S D uring the event in Luca, Miumi had realized something that struck him deep, that he couldn't find the boy known as Bay anywhere he has asked around and some people said that he had disappeared one way and others another. But then he found something of Bay's. While a unexpected vistor awoke Miumi from his slumber one day, it was the hawk Sync, it was clawing at his hair and face and for a moment made him hopeful he looked all around for Sync, but the hawk pulled at his hair as if begging him to follow him. Miumi had summoned forth Valefor on the edge of the window and flown into the skies. For days on end they went without alot of rest until they were near a town known as Midgar. The hawk circled around a building owned by Shinra. A brief image of Rufus flashed through his mind. As they landed Miumi had spent a few days finding out what he could and doing some shopping for what he knew he'd have to do. As he approached the front door. A few men were standing guard. While he walked closer he acted as if he was blind, those eyes were hard to deny. Sync knew his job he would have to lead him towards Bay. As Miumi looked up at them, his eyes were milky white he had to act the part. As he felt one of the guards they looked afraid but then they saw his eyes.
Was it sympathy within the guards eyes. As he reached down and stroked the side of Miumi's face with an almost fatherly expression but Miumi's eyes were soft and glittered with the essence of life. As he just seemed so gentle and he smiled softly at the touch as they reached up to pull back his hood. The guard gasped he saw Miumi's head it had no ears it was like he had been born a deformity. No Miumi's ears were hidden under the hair, perhaps he was just lucky this men didn't know he was a Lucavi. As the man's faced turned to sympathy and he countined to rub the side of Miumi's face it brought a soft smile onto his face as a thin trickle of tears slid down his face. While the inside of his mouth had blood in it now. He had to bite down pretty hard on his inside lip. While Miumi began to quiver as he swallowed to hide the thin scent of blood as his lip began to quickly repair. As slowly the man began to look at MIumi with an almost fatherly gaze, he saw that Miumi was wearing dirty tattered clothing, he had taken his own claws and dug it out, which is why they had dirt under them. As Miumi stood there his eyes were surverying the place, there were a few cameras and guards meaning this wasn't going to be easy but he'd take down the entire Shinra building to find Bay.
As Miumi's body quivered the other guard was coming closer at the sound of his heavy beats smacking against the ground it caused Miumi to flinch slightly but it wasn't even noticed the one man grabbed him by his hair and pulled him back roughly, while the kind man looked abhorred as the man pushed a gun to Miumi's face. Miumi didn't even flinch though as suddenly it began. As the man began to tighten on the trigger. Miumi's palm shot upwards the sound of his hand connecting with the man's face, suddenly a sickening crack was heard, he had broken the man's nose causing him to stumble back pulling the trigger. It missed Miumi by just mere centimeters the heat and tearing force of the bullet whiped at Miumi's skin but the man was stubborn and a stronger version of a human. As suddenly Miumi jammed his fingers into the hollow of the neck and the man began to gasp as he couldn't breath, following up Miumi slammed a rough fist to the back of the neck. The man quivered as if he was cold before he fell to the ground unconscious the other man was holding his gun as if ready to shoot MIumi but he was afraid he'd hit the man he was working with, it was obvious Shinra's brutal training wasn't focused on killing everyone. But they had proved Miumi's point that they were corrupt if they were willing to pull a gun on a blind, mute child. But he would spare the man the same pain he had inflicted on the gunner.
As the man looked at Miumi like he was a monster, Miumi turned and pushed off the ground with a force that was shocking. As Miumi came closer the other raised his gun Miumi's hands slid down along the shaft of the gun pushing it towards using it as a balance beam almost as he came closer he slammed his hands against the other's milky white face with such force he actually caused the other to fall to the ground. His head hit the ground with a sick crack. Miumi hadn't killed him but it was enough to cause some minor trauma and knock him out as Miumi stood there, He grabbed the seams of the torn clothing pulling at it savagely causing ripped pieces of clothing to shower the ground. He looked up at one of the cameras and stared at it. As the shards of clothing feel from him and he shook his head, it revealed those wolven ears, As he adjusted his tight black shirt and that leather vest. He pulled at all his clothing. He reached down and stole one of the guards guns placing it in a holter that he borrowed. He had taken a hand-gun. He also took their leather gloves sliding them over his hand and he seemed to notice they held some small blades. He picked up one of them testing it's weight it would have to do for now. As he walked up to the camera. He spoke loudly and clearly. He just prayed that Bay was watching this.
"Don't worry Bay, I'm coming for you... and if your hurt I swear to god SHINRA I will burn this fucking building to the ground. You pissed off the wrong person now. ."
W hen he spoke his voice was cold and almost scary. As he finished his speech he reached down to the gun pulling it up and steadying his hand as he pulled the trigger. The lens of the camera shattered, he aimed at the other and pulled the trigger twice. Thin whisps of steam were coming from the gun as he looked at the glass doors that were infront him. He remembered pulled his hand backwards and slamming it forward. The door shattered so much easier then one would of expected. As Miumi walked forward through the raining shards. They couldn't even touch Miumi as he walked over the glass it cracked sharply beneath his feet. A few people at the front who worked in stores and such began to lock up quickly while Miumi kept walking as if nothing was wrong. As he began to walk towards the stairs. He could hear it there was an alarm going off somewhere. They knew he was here and that's what he wanted. As he looked at Sync who he had hidden under his clothing. Slowly he pulled the bird out and threw him into the air. He needed this bird to take him to Bay. This lab was so large it was the face of the company of a face of lies and deception and that look on Miumi's face as he seemed to be almost capable of killing someone. As he looked up there were three gunners infront of him.
They told him to drop his weapons. So he actually let the gun fall from his hands letting Sync take off the two working in unison looked creepy. But as the gun fell Miumi's gaze shifted towards it and suddenly he dived for it catching them off guard. As then aimed for him. He shot randomly at them. He managed to blow out one's knee cap causing him to stumble to the ground uttering words so foul it made Miumi giggle. As the others had been grazed in non lethal spots and aimed at Miumi. As they unleashed a sudden barrage of bullets. Miumi hit the ground throwing himself to the side. A single bullet had grazed Miumi's side it hurt like a bitch and it was bleeding alot. As Miumi gasped and placed his pale hands to his side perssing down hard enough it would of broken a fragile human's limbs but it slowed his bleeding as the leather outfit seemed to adhere to the blood acting as his bandage. As he slowly rose he pushed off the stairs. The other would see him coming towards them rising their guns to follow him. He ran back and forth like a high-speed snake by the time they got a lock on him. He was infront of them pushing of the last stair. Flying above them his ands shot down grabbing them by their shoulders pulling them close. With such force their heads smacked against one another so hard the protective head gear they were wearing actually cracked.
As he walked past the one man who had shot in the knee. The man grabbed his gun and aimed it at Miumi. But Miumi's hand slammed down sending the gun down to the ground. It flew down the stairs he looked at the man. He just smiled and shook his head. He couldn't be stopped. As he walked towards the nearest hallway. Suddenly he spun around his bloodied hand slamming into the wall leaving a smear of blood. Miumi's skin was already starting to seal up. But Miumi smiled as he focused chanting to himself before a large orb of spiraling snow and ice formed within his hands. As he focused the other hand would clutch his hand as he slammed it down suddenly a wall of ice formed. It blocked off the main entrance into the upper floors so that meant that he had closed the only way in besides the side stairs. As he began to walk down the hall. The look on his face was almost devastating. As his conscious wanted for a moment as he kept walking. As he walked suddenly the alarm blared. He remembered looking up at into the sky this wasn't going to be easy. As he cracked his knuckles loudly he was ready. Suddenly his voice filled the air he used. Magical energy to fill the air. He was a potient being he was dangerous that much had been seen taking down five different men in under five minutes with minor injuries.
'BAY I"M COMING FOR YOU..."
A s he screamed his bear popped from a small bag. The bear gave a question and was answered by silence. Miumi wasn't a killer. He couldn't purposely kill another person unless his life was on the line.
Rufus Shinra sat in his large office, feet on his desk, having just filled out a stack of paperwork, hands behind his head, his favorite classical record playing, and a bored sense of accomplishment playing at the edges of his mind. It was a typical end to a typical day. He sat, staring absentmindedly at the ceiling of his office, plotting new ways to take his enemies down a peg, particularly his father. So far he was just playing with fantasies; he wasn’t about to risk a riot with an assassination, and AVALANCHE, the Anti-Shin-Ra organization he was secretly funding, seemed to be taking a break in light of the war. Rufus couldn’t really blame them; their lives were just as much in danger as any Shin-Ra employee.
Rufus’s eyes began following a fly as it zoomed about the air above him. That was one thing people failed to realize. The war was Galbadia versus Midgar, not Galbadia versus Shin-Ra. Everyone in the country was the target of the Sorceress’ chaos, and yet, nearly the entire force fighting for Midgar was controlled by Shin-Ra. No one wanted to get in the way of Shin-Ra at the moment, because Shin-Ra was the only thing standing between the citizens of Midgar and complete annihilation at the hands of the Sorceress and the Demon General. Shin-Ra brought convenience, happiness, and protection to the land. Shin-Ra was corrupt, and sinister, and evil, but they were also secretive. No one knew of its corruption except for a select few. So long as the public was concerned, Shin-Ra were the heroes.
Galbadia, on the other hand, was not secretive. The Sorceress had openly announced her evil intentions. Even if Shin-Ra were to go public with their power grabbing schemes, they wouldn’t be deemed as evil, so much as greedy. No matter how you looked at it, this was a war of good versus evil, and for the first time since The Shin-Ra Corporation’s founding day, they were the good guys. This really spoke volumes of the evils of the Galbadian Sorceress. It was a mystery that anyone would elect to follow her. Perhaps there was brainwashing involved, or maybe the entire continent of Galbadia was just plain evil, Rufus didn’t rightly care one way or the other, they were a threat, and they needed to be stopped.
The fly buzzed around the room, Rufus’ eyes still following it independently of his mind. The fly flew closer, and Rufus went cross-eyed for a moment as the incest landed on his nose. He wrinkled his nose and sniffed, coming back to reality and jumping up into a proper sitting position once more. Looking around the room, he realized that he had day dreamed through the end of his shift. He should have left an hour ago. He stretched and cracked his knuckles with a moan. He got to his feet, rubbing his eyes, and walked towards the exit of his office. Just as he reached the door, however, the alarm went off. He paused for a moment, and then turned. With a sigh, he walked back over to his desk and hit a button on the side. The glassy wooden colored surface of his desk became somewhat opaque, then completely transparent, revealing a computer monitor underneath.
On the screen, in large lettering, were the words “Security Alert” and underneath was a feed from one of the two dozen security cameras in the building’s atrium. There, on the screen was the image of a young boy. Rufus watched with curiosity as the boy severely injured a few guards. No matter, the security in this building was stronger than any other security force on the planet. He was about to turn away when the boy jumped up close to the camera, looking directly into it. Rufus recognized that face, the Lucavi from the Blitzball game. Rufus knew he didn’t like that creature. There were over 900 security cameras in the building, so it was only natural that they did not record audio, but Rufus managed to piece together what it was he was saying by reading his lips. So he thought he could possibly take on Shin-Ra single handedly, did he? Who did he think he was? And Why? Who the fuck was this Bay? Rufus shook his head and hit the switch on the side of his desk, returning the surface to its glassy wooden look. He then, once again, headed toward the door to his office. He was unsure what to think of this turn in events.
The alert was automatically being sent out to all computer screens within the complex. Everyone in the building was seeing what he saw, all 428,000 militant ready personnel stationed within the Shin-Ra building would be made aware of the situation at once. There was no way on Gaia that a single boy could take on nearly half a million men on his own. But even so, Rufus was curious. He paused just before he reached the door, frowning for a moment. Bay? What was this boy’s intentions? Rufus reached into his jacket and pulled out his shotgun. Resting it on his shoulder, he opened the door and began the trek down the hallway. He was going out that way anyway; he may as well make a detour and investigate. He grinned slightly as he entered the elevator on Level 69 and hit the down arrow.
Post by Professor Hojo on Dec 23, 2009 12:06:59 GMT
He wasn't really aware of the sounds coming from above, he was too deep down, both in real live and in his thoughts. He kept gazing at the form of Bay in front of him, watching from any chances. He had pulled the needle out a while ago, any curse that could come his way passed through deaf man's ears. There could drop a bomb and he wouldn't have heard. His hands where clasped behind him, holding many of the poisonous, used syringes as a weapon. The only ones he had really, he had forgotten the small gun on his desk, what a shame really. He shook his head in an annoyed way, making locks of his ebony colored hair fall into his face, before a hand released its hold on the other and brushed it back roughly. He had to keep looking, he couldn't miss a thing.
The experiments in the tube stirred though. They felt something strong and instinctively feared it. Their minds where nothing more than that of flee and fight if you're cornered. The good professor however was still deaf to anything, the men though that always stood guard in the laboratories shifted nervously and looked at each other. They could hear the faint sounds of a fight from upstairs, the loud voice warned them as well. Hojo just growled "Can't you both keep silent?!" He snarled, they again looked at each other and shrugged. They couldn't do nothing, and it wasn't as if the man would do anything to them. He was too engrossed in his experiment for now, what a lucky thing. They still felt pity for the boy that Hojo had captured in his web, but what could they do? Cower more?
The siren that even sounded here made Hojo wake up however and he once more looked up, seeing the red lights flashing he cursed underneath his breath Can't a man work in peace around here? He thought bitterly Even if it's for five minutes?!
Apparently not. He pushed himself back and turned, he looked at the cowering experiments and frowned. Strange, he never saw such a reaction out of them, mostly because they where half-dead and they didn't fear him anymore. Thus a sick enjoyment rose into him, maybe he had finally made him afraid with the things he would do with the boy. He was logical however, thus the thought faded quick enough and he shook his head lightly in disappointment "Pity." He murmured, if they didn't fear him now, they would never fear him, even if another was to be experimented on. He learned that much already.
He looked at the men and they flinched unconsciously and one even rubbed his head. He nearly laughed at that reaction, instead he just narrowed his gaze and looked at the door pointedly "Can one find out what's happening?" He questioned, his voice tight as he forced himself to ask it gently and not outright demand it. Hojo felt a song come up into his mind. He had heard it ages ago, but it suited this situation fairly well. He finally laughed, he couldn't hold it back anymore as the man had departed. The other just kept looking with something akin to worry in his gaze. Hojo just couldn't help it, what would it be this time? Someone knocking on the door, asking for revenge?
He didn't know how right he was with that statement. He felt the man return after minutes of absence that Hojo spend looking at those cowering experiments, eyes wide "Th...there's a kid." He managed to stutter out to Hojo, who's eyes narrowed in rage A kid? He thought, but was interrupted as the other male spoke again "He.... he's causing a ravage, sir." He spoke, he felt again a pang of satisfaction. He had hired those men personally and modified them personally to guard him. He knew to a lower extend that the Turks and Soldiers were of limit for him, thus he had needed a personal guard for himself "A ravage?" He echoed, looking with the second more angry at such a 'small' interruption.
The man swallowed, seeing that "He... he said your.." Hojo snapped after a (for him) too long silence "What, what did he say of mine?" He asked, the man swallowed once more and took a step back "He.... He said Bay.." He spoke sir." He added in an afterthought, but Hojo didn't hear him anymore. His features paled, both in shock and rage He thinks he can steal my experiment like that?! He was furious, but the pang of fear couldn't be denied. The loved ones of his experiments, if they dared to come at all, where the worst. They would do everything to safe those he had caught in his web.
He wasn't even aware that Rufus had gotten the same signal and his features paled more, but now in fear. He hadn't asked permission for this experiment and if the man found out then he could be in big trouble. He didn't care for the elder President, he was too lazy to do something with the power he held, but the young man. He was a cunning one, he wasn't afraid to use the bits of power he had gathered.
He cursed once more and turned, spacing ten feet forward, before turning and spacing fifteen steps back. He knew perfect how big this room was, but he wasn't recounting it, as if hoping that it was bigger. He tried to safe himself and avoid getting in troubles. It would seem that it was difficult to do however. He finally hissed and looked at the men in the room "Hide him." He spoke "I don't care where, but get him somewhere out of sight!!" He finally turned and flew up the stairs. He would have to hide himself, somewhat. He had to appear as if he was doing something else than experimenting on illegal subjects.
He shivered and pulled the coat tighter around himself. The experiments upstairs could protect him, somewhat. He doubted that it would hold the fury back that he most likely would face, but it would at least give him a chance to escape if it was needed. He wasn't aware however of the bird that Miumi had brought and that the bird would bring the intruder to Bay that he had so carefully hidden. He searched his desk for the small gun, but it wasn't there. He tried to remember where he had placed it. He cursed softly, he felt that each second wasted would bring himself closer to death. He felt ghosts of past subjects behind him.
They cheered and hollered as they could get Hojo in hands. They were dead, but if he died as well. There was no brain-cell in his head that wanted to think about on what he could face in their hands. He had ruined a lot of lives and they wouldn't hesitate in ruining him back. If he was a lesser man he would (no doubt ) have felt something warm in the front of his pants already. He was stronger than that however, but it didn't mean that he didn't want to do the same; but if he showed fear, then there was a zero percent chance he would survive the ordeal, not that he had a big chance now.
What day was it? what time was it? how long had it been? Bay couldn't tell anymore, he couldn't feel anything he could think straight he couldn't speak or barely hear. He just layed there, even if he could speak he had nothing to say that he hadn't already said make that he couldn't remember who he was, the monsters blood had changed him deeply, his mind was no longer his own he had animalistic thoughts, thoughts of killing of fear, he couldn't remember his name but he knew this wasn't right, he mouth sewn shut it was tight he'd tried tog et it off before but he knew if he did it would only happen again, scars and stitched up patches lay across his torso and arms, marks where needles had pushed inside and showed no mercy, but the last few days his wounds had been healing up faster his legs had been growing twice a humans natural size but his growth for the rest of his body had been stumped. He had so much gunk in his body he wasn't sure if he still had blood in him, his heart was beating three times faster than a normal humans should but he hadn't really walked in months, he was in a cage but he wasn't trying to escape or break even if he was sat in the middle of the room he wouldn't try and escape.
He opened his eyes one was red and the other was black like half of him wasn't alive almost. He watched the master as he thought of it and tilted his head not an emotion gracing his once hnadsome features, bruising going up the side of his face from the constant abuse. But he no longer fought he was slowley becoming a pet, there was one thing that would send him off, he was half animal like and unless it wasn't known by the scientists one taste of blood would send him over and crazy. He listened and for the first time ever he'd seen the scientist scared it made him grin almost madly he wasn't fully sure what he was grinning at but he was. He felt the bracers loosen quickly andd he was lifted before he could react but he didn't react he allowed them to move him, to drop him, to pull him, to throw him, whatever they wanted. He was thrown back into his cage and the cage was dragged behind a three emptyu tubes onee cage shoved on top of him and he had a cover thrown over his cage.
The darkness was warm and welcoming and it made him relax he curled up ignoring the cold floor it began to warm up after a while, even though he couldn't see he could feel somethjing and heard a loud alarm type thing he sat up and stared at the curtain he could feel it in his stomach an instinct someone was there someone strong and angry, He stared for a while until he heard a noise sounded like footsteps he didn't tense or react he just sat there. His skin had gone a greyer colour but he still had normal human face features. He heard a screech and immediatly something jolted in his mind making him mutter a single word "sync..."
The eagle flew through the stairs a little afraid of all the shoouting and violence flying over the guards he could remember the halls and went into the room with cages and landed on the table where fresh blood was gently flowing down the side but sync couldn't see bay and he wasn't a hound he just stood and screeched flapping his wings.
C racking of Miumi's knuckles echoed within the hall he walked. His pain had faded greatly as he began to straighten up and the trail of his blood had faded. The main entrance was a good bit behind him but even from here you could feel the cold essence of the blizzara spell. While the bird took off towards a flight of stairs. Miumi was listening he could hear it flying through the stairs. Miumi knew that the boy was here and he was just so lucky there was another officer. As the man stood there waiting to get the jump on Miumi. He could seen the corner of his gun. Miumi pushed off the ground sending himself towards the opposite side of the wall his body pushed off his foot hitting it suddenly he propelled his body outward coming out near the other's body. He just reacted instantly. As the sound of the gun being moved his hand flew forward hitting the other's neck. This boy was scary looking as he growled almost ferally revealing white fangs which had stains of blood on them from himself. Miumi whispered soemthing into the other' ear. It seemed threatening as the other's skin tone quickly began to turn from crimson from lack of air to ghastly pale. Then Miumi leaned again flicking his tongue against the other's ear causing htem to shiver as he whispered. The other nodded slowly and handed him something it was a keycard. It had his id and had apparently would give him access to almost all levels that he could go into.
Miumi wasn't quiet done as he reached down sliding it within a pocket as he just tightened his grip. He pointed towards Sync. His meaning was becoming clear as another harsh whisper filled the air with a sense of malice. As the sound of footsteps coming down stairs and the sound of elevators coming down. He just smiled as the other mentioned a floor it was something fifty. He just smiled as he suddenly slammed his fist into the other's gut it made a loud pop but the other would be fine as his body began to slum forward. Miumi reached down to his gun grabbing the clips near it. As the first man burst from the stairs. He would just see the man slump to the ground. Miumi had pushed himself against a wall breathing lightly. As they looked around he peered around the corner using the shiny floor to reveal where they were. They weren't playing around as suddenly the sound of a loud ping. It was obvious an elevator was opening another operative walked out as they did Miumi slammed his shoulder into their wind pipe. It caused them to stumble back Miumi disappeared just as the door closed he was hiding but they were coming closer aiming their guns at the door. They would of made a grave mistake as they entered the one next to it and were making acall to cut that elevator. While Miumi smiled and breathed a sigh of relief. He had managed to hide behind a large plant he wasn't stupid.
As he listened there was an eerie silence no harsh breaths or clinks of guns. As Miumi entered the stair way managing to run up a few sets before he called lost Sync. he exitted a door that was cracked it would take him to the fifth floor into a lobby. While he didn't see anyone he noticed an elevator was coming down he would have to hitch a ride as he hide near by as soon as the elevator clinked the boy pushed off the ground so he was standing infront of it. There was Rufus Shinra. He knew this man from the Blitzball Tournament as he stood there he looked at the man suddenly the silence of the room was broken. Miumi's voice was loud and powerful due to the magical energy within his voice. It would cause a minor crack in the glass container of water behind him which rested on a table but to Rufus it was alot softer it sounded calm it was obvious Miumi was in the state of mind to speak. He figured Rufus might know something but he needed this one awake and alive. As Miumi looked at the other Miumi's eyes reflected worry and he seemed to be looking around the room for something.
"Rufus... we meet again... I'm sorry for the damage I've done to your building, but I believe there is something of mine in here somewhere. A young man from my group of guardians went missing. His bird who is linked to him lead me to this building.... Someone said they saw him near the 50th floor... If you would allow me to get my guardian... I will leave without further violence if not well I'm sorry I will have to keep knocking your men around... So Rufus... may I ask what is your choice. "."
Rufus stepped off the elevator on floor five. It was a few floors above where he normally got off, but it would appear that the power to the lower most levels of the building was no longer running. Rufus stepped out, boredly. There before him was the child. The Lucavi. Rufus said not a word, just looked at the boy with a dull expression on his face. Rufus didn't speak because it was obviously not needed for him to speak, the boy launched into an explanation on his own.
Rufus nearly laughed at the boy's openning words. We meet again? Did the boy fancy himself Rufus' nemesis or something? It was funny to hear something so sinsister coming from someone so insignifigant. The boy was no threat. Even if he were, he obviously didn't have the disposition needed to stand before the might of Shin-Ra. During the boy's speech he apologized not once, but twice. He also took an unnecesary tangent, regarding the bird. This boy's mind was not on the prize, it seemed.
Rufus looked away, thinking. So this boy's protector left? And this child tracked him to the Shin-Ra HQ? This Lucavi was a fool! He had no evidence whatsoever that this Bay person was taken against his will, and rather than investigating the disappearance, the boy saw fit to assault the strongest military force on the planet? Rufus actually did laugh out loud this time. He'd have to set the child straight, it seemed.
"Level 50, you say? Well, for you're information, Levels 1 through 59 are all open to the public. If he was truly seen on Level 50, than he must have come here on his own, in which case, I cannot help you. If this guardian of yours was being help prisoner, I may look into it. But Level 50 is the Accounting Offices, not the holding cells. As far as I know, we are not holding anyone at the moment."
Rufus' thoughts strayed for a moment on the escaped prisoners he had the misfortune of running into a few weeks previous. "...and so, I can't help. Are you sure he isn't on one of our guided tours or something?" Rufus gave a little mental chuckle at his own wit. "Listen, Summoner, you are really lucky you bumped into me. Otherwise, you would have kept on going, beating up my men, and they would have killed you. But I'm not going to, because I'm in a hurry. So just listen, kid. There's no one here. I would have gotten word of it, if there were. So just pack up and leave, alright? I'm late getting home as it is, and if you stick around and get killed, It'd be a lot of paperwork that I'd really rather not have to do, you understand?"
W hile the other spoke. Miumi's gaze seemed to shift around the room, he noticed a variety of exit points as the other spoke in a near mocking way, no that wasn't true if this had been open to the public they wouldn't be in such a remote location and wouldn't have had guards at the entrance waiting to put a bullet into someone's head, this man was a horrible liar. As Miumi just stood there and nodded as if he believed him secretly Miumi was debating what to do as the other had a gun suddenly Miumi smiled and turned slightly as if he was going to leave. Suddenly Miumi focused his magical energy into his hand, he couldn't be taken down not by a flimsy shotgun. Suddenly Miumi pushed off the ground with an almost break neck force. He could smell something there was the scent of gun-powder and the metal scent of bullets in the air he knew that he couldn't be near the other. As he got closer towards the door he waved. He wasn't going to give up. He knew that Bay was here, Sync was somewhere looking for him and Miumi wouldn't give up as Miumi ran into the stair case something fell from his person. Rufus could see something glitter on the ground. It was a small ring that was very decorative and it looked like had never been worn. It was something Miumi had bought for Bay. It was a small ring but it looked like it could expand and it was made of a light gold.
When Miumi was half way up the stairs he had noticed the ring and then he remembered the engravement he had done so painfully with a dagger. He looked briefly down at his hands. As he paused for a moment suddenly he focused he let out an almost strange call, it let out energy that seemed to cause an almost pulsating energy. As he channel energy suddenly it seemed as if another pressence could be felt as golden orbs of light spiraled from the chamber lighting it up and Rufus would probably see this as suddenly the sound of heavy wings flapping. As a beast flew up the spires of stairs. As gun men came out of the sixth floor and aimed at Miumi. He looked down at the ring. He would get another if he had to. As the sound of gun shots began to echo he thought he'd feel pain but he didn't even remember jumping. There was a dull thud as Miumi landed on Valefor. His hands tangling within the wiry red mane. As the bird flew upwards it went quickly and almost shockingly fast upwards. He had to stay almost stationary not moving bakc and forht to clear. As Miumi rose through the floors quickly. In mere seconds he was nearing floor ten . The more they rose, The sound of Sync seemed to grow louder. As he just clenched the other's fur. He couldn't leave no he wouldn't not without Sync.
As Miumi rose a brief clip of his memory played within his mind. He had seen a small ring that was within a shop of a store that sold protective items. It had said that the ring could protect it's wearer from pain and suffering. Miumi had bought the ring not as a gift but a symbol of their friendship how it would allow them to protect one another. He remembered his words to Bay that night he got Valefor. As he looked down towards the ring. He had engraved it himself with small cursive letters which curved and seemed like they were professional. No Miumi had spent hours of the time on their way over. It said within the ring. "A friendship that will transcend time and space... I will keep my word I won't let you die." As Miumi came up through the floors. Suddenly a louder shot echoed it had been from a stronger gun and it clipped Valefor's side causing them to veer sharply into the side of the tenth floor. Miumi screamed loudly it ehcoed as he fell over the side of the railing landing on the stairs. He focused his energy and scattered it dismissing the pained Valefor. As it plummeted back down. Miumi felt a dull ache within his chest as he could hear the sound of Valefor's cry. He was sorry he had caused the beast such pain. The sound of footsteps were coming from both sides. Miumi knew his situation was becoming hopeless... Why wouldn't he just give up? But Miumi began to rise upwards, Connecting to Ayamu.
" Ayamu, I don't wish to have to kill anyone... but I will do what I must to save Bay.... "
W hen he spoke, His voice quivered slightly, he didn't want to have to fight. As the troops grew closer. He could feel it that rush that made him want to scream in excitement, it was pumps of andrenilla, it made his body feel warm and his veins felt slightly like they were widening. As his eyes would dilate slightly it was like he was drunk of the high of this energy. As he looked at Ayamu it was obvious that he knew if he died, Sync would died soon, Bay would suffer or die, he didn't know which, Ayamu would fade quickly after Miumi. But this boy was so determined. He felt that warm sliver sliding down his face. He was crying because now he realized how hopeless it was. He knew that he might die but for some reason he didn't feel afraid. He didn't feel like he was going to cry because of that. He cried because he had just wanted his guardain back. That man down below had no heart if he wouldn't give Miumi Bay back. Suddenly Miumi screamed, His voice filled the floors with a near banshee like wail. It echoed within the hall and the power of Miumi's magic made it so it went farther he prayed that Bay could hear him. He knew that his own ears hurt from his powerful voice, He wouldn't give up no, he just couldn't it was times like this he wished he knew cure. He just hoped that Hojo could hear him. He just hoped that he got there before it was to late.
" I WILL KEEP MY PROMISE BAY!!!
A s he screamed his bear turned to face the soliders caming from the below lying on the stairs he would jump when he thought the time was right. While the bear asked a question MIumi's mental response was. I will never forget that he helped me in my dreams. He gave me the faith to believe. He was my first true friend, the first one who cared for me. He is in truble because he came with me Ayamu.. I won't let him die... I can't.
"Why do you care so much Mi'lord?"

He finally found the small gun and pocketed it safely. He looked at the small 'legal' experiments in this ream and released them. They didn't look at him, shocked at their sudden freedom. Nothing on their body thought about fleeing, the powerful presence had rooted them to the ground, but in this small room it would quickly switch those minds to fight the attacker, something Hojo aimed for. He froze himself though as he heard the banshee like voice screaming and he rubbed his arm, trying to stop protecting his ears. He would Not appear weaker than he truly was.
"I WILL KEEP MY PROMISE BAY!!!"
He heard in those words and he was sure that he would regret it as well. But still, he couldn't show fear. His traitorous body was maybe frozen for now, yet his mind kept working and trying to find many plans on how he could escape if it was needed. He quickly walked to the computer and typed some numbers in it. If it was really needed he could activate the Jenova cells in himself. It was a painful process, but it gave him a higher chance of survival and that was all that counted. He slowly licked his lips Let them try. He suddenly thought, fiercer than he would have believed of himself.
They never understood what it was to be a scientist. He closed his eyes and his free hand pulled his glasses away and with the remaining fingers he managed to pinch the bridge of his nose and rub slow circles. He was agitated, tired and he needed coffee badly. One of the assistants, one that brought him something before (he recalled faintly) seemed to guess it and brought him this time the much needed coffee. He dipped his head briefly in acknowledge before taking a sip. The hot liquid burned his tongue but he ignored it. The woman was ignored as well, thus he missed the fearful looks as well. He wouldn't have understood anyway why they would be afraid of his experiments.
His thoughts briefly turned back to Sephiroth. Would he be able to see his 'son' after this was done, or would he be lying in a puddle of his own blood? He couldn't think about it and again a shudder ran over his spine and he quickly took something up to give his hands to do. His mutters increased and sounded more crazed as if he tried to ignore everything around him "Where was it placed?" He said softly "I'm sure that it should be here." He moved his hand as if swatting an annoying fly away or even an annoying thought.
"Most likely those lowly things, never knowing when to stay away from stuff with their fingers." He growled softly underneath his breath. He brushed down his coat and finally stopped pretending that everything didn't bother him. He turned to the woman and promptly snapped at her that she better be gone. She did so, hurriedly, snapped out of her daze. The creatures, all deformed, looked after her, before their glowing eyes turned to him. He looked back, eyes narrowing and more than a few lowered their eyes in submission.
"My pretties." He talked softly "There is someone coming to kill you." He spoke, a few growls resounded as if they wanted to say better death than remain in little cages! He didn't hear it in that however and smirked "I know you rather tear me the throat out, but he's far more important." He mentioned briefly to the stair and stepped back. He held the weapon ready and the creatures seemed to take the hint that they couldn't attack him and kept crouched, waiting for whoever wanted to attack them. It didn't cross their animalistic brains that the boy coming toward them was coming for Hojo and not for them.
He faintly heard the bird coming and laughed, throwing his head back once more "Do you hear that boy?" He screamed in Bay's direction, although he wasn't sure if the boy would hear him "They are trying to save you!" Even if he wanted he couldn't have stopped laughing, the thoughts of being killed suddenly looked so funny. As if someone could touch him! He was Professor Hojo damn it! Nothing could touch him! He touched them! Made them more powerful if it was needed! The president wouldn't let him die as well, how else would he be able to make more Soldiers, only he knew the formula and he was careful enough not to write it down anywhere.
He still laughed "That blasted bird of yours will be the end of us." He continued yelling, mentioning to the experiments and himself, although he knew that the boy couldn't see it, but he was beyond caring. Dang, he really needed to get some whiskey if he survived this. He would go home or even in one of the rooms here and drink till he passed out. He deserved it, right? The laugh faded and his features froze again in their twisted look "No one will." He muttered, not sure what he was talking about himself. He shoved it to the fear that he still outright denied feeling.
Screaming was perhaps a bad idea, because just then, the door to each and every floor above and below him opened and out poured hundreds of armed guards, all of them with their guns trained on the little summoner.
Meanwhile, the beasts and expiriments begin their dash down the stairs, to meet with Miumi.
Shin-Ra Floor Plan 70-President Shinra 68-Hojo and Bay and Expiriments are here 67-Rest of Science Department is here 59-Cafeteria 51-Director of SOLDIER's Office 49-SOLDIER Floor 10-Miumi is here 5-Rufus is here
--Miumi: continue up the stairwell, but know that the guards will not make it easy. 75 words per floor, with specifically designed mini-bosses on certain floors. (which I will introduce as we get to them).--
--Hojo: RP as the expirements as they work their way down to Miumi. The guards will likely run from the beasts when they see them, so it's unlikely they'll give them any trouble. 25 words per floor, again with mini-bosses on certain floors (not all of the guards will be so easily frightened).--
--Bay: You can atempt an escape if you so choose, however, keep in mind that you are in the heart of enemy territory. 2000 words to escape, not counting the battle that will probably occure once you're out.--
--Rufus: Chase after Miumi, the guards will make way for you, enabling you to pass much faster than any of the others. 20 words per floor, with no mini-bosses. Because of the obvious advantage Rufus has over Miumi to catch up with him, Rufus cannot post again until after Miumi does.--
S ilence claimed Miumi after his scream as his body slumped down to the ground as if he was asleep. He looked so peaceful as he lay there his long black locks of hair had covered his face obscuring his eyes which were slitted like a cats. As he slowly edged his way to the side of the stair-case hiding himself from the gunners who were aiming for him. As the guards were coming from both below and above the ones below had to be stopped first if he was lucky the injured would slow that man down. He knew the other had a shotgun and in a close quarter battle until he could get to hand to hand he was at a severe disadvantage due to the spray of the shot gun meaning Miumi had to be quicker on his feet and exhaustion was beginning to claim Miumi. As one of the men came up his gun trained on Miumi, he could sense his presence as MIumi listened the man walked closer and slowly leaned down grabbing Miumi roughly by the hair. Suddenly pain shot through Miumi's body and he grabbed the other's arm squeezing so hard that the skin broke and thin trickles of blood came from his hand. The man would yell as suddenly he was above Miumi. Miumi was using his lower leverage as the other's hands fell from his hair. Miumi smiled up at the man before that cold look in Miumi's eyes he whispered a soft apology.
Suddenly Miumi flung the other, his body would actually go down to a flight below them and slam into the wall with a loud thud and a crack. It had probably just been a minor fracture of the skull. As Miumi quickly pushed off the ground as a barrage of bullets hit where he had just been. No matter where he seemed to move within his small space they could shoot at him so he did the next best thing. He giggled for a moment and let a glyph of ice form within his hands. As they shot at him he ducked down watching as the bullets wildly ricocheted around the small child. He felt the heat and pressure from them coming near him but he was lucky. Suddenly Miumi felt the coldness within his hand he slammed his hand down on the edge of the stair case forming a thick ice wall that connected from this floor to the next. It wasn't climbable but it blocked higher up gunners. A sound of a gun cocking near him caused him to turn around. A bullet that would of hit his heart grazed his arm causing a spray of blood and then that rush of warmth within Miumi as blood trickled slowly down his arm. This man was different his eyes pulsed with a small amount of mako as did another man he saw further ahead. This is what some people had spoken of this was the companies elite.
As Miumi sprung from the ground coming in close quickly rending the gun that the other had useless. As Miumi came in closer he looked at the other men who seemed to be afraid of what was going to happen. There was fear in some of the normal one's eyes but this man there was nothing he relished the thought of a battle. As Miumi hit the hand holding the gun the sound of his hand connecting with the ohter's followed by pops. Miumi was using the gun in his hand to cause him more pain. It had worked as the other dropped the gun after he realized Miumi wasn't going to back up. As the other swung towards Miumi. Miumi kicked the gun as he pushed off the ground. While in mid air he hadn't expected the other's reaction to be so quick as the other's hand flew out hitting Miumi in the stomach causing him to fly backwards and crash into the wall of his own creation. Pain radiated through his body, it had felt like he had been hit by a bat made of pure steel. As he clutched his stomach and attempted to get his breath. This man was a sadistic bastard. As Miumi began to attempt to inhale air he began to walk calmly towards Miumi. Who began to cower slightly. The look in Miumi's eyes was one of a wounded cornered wild animal. The problem with that type of animal was when they were cornered you never knew what they were going to do.
He didn't know what class solider this was but Miumi knew one thing this battle was slowing him down and probably bringing that man Rufus ever so much closer. As Miumi was picked up by the throat by that man. His hand began to tighten like a vice grip. Miumi realized he had no choice as slowly his world began to grow hazy. He focused he was going to over load this man's brain. As Miumi began to think the words for the chant suddenly his hand began to cackle with electrical energy it flew from one to the other. As slowly the other began to see black coming in closer. Miumi slammed his hands down around the other's head for a moment it had no effect but suddenly the other began to scream wildly their arm releasing as the nerves shut down for a bit. Miumi fell downwards but he didn't stop. The other began to spasm as Miumi did this only then did he stop. When the he stopped the other fell backwards. His eyes were distant. Miumi had done something he normally wouldn't because there was always the risk that Miumi would fry their brain. Of course he hadn't forgotten there were others who were quickly moving in. As they did Miumi would look down at Ayamu and simply nod his head. The bear would slow rise. Miumi threw him past a few of the men running up the stairs. They marched over Ayamu but a chain was there.
As the men ran the chains would tighten coiling around their ankles. Miumi and Ayamu pulled different ways sending a few to the gronud with damaged ankles. Miumi had to slow down some of these men as another bullet went off it almost grazed Miumi's ear as Miumi spiraled he pulled the chains free from the ankles suddenly the bear came flying. It's fur was harder as Miumi channeled magic into it's body when it hit the other head first it actually made a loud thud. Miumi had actually knocked a man out with a teddy bear, while it was also because Miumi had given Ayamu some other things to carry like his gear so all that weight had actually shifted the small pouch within him forward causing that effect. As Miumi was breathing his throat hurt alot as he slowly brought his hand up to his throat rubbing the spots where that man's hands had been. There were deep purple lines forming along his throat. That man had almost crushed his throat if that would of happened he wouldn't be moving to much as slowly he walked over that man grabbing his bag. Throwing things onto the ground quickly until he found a small bottle. He pulled the top off and sniffed. It was a potion just what he needed as he chugged the vial. The pain was being subdued by the feeling of warmth within his body. He knew he had to keep running. But if he couldn't do it comfortable it caused a problem.
"Come on Ayamu."
W hen Miumi spoke, his voice was calm and collected but it sounded pained. As that man was so much stronger that Miumi had expected. Suddenly he heard something the men they had stopped moving for some reason. As his head turned they had their guns aimed at him and then he saw it. A thin red beam was on the ice and heard the fire, something hit the ice and was sticking to it. He stared blankly for a few moments and suddenly the sound of the ticking and the tock began. Miumi's eyes widened it was a bomb. Suddenly his eyes would widen brightly as he pushed off the ground suddenly flying into the middle of the next barrage of men. His suddenly pressure and weight knocked a few down. Suddenly a shower of ice hit where he and the men had been. It pinned a few by their clothing some by their hands. But no one was dead which was a miracle. He had also created an obstacle for Rufus as now shards of ice and metal lay on the ground as well as broken parts of the stairs. It littered the tenth floor causing quite the obstacle. As Miumi had barely advanced a single floor this men weren't playing as suddenly the gun shots began again. So they knew he needed time to prepare some of his attacks. He began to run quickly bullets hitting where he had been or where he was going a few grazed his body but he kept going.
The stair case began to become an endless labyrinth, as Miumi seemed to travel endlessly he had lost count of the number of stairs the flights he had climbed. He knew that his knuckles and his legs hurt, the men who he had fought were getting stronger the higher he went up as he did it took him longer and longer to get through and he had to take a quick breath occasionally or chug one of the potions he had begun to gather from the guards. As Miumi came to where he assumed was a safe spot. The guards had stopped firing for a bit he was happy as he lowered himself to the ground. A look of exhaustion laced across his face. Miumi was like the frog trapped at the bottom of the well. He could see the sky yet no matter how many times he jumped to be free. He could never quite escape the well. While within that well he learned something that so many people never understood. As Miumi rested his head back he reached into Ayamu's mouth and pulled out a dumpling of a sort. He was hungry and heknew he wouldn't have time to stop later. The dumpling was massive in comparison to Miumi's hand. It was packed with herbs and nutrients. While Miumi tore at it like a wild animal in mere seconds the entire thing was gone. Why hadn't the child given up. Did he care that much about a person who might not even be here.
As Miumi slowly began to raise his one hand towards the sky and clench at something. It seemed the child had snapped mentally for he was grasping at air and leaving his hand out in the open to be blown off. As he just lay there for a moment longer deep within though. He was thinking back to a story that his "mother" had told him. It was a tale of Icarius who was a bird who had grown false wings which were made of wax. One day during flight those wings broke and ended up dragging the bird to it's demise. While she told Miumi something that day that made him happy. She said that all people of every land were blessed with wings. The problem was that so many people couldn't spread them due to the chains that bound them. The woman looked at her child for a moment stroking his cheek. Miumi smiled softly. Then she said something. She said she believed that Miumi could spread his wings and soar into the sky. To bring hope to those who were bound to the ground. A soft smile played Miumi's doll like face as slowly his body began to rise. It had been to quiet as the men seemed to have begun to treat a few injured as Miumi looked down. But then there was something else about the room. It was like an endless spire. He couldn't even hear Sync anymore. He knew that the bird was probally trying to help Bay.
"It's the calm before the storm isn't it Ayamu..."
A s Miumi spoke there was an undeniable feeling, there was someone watching him somewhere and they were much stronger. Miumi could actually feel their pressence it was cold and calculating much like the one of death. As Miumi stood firm and comfortably. A soft look of innocents stained his face as he saw something briefly move he would just yawn slightly and stretch as his muscles had relaxed. As he turned to face the challenge that was ahead. Was this what other's would call love... to risk your own life to save someone you barely knew.
"Mi'lord why do you keep fighting now?"

Noises were beginning to get louder and bay was starting to feel agitated, the noises were reaching his ears and making them ring making him cringe and cover them, his grey hands shaking lightly as he closed his eyes but the ringing was getting louder, it was continuous and getting louder and louder bays nails started to become extremely claw, his nail just seemed to be growing become strong and sharper as they got longer about as long as half off his hand, unknowing he was gripping his ears harder in a way to stop the noise but it was still going it was being joined by voice and shouts and gunfire and footsteps. He was shaking he couldn't take it, it was just going on and on his nails scratched his face making blood slowly drip down, once a human being the blood wasn't human not fully anyway. 'stop it stop it' he thought over and over but it was just joining to the barrage of noise, but one sound came in loud and clear a screech, a hawks screech over and over crying almost. Bay slowly let go of his face staring at the dark sheets, he heard a voice his masters voice but it no longer made sense to him, but the smell of blood did, he touched his face and saw it on his fingers it was warm and thick flowing gently, it was barely feel able and it didn't hurt.
Suddenly only one voice was clear he didn't know who's it was but it was calm and deep and a little scratchy, it seemed to totally override his thinking almost 'its time to go... bay its time to kill... its time for blood' bay just sat there silent his breathing got faster and he started grinning and even though his lips were together there was the sound of a dark chuckle he stayed crouched and breathed his legs bunching as if to spring. He couldn't think of anything more his sense of smell over taken but a lust he'd never had before 'blood',
Now If Hojo was observant enough he would notice something was wrong, although the experiments were focusing on the intruder some began to turn and stare at the cages that bay was behind, they began to back away from it, the threat downstairs being nothing to the threat in the same room, one or crouched or was ready to attack but most had there stare locked on the boxes one even shaking, the humans couldn't feel it but the others could. They were waiting betting on it, Hojo had done too much this time he'd created a monster. The rooms atmosphere went silent and tense they were waiting every second dragged closer to the madness, every second bay was getting closer and closer. His heart felt almost constricted sudden feelings of chlostirpohbia began to set in, his animalistic senses making him almost panic, he couldn't breath he felt trapped he wanted to be out but most of all, he wanted blood. The smell, the feel was enough, he wanted more.
The slender weapons grown onto his hands sliced through the thread that was keeping his mouth shut and his licked his hand his grin turned crazy and the laugh was more easily heard, he was insane, maybe Hojo really had pushed it too far. He laughed louder and louder and then there was a clunk from the cages as two fell over and then again and then smash! He broke through the top climbing out the grin still plastered on his grey beaten face. "hojo..." he almost sang "hojo" he no longer thought of this human as master more like lunch, the other things suddenly backed away even to an extent of running out the room or into a corner, bay wasn't there anymore. Thought he expected little from the professor he was slow in his movements standing and walking to wards him his right shoulder twitching ever know and then, his legs were starting to warm up after not walking for so long, they were long used for speed, dangerous speed. He titled his head smiling until he heard a gunshot which sent his instincts over the edge, a loud noise and animals never mix. He roared out it was deep and scratchy like roar but also like a cry out of the real bay he gripped his head and ran forward his eyes wild with anger and lust.
A guard came into sight and bay didn't need to think he as on them the thread falling from his lips to reveal unnaturally sharp teeth but only one grown fang on the right side of his mouth that fit nicely in there. the weapons on his hands similar to that of the bears were extended and he was snarling. 'kill them all, make them suffer, go for the throat and bite' this voice bay didn't know it wasn't his but it was the only thing he trusted. The guard was actually shouting, he was panicking unlike most of the experiments bay was not trained the fear gone from his bones, the man desperate to get away fired his gun but that only angered bay more he did as his mind told him, he knocked the gun away with a claw then bite ravaging his throat and opening it, the man collapsed grasping at the air trying to shout out but nothing but gasps and stutters coming out. Bay grinned and watched the blood gush he licked his lips 'they should all suffer' hissed the voice and bay turned to continue on his quest for blood.
Leaping down three flights of stairs and running forward he wasn't harmed the mark on his cheek had actually healed itself up, it was nearly gone, his right shoulder continued to twitch and he killed guard after guard, ripping throat taking off limbs, one man had lost both his legs because bay had pulled them from his torso watching him squirm and scream in agony it was beautiful. He sniffed the bloody end of the leg and licked it shuddering at the strong salty taste he grinned and went on dropping the legs leaving guards behind him one or two pretending to be dieing so he'd leave them, it seemed like nothing could stop him. Wave after wave this continued blood everywhere, smashed glass and no Hojo in sight bay was beginning to really enjoy himself.
After a few more floors word began to spread of the monster free to take them, some guards even fled, running down stairs past miumi and the others, bay caught one on the staircase leaping on him, his claws going straight through the others soft chest, he chuckled cruelly and held on even when the man collapsed down the stairs lying there about to die bay grabbed his head and tore it from his body he was laughing though he was enjoying himself so much, he felt away from the horrible noises and the box he loved it. But he dropped the head letting it roll, the terrified face of the guard plastered on it, bay suddenly stared at the intruder but it almost calmed him, he titled his head to the right most guards were backing away anyway leaving the monster to take the intruder himself. 'why do i... know that fac..blood... must make blood appear.. must kill noise' his thoughts were being manipulated and turned against him by his own head, he wasn't bay anymore, his black eye blinked, the reason it was black was because it read heat, like really hot came up as a red blob and cold came up clear. This body was weird though it was real but the guards near him looked a lot more appetizing so he went straight past him laughing and slicing his claws against the guards chest who luckily for his Armour only got hurt a little before swinging for bay with a baton, bay grabbed it and yanked it away before bay jumped up and swung it, landing on the mans shoulder knocking him over continued to beat him to death, he strength scarily enhance, but his small body not giving away much.

The experiments that where smarter had run out and tried to get at the people, although many jumped out of the way. They didn't mind, they jumped the fleeing guards anyway. Professor Hojo meanwhile had returned to the lab and looked at one of the experiments that wasn't released after Bay's escape, but now it seemed that he had to. He had used some of her cells to create him and she maybe could swing him to come back to him, that he needed to get better first. He used her desire when she was still human to have children, but she had been unable to and had come begging. He hit the button and took a step back, he looked at the monster as she almost gracefully stepped out. The sockets where once her eyes where focused on him.
"Where... am I?"
He didn't answer for a full minute or two before shaking his head "You are at the Shinra Headquarters." He spoke lightly, showing no fear. She was one of the best personal projects and he trusted her fully, although her mind was nothing more of that of a beast "Someone escaped." He finally said and her head fell to the side, if she could blink she would have done so "He's your.... son, so to say." Her expression seemed to twist and she turned, before floating, or was it running, away. A loud sound escaping her. She wanted her child back!
She had no problems running through the hallways, most of the guards having run away or killed. There were a few places where experiments still tried to prey on guards that miraculously still stood upright. She didn't notice them however, she only had eyes for the experiment that her master had called son. It was the only desire that she had taken with her when she still was human, so far away now it seemed. Her desire wouldn't be easily killed, neither would be her body. Her arms where spread as if she wanted to give someone a bear-hug.
The other experiments jumped apart, they knew her well enough. She was maybe locked up but she had tortured them sometimes with her voice in their heads. They couldn't let it stop and Hojo wasn't someone that would stop it either. He most likely would sit down and write everything up that happened with them as her voice continued scratching in their minds. She didn't notice anything anymore, her blind eyes looking everywhere. The walls didn't seem to exist for her and she blindly would have run through them.
MY SON!
She screamed into everyone's mind, not finding Bay admits the rest of the life forms. If she had touched his mind before she would have known. The guards and other people only would feel a dull throbbing at that voice. Not enough to be a bother and it could be easily passed down at the slight stress that they felt at fighting. The experiments that where free howled and then jumped forward, as her voice faded in search for another guards. They needed to find their enemy; the one that wanted to destroy them and their master. Master needed to be protected ran through all their minds.
They wouldn't be stopped. Their claws scratched the floor as they pushed each other away. A few where killed when teeth, poisoned or not, of another experiment landed in them. The walls hadn't much luck either, if one would dare to look at them when all was over they would notice the marks of teeth and claws in them as well, sometimes even the faint dents when a tail had hit the stone. They followed the howling -female- experiment. No one had a gender, but they addressed each other as they were addressed by Hojo, the man they considered their master. She was like a shield to them, although still many where killed as the more courageous guards stood their ground to shoot at them.
Hojo meanwhile stepped outside as well. He knew that he couldn't remain here or face death. He ran through the building for something that he could consider safe, it was a hard thing though. He wasn't sure anymore if there was still something in the building that could be considered safe. He still had to try however, it would be alright if he found the young President. He would need to lie of course if the man asked the feared question of 'what did you do?' or anything alike really. He would really hate it if that happened.
He still feared the presence that was coming to get Bay, although the experiments hopefully would keep him back long enough for him to find Bay again, put him safely back again and get back to experimenting. He only hoped that She, the female experiment, would find him. She was stronger than the regular experiment, but she still could be easily killed by a bullet if it hit her somewhere vital like organs or head. He had a better chance though if it was only the organs, but if it was the head she would be lost.
He hadn't found anything yet to transplant brains with, so even if he succeeded saving the body. He couldn't use it again, neither small parts of her. She was too complex, speaking about her, where was she? She, was still running through the halls. She still looked vaguely human, if one dared to look closer to her. Well, if one ignored the tentacles, odd skin color and other things that seemed to come out of her. Her mouth opened again in a silent scream, although it couldn't be said for the mental aspect as another mental scream tore out of her.
My son, come to me!
She yelled once more, the words barely hearable in the pure anguish poured into her voice, making the experiments pause again as they shook their head. They wanted to get rid of that annoying voice that continued to echo in their head constantly. A few even considered ripping her apart, but master wouldn't be pleased and punish them. Rows of teeth where bared as they tried to ignore it as much they could. They only hoped that she found soon what she searched for, maybe then her voice would be silenced before she was locked up again.
Hojo himself was still running, trying to get to the blonde Vice-president. He would know what to do, right? He cursed himself once more, why hadn't he put his experiment in a better cage, then this escapade wouldn't have happened. He realized that he had messed up once and if he had to say that he did it again. He couldn't foresee the results, Rufus would be extremely pissed and he wouldn't be able to stop that. He couldn't touch the blond, if he could, then he would have done so long ago.
He had to grit his teeth however and hope that it wasn't that bad. He again hoped with all his heart that the experiment could catch Bay. It would be okay again once more, he could call the other surviving experiments back easily. But Bay had always seemed that he wouldn't break so easily, although it had appeared like that, he knew that something like this would happen sooner or later. He only had wished that it was the later that had happened.
Well... it had only one good aspect, in this chaos it wouldn't be so noticed as quick that he had fucked up. He only hoped that it would be enough. He closed his eyes and jammed the door closed and leaned with his back against it. He opened his eyes again after a few minutes and faced the stairs that he would have to do. He only hoped that he wouldn't face any obstacles here, else he would be even more pissed. No one wanted to face a pissed Hojo. He nearly laughed again, but this time hysterical. He almost had pissed his pants, he finally could admit.
Damn, they really could be scary if they wished to be. He swallowed and then started his trek downward, Rufus most likely would be there anyway. He was foolish, but it was all in the name of science, that had to be alright, no? He couldn't understand that many people where so disapproving of it. No, don't be distracted. He had to be focused on finding the blonde.
So, I felt like a bit of a walk around. Rude wasn't anywhere to be found and neither was the newbie. So that led me to the conclusion that they were both on a ission. Or cueball had scored himself some premium choice ass. Alls the favour to the guy, but still. Think he could have at least told a guy, rather than have me wandering around the Shinra building like a lost puppy. Things hadn't gone too well since we got back. Prof Hojo had been extatic to get the Jenova slimey sample back in his hands. And the report of us disabling Galbadian missiles earned us a nice bonus in the pay check department. But even then.
Our suprise attack had failed. And one of the soldiers in first class lay dead as a door nail. Head lobbed right off. I can imagine Sephiroth is reeling from the whole thing. Wanting to get back in there. Hell knows I am. But even then. Thats up for the suits to decide.
And it looked like President Shinra was opting for peace. Rather than pieces. None the less, who did I see up ahead but blondie. Richy rich himself. The vice president of Shinra, talking to some foriegn kid. And it looked like a doozie as well. I was about to make my move, when my extremely masculine senses picked up a sense of testostirone around the kid. That is to say, upon closer inspection. He appeared to be of the male gender. Rather than the first impressed female.
The blood felt good, it smelt good its tasted salty. Pulling away from the corpse that was once a guard he stepped back, blood covering him dripping from his hands he swung round snarling un humanly, sharp teeth once held together posed threatening 'not going back, no way' he smelt familiar scent and heard roars of others, but these ones weren't free like him. They wanted him back, but he didn't want to go back he had to go, breath be free. He turned to run when claws raked down his back he hissed and jumped forward rolling and standing growling at the other. The other experiment snarled for him to return to 'master'.
He laughed "master... master! You fools he is food, rpey for us no master of ours' he laughed and jumped a the other. Although it had been obviouse that the experiment had got bay only a tiny scratch remained, and bay grew back his swords and sliced down onto him making the other jump away. He laughed before freezing, 'my son!' he shook his head holding it gently. 'what was that? son?' he looked a tthe experiment who too shook his head and told him to return and bay ran, back down the stairs finally clear on what he had to do 'GET OUT'.
BUt as he came to more guards he fell forwards holding his head tightly the shouting had got louder, it was almost burning his brain, his heated eye could see the heat from the experiments on his tail but there was a smell of one he ahd never met, one he oculdn't see just yet. He rammed through the guards and ran more roaring and shouting out at seemingly nothing "shut uP! shut UP! i am not a son!" he continued to shout as he ran
Rufus watched as the impossibly ignorant child ran in the other direction, strait to the stairway, and dashed upward. He watched the demon disappear around the corner, and felt the walls shake. The boy must have been summoning. This was getting to be a nusiance. There was no doubt that the boy would be killed, he had already sealed his fate with his persistance. That was not in question. The question was how much damage the boy would do to the building itself before being brought down.
Just then a man stepped around the corner behind Rufus. How long he had been there, Rufus could not be sure, but it didn't matter, for this man was one of the very few that Rufus trusted. One of his Turks.
The Turks were just about the only people he trusted. They were all his own personal soldiers. He had his personal bodyguard, his personal pilot, his personal strong-man, and his personal foreign guy. Together they were Rufus' personal team. Or at least they are in theory. In actuality, Rufus' father had sent them out on random errands on more than one occasion.
Rufus wouldn't deny that these missions were important, but his father could just as easily have used the SOLDIER 1sts. Rufus couldn't help but think that his father used the Turks intentionally just to get under Rufus' skin. Though soon it wouldn't matter. Soon the Turks would be Rufus' personal attack squad, and no one else's.
This particular Turk was "Pilot" Turk. Rufus knew his name, but he made a point of never referring to him by it. It was a disapproving gesture that Rufus was certain Pilot Turk had noticed. It wasn't that Rufus disliked him, no, not at all! Rufus valued all of his Turks, they were all closer to him than anyone else. But Rufus could like someone and still disapprove of their behavior. And that was exactly the case here.
Pilot Turk was funny, laid back, a tad self-centered, but a hard worker when he needed to be. Sure, he was a jackass, but he was a loyal jackass, and that was good enough for Rufus. Or it would have been, if it weren't for the constant complaints about him. A huge chunk of Rufus' paper work were complaint forms from dozens of various female employees...it was mostly Elena, though there were a few female secretaries and lab techs in the bunch as well. Rufus' life would be so much easier if If Pilot Turk were just a tad less of a pervert.
The red haired man smiled, sneering at Rufus, asking if he had any trouble, drawing out the word boss. Not only was he teasing Rufus for not being able to handle the child, but he seemed resentful of Rufus' own authority. No matter, resentful or not, at least he acknowledged his position.
Rufus shook his head in response. "Trouble? Me? No. It's that summoner who is asking for trouble..." Rufus walked over to the stairwell that the boy had run up, holding the door open for Reno, offering to let him go first, a grin on Rufus' face. "Care to help me give it to him?"
