ADMIN POST This man was searching for something, it seemed that he was lost thought. A small sinister looking smile came across that face of the figure who was watching from the shadows. The faint whispers were falling upon their ears they knew that the other could probably hear them as well. Why else would he be looking. Slowly their body began to lower from the trees. Their eyes were eerie, they had no white to them, they were as black as the depth of the night, this was someone of great power as they came near, the very essence of death seemed to radiate from their body. As their eyes closed for a moment and reopened revealing that darkness was moving as if it were trying to escape, this creature infront of him was known as Azareal, named after the angel of death. That meant there was a twin somewhere, and it was true she was a twin of Abaddon the angel of destruction. They were hardly ever apart but this man had caught Miumi's attention as slowly Azareal began to walk slowly the lights caught her skin, she was as white as a dead man. Though it didn't take away from her beauty. As she walked her presence was silent the man probably wouldn't realize her until she was near. The more she emerged from the darkness the more the essence of death was visible. Some would swear that a shinigami was hovering around her. Suddenly her voice pierced the air. It was cold and empty of all emotion but it sounded so human.
"What is it you seek? I could possibly be of assistance for a cost..."
As her words seemed to drag on with an endless sense of time, it was becoming apparent that this person before him was a cursed child, forever trapped within the vessel of a child for the horrible deeds she had done. As she came closer enough her slender long fingers spread wide as if to offer some profound wisdom, they were like the hands of a skeleton, her face was heart shaped framed by hair as dark as her heart. She had no reason to help this man but possible power and destruction. As she moved, he could see that her outfit was eerie, it was a tight black corset which clug to her flat body, revealing she could be no older then ten in her appreance, but there was the skirt of black and red which clung tightly to her slender body and went down. She looked like a vampire from myths. But then there were the blackish wings that emerged from her back, they were stained red at the tips and were bound against her back by chains of silver. Which flowed down her arms and connected to her wrist. They appeared to be able to grow and restrict always cursing Azareal to walk among the very thing she killed. The elders had been cruel as they had taken away her very thing she loved the most, to fly and to be free to create showers of blood using her enemies bodies. Her eyes were unwavering like piercing daggers on the other.
As she came closer she reached down and pulled out a small hat and placed it upon her head, it had a skull on the front and a lacy cob-web like ribbion which looked so good on the child, while she moved her leg, there was something there it was a small sheath, it had runes engraved upon it, that was her holy weapon, it appeared so tiny but could easily grow to the size of a car depending on her will. It would always feel like a feather within her hands but to those who touched it besides her, it would burn and brand them for life. As she stared at the other. A small devlish smirk adored her face. How desperate was this man for his quest she wondered if he could possibly free her from her prison. They had to do it willingly and of the pure and kindness of their heart. As she felt her lips pull upwards, the icy blue tone of her lips was soon realized that she wore no make-up her lips were cold from having kissed Death so much. But her teeth were viciously sharp but appeared almost gentle within her mouth. As she looked at him again and smiled. She was waiting for his response to her question. As she absently began to trace her fingers along a leather sheath which felt cool under her skin and she smirked.
Validor sat several moments in the growing darkness still thinking to himself, when out of nowhere a mysterious little girl appeared before him. He remained quiet analyzing her quickly, unaware of her intentions. Voix de la terra remained quiet though the vibe he was recieving from it most definately felt quite wary.
She was small, yet ominous and imposing. She was a creature of darkness, the pain and insanity could be seen in her eyes. Being torn between childhood and maturity. He looked her down and back up, noticing the chains restricting powerful wings, covered in the sanguine color of blood. He voice was chilling to the spine and seemed to defeat the temporal setting around them.
Gaia had no whispers at the moment. Everything was silent. She remained there patiently and smiling waiting for his answer. Surely she did not think that he would fall for her bait? There was no doubt even if he did ask for help, which for as far he could see he didn't, that she wanted something. And not simply something small of cost. She would surely want him to return the favor, but what else could he do? She seemed the right sort to be one of knowing things. And in such places such as the Lost Continent, there would be no doubt that he should recieve help from someone who knew the area. While every nerve in his body told him not to he decided to relent to her question, deciding not to rudely be silent much longer.
Beware little one.... Terra had spoken.
He felt relieved to here its voice, and wary he would be. Certainly she could possibly hold the information he sought, but she in no way seemed the trustful type.
"Yes miss, I'm searching for something not widely known. My travels have lead me here to Lost Continent though I'm stuck past that... I seek the XXVIth Gate. Do you know of it miss? If you can help me I maybe able to meet your cost."
The silence permeated the very volume of the air. His tone hung in the air like a soft note before dissapearing into the darkness and silence.
This man, was desperate it appeared, she had yet to introduce herself and would prolong that as long as she could and if needed would go by her alias, it was Lea she would claim to be a fallen angel, one who had been cast from heaven for a crime she hadn't commited, as she walked and listened to the man's voice, he would be the fool to free her. As he spoke his desire. Her icy blue lips curled into a gentle smile and she nodded her head as she focused. She would walk close to the man and suddenly he would feel a warmth within him, as she focused she was chanting something her voice so fast it became a high-pitched blur. He would feel something he would feel light and faster. She had invoked Floataga and Hastaga. She was after all the angel of death, take the appearance of the angel, while she didn't invoke the float spell upon herself due to her wings and the pain she knew it would cause, but the speed boost seemed well needed. As she smiled softly and stroked his face, Her hands were cool but a pulse of warmth seemed to show that she was alive. As she did she looked at him and offered a smile for moment she seemed happy and she had her reasons. She would be free if the other was as naive and gentle as she hoped. Slowly her voice filled the air it held an emotion of happiness giving it a bell like sound.
"I can take you there, the journey will be long and treacherous, and I tell you this be careful what you ask for... and my cost isn't much just that you undo my chains, I can't undo them due to the curse that was inflicted on me, I was cast from the heavens for something I didn't do... they said I was evil and corrupt but I only did what was needed to perserve the life of the angels... Many were accused as well. We were taken away from our gifts... for me my wings were chained.... for my friends, some were muted, some were blinded but enough about poor little Lea, please follow me."
Her voice was convicing and held a serpantine quality, that made her sound so real, as she smiled towards the end of her speech and began to walk. As she moved just gently pushing off the ground and she would begin to walk towards a cavern, it lead was shorter but more dangerous, she needed this man to be desperate to free her. It would be quicker to get to the forest. As she just gently walked into the cavern her sword she pulled out took the form of a dagger, it had a skull on the hilt which had a ruby within it's eyes socket, it would emit a cold icy blue glow which began to flicker the cavern, it had been a long time she had walked this path as she stood there trying to remember the path, something roared violently. A creature it was large and strong, it would drop down suddenly slamming Lea to the side, her body hitting the wall with a loud thud, her voice had pierced the air her voice filled the night with the scream of terror. As she lay against the wall a thin trickle of blood flowed down the one side of her head, she had not planned for this her dagger's glow grew signifying her positon as the beast came closer, it was what some would call an abomination it looked human but it wasn't. It was a walking golem it appeared a homoculis it seemed.
This one was not one of the deadly sins but it's name meant Fear, it was a creature with wild black hair and fangs that were easily as long as daggers, it's claws were long and blade like as it moved it was like an assasin.
To defeat Fear, 2000 words are required, I will be rping Fear against you, so expect some interesting tricks, exp will be rewarded upon defeat and extra upon creative posts. Note the first post try not to kill Fear as it would limit the fun.
Validor cringed in the inside at the sight of the curling of her cold blue lips into a seemingly gentle and friendly smile. He did not show his secret distrust only allowing her to enjoy her moment of seeming victory. He then felt a great surge of warmth, as began to chant in an undecipherable chant at an imppossible speed. Voix de la Terra felt light along with his whole entire body. She had cast Hastega and Floatega. Not only extremely useful...but powerful as well. He feared if he double crossed he what other strong magics she could use.....certainly it would be trouble if he made her angry.
She then sat next to him and put her cold hand upon his face and ran it down across the stubble on his face. He cringed again but kept it hidden once again. Her voice sounded elated as she told him the long journey it would be. The sword on his said nothing though it did give aa weird feeling as she revealed glimmers of her 'history'. He did not trust her either. If her superiors had found somthing she had done so bad as to punish her this harshly, she must've been capable of great evil. Though she began her request, Validor said nothing. She got up asking him to follow her. He kept silent not fully accepting her cost. Chances were she was probably so sure that he had fallen into her trap that she never noticed he hadn't agreed to her cost.
She swiftly moved towards the direction of a nearby cavern, in which Validor swiftly followed. She started to move more slowly then and almost thoughtfully pulled out magnificent glowing dagger which shone like blue diamonds. He stayed several feet away and within minutes she released a scream of terror that would strike fear into the hearts...of all men. The young girl, Lea, as she called herself, hit the side wall of the cave with a sickening thud. The beast fell from nowhere showing its ugly head from the dark corners of the shadows. It roared at him showing teeth as long as daggers and as sharp as them as well.
Validor hastily pulled out Voix de la Terra, and just in time as the monster striked with lightning lithe speed, its scythe like claws showering sparks along the bright blade.
Beware Validor....this monster is Fear.....its greatest weapon...is your greatest fears....be steadfast and don't let it overwhelm you little one....
Validor finally broke the clash of blade and claw with a swift horizontal slash at it. It hissed at him, with its teeth gleaming as it swiftly tried a headlong tackle with claws outstretched. Validor attempted to leap over its tackle to dogde it however, the monster was quite clever. It stopped and grabbed his leg, and flung him at a wall of the cave. Validor was caught off guard but quickly reacted by doing a flip in in air, and using his feet to propel him off the wall, zoomed back towards the beast, sword pointed straight at its torso. The monster speedily sidestepped, but the hastega and floatega effect had made Validor even quicker, so he grazed Fear's side as he zoomed past.
The monster roared a most frightening roar, showing its gleaming shining razor-like teeth. Validor readied Voix de la Terra for its next strike.
Thus began the dance of combat that Fear was so addicted to, for some reason Fear had always been some what of a sadist, seeing others in pain brought him a joy that was like ectasy. It could be that he was raised to fear those around him the man that he called his master, the sins, the emotions and even the clarities seemed to bow down before him and accept him as a master. As he remembered that wicked of the whip they brandished. They would bring it down upon them with so force bruises would be there for weeks upon end even with their heightened healing factor. As he remembered their sickening smile the way they spoke as if everyday could be their last. They knew if they ever betrayed them that it truly would be their last breath. They would get no farther then three steps before death would of claimed them, it was strange Fear, himself feared death. He didn't wish to die, he had learned what death was like as he had slayed countless people who had embarked on this journey if the other looked around, some of the bones had become fused to the wall. It meant that Fear was old possibly over two hundred years old easily. This was just one of the posts that Fear guarded. Those who couldn't abandon fear were doomed to fail to him. While he seemed lost in thought as he absent minded attacked the other.
While he was lost in thought he felt it, the cold claws of death that had become the other's blade attempting to carve and maine his flesh, while small groves appeared on his skin much like a paper cut as slowly the skin peeled open causing a trickle of blood when he moved. Yet he didn't scream or even show the emotion of pain, it had long since been lost upon this person one who was claimed to be damned. As he just stared blankly ahead, a flash back occurred within Fear's mind. It showed within his mind a child who had been laying within a bed one night when the sounds of screaming filled it. While he focused a thin mist escaped from Fear's one side it would cast an illusion, no the truth of reality. It would show the other what Fear was thinking of. He would see a frantic mother running in from the hall, the sound of a dull thud as her husband hit the ground. The slow footsteps which were coming closer. A small child wielding an axe stepped through the door. A shadowy figure by his side. The one who controlled them all thought Fear. As their body remained eclipsed by the shadow. He spoke so softly it felt like death was clawing at them. His mother put herself between them and her child just to be cleaved down. The young fear's eyes widened as he was showered with blood. Tears filled his eyes, he just remembered screaming and everything going black.
He awoke within a massive run down lab. He had machines attached to him, he felt light as if he were dying from blood loss. While he felt something being injected into him it was a gas of a sort. It was fusing with his very blood he could feel all the pain. Yet his muscles were so lax he couldn't even move. He just blinked for endless hour he prayed to die. But death never came and the illusions that were created from his blood filled his mind. He just watched in horror as everything that caused fear began to flow through his mind. His heart had stopped many times but it was always restarted by the other chemical. It was to keep alive to keep him suffering. He remembered seeing other children much like himself, they were all young as was Fear. Even know he looked no older then a twelve year old who had been scarred by many vicious battles. As he was set free. He cried, he refused to eat or drink for days at a clip. When he felt like dying his heart just kept going. They wouldn't let him die after all weapons could always be repaired. Those were some of the guards exact words. That shadowy figure returned and force fed and cared for Fear. While Fear had feared that man it began to fade as did the other fears of many things except death. They had broken him, he became a mindless puppet for years while they slowly reformed his mind into a killing machine.
As reality came back. He rose his hand suddenly the gravity of the room began to increase while an orb formed in his hand he would break the other. He would snap their will like they had done to Fear.
Validor grimaced as the vile creature then summoned up an orb as gravity increased in the area. The monster had some control of gravity? This puzzled Validor, however not for long. He felt his arms and legs weighed down and Voix de la Terra was feeling extremely heavy now too. Gravity, Validor thought was a rather evil magic. However this woud not stop him. Validor using all his strength in his legs and arms started moving. And quicker than anyone or Fear could expect, he was running, and jumping.
Sure it cost Validor alot of energy, however Validor simply had the resolve not be killed, and to kill. As long as he had this resolve, he would not let the extra weight bother him too much. Validor moved quick but not as quick as before, his limbs felt heavy, but he kept going. He leapt against a wall and then propelled himself at the monster again. but this time gravity's hold had him speeding down to the earth faster then he would have. he used this to his advantage.
Instead of slashing Fear he stuck his leg out to trip the monster instead. Validor hit the ground particularly hard but still slid, lessening the impact of the hit. Then as the orb dropped Validor used al his strength of his left arm to slash down on it shattering it into pieces.
The gravity weakened and went back to its original state, and validor felt relieved. he quickly rolled out of the way of Fear's arm which went to slash at him for being to near and attacking once again. Validor rolled to his feat and once again got into a defensive stance as he blocked another one of Fear's slashes that screeched against the very blade of Voix de la Terra. Once again Validor swung making Fear jump back and continue its attack. It swiftly went back on the offensive with a barrage of extremely rapid swipes and slashes with its claws, each meeting and hitting the blade causing sparks and flashes across the cave walls. It was a deadly dance or sparks and Fear. Validor though swift he was, after his last move to stop the gravity was more tired than last time. While Validor was able to block most of the slashes he gained some slashes and scrathes across his body. The began to sting as blood slowly poured out. they were not deep or fatal enough to cause much damage or blood loss so he did not worry. Finally Fear went in for one large brutal attack. However Validor wouldn't go down that easily.
"AERO!"
A sharp blast of winds knocked Fear back several feet, and likely caused him some damage. While he was recovering Validor swiftly went in for a counter attack, jumping up in mid-air and bringing his sword down upon its ugly head. It quickly blocked it with its claws but Validor kept on the offensive this time. He slashed horizontally immediately causing another slash on its torso, this time deeper than the one previous. Fear cried out and then tried to pound Validor, who rolled out of te way and slashed horizontally down on its shoulder causing another deep wound.
Blood spattered everywhere from its injuries, some even flecked onto Validor's face. he looked into its eyes seeing its pain, and maybe a small glint of fear itself. Validor grimaced slightly as Fear went in for another quick slash to Validor's side. It hit and it caused a largish slash across his side. validor and Fear both jumped back from each other and then faced each other once again, circling again to the beat of some hidden temporal song of their little dance of battle.
(Word count:629) (Thread count:1981) (Words untill Fear's defeat:799) (Please forgive me if this post is wrongish, with the appearance of the orb, I only assumed it was linked to the gravity attack)
Fear, had rather begun to enjoy this battle, as once he had released the gravity spell upon the area, the other seemed to have become rather desperate, he was moving but not at full speed but quite quick despite being under the effect of gravity. As he giggled slightly maniacally, the voice sounded crazed and like he was capable of slaughtering entire villages within moments, which was true Fear had a reputation, hence his name, he didn't have many fears but he realized that in the last few moments of your life you show your true colors and many people cry and beg for their life, Fear had only let a few people live because they had the balls to stand up against him. As the other managed to work his way to a wall, it was rather interesting as Fear braced him self for a quick slice, he would end this he thought as the other pushed off the very cave seemed to shake slightly as he was was knocked to the ground. HE saw the dark orb and the other take a mightly cleave at it. Long white cracks would appear on it before it shattered sending small fragments of the dark magic into the ground before they seemed to fade away in ribbons of smoke and the soft scent of death lingered in the air. As he pushed off the ground with a sudden burst of energy. He liked this man he was fun to fight he was fighting for that child over there to.
As the other lay on the ground, his arms swung downwards leaving deep groves cut into the earth with the force many would of said belonged to a behemoth. As his blades struck the other's it made a high pitched scream echo through the darkness. As he smiled and leaned forward pressing his face closer to the other's and would giggle maniacally before he pushed off sending himself backwards away from the other. As they moved backwards like a pair of dancers, it made him giggle as his claws were gaining a tint of crimson from having fought so vigorously. As this went on the gentle look in his eyes were gone. He showed true excitement and suddenly he felt himself being in pain. He felt weightless as he was pushed away by the sudden surge of wind and felt himself spiraling against the ground causing loud cracks to echo, his bones should of snapped. But they were healing already getting rid of the small chips and breaks in the bone. As slowly he rose upwards sickening pops of joints and bones as he smiled his claws were growing longer as he willed them, they were like liquid metal it seemed as he just looked up again he smiled.
