a somewhat social outcast among people who believed he was a spawn of sin. He just smiled softly at the other revealing the tips of curved fangs it was barely noticeable due to the fact his other teeth helped hide it but if he would of opened his mouth you would of seen that it was obvious.
As he finally calmed down he just leaned slightly forward to get another look at the person it was quite obvious that he was just a few years older then Miumi himself as he just stood there with a slightly deterred look as the other was still taller then Miumi. But those icy eyes upon closer inspection by the other would probably reveal that he had blue eyes at one point but they had faded down, no truth was when he was created it was a feature he was blessed with. Slowly the smile on his lips fade as he looked down at his arms, thin crimson lines were obvious against his pale flesh it wasn't blood but it had managed to do enough damage to raise the skin slightly. It was at this point he was slightly beginning to despise the hawk and suddenly the idea of something like chicken in his belly. Shortly after that thought crossed his mind, he licked his lips slightly as if trying to moisten them from the salty sea water; secretly he was thinking about the food until he was mentally slapping himself in the face, maybe this was guilt or the fact people already hated him. He didn't need to make it worse and if he wanted a guardian he might need to make friends with this boy. Since he would need someone to accompany him within the temple of Besaid. If only as a friend, despite that being against the rules that they preached.
"I'm fine, and that thing is Ayamu, my traveling companion.."
H is voice filled the air with a gentle tone which reminded many of a caring mother who had just seen a child fall and scrape their knee. It was hard to believe a "demon" was capable of such serenity and that essence of frailty. As he just listened to the world around him, he couldn't hear the fangs even with his strange ears, which were concealed under his long black hair much like the human ears would be if he had even had them. But soon the gentle breeze would fly through the air he just smiled softly as he seemed happy as gentle shafts of moonlight painted his skin giving an almost glowing quality. This boy wanted to embark upon a journey that was going to be hard yet he looked as if he couldn't handle himself within combat. Then if he brought this boy along as a friend or a guardian, it wasn't looking to great thus far but who knew maybe they could bring the world it's peace if they worked as a team. It might take practice but suddenly he let out a small gasp as he was facing on direction he could see the fangs who leapt out from behind the boy. His hands raised suddenly a sudden glow appeared upon his hands. It was the spell known as fire and it glittered dangerously within his hands. He just remembered the orb then flying from his hand clashing into the group of fangs. Soon their howls of anguish pierced the air.
Then the smell would hit them with almost devastating force, the smell of burning hair and skin lingered slightly, despite being only slightly adept in magic two fangs weren't two hard when they were so close together he had managed to hit two with one shot. But then he moved slightly closer to the other not knowing if more were lurking but little did he know there were two right behind him. While his teddy bear was transforming thread was unraveling from his lips allowing them to see the razor sharp teeth within. A soft voice echoed from the bear from just a moment like he was clearing his throat. His nails would extend slightly stretching the fabric which tore slightly revealing three inch nails of pure steel which looked quite deliciously painful. As the bear remained on Miumi's shoulders it stilled looked cute until those black eyes began to slowly slide upwards revealing almost human like eyes of icy blue. Those eyes blinked once or twice before they began to focus on the boy, the bear actually offered the boy standing infront of Miumi a smile. It was reflecting Miumi's personality with more boldness then Miumi could manage, while he saw it his face turned a slight shade of crimson. Reaching up slowly he just gently slapped the bear's head as if saying knock it off. In the end he got a short growl but it ceased quickly, it was obvious he understood that he needed to stop. Instead of him speaking this time the bear spoke, his voice was like Miumi's only thicker and stronger and more formal.
"Young man, my master requires a guardain, as he is traveling to the Besaid Temple to become a summoner, he wishes for you to be his guardian."
A s the teddy bear spoke with a regal like tone, Miumi was looking at the ground he couldn't bear to look the other in the eye it was obvious he was beyond embarrassed at this moment. He must of been oblivious to the world behind him. Until he could hear it, he could hear the sound of the fangs getting closer, as they pushed against the ground it made a distinctive noise as moist sand was pushed around, but this time Miumi didn't do anything, he wanted to see if the boy could fight, since if this guardian couldn't fight right he knew that the boy would only drag him downwards and he would spend more time as a summoner protecting his own guardian. Though as the sound was obviously loud he would pivot moving behind the boy, as if he was going to use the other as a shield, no Miumi was going to test him with this. He was already pale but using mana exhausted him slightly giving him an even more ghastly apperance letting himself breath rather heavily as if saying that simple spell combined with the one from earlier had drained him.
'whats with this kid?' he thought watching him, he was almost silent just standing there, kinda weird really how old was he? 'he looks younger then me' he though trying to think not even corssing his mind it was a demon. Bay had ashured himself demons weren't real and anyone that looked like one was just different so considered weird. He was not happy with sync 'whyd he just freak out like that' he wondered but his eyes couldn't leave that teddy... if demons didn't exhist he wasn;'t sure how to explain something like that. He shook his head to shake his thoughts away. Sync looked as if he was about to go for a nother go at the kid but bay waved his hand three times in a downward motion and sync flew back onto his shoulder. "i'm real sorry about sync he doesn't usually freak out like that" he said rubbing the back of his head.
Listening to him made little difference he didn't know what a mothers tone was, he wasn't grown to a caring world but he was fine with that. What was stumping him was whether this was a guy or a girl, "hey i don't mean to sound like rude or anything but are..." he hadn't managed to finish when he ehard sync caw loudly and fly up, that made Bay on edge emediatly only to be followed by a gasp by the other he saw it the fang.. 'wait not one fang two... .' he thought staring at the fangs infront pulling his blade loose to see the mage infront was already doing a spell or something 'fire! but thats what i can do... well sort of' he thought feeling jelouse again he'd never beeen able to get that right!
He blinked twice as the bear spoke and he thought it looked creepy at first now that would haunt him forever but it didn't sound mean or horrible it sounded pretty classy 'wait a minute a summoner?' he was thinking over it "i dunno anything abo..." he got cut off swiveling round at the snarl and call of sync "theres more!" he shouted out gritting his teeth. Two looking pretty hungry , he took a deep breath and did some sort of sign with his hands with his pinky and index finger up and then pointed to the one on the right. SUddenly sync dive bombed him and started clawing and biting at its eyes to keep it busy.
He put his hands together and focused ahrd "ok come on" he muttered putting his hands up but nothing was comeing 'ah come on!' he thought as the otehr fang ran at him to jump and knock him down but Bay wasn't out yet, his hands glowed red as the fire consumed them and he grabbed onto its face making it abck off his then revealed a dagger and stuck it between the fang neck making it go right through, as it dropped to the ground he looked over to see how sync was, he had blinded it in one eye but had backed off.
He ran at it shoved his fireing hand to its throat slitting it at the same time but he'd misjudged it slightly and there was a scratch down his right arm but it wasn't a breakage. When it finally fell Bay had blood down his front 'damn it' he thought wiping his head from sweat with his clean arm looking over his right arm "are you ok?" he asked putting his bloodied knife in its sheath, he'd have to clean it later.
"i uh i wouldn't mind helping you but i don't really have much knowledge about the temple of besaid or summoners" he said admitdly he wouldn't meet eye contact at his obviouse weakness , well his lack of knowledge as well as the embarrasment of not being able to do fire spells well at all!

The last Fang looked up at you with fading vision. Knowing that in some way or another it had failed. Today it had become the prey. Bt there was no regrets in this ones mind. Not like humans. It had tired to eat and had failed. Such was the way of life in the wild. A lesson harshly learned. Its eyes remained open even in death. Glaring at its last vision of the mortal world. The summoner....and perhaps...a would be guardian. Nearby lay the village of Besaid, although the village was filled with friendly humans. The people were awfully superstitious. Living in a jungle, with fiends all around.
An odd, and foriegn looking summoner would likely rouse suspisions. Perhaps...they'd even deny them entry into the temple. Nevermind the hymn of the fayth.
So there lay a question ahead....would the summoner risk walking into a village of angry and superstious people? Or would he find a way around this. As for the would be guardian. He had a hard decision to make....would he accompany this summoner? Protect them from all harm? Become one of the living legends amongst Spiran society? Decisions needed to be made. But time was on your side.
Choice Event: 1, Go to Besaid village 2, Sneak into the temple
I t was interesting watching the other fight, he combined his magic with physical assults, giving Miumi ideas for later as he just smiled softly. When the other asked if he was okay he just smiled before he noticed the other was slightly scuffed up but holding his own against two much like Miumi had it made him smile. As Miumi stood there his soft features were twisted slightly for a moment as he looked at the teddy bear who only nodded his head. As Miumi slowly reached down into his pocket on the vest he pulled out a long crimson ribbion, it was easily able to coil around his wrist. He pulled his hair upwards temporarily revealing his ears as he adjusted it, soon after he would pull the thing into a taunt looking pony tail which from this prospective looked quite painful. As he just giggled softly for a moment as he looked at the other, He just seemed happy for some reason it was obvious Miumi had long made up his mind as he just looked at the other for a moment Miumi's eyes hardened like he was truly a demon. When he spoke his voice radiated power and commanded respect it wasn't soft or shy, this choice he was giving the other would affect his own life. It would tie them together in a way that only guardian and summoners could be. It was up to him though would he chose to come along or would Miumi find his guardian else where.
"I'm fine, but now you have a choice to make, if you become my guardian, you will have a long journey with many dangers ahead of you, but by putting your life on the line your offering this world a chance for peace. I have already chosen my path and if you wish to come. I suggest we get there before day break. As we are sneaking into the temple as they are spiteful towards me as a "demon or spawn of sin." I will prove them wrong my kind are not all killers by bringing the peace they crave. "
H is voice filled the air with a regal tone, as he finished he began to walk it was obvious the other would have little time to think as Miumi didn't have the time to play around on the beach and wait. Every moment he needed to get to that temple and through it before the break of dawn. He would prove them that even a Lucavi could become a summoner. As he just smiled softly he seemed content as he walked quickly up the beach, in mere moments he was already nearing the jungle path. Turning one more time to face the other. Waiting to see if he would come or not. If he chose not to Miumi wouldn't really blame him as he wasn't quite sure of the journey he was going to embark upon. But he believed that he could bring peace to this world, he could earn the respect and love of the people. He believed that no one deserved to suffer and he would bring them peace. He would also help put those who were killed by Sin find their peace by performing a sending if he truly must. This was Miumi's dream and his journey but he didn't want to walk the path alone.
" Ayamu do you think he will come? " I believe he will make the choice that is within his heart and that he will do something " That doesn't help to much now does it?
" a guardian?" he put his finger to his lips in thought. 'why did this sudddenly come out i've only known the guy five seconds' he thoughgt rubbing his head. Sync landed on his shoulder pulling at his hair as if not wanting to but Bay had been thinking carefully he looked to him and sighed rubbing his front reasuringly "hey i dunn..." he blinked he was already going! Already about a 5 minute sprint away! 'not giving me much of a thought is this guy' he honestly had little idea of what a summoner really did or what a guardian was ment to do, obviously protect someone so... he'd do it.
"sync fly up" he said pushing his shoulder forward to make him fly and scooped his bag checking it over quickly well there was enough food for a little while it couldn't be too far right? As he was checking through it his hand fell upon the piece of paper, the photo of his parents he smmiled lightly "looks like i'm following your footsteps after all" he laughed loudly "man i'm probably gonna regret this" he said sprinting still holding the photo in his hand and the bag on his shoulder he sprinted, sync keeping surveillance overhead. 'but a demon? he can't be a demon he's so... human like'
As he got the jungle he saw him, he was pretty obvouse infront of him adn he looked kinda fragile, probably why he wanted help as he appraoched he slowed pantly lightly as he came to a stop putting his arms behind his head "I couldn't let you go on your own now could i? Alot of danger in these parts..." 'i hope not' he thought thinking about what he had just said. Really he was a big mouth he was brave but alot frightenend him sometimes. Could he really be the big hero like his parents?
He wasn't sure, sync landed and cawed at miumi nestling onto bays shoulder and started pulling his hair "hey quit it sync! whats gotten itno you" he said frowning pulling his head to the opposite side to get his hair free "i'm doing the right thing so stop winjing" he talked to the bird like it could take back, ye it was pretty weird. "well which way" he said not smiling but not frowening anymore either, pretty straight faced,s which is something he did when actually he was terrified of the unknowing.
A part of Miumi felt rather touched for some reason, this man barely knew him yet he was willing to place his life on the line and protect him, was it because he knew that Miumi had the power to bring the state of peace to this land or that he maybe the one to finally defeat Sin. When he asked the question for a moment Miumi seemed lost in thought as he turned towards the right looking down at the glowing blue flower that rested there. That way was probably shorter but it would take the longest since once you walk over the ledge there was nothing but cold water welcoming you into it's depth. It would be harder due to the various group of fish like fiends which tended to travel in large groups and Miumi wasn't that capable when it came to holding his breath. Then there was Bay, he would be weighted down by his heavy blade and he would have to worry about Sync, while the other way was longer it would have some of the more dangerous fiends but it would be easier, as he just stood there for a moment lost within his thoughts. Slowly he snapped out of it and pointed to the left, before he made a small gesture for him to come along. As Miumi slowly walked towards the edge where the slope of the hill was attempting to welcome him. For a brief moment he stopped turning to face the other for a moment. His eyes were soft and gentle in nature much like a babies.
"This way is longer, and has slightly more dangerous fiends, but they travel in smaller groups and it's easier then swimming, and thank you for coming and trusting me when no one else would... it hurts to be alone for so long."
H is voice would begin to fill the air softly, as if it was a soft whisper upon the wind and it was, not long after he had spoke he began to move again, his body slowly moved along the middle of the earthen path which was leading towards the next area, he stepped carefully afraid that he'd be flung down into the forest while it wasn't a far drop or slide it would still hurt and waste time which he didn't have. As he just walked softly slowly traveling up the hill he would smile for once in his life, he felt something, it was a warmness within his chest around his heart, which spread through his body, was this what others called happiness. As he walked softly occasionally he would stop and think about what the other had managed to due, he barely knew Miumi and he was willing to risk his life to protect him. Was there some reason that Miumi didn't know or understand yet or was there just a kindness within him. As he just walked he would look at Ayamu who simply shrugged his shoulders casually. But soon Miumi had entered the next area, where the soft roar of waterfalls could be heard, as he walked along the earthen path until he saw the ropes which he just gingerly ran his fingers along. This child was just learning his magic he wasn't capable of doing everything but he could try and even succeed at some things.
" It's nice to not be alone anymore ? " I You were never truly alone Miumi,.... " But he knows what I am and I didn't create him... you know I'm glad you here.
A s he walked along the path, the bridges seemed to flow by slowly, but he stopped at the first waterfall sitting on the edge looking down at the water that flew by just gently sticking his hands out feeling the hard pressure slam against his hands. For a moment Miumi looked almost normal as he just stared at his reflection in the water, for some reason he didn't look as ugly as he used to feel. He saw his exotic looking eyes for what they were, his hair looked nice to him and he saw that even Ayamu was smiling. Was this the emotion that many humans called happiness, he wondered silently before he turned to the moon looking upwards before he turned back to face Bay, a soft smile adored his lips as he waved casually. It seemed that this man, no this boy Bay had changed Miumi's life, he had helped inspire the sparks which gave birth to the dream and he would be the fan which kept them going even when they were about to burn out. In a way they had intertwined their lives even if only for a bit, Miumi may of been putting his life on the line as well as he knew that Sin wasn't some push over. He also knew that he would need to be strong. As he gently walked a few more steps before he stood patiently ruffling the head of the fluffy teddy bear, being rewarded with a growl of contentment. But now a question burned within Miumi and he would feel the words slide from his lips.
""Hey, why don't you run when you see me, or scream monster? So many people hate me because of my bloodline, I try to be nice but they just reject me saying I'm plotting against them.... do you see that I am capable of good?"
Bay stood there checking his stuff was all in his bag "sleeping bag, mice... fruit... flint..." he muttered gently to himself while he inspected his bag blinking up as the other said which way to go they set off. many would call Bay crazy but it wans't like Bay had anything meaningful to do before now, he'd just been wandering hoping to find a new home... it might have been more traveling but it was a juorney to take, an experience to endure. He was kind of excited. because he felt it to, he wasn't ever truely alone his companion by his side, but it was like someone who understood what it was like tio not have close family or a real friend to count on. Plus he just looked so frail Bay was worried he'd find him floating by one day dead.
"ye well being alone isn't all bad just think how tough you get" he said simply nudging sync to fly ahead to scout out for trouble. He cawed and flew up happily gliding around the clouds. He would look around alot of trees, pretty relaed considering. The miumi when eh walked didn't seem to make a noise 'oh ye i don't even know his name or he doesn't know mine well that was silly' "whats your name anyway? i'm Bay..Bay Achidor" he said walking on smiling up to the black clear sky which ment no rain tongiht.
Sync landed in his abg and started to sleep with a smile bay stroked his wings while he slept "we better find a place to rest maybe here will do" he said as they were by the waterfall. The guy was sat down so he guessed it was ok. No time for a fire but his sleep bag could roll out for both of them. So he did that so neither of them would be on ground. "there" he said getting out some fruit to eat while moving back over to him and eharing him speak. He blinked.
"well i dunno... i guess i don't consider you a demon or a monster.. i mean you've done nothing to me for me to call you that now i can think of a few men i would call demons, because there blackhearted not ebcause they look different" he said smiling and taking a chomp of his apple as he listenned to the water crashing below them. "besides i wouldn't mind following my parents foot steps..." he suddenly frowned "i never knew my parents... they were killed by sin but you know i don't know wether i would consider him a monster either" he said leaning back to lay down.
T he soft features of Miumi's face contorted softly into a look of happiness as the other spoke, it was obvious that he was glad the other didn't think he was just another spawn of Sin. In fact as far as Miumi knew he wasn't even from this world, he didn't remember much before he emerged from a strange cirlce, that had cryptic letters scrawled in both blood and chalk which actually brought him to this world, but what was the cost, as memories flooded back he seemed to sadden slightly, the person who had brought him here was dead as a door knob, the fiends had gotten him and Miumi had been powerless to stop them. A soft look of pain flickered across those near angelic features, for a moment his eyes got glossy and he shook it away letting his hair fall down draping carefully over his face to hide the moistness that were his tears. A soft sniffling noise could be faintly heard, then after his contractor he had lost the people he called his parents, they cared for him and tried to teach him but not even a year after they met him they died of a strange disease. Then something hit him he looked at the other his own eyes were widened in horror, as a brief image flicked through his mind, he saw the other impaled by various weapons and fiends clawing at him and it caused Miumi to break, his hands flew upwards clutching the side of his head. He was then just massaging the side of it was if he were in inor pain but that image had killed Miumi. He wasn't going to let this boy die, not now or ever. He was the first friend Miumi ever had, but he just meant alot to Miumi.
"I'm sorry Bay, but we can't rest now, can you wait just a little longer, and his name, he doesn't know how much good it will do you, but it is Miumi Touketsu Harou and before you ask. he never knew his parents' they say we aren't born but created. The only people who ever loved him died of a diease a year after they met him."
W hen those words leaft the teddy bear's undone lips, it seemed obvious he was speaking for the fact that Miumi was having an emotional break down. As Miumi had managed to stop just long enough to turn and smile at the other, his face was obsecured slightly but his eyes were slightly red, showing he had just been crying as well as when the moonlight hit his face, a few slick patches seemed to almost glow. As Miumi walked over he would smile and beckon the other to come on, it wasn't that far it would take maybe thirty minutes if they moved quickly. As Miumi would begin to walk slowly at first. It was obvious he couldn't do this during the day and the creautre on his shoulder knew why. The villager's might attempt to bar him from the temple, and he didn't wish to have to fight his way through or hurt anyone. Miumi didn't like fighting since only more people got hurt because of it and it was always Miumi's fault in someway. As the clouds obscured the moon Miumi raised his hand slightly focusing magical energy into it, his hand glowed with the energy of fire. It acted as a small light ot help illuminate their path. But the flame didn't move much as MIumi was waiting for just a few brief moments and in those moments the beast on his shoulder had turned around, a thin liquid like chain was connecting him to Miumi he walked back to Bay. The beast stood there looking up and smiling before he spoke in a very anicent and wise sounding voice. This beast was the voice of Miumi for the moment who was still wiping his face with afree hand ot conceal the tears he had spilled.
" Miumi says he is sorry, but he can't enter the village unless it is night time, the villagers are occasionally hostile to him and he fears if he goes in the morning they will bar him from entering the temple, he say he is sorry for pushing you so hard, but this is important, as they will realize he is going ot help them if he can bring forth the aeon.
A s the small beast finished talking he would smile and walk back to Miumi, the flame flickered out as the moon came back into view, Miumi had the claws going out, as they dug into the ground easily it would mark the path that Miumi had walked. He would keep walking but his pace was slow and the other could of easily caught up with just a brisk jog. He was soon going u pcloser where there were small ruins of pilalrs, they were anicent and made of stone, he just smiled as he came closer, He would gingerly run his hand along htem tracing what many said was a foreign language. As he did so he seemed so carefree, he just countined walking though as he got closer he was already going up a hill and far out of the other's sight, he made sure that his demon had gouges a full trail, He would find Miumi standing at the top of the hill, where there was a stone which he stopped at and seemed to be praying to, he had seen many others do this. He was praying to the fact he could help someone. But soon he would rise and keep walking hiding in the brush near the entrance of the village, His teddy bear was waiting still at the top of the hill. It was quite interesting to see Miumi hidng from something he was waiting in the bush it was quite obvious he expected something.
"Thank you Bay for believing in me.."

Bays face also scrunched up slightly "black hearted men" he muttered to himself ann angry face covering his features 'that scientist bastard what he did to me i'll kill him if i find him again' he thought he hand tightly cleanched against the apple and then he sat up and flung it hard sending it flying he'd let the anger out in one shot but he panted from the rage almost filling him, that guy was a monster, trying to turn him into some sort of mutant, he managed to do something. He suddenly blinked from his thoughts glancing at miumi he looked like his head was gonna explode "hey are you..." he stopped as the teddy bear interupted, know he'd gotten sued to it he wasn't as scared of the little thing, it seemed pretty friendly.
Bay nodded and mentally groaned 'walking all day now all night how great' he thought his legs happy for the rest but they were acheing a little, he stood and nodded "ok then miumi" he said smiling and running back over to ihs sleeping bag and rolled it back up and into his bag, sync cawed annoyed before settling in his bag again. Bay shook his head "silly bird" he muttered smiling and petting him again gently before putting his bag on his shoulder. But when he turned the other was already walking beckoning him to follow, bay jogged to catch up then walkred keeping his pace befor long though his legs began to ache painfully and he started to fall behind 'damn it why can't we have a break? he thought' panting lightly sync had woken again and had flown up into the dark sky.
As he stopped for a moment to catch his breath he blinked looking up as he saw the bear but miumi was further ahead "wait they don't want us therre!" miumi had kind of failed to mention that if a fight were to start he was supposed to fight it and he was so tired! But he knew he couldn't give up now, he kind of felt guilty he'd been winjing the guy wanted to help and the damn villagers would't let him, that was true demons. But as he started jogging up the hill he saw miumi by a fucking looking rock praying to it? Bay looked around him at the anceint things but felt little for them only that maybe his parents had walked the same path. the pillars withered and broken like many people and lives. He simply nodded to himself then continued to jog. Sync landed on his shoulder cawing and flapping his wings excited, bay laughed and looked to him as he ran.
bay glanced down seeing clear marks followed them until he was stood right above the bear, following the little chain he could see miumi immediatly hiding in a bush? He quickly slipped down with him and whispered "umm how are we hoing to get in sat here?" he asked chuckleing lightly "any ideas?" he asked as sync flew up and looked around the area.
" Have you heard? The blitzball season this year is being started off by Grand Maester Mika. What an honour. I'm so buying a ticket this year!". A villager nearby seemed to be talking about the Blitzball season starting. Besaid isle wasn't very famous for its Blitzball team, after all they'd never won anything in all the time that Blitzball had been around. But who knew. Maybe this year it would be different. " Yeah, although they say that the Grand Maester might be stopping a few places along the way first....don't know where though...suppose they have to keep all this hush hush....you know how dangerous it is moving the Maesters about....". A nod of agreement as the two walked off into a local tent.
At the temple a priest walked out and addressed the two gaurds. " A ship will be arriving soon...the guest is....of extreme importance...I do not have to stress to you how important it is that our guest gets here safely and in time....". He pointed out of the village. " Take the most direct route along the falls....he'll enjoy the beauty of the island as well...meanwhile we will be making preperations in his rooms....the temple will be rather empty. So when the ship arrives...have one of your run back...I and the others will be in the rectory.....". He flashed a glare of hidden malevolence. " Do not fail in this....". There was a unified salute from the guards. They headed out from the village and the priest got back in.
It seemed for now the temple would be relatively empty....all that remained was getting by the villagers without causing a fuss.......
T hose soft features were being twisted with a small amount of happiness it seemed that this was the night for him. As he would lean forward, he was listening to something the sound of the voices, a Maester was coming and Miumi would be the summoner of the village that he met, it would be the honor and open up a new path for his people. As slowly he rose upwards after the guards had passed he just smiled softly as he looked back at Bay. While suddenly Miumi closed his eyes his body giving off a slightly glow for a moment as the teddy bear began to move around quickly. It was obviously getting worked up this bear would be the distraction that would get him into the temple. As the bear soon was by Miumi's side it would just turn to face Bay before it spoke to the small man, it was obvious that Bay would be going with Miumi. Though what the bear would say was unexpected for the peaceful looking Miumi, the words were harsh and whispered in Bay's ear it was obvious the bear was concerned about Miumi, as this journey despite being short was taking emotional tolls on Miumi.
"Bay, you have a mission, no matter what happens you are to ensure that my master gets within the temple and beyond their reach, I don't care if you have to knock people out to make sure they don't harm him. His life is within your hands and from what he knows. A maester is coming meaning that he can't fail as this is his chance to prove that demon's can change the world. His hopes are high so please protect him with your life, If I don't return it is because they had killed the innocent teddy bear. I'm going to distract them.."
W hen those words leaft the teddy bear's wirey lips it seemed that this bear was determined as it's chain would extend to nearly impossible lengths and it began to into the village, as it grew near the huts it would open it's mouth letting out demonic cackling and making sound effects that were near impossible, while it did it's chain would turn invisible entering it's liquid like state. As Miumi rose he would pull his hood down looking at his guardian for a moment he just smiled before he pointed to the temple and took off. Miumi would litterly push off the ground popping from the bushes with ease. As the bear wove around a single hut making obnoxious noises which filled the temple as Miumi had bolted out the opposite side, He was sneaking along the opposite side while they were all distracted by that noise, it was obvious Miumi wasn't playing to many games, while a single man had managed to find Miumi. He had grabbed Miumi by his shoulder and attempted to jerk him back but Miumi shook off the man his hood falling downwards revealing the wolven ears and Miumi turned for a moment looking the man in the eyes. Then the man's mouth would curve outwards and he would scream loudly. " A DEMON IS IN THE VILLAGE." while at that point Miumi remembered running again shoving the man to the ground as he attempted to draw a blade. Miumi's plan had failed but he was almost there. He looked back for Bay.
" Mother , Father I will make you proud.
A s the lithe summoner was running full speed, as some of the men had turned towards the sound of the voice seeing Miumi bursting out towards the head of the village, a few warriors were running towards Miumi with heavy blades, As he wondered where Bay was in this utter chaos, as Miumi pushed off the ground swiftly just as one swung a blade at his back propelling himself up onto the platform leading him into the temple, he could hear the murmuring of the priests on the inside. As he kept running his body ached and his lungs burned as the priests shifted to the side as Miumi kept running one tried to block Miumi from the shrine entrance but Miumi pushed off the ground doing a small flip over the other landing on his hands on the stairs he pushed off instantly landing before the entrance of the cloister of trails. He waved softly to them before he took a step forward the door that normally remained closed would slowly slide open welcoming the attempt at at summoner within, while the priests wouldn't let anyone else in but there was something that Miumi had said before he completely entered so the priests could hear.
"A man is coming as well he has a small hawk, that man is my guardian.... I will become a summoner."
[/color]
A s the door began to shut behind Miumi. He just stood there breathing while the teddy bear's chain began to coil quickly causing him to fly across the battle field towards the temple and into it he went under the small gap left under the temple door. As Miumi just stood silently among the cloister's entrance he just simply sat on the ground and waited for the sound of Bay's voice. He prayed that the boy was okay and he would get let in. As he looked around he was in a sense of wonder.

Bay was a little taken aback by the sudden seriousness 'do poeple hate demons so much?' he thought then nodded to the bear. He'd known miumi maybe a day but miumi was more like him then anyone he'd ever met and he wanted to make sure someones dream came true. He nodded as sync continued to fly around for a while waiting for bays signal. "i understand i will not fail... even if i have to die first" he said smiling at him. Bay wondered what the bear so small could do fora decent distraction if a wakling teddy bear wasn't enough to scare them half to death.
bay turned and nodded to miumi as they began jumping from bush to bush keeping out of sight it was all going well and bay had stopped a minute to signal hsync to appraoch but then heard a shout and ran seeing a man being pushed by miumi 'they've spotted him!' he thought panicked at the sudden burst of chaos that erupted. As bay got there the man began to stand but Bay elbowed him int he jaws making him fall back again and Bay carried on sprinting to catch up with him. Sync landed on bays shoulder his eyes focused ahead of him.
Suddenly his leg gave in from the strain 'damn' he thought as he fell onto one knee it burned so bad 'come on you wimp' he thought panting and forcing himself back up "miumi needs me" he muttered panting and carrying on but what he saw he hadn't want to see. Armed guards! 'man miumi can run' he thought watching him propel himself out of there 'it seems plain sailing for him from here so then i'll sort out this crowd' he thought pulling out his blade which was a measly dagger he heard laughter and he smirked and instead of attempting an attack he closed his eyes and then slammed his foot into the ground literally the ground shoock hard but not enough to sink ay buildings simply enough to shake them around, wearing light armour ws ok but wielding a great big heavy sword put them all off balancing making them fall over with that bay ran for it.
Bays saw something wiz past "HEY ITS YOU" He said laughing as he was yanked away by seemingly nothing. It was a funny a sight really. Bay got to the door but it wasn't moving so he knocked real ahrd "hey miumi you in there?!" he called banging the door hard. Suddenly it flew open making bay flal back "jeeze all did was knock" he laughed walking in looking around as the door closed again "we got no more guards on our tail for now but i dunno if that'll last long" he said panting hard and he had to sit down. Sync cawed and rubbed its beak against bays face. Bay smiled and stroked him "well that was...easy enough" he laughed
You had successfully infiltrated the temple, and had gotten by the villagers un-noticed. Now all that lay ahead was the completion of the cloister of trials...and then praying to the fayth itself. After that...an aeon would be yours. The aeon Valefore. A large wrym/bird like creature with incredible power. But all these were merely stepping stones on the way to obtaining thee final aeon. And defeating Sin. For the Lucavi summoner this would not be an easy task. On top of everything else you also had the animosity against your race that would prevent you from gaining direct access to the temples so easily.
Down the elevator ahead was the cloister of trials. People usualy began their pilgrimidge in Besaid because it was the easiest of the trials to complete. The first steps for a beginner summoner. Giving them time to get used to what would come on their journey's.
Cloister of Trials
A maze of tests that will determine a summoners right to an aeon. Completing this shall be easy enough, still keep your wits about you as you enter this place...
A s Bay pounded on the door, until he spoke Miumi was clutching his chest as the teddy bear turned his blades popping out, suddenly the door flew open as if it had been hit by a canon from one of those ships, it flew open sending dust and dirt flying towards Miumi, as Miumi braced himself for a battle the words of fire were already hovering on his lips, as he did suddenly his hand cackled with an energy that held a fiery nature, his eyes reflecting the burning flames as he shielded his face with one hand, as the dust settled he had just realized that it was Bay, but still the shock caught him off guard he sent it flying out the door just as it closed behind him. He could hear the scream of a priest who had to have jumped back to avoid the flames. As Miumi smiled sheepishly walking over to Bay, he remembered pulling Bay into a hug, despite Miumi's small frame it felt like an iron vice was closing around him. That lasted a few moment and Miumi realized that Bay didn't smell like alot of humans, who wreaked of sweat and some of them booze. He seemed so much different from those other humans, Miumi felt his heart beat quickly for a moment and his face heat up causing him to let go of Bay and take a few steps back, Miumi's long black hair covering his face in an elegant veil.
"Don't worry Bay, leave this to me, once we get to the final room you can rest."
W hen those words softly left his lips, he couldn't help but smile gently bringing a single finger to his lips, it was a gesture that would look flirtatious but Miumi did it in a fashion that seemed so gentle. As Miumi just slowly walked forward towards one of the walls, The room was small and Miumi could already feel his breaths tightening there wasn't as much air in this room as it looked. As he just looked around the patterns on the floor looked all the same except one where a strange glyph spread out to encase four other tiles. His eyes seemed to scan every one of the borders which lined it looking for some clue but soon he turned around facing the wall he had backed towards. There were glyphs dancing around wildly as if they were trying to draw his attention, while he turned to the right he saw more white writing but the flashing ones were drawing him closer. As he looked under the white writing he saw a few series of designs which looked almost like a compass, which seemed to beckon Miumi closer, As he walked closer he could see clearly through the icy colored energy which was dancing along the wall in front of him, he had realized that it wasn't on the wall but in mid air. So slowly he rose his hand as if curious to what was going to happen well it would shock him in an almost scary fashion, this was his new life.
As Miumi's hand passed through the white letters, it was if the reality around him distorted for a single moment of time. The glyph infront of him began to glow going in a circle of small colors, He just kept his hand moving as he got closer suddenly small distortions of the world's balance could be seen, as he did so think ripples of purple and red could be seen as his hands plunged towards it touching it briefly. As he did so he pulled his hand back quickly as the house stopped glowing, there was something he had just noticed then, the white writing had disappeared along side of him, as he walked slowly towards it looking back at Bay for a moment it almost looked like he was in danger. But despite his better judgment, Bay would actually see Miumi moving as if he was bound by some type of magic spell to the wall where a glowing green glyph seemed to pulse with life that was it's own. As Miumi grew closer to it his hand flew upwards, when he came close to it there was another distortion suddenly, this time what enveloped Miumi and seemed to pulse gently outwards and slowly faded, while Miumi was mesmerized, as soon as it completed faded the arrows of the glyph glowed faintly and all their glow flew inwards towards the northern arrow, suddenly the room shook slightly causing Miumi to fall forward, but instead of hitting the wall, he was shocked as the wall flew upwards and behind it was a small flight of stairs.
"Ahh going to fall."
A s he said that he stumbled forward, teetering on the edge of the step suddenly his body was weightless as he slowly began to fall downwards he shoved his foot out against one of the stairs propelling himself downwards, A thud could be heard up on the floor beyond him, as Miumi crashed into the ground feeling pain that rippled through his body almost like a poison as Miumi slid along the ground he crashed into a thin pillar causing him to grasp his side. It looked as if water had eroded the wall that had once covered that area causing him to look upwards, he could see more glyphs and his hand slowly went up grabbing a small cup like indent in the pillar pulling himself upwards easily his hand hit the wall and suddenly words flashes through his mind brightly, as he did he stumbled backwards noticing a small glowing orb there, his hands would close down around it as Miumi stood there, he would twist his hand around in various fashions. Leaning back against the wall slowly sinking down as a constant pain radiated through his body, he wondered if he had broken something when he hit the wall, as he lifted the one side of his shirt, it wasn't broken but there was already a nasty looking bruise forming. Miumi noticed the slight discoloration and looked up through the corner of his eye could see that there was another stair case, he was slowly walking along the wall almost like grinding it as he moved towards it his one hand gently touching it as dizziness set in.
Wow my mast truly is a clutz, I mean I love him to death, but now I wonder is he truly cut out to be a summoner, if just the trials are killing him what will meeting the Fayth do.

Bay hadn't actually seen the near attack he'd fallen back but the hug was odd. He'd never had a hug before and wondered what he was ment to do, he kind of stood there but he'd parents to it to children and he tilted his head lightly as sync flew up looking around. Bay just smiled, miumi was deifnitly special but he started to feel sick from being so tired he wondered how much far he had to go. His mana was just about gone and his energy was sapped but he continued why? 'Miumi deserves it' that was all he would think. Not noticing the room until Miumi let go bay walked forwards a few steps 'what is this place?' he wondered looking around wonderusly. Bay didn't seeing the flirt he was stareing at the shapes that were all the same apart from one but it seemed still enough however miumi looked utterly hypnotized by it.
Bay just watched a little unsure "miumi?" he said but he seemed totally zoned at stareing at the different one, bay was or someo reason on the floor he didn't remember sitting down but he could see he wasn't needed for the moment everything was peaceful untila new door opened and miumi went falling through it. Bay tried to scramble up quicker but his legs would move fast enough. "miumi are you oK?" he asked skidding into the enw room looking up and seeing stairs he nodded to himself before looking at miumi, he then ran infront of him and stopped then crouched not giving miumi much of a choice he grabbed onto the back of his kenes facing away "better hold on" he said standing and starting to climb the stairs with miumi on his back. 'he's light enough' he thought as he pushed himself heavily up the stairs "you need to save your energy your the summoner remember how can you fight if you die going up stairs" he said turning for a moent and smiling at him before contiueing up. When the stairs stopped bay walked through a hall unsure where he was going just carried on. He'd heard and read about summoners but he never understood how they did it, how they became so strong, he would never be one he knew it but that didn't bother him so much. SYnc had flown most of the way time after time flying back to check they were approaching landing on miuis shoulder once and nipping lightly at his hair not in a mad way either, sync seemed to have gotten use to him.
"i hope you know where your going" he said laughing and panting. He then let miumi down and was ready to collapse but kept walking "how does tihs work then?" he asked his legs shaking dangerously and sweat dripping down his face.
A s Miumi saw Bay crouching down in front of him, he just remembered leaning slightly forward before he felt the other's arms sliding under his knee-caps causing him to blush deeply and he would let out a small gasp, which came out in a almost comedic high pitched eep. As the ground was just a few feet below him, He remembered coiling his arms around the other's chest and keeping his legs locked, as slowly they moved towards the flight of stairs, which would descend downwards towards the next hall way, it was two sets of stairs, Miumi was keeping his weight pulled backwards for some reason it was as if he was trying to make sure the other wouldn't fail. As the other spoke, what he said would of been a slap in the face if Miumi wasn't slightly out of it and realizing how frail and brittle he truly was, the journey, the fangs, the villagers. It was taking a toll on Miumi that was starting to become visible, instead of his skin looking a healthy pale it was becoming a near ghastly tone, he still was pale but this one lacked the glow in his cheeks the other had. His chin would rest on the other's shoulder , it was then that he could smell the other again, it was a tempting smell, maybe it was just because he knew that Bay wasn't malicious towards him. Or the fact that Miumi didn't harbor a hatred towards this man yet, he hadn't betrayed Miumi yet.
"I'm sorry Bay, I kind of fell and my side hurts a bit, not to mention being dizzy.""
W hen they reached the buttom of the stairs, the other seemed to be confused so Miumi reached back slowly grabbing the other's hand and gently peeled them from his body and he would slowly climb to the ground, as he stood straight a thin pain radiated through his body causing him to bite his lips gently, as he walked forward one arm draped across his stomach. As he walked he would approach the door looking down he noticed that there was a small orb like hole where the orb was gently pushed in, suddenly he watched as the lines along the door would glow a soothing green, which reminded Miumi of life, before the door swung open rapidly causing Miumi to teeter backwards. As slowly he stepped through the doors, the other would probally notice that Miumi seemed more stable now, As he began to almost jog down the various narrow halls. As he kept walking he was looking for the pedestal he had seen earlier, as he came there he saw one and he noticed some white glyphs again this time he walked to one pressing his hand against it, he could feel a warmth that was so soothing. A part of the wall slowly feel upwards and he smiled as he walked in, there were bright colored veins of green glowing around Miumi almost violently, as he walked toward the middle he could see the orb, he closed his hands around it and pulled backwards roughly. With a semi-loud click the orb came free.
Slowly Miumi turned walking towards the small pedestal which seemed to be so far away as a thin pain radiated through his side. As he moved closer towards the pillar, he placed the glyph in it's slot on it and suddenly he covered his face with a pale hand as a blinding light flew towards him as the wall seemed to almost break down. As he just stood there blinking for a few minutes and he began to lean forward. He gently leaned against the pillar as he stared among the empty room, he realized that there was a small slot on the floor that was different, but he fell to the ground as the thing slid out from under him. His hand shot out to the ground catching his weight rather easily, slowly he would rise again and breath softly, it sounded slightly strained as he leaned against it putting his weight into, as slowly the thing slid against the floor over a glittering part. As he got closer he could hear a loud click which caused him to jump back and soon the pillar disappeared into the ground, and the tiles beneath his feet shook violently as they unhinged themselves. As slowly Miumi stepped forward, his weight alone wasn't enough to cause it to move so he would smile as he let out a small shout, it wasn't really screaming but due to the weird structure and emptiness it would echo back towards wherever Bay was. So he was near the end he hoped.
"Bay.... I think we are there, ."
A s he said those words his teddy bear leapt against the ground rather roughly, his metal weights with the sudden increase of pressure caused the elevator to access, as he landed he skidded though causing the teddy bear to go beyond the elevator and into the hall where he lay helpless as the connection was trying to reach up as Miumi went far below the ground. Slowly Miumi looked around rather panicked as he was alone. As the elevator stopped, he tried to get it to go back up but it wouldn't for some reason, as Miumi began to take a few steps forward. As he looked around small torches burned, he looked at each of the flames for a moment before he looked ahead where there was a stair case. As he walked out from the elevator it flew upwards again back to the first floor. It was obvious that to leave his guardian would need to find him. As Miumi slowly walked along the ground dragging his feet slightly looking at the runic symbols on the ground and then the intricate stairs. As Miumi walked up them silently he just seemed so peaceful as he just smiled. As he got closer he looked at the boards that framed the door they looked like wings, like the parts of the aeon that might be within, as he also noticed the purple lanterns which radiated an eerie energy towards Miumi, but he was going to be strong as the door slowly slid upwards, and Miumi disappeared within, to the room where the Fayth was, but behind him the door slammed down locking in place this one wouldn't budge unless he succeeded or failed.
What are you doing Master? Where are you Bay !, So your going to go into that room be careful mi lord."
Bay was almost completly lost there were long hallways and he thought he was getting clostraphobic Harou was too fast for him too keep up but atleast he was feeling better, Bay had fallen abck when they ahd gotten to the bottom he couldn't go on he needed to rest, "sync follow him and protect ok?" he asked his friend who cawed and flew after harou eventually catching up to him but stopping next to he teddy, he oculd see harou anywhere so just looked at the teddy.
Bay after a few minutes had finally managed to peel himself off the floor and was hastily making his way there he kept looking behind him and looking at odd shapes and signs 'what is this place?' he thought not aware of what harou was actually doing. He found the teddy but no Harou he looked rather panicked "wheres Harou!?" he asked rather Loudly he glanced at the lift that had just come back up and frowned picking up the teddy bear and sync flew onto his shoulder he jumped onto it, he felt like he was going to be sikc as the lift zoomed back down. He was panting and when it stopped he ran on but couldn't see harou anywhere "do you know where he is?" he asked the teddy hew as holding forgetting his fear of the thing.
"those arne't flames.." he muttered staring at the purple lanterns "this place reeks of magic but where are we?" he asked not expecting an answer really. Then he came to a door but this one really wouldn't budge he tried pushing it lifting it and even ramming it with his shoulder which got badly bruised he then hit it hard "miumi!! MiuimI! are you in there?!" he called inside as loud as he could. and then sat against it he was out of energy he leaned his head back against the door shaking lightly. "man i'm out of shape" he said holding his shoulder.
As the door slammed shut behind the Lucavi summoner, the Hymn of the Fayth would fill his ears, each single voice in a song that cried out for the eradication of Sin, and peace for the people of Spira. In the centre of the room there lay a glass dome shaped object. Almost as if it was a showcase. Within it lay a stone statue, pressed against a wall liike a fossil. But within the statue. Thats what was important. The strength of the fayth's soul pressed hard on your own energies. Almost draining you completely. Its soul, and yours were in slight disarray. It was a soul, born of a humans will to defeat Sin. Yours on the other hand was that of a Lucavi....born into the world for the purpose of destruction.
Like Sins soul.
Would this matter to the Fayth? It spoke aloud, pyreflies swarming around the area as it took a spirit form of a human being. "....Demonic child....you have come to this place...unwelcomed....seeking the power of the Aeons....". There was a quizzical look on the spirits face. " And yet...I sense no malevolence in your intentions...not lust for blood....this is.....strange...". It tilted its head to the side.
" Tell me Lucavi....why is it that you wish for the power of an aeon?".
A s the door would end up slamming down behind Miumi, dust and dirt shot up around Miumi causing him to clench his face as if protecting it, not long after the earthen assault voices began to cry within his skull causing him to just gently rake his hands down the side of his face. It wasn't what he expected. As the nails drew blood to the surface not enough to cut through but leave those raised sections of skin, as the voices began to connect to one another until it was a chorus that cried for the defeat of Sin. As his eyes began to look around the room, for a second his eyes were wild and they seemed to look for the source of the noise. As Miumi looked around he noticed a glass dome which was covering something within, as Miumi began to walk towards it taking a single step. He saw the statue which was inside it was beautiful and intricate part of Miumi could feel the power radiating faintly. Until that power ripped free from the statue it would slam into Miumi as if it were an opposing force, Miumi actually skidded backwards, he felt like each breath he had to force from his body. He clasped his throat for a moment as he couldn't breath right, but slowly he managed to get that first breath the rest seemed to slowly follow after it. Then he realized the Fayth was trying to reject him but Miumi wouldn't let himself be forced out.
The world was slowing down within Miumi's mind as the lack of oxygen made him feel slightly disoriented, as the force of gravity felt much heavier, Miumi was showing his strength and will to get this power, it wasn't the power he wanted and he had the feeling the Fayth could sense that. Miumi wanted to bring peace, to prove that not all Lucavi were killing-machines to show that they were capable of bringing peace, no that wasn't all that Miumi wanted, he wanted to help unify the races of Spira. These demons were stronger then mortals and many of them chose to abuse that power, but Miumi's view was very different, he didn't see himself as good or evil, he knew that he was capable of both great good and great evil, but in honor of those who had died, he had seen Sin first-hand he had fought against him and the spawn before he had arrived here, he witness the sight of loved ones torn as people died. Miumi had experienced that before he had lost his "parents" due to a disease he believed that was his fault. He watched ahead as slowly the Fayth began to form itself as pyreflies flew wildly slowly coming together in a form much like another human. Miumi was entranced the voice it spoke with was near hypnotic and it made Miumi tremble slightly with fear. But he had managed to conquer his other fears on the way here, he would conquer this fear as well. But then the Fayth spoke those questions did make Miumi think.
"I don't wish for the power as my own, I wish for to be able to use it to help other's who don't have the power to help themselves, I have witnessed Sin's destruction first hand in Kilika where I fought against him and his spawn, along side the humans who hate me for the very being I am, but one man found out I was a lucavi, he didn't try to kill me like many other's he saw my potential... when I arrived here I was outcasted until I met that man in the other room... he barely knows me but he is willing to protect me with his life, and just because I may be able to bring peace, but even if I did get the power of the aeons, if I must I would sacrifice my life to protect Bay.... He was the first person who ever thought I was capable of good.... he gave me the strength and courage to come here to the temple..... He is the reason I came here, he is a light within the darkness of the shadow the Sin casts... I am willing to walk along side the light as another person... in the end though I know when I fight Sin, there is the risk I might die, but if it is to bring peace, my life is a small price to pay if it means I can bring peace not only to Spira but to the races! I want this power to help others..... A human brought me into this world in the world of ruins, he died because I was powerless to help him, because I had no will to fight.... an elderly couple cared for me and died of a disease.... I go in honor of their memories... "
W hen Miumi spoke, his voice would crack and his voice was raspy as the mere urge to get air at the beginnning was strong, but as he spoke the power of the fayth was being pushed back by Miumi's own power, as he spoke of the things that gave him the hope and will to move on, his confidence grew and his voice became clear. Until his voice boomed within the room, Miumi's magical energy crackled slightly as it radiated within his being making his voice capable of being heard as if he were right in front of the Fayth. But to those outside of the room they would only hear the faintest of whispers. As Miumi looked at the other, there wasn't that shy looking demon within himself anymore, he could see himself reflected within the surface of the glass orb, his power radiated slightly. This time Miumi took a step towards the Fayth, when he did Miumi felt the pressure again but he fought against it moving closer till he was close to the stand near the other, it felt like Miumi's head was going to explode from the mere power and pressure being placed upon him. This time Miumi looked at the Fayth directly in it's ghostly eyes Miumi stood firm when he spoke this time, his voice was soft it had lost alot of the power it had held moments before but it was soothing now as he looked at the Fayth.
"I am like you in more ways then one, you bind yourselves here to wait for the summoners, because you wish to bring peace and serenity, that you wish to defeat the evil that is Sin.... I fight to bring happiness to the world around me and stop the endless killing... seeing children torn from their mothers and fathers... it hurts.... when I am only as old as they are. I've been on this world for maybe two years tops... But I have seen far more then people believe..... even if you don't give me the aeon's power... I will still try and defeat Sin.... even if I die in the effort.... I will fight till my last breath if it means protecting those I care about...""
A s he spoke slowly his bond with the teddy bear was reformed and the bear looked at Bay with soft eyes as he could feel Miumi's emotions they were raw and powerful almost as if they were living themselves.
"Bay.... mi-lord cares about you much like you are family, he wishes to bring you peace and serenity, and he is willing to place his life below yours... he is willing to die to protect you despite possibly being the summoner. "
Bay just sat there panting hard his eyes closed lightly "be careful miumi" he uttered putting one knee up and resting his elbow on it, seeing no point in fighting a door he decided to try and gain his breath back at least. He was silent for a little while before opening his eyes 'miumi is so brave taking this on alone' he thought suddenly feeling like a total je being able to help him just having to sit here, if he'd been faster he could have been with him.
Suddenly he turned to see the teddys eyes change colour more life filled he went onto his knees and listenend to him but closing his eyes and clenching his fists "no... no i don't deserve his life... i don't deserve it he should put his life way above mine!" he snapped opening his eyes and stnading hitting the door again hoping he'd beable to hear him "MIUMI! MIUMI! Don't Do ANYTHING stupid" he called inside unsure wether he could hear or not "my life isn't worth yours so if something bad happens always leave me! Keep yourself safe!" he wasn't even sure if miumi had heard a word. He looked to the bear fire fueling his red eyes that looked utterly mad, but not mad at miumi more at himself. "i'm sure if he didn't hear you get the point" he said standing and waiting increasingly growing nervouse of miumis wellfare.
For awhile there was nothing but silence...then the spirit crossed its arms. An expression of thoughtfulness crossed its face. And then it disappeared into the air. Pyreflies floating around the area. It was then they suddenly intensified. Floating around the Lucavi summoner. At first, he may have thought this was a rejection. An attack. But not quite. Soon the pyreflies would settle down. And within the summoner a new power would emerge.
The doors of the Fayth opened, allowing both the summoner to leave and the guardian to enter. The summon would require some time to settle in...and the whole process left the summoner drained. But one thing was sure for now. You had obtained your first summoning. And this was the begining of your journey.
A s the silence warped the room as Miumi grew silent, for a moment his eyes shifted towards the door he could hear the sound of the other pounding against the door, he could faintly hear the other's voice, a mental link connected him to his teddy bear, he listened to what the other had said it touched Miumi so deeply that the other cared so much. As for a moment he could feel a single tear slid down the sides of his cheeks, they felt cold against his hot-skin it was rather embarrassing to know that someone cared that much for something that others would call a demon. As he turned to face the fayth, he noticed that seemed to be crossing their arms and gazing him with a judge that Miumi could feel within his very being as he just stared back, Miumi's eyes reflected the essence of life and the power that he required to protect that very life. A small look crossed the small child like fayth before it dispersed into a shower of pyreflies which danced around the room gracefully almost like an enchanting spell. Suddenly they intensified circling around Miumi, causing his hair to rise up and his body to feel warm as they generated an oddly eerie warmth, soon Miumi was sweating before they ceased. As the door leading out slowly began to open there was sweat dripping from Miumi and the faint glow of the pyreflies gave Miumi a near angelic look. But soon that soft voice pierced the air.
"Bay, I have done it.... I have become a summoner.... I have marked my path and I will one day bring peace to Spira... "
W hen Miumi spoke his voice was soft and weak, As slowly Miumi was forced to walk slowly by the other, his body making it to the stairs before he seemed to have blacked out, his body looking so peaceful, as a look of slumber and serenity painted it's way across Miumi's delicately pale face as slowly his foot left the ground slowly Miumi began to fall but his teddy bear spiraled quickly the chain between them slowing the fall greatly, probably just enough that Bay would be able to go and catch Miumi before he hit the next stair or the ground. It seemed that the teddy bear, seemed to trust Bay more then he did many others as he allowed this man to touch his master in such casual ways as picking him up or even assisting him when the boy was quite capable, As Miumi's eyes fluttered shut for a moment, the next moment they would open he would look around the room for the childish face of Bay. He just smiled softly as he looked at the other, for once Miumi looked truly happy, the look of life and memories flowed across his face, he had managed to gather enough strength to speak to the other, Miumi's voice was weak and distant as if he was drifting into the dead or the sleep, which by the look of fatigue and exhaustion across Miumi's body was obviously the one that was occuring.
"Bay I'm so tired.... I want to go to sleep.... can you carry me... pwease?"
A s he spoke slowly his eyes closed and he would go limp against the ground the teddy bear broke out into a fit of laughter....
"That'd be adorable if he was a few years younger.... "
Well for a moment Bay just stared almost afraid to touch him, he was glowing so magnificently and well from what Bay could hear it seemed he'd been through alot in those minute. He stood quickly and had his arms out as Miumi passed him he was dragging his feet and looked weak but somehow... peaceful? When Miumi dropped he ran forward snatching him almost from the air and pulling him back, then started carrying him in a bridal style to keep him safe he slowley began walking down the stairs expecting the teddy to either jump up or follow suddenly he woke again and Bay smiled at the other before he went limp again "doesn't give you much choice does he?" he said laughing too. He smiled "where are you two headed next then?" he asked the teddy which he was less scared of then before, he preferred it when the teddy was in happy mode.
i'm sorry but...I have business to take care of so i'll camp out with you two until Miumi's strong enough to get moving and i'll meet you there ok?" he informed him not asking he had some things he HAD to do. Bays face dropped for a minute at the thought of it, he'd been keeping it out of his mind for a while but he knew he had to get some money so he had to stay in a town long enough to gain some.
A s they walked through the temples corridors when they reached the top floor they would be greeted by the monks. Who could tell by Miumi's shallow breathing and exhausted look he had succeeded. While the teddy bear smiled as some of the monks took Miumi from Bay and carried him quickly down the stairs to the right while it would look gentle natured they moved quickly and placed Miumi upon a bed. Where he would rest for a few minute. As one of the monks knew of the spell known as Haste. Placing upon the sleeping MIumi acclerating his bodies perception of sleep causing the energy to flow back within him. As they watched the way his chest moved and the time ticked by. For maybe ten minutes Miumi didn't move. While in Miumi's dreams there were brief flashes of Ayamu. Who was talking to Bay. A soft smile fell across his lips. As the bear could sense Miumi's presence he said nothing and smiled. It was obvious the bear would stall for time as the they did know where they get going they were headed to Kilika soon. Where there would be plenty of people and the guardian of flames.
"Bay, we are heding to the center of the town real quick. "
W hen the teddy bear spoke, the teddy bear syphoned some of his own magical energy into Miumi with such a pace that it startled Miumi and caused him to jolt from the bed. He only woke due to the hastaga spell cast upon him. As he walked careful down the halls. A little wary as he saw the others had yet to leave the building he waved as he seemed jittery.. what had the monks done.... they had unleashed a true monster. As Miumi stepped out not a single villager seemed to come near him for brief moment some brandished a weapon threateningly. But the doors to the temple remained open as slowly he walked down along the path to the circle that had long since been there. While the people who had been starring slowly gathered around Miumi as he stood among the circle. First he took a few innocent steps. Spreading his arms as if embracing something and bringing them together for an almost prayer like meaning extending them towards the sky. He rested his hands like that for a few minutes before bringing them down to his stomach. Suddenly doing an almost dance like movement it all began.
A few startled gasps from the crowd as they watched in wonder as this child a demon was capable of summoning the great beast. Slowly a white light began to glow beneath Miumi and it began to fire around him almost like a spiral of pyreflies. Some of the light began to flow outwards from Miumi much like a ripple effect. It was pretty to watch and awe inspiring at the same time. As the light expanded a green light formed around Miumi's body forming a sphere before slowly rising and expanding revealing Miumi's smiling face. The first ring expanded beyond the circle's length becoming a dark mysterious ocean blue which beckoned all to come near. While shimmers of light flew upwards towards the sky it was so gracefully done. As an orb of an almost clear blue began to spiral around Miumi they could see the glyphs of power within it radiating the essence of the aeon. A few of the villagers refused to meet their gaze with Miumi, a they felt remorse for what they had done. From each of the glyphs of power a bright blinding white light began to transcend it's way into the sky. It was beautiful that much was true.
While those beams of light rose. Small slivers of glowing yellow flew from the edge of the circle. As Miumi looked up in amazement slowly the bright lights began to spiral before they clashed together forming a massive orb which actually parted the clouds revealing the bright moon which glittered dangerously within the night as Miumi stood there he just smiled. As he heard cries of awe from the crowd. The women and children smiled and one child stepped towards Miumi. As the clouds spiraled away the glow of a rainbow color could be seen within the sky as Miumi seemed to hold it together as that monk had made sure he could complete his job. Suddenly something was falling from the sky followed by a trail of the clouds. Miumi couldn't even tell what it was but it was growing closer. As it came closer wings unfurled and the world could feel the wind coming from the very beast he had summoned. As it came closer it soared low to the ground before flapping it's wings once or twice and slowly lowering itself to the ground near Miumi. It had a deformed appearance but Miumi seemed to love it.
As Miumi's eyes widened with what many would take as fear, no there was admiration within his eyes. As the beast landed slowly Miumi took a few steps towards it. The beast craned it's neck towards Miumi who smiled and gently ran his hands along the side of the other's beak petting him. Noticing the horns along it's head and the strange feathered like body his other hand reached out and began to stroke the other's wings they were leathery much like a lizard. As Miumi pet the beast the cries of the villagers were ones of happiness. As the beast seemed happy as well. Miumi noticed the series of golden chains which adored his body. Miumi touched them gently they were beautiful. Part of Miumi wished to leap upon it's back this very movement. As he stood there for a brief moment. Slowly he spoke his voice held confidence but showed that Miumi was rather tired. That spell was wearing off and Miumi was becoming tired again but he would finish his job. As his voice filled the air it was powerful yet it didn't invoke fear it brought peace among the murmuring crowd. A few adults looked wary of Miumi though.
" People of Besaid, I am but on the first stone of my journey, this might beast, no this aeon will help me bring peace to this world and stop Sin from hurting more innocent people. I bear no ill-wishes towards any of you for what you have done and I am thankful for your respect. But I believe I am most thankful for your persistence due to you I tried harder and I managed to obtain the Aeon Valefor. You guys gave me the faith to become a summoner. ""
A s he spoke he slowly waved his hand before walking to the aeon he leaned his head against the beast's beak and whispered a good-bye as the summon took off into the sky. Miumi smiled as he slowly walked towards the inn. He offered the keeper some money and slowly went to a bed and closed his eyes. A few children stood at the entrance of the door askign to play. He nodded his head but the inn keeper told them later to night the summoner needed to rest.
" Bay, we will leave for Kilika in a few days so if you need to do some shopping or anythign rest up since the only way there is by boat.
