A young and rather seductive looking woman was sitting alone by the bar. She was back in her hometown after a number of contracts that had gone well, and paid well for that matter. She had originally made her way back her to see her father, and give him a bit of cash to help him live. She was many things but she would never forget about her father, the man who taught her one of the skills that founded her way of killing. She loved her father with all of her heart, and even though she would not give him all of her cash she would give him enough so he could live well for a few months.
She was on her fifth drink, but she was not exactly drunk, the slight buzz from the drink just about to kick in. She looked around and saw a few people she knew and some she didn’t, it had been a good four years since she had last visited sector seven and she was actually surprised she knew anyone here. The last thing she heard about this place was that quite a few of the sector seven Slummers were moving out of Midgar into some of the outside villages.
He downed the last of her drink and called the barman over for another one. He served her the drink with a smile. She smiled back, she was not interested, but it could not hurt keeping the person serving her the drinks sweet. He looked at the drink, it was not exactly fancy, but it got the job done. She smiled for a few seconds before she sipped her drink, she cringed before putting it down. All off a sudden she heard the door open, curiosity getting the better of her she looked over her should to see who it was.
*Beis walked in and looked around the bar that he had always passed by but never entered. He never understood humans and their incessant need to dull their minds and senses with alcoholic beverages. They just drowned themselves in beer or vodka and after they were plastered out of their minds, they would stand up, spit out some slurred swear words, urinate themselves, then leave. Granted it was a choice few who actually did urinate themselvees, the other symptoms were always apparent. So why was Beis going inside of this bar? Curiosity for the most part. What about this place would bring men in droves day after day. He just hoped curiosity wouldn't kill this Genome.* "I should find somewhere to sit..."
*As Beis walked through the bar, he thought he could actually hear people's livers shutting down. He didn't know what Selle found so fascinating about this bar. Thefre was nothing here out of the ordinary. There were tables, drink, the bar. That's when Beis saw it. He had heard of the owner of the bar before but never saw her in person. It was a pretty woman dressed in black. But he had heard that Tifa had black hair, not purple... She was pretty full chested as well. She was dressed in a pretty skimpy outfit, which explained why so many men came into this bar and there wasn't a female in sight. She reminded Beis of Celeste a bit, but hopefully this one wasn't so short tempered. Beis sighed to himself. He didn't know if Selle was a gentleman or a lecherous fool. He guessed a little of both. Beis thought that he might as well get himself aquainted with the woman.* "After all, what harm could it do?"
*Beis sat at the bar next to "Tifa". He wondered what he should say to her. He probably did not want to insult her. Beis had heard stories of how she had helped a man named Cloud defeat Sephiroth, a former SOLDIER First Class. If she helped beat someone as strong as that, she could beat Beis into a bloody pulp at any time. He wondered if he should act like Asher. Beis imagined the idea and saw himself getting punched through a wall. He decided to drop the persona routine for now and just try to be friendly on his own. Oh boy was he in trouble...* "Umm... Hello. It's a nice bar isn't it?"
Amoris saw the young Genome, and smiled slightly. She always found the Genomes kind of cute, in a none sexual way. This one seemed rather young, this in itself made her chuckle to herself. When he caught him looking at her she rolled her eyes slightly, but now she was looking back at the bar so she doubt he could see her. Amoris took another sip of her drink, she really didn’t know why she drunk this stuff, it was foul tasting, sharp, oh yes, that’s why, it was as strong as a mule on steroids.
When the Genome came up to her she was quite surprised. Sure enough she was use to men coming up to her and trying to pick her up, or pick a fight, it depended on who it was and if they knew who she truly was. This Genome seemed to be rather young, from first glances anyways. She could never really tell the age of their race, they all looked either really young or really old. So when he spoke to Amoris she looked at him, her magenta eyes taking him in before she spoke,
“Aint it past your bedtime kid?”
She chuckled and went back to her drink. She was in no mood for having some young Genome trying to pick her up. If he was just trying to be friendly then she would be nicer to him. In her experience when a man talked to her it was never because they were being friendly, they either wanted her body or wanted her for a fight. Actually on a couple of occasion it was both. She sighed and took another sip, she looked back, she had been kind of rude, but until she knew his motives for speaking to her she would not apologies.
"Bedtime? Hmmm..." *Beis actually thought about it before answering. What was a bedtime? The time he decided to sleep? No... that would not be for while. He smiled at the woman and shook his head.* "No. I do not believe so." *He looked around for the barman walked over and Beis smiled at him as well.* "Hello. May I have a drink please?" *The barman raised an eyebrow at Beis as if he was for real and shook his head as he walked away, laughing. Beis watched the man curiously. Was it something he said? He wasn't going to ask for alcohol but that seemed to be the only thing here to drink. Beis sighed. So much for his first drinking experience.* "You're around for more than 200 years and no one believes you're old enough to drink..."
*Beis called the man over again.* "Alright. I am going to try this again. I would like to order a drink. Non-alcoholic if you please. What do you have?" *The barman glared at Beis. This kid was really starting to get on his nerves. He wanted a drink? Ohohoho would he get a drink! The barman went behind the bar and mixed a cocktail of the strongest drinks they had in stock. He wasn't a bad man, but this kid was really getting on his nerves. And Beis was getting in the way of him making a move on this mystery girl. He then brought it out and gave it to Beis with a smile.* "Here you are sir. I'm very sorry for the wait."
*Beis saw the concoction in front of him and picked it up, examining it. It did not appear to be poisoned or anything... But he had never seen a drink of this color before. Perhaps it was some sort of flavored water? He decided that one sip would not hurt... Beis sipped a bit of the drink and he felt a gunshot pulse through him. Whatever it was, it sure gave him a kick in the pants. His eyes opened wide and he glanced over at "Tifa" again* "Wow! What a kick!" *Beis took anoother swig of the beverage and let out a contented sigh.* "Anyway, yeah. I don't have a bedtime. Why do you ask?"
Amoris looked at the barman and raised an eyebrow, sure enough the kid didn’t really belong here but there was not reason to be like that. But when she saw what he mixed for the little Genome she got quite annoyed. If he drunk that it would be all over, that was one hell of a strong drink. She was actually half tempted to leap over the bar and give the barman a kicking for serving a minor such a strong cocktail. In the end she decided against it, since this was the only half decent bar around here.
She looked back at the kid and saw him sip it. But when she saw the expression on his face, it was priceless; she could not help but laugh. The kid was not flat on his back, so he had already exceeded her expectations. She gave him a firm pat on the back. She had no idea why the kid was here or why he decided to come talk to her. If he wanted her in a certain way then he was wasting his time, she didn’t go for jail bait. On the other hand he was just being friendly, well, she could live with that.
When he asked about his bed time and why she wanted to know she looked away. Her magenta eyes taking in her drink before downing the half full glass. She looked back at the barman; even though she was still angry with him she hid that fact. She ordered one, and looked over at the kid, she looked back at the barman and brought two fingers up and pointed at the kid. When the drinks came she raised her glass at the kid and took a swig of it before speaking,
“Don’t worry about it kid, just a failed attempt at being funny. Tell me, why are you in this bar, it can’t be for the amazing company. If you came here because you wanted to get lucky, well if you swing that way there’s a guy in the corner eyeing you up. If you’re into girls, sorry kid, I don’t do jail bait. But I can grace you with my name, Amoris, Amoris Starblade.”
