Sleep. It was something he'd much rather be doing. It was more alluring to him that walking Gaia, traversing its streets, its lands, the hard concrete paths and the long winding roads. He wa a simple man, determined to sleep away eternity, bound forever to the torturous Gaia, with painful memories, a bleeding past and a dull and distant future.
Vincent Valentine was a monster, or so he classed himself. He was up and about, only because he found himself frustrated, unable to return to sleep, hindered by the activity beyond his wooden coffin. It had been his only and greatest desire, to sleep, to lie in those confines unhindered, undeterred for the rest of time. Vincent, always had liked a good sleep, but unfortunately due to his training as a Turk he slept far too lightly for the task at hand.
He sat on a Midgar roof, attempting to adjust to the changes of the world. Shinra had always been advanced but that was thirty years ago. The city had changed a bit since then. He was in his usual relaxed position, ready to slip back into the shadows, and worm his way through the gritty streets. Vincent always preferred a natural environment to the harsh mechanical world Shinra thrived in. Even as a young Turk greenery appealed to him. Perhaps because it reminded him of home.
