Soft waves lapped in a constant tempo against the grand, wooden boat. Dark brown eyes intently watched the sea ahead of them through small slits of a rather large helm. The waters were calm and deep blue, a visible indicator of its vast and unfathomable depth and the sun gently glistened off its glass surface. A gentle and refreshing breeze rolled by, carrying with it a scent which smelled like a mixture of salt water and sweat as men toiled all around him, keeping the ship on a steady course. Its course, you may ask, was the port on the continent of Balamb, more specifically the port of Balamb Village. The ship was an ordinary merchant ship; however, it carried something unexpected and dangerous.
The bright, blazing sun shone down with majestic beauty; however, its golden beams hit a rather shadowy form and radiated off a large, monstrous metallic man in terrifying and intricate sky blue armor. The dark brown eyes that belonged to this fearsome entity glinted with a typical display malice and hate. Nevertheless, for the moment, this atrocity appeared quite tranquil and did not have any intent on killing anyone… yet. His main concern, for the time being, was getting to the land of Balamb without any intervention or delay. Killing and slaughtering would certainly halt his progress and he was focused on getting through and completing his mission without any problems. The mission that brought him to a place such as Balamb would greatly affect his overall goal of global destruction and apocalypse.
Several men shouted and tossed lines and ropes back and forth. There was commotion all around him, as they got closer to port. Many of the men tried their best to avoid contact with the giant, fearing him and his unusual presence. Despite the fear they had of him, they continued their cacophony as they moved equipment all around the deck and rough voices filled the air, shouting, constantly shouting. Regardless, Exdeath managed to retreat inside his mind as he moved deeper into thought.
His current mission pertained to the information he read on a scroll he discovered in the library housed in the graveyard of a city, Doma. The details of the scroll referenced several interesting creatures that could help Exdeath in the end; these creatures were known as summons. Already, Exdeath obtained one summons, a powerful, three-headed dog called Cerberus. Now that he possessed one, he wanted more and more, and would not stop at nothing until he attained all dark beasts bent to serve his sinister will. That is what led him to Balamb because on this document, it vaguely indicated Balamb as a location to acquire the summon known as Bomb. The name alone was an alluring factor for Exdeath because the name suggested this summon had some devastating power related to an explosive, which could prove useful in more effortlessly demolishing and annihilating a great number of people in one fell swoop.
A great lurch returned Exdeath to reality and once he refocused, he saw they had arrived. Exdeath was not a fan of the sea; nevertheless, it was easier because if he paid the right amount and added a little intimidation factor into the mix – which he was good at – he would be permitted easy travel without interruption or further inquiring. If he had taken the underwater train that connected Galbadia to Balamb, he may have been probed a bit deeper into his reasons for crossing into the Balamb border. This would have easily caused Exdeath to admit to the fact that he wanted to kill everyone and destroy the world, because he enjoyed what he did and what not afraid to lie or would not lie for that matter. His answer may have proved detrimental to his mission because he could have possibly been detained – though he would have put up a fight to the end, which would have led to the death of everyone that tried to stop him.
Stepping off the platform created between the ship and the harbor, Exdeath took his first steps into the land of Balamb. Of course his colossal size and frightful armor drew the attention of many civilians, albeit he was not here to kill people today, at least, not too many. He made his way through the crowded streets, uncaring if people were in his way because if they were and were too unfortunate to move, they would receive a massive push, as he did not stop to let them pass on their own accord. He had little patience for people and any little annoyance may invoke his wraith.
He had no idea where he was going or what he was looking for exactly. The scroll was indistinct and useless in informing him on a specific location of the summon. He was basically meandering aimlessly around looking for something that might catch his attention or someone who seemed knowledgeable. This lack of instruction did set him back; although, he was willing to do whatever it took to attain another source of power and nothing would get in his way. He would fight to the bitter end, and naturally, win.

The citizens of Balamb huddled together as you departed from the boat, no screams as of yet but a lot of hushed voices and gasps. You couldn't deny that your size and appearance would attract attention in more ways than one, in this case it wasn't such a good thing as you only had a basic outline of where your next summon lay hidden. Who would help you? You could maybe force someone to help you out of fear but would they comply? A lot of questions faced you and not many answers, this may take more time than you originally thought. Out of the corner of your eye though your attention was drawn to a woman dressed in a long black slender dress, black knee high boots, long straight black hair. Everything about her was dark except her eyes, piercing purple eyes that stared into whatever soul you had. As you passed her she gave out a small almost cackle of sorts.
"Your presence hasn't gone without notice my dear Exdeath."
She knew your name? That was enough to really catch your attention. The young woman pushed herself off the wall of the building she was leaning against and began to slowly walk over towards you, still people stared at you but they seemed not to notice the woman in black.
"How rude of me where are my manners. I am Biana leader of a group of thirteen women known as the Coven...well most call us witches but that is just a typical reaction of a mortal."
Fear was an amusing emotion and it seemed to fill many of the citizens as he walked amongst them. Fear was a key to locking the mind of a victim. Once you instilled fear into them, they became hopeless, shriveling creatures that would reveal anything to save their own skin. However, Exdeath never usually let prey escape with their life, they were just so fun to kill, why waste the few moments of entertainment?
As he progressed through the streets, many people shrunk at his sight and got out of his way. Though they are pathetic, they still possess some intelligence, Exdeath thought humorously. He proceeded without delay through the streets that seemed less crowded now that people escaped his path. A strange occurrence happened then that had him taken aback slightly. Time seemed to slow, figuratively, and the streets became barren as he caught a glimpse of a woman dressed in all black and dark clothing. Her hair, black as well, flowed down her back like a cascading waterfall. Nevertheless, what ensnared his attention about all her features were her mesmerizing, purple eyes. They appeared to single him out and search through his mind and soul. A rather unusual feeling washed over him. It was a strange, tingling sensation. He did not know how to react to this woman because he was the one typically doing the unnerving, yet this woman seemed to unnerve even his malicious soul. He could sense she was unpredictable and his view of her only increased as she explained what she was: a witch.
Not just any witch, but in fact the leader of a coven. First, she unsettled him by the sheer knowledge that she knew his name. Then she moved on to say she was a witch, which helped Exdeath cope with the fact that she knew his name. Abruptly pushing through the crowd of people, he made his way over to her and she made her way over to him. Her previous cackle was somewhat disconcerting, yet he swiftly composed himself.
In a deep voice that caused several people around him to shake with fear, he spoke as quietly as possible to the woman that no one seemed to notice. ”The Coven, you say? Forgive my seeming ignorance, but how is it you know of me? If you know my name, what else have you divined? Surely, you must know why I am in such a dismal place. What is it you want from me in exchange for knowledge?” Exdeath was quick to get down to the point. He did not know what this Coven wanted from him, but something about this woman told him that she could assist him in finding more out about the summon. Therefore, he went along with her for the time being.

Biana giggled as you spoke while she gently lifted her hand up towards your chest, she let her long black fingernails trail down your blue armour. For a moment it seemed like a small charge of electricity passed from her fingers to your armour, not a big enough charge for anyone else but you to notice. Backing away slowly Biana crossed her arms over her chest.
"Dismal place you say....I find Balamb quite relaxing at times when those pathetic SeeDs aren't getting in my way. I can sense the power that dwells within you, your exterior shows power and causes fear within these mortals. That is something I could use with the Coven.....hahaha I ramble. We shall discuss...payment after you retrieve the summon. Yes I know what you are here for.......the ears I have to the ground are very good indeed."
Turning her back to you she suddenly outstretched her arm and pointed towards what seemed to be the exit to Balamb. Time seemed to slow down as she spoke to you, as though her powers were enough to halt time and space. Slowly turning her head to you she looked directly into your eyes.
"The scroll is vague indeed but one of the Coven shall meet you at the halfway point to the summon. Leave Balamb by the front gates and simply follow the path, halfway along this path she will meet you."
[Follow Biana's instructions, rewards will be given for detail and accuracy.]
Power radiated off the woman and it became physically apparent as she barely traced a line on his armor, yet administered a minor shock to him. It did not cause him any pain or discomfort, it was just bizarre to see someone with so much power and not mercilessly killing people left and right. That is what he thought the norm was, at least. Those with power deserved to obliterate those without. That was his outlook on life: the strong survive while the weak perish. However, very few people stood in front of him and lived. As of yet, it was a demon child named Miumi that had accomplished such a feat. Next time, though, Miumi would not be able to stand his ground, Exdeath would be sure to vanquish him from the face of this world.
The woman’s smooth words whirled around inside his head. She mentioned SeeD, a group of trained men and women Exdeath had yet to encounter, but rumors told him they were the elite and were not to be underestimated. Though this only instigated Exdeath because he wanted to test out how top-notch these individuals were. It would certainly be a nice challenge, hopefully. She proceeded to digress onto the topic of employment within the Coven. She spoke lightly of it, as if not trying to deter Exdeath, before quickly changing the subject again. Nevertheless, the idea of employment lingered in his formulating mind. Service in this Coven did not sound like a bad idea; although, it would only be temporary. He would not mind doing some menial tasks that would require him to use some rough, physical methods now and then, as long as he was paid with knowledge about things he sought; such as other summons and information regarding enemies, et cetera. These ‘witches’ would truly be a useful resource.
Regardless, he focused back onto the woman as she turned her back to him. She was certainly a curvaceous and slim being, possibly attractive to an ordinary man; however, Exdeath did not approve of relationships because they only got in the way of achieving goals. Again, Exdeath watched with wonder as time seemed to cease as her arm outstretched towards the exit of Balamb. She turned her head around gradually to once more look directly through his helm into his deep brown eyes. Her voice was melodious as it referred to the scroll he found in Doma and how assistance would be found at the intermediate location between here and the position of the summon he wished to obtain, Bomb. With that said, time resumed to its regular pace and Biana’s dark form disappeared into the crowd.
Following her instruction, Exdeath brusquely changed his course towards to the front gates of Balamb. Passing several stalls filled with fish and other disgusting sea creatures, the repulsive smell of seafood plagued his nostrils. Darkly, Exdeath said to himself that he preferred the street better when time was frozen. The market-goers were loud and obnoxious, yet they hushed themselves when he walked near them. Naturally, guards were posted at the front gate of the village; however, they did not interrupt him or stop him from leaving. In fact, they probably sighed with relief as he walked out of the village because his evil aura disturbed the usual Balamb peace.
The road he walked silently was empty. Nothing but fields, forest and rocky hills surrounded him. Nothing present to keep his dark souls entertained. There was the occasional breeze that rustled the otherwise still setting around him. The landscape around him was not that captivating, rather it was placid and boring. In the distance, he could hear the rare seagull and a slow, rhythmic tempo of the vast ocean. He assumed there was a beach nearby, but other than that, no landmarks distinguished themselves apart from the rest of the scenery. The fields that spread quite a distance all around him were green and lush, and to a more sentient being, the flowers that were seen here and there may have been taken as beautiful. Nonetheless, the only beauty in Exdeath’s eyes was rotting death and destruction.
The lack of excitement was extremely disheartening. He thought he would have seen something that would catch his attention; however, it seemed this small island of Balamb was plain and uninteresting. Not even a beast to intervene in his travels or a group of bandits to try to overwhelm him and take whatever he possessed. At the very least, if he was attacked, he would at any rate been somewhat amused when he tore his assailants apart. However, nothing, nothing but him and his conscience – or lack thereof - was left to charm him.
How long had he been walking? He had no idea. He just assumed to keep going until he found someone that belonged to the Coven that Biana told him about. He hoped he would find someone soon. If it were a witch, it would be a bonus and relief; regardless, if it was just another person, he would humor his dark soul and torment the unfortunate victim until he or she was dead. Despite his savage thoughts, he desired to find a witch more than an average, unsuspecting person because he wanted to acquire his new summon sooner rather than later. Admittedly, he was not a very patient individual and was rather short-tempered and quick to resolve a problem with relentless violence. Thus this long walk was rather boring him and his tolerance level was growing thin.

A rustle from a nearby tree alerted you to another's presence, suddenly a woman dropped from the tree. Dressed in in black and red PVC with a long spear attached to her back, the woman flicked a strand of her black hair aside. Her eyes were strange like Biana's except hers were bright red with no pupils. Smirking she walked towards you her black ankle boots clicking against the pavement path, wrapping her arms around her chest she began to size you up.
"So....you're Exdeath, well Biana was right.....you're tall. Anyways down to business I suppose I should show you the way to the Fire Cavern. The summon that resides here is one which the SeeDs tend to battle against to test their strength...let us hope they do not delay us I detest their presence. Oh my name is Jada."
Just like Biana the young woman turned from you and began to walk further down the pavement path, would this be your trip to Balamb...following strange women. Well if it got you your summon and power a little following around wouldn't be such a bad thing.
The enormity’s sky blue armour creaked and groaned, it was the only sound that disturbed the otherwise silent and dismal journey. The trek through the Balamb country side thus far had been uneventful and quite tiresome. It became vividly apparent to Exdeath that he would gradually go insane before anything of consequence happened. Thankfully, he was saved from his own lunacy as there was a small rustle from a crop of trees a short distance ahead of him. The noise alerted Exdeath and now adrenaline was pumping through his veins. After what seemed like hours of nothing but him and his nonexistent conscience, Exdeath was ready to take on anything.
He could feel his mana flow effortlessly as if it replaced the blood that ran through him; pure, untainted, unadulterated, ready to conjure magic that could be manipulated with ease and little exertion on his part. Ever since his abnormal creation, he had only become stronger and stronger, and he would only do so until the day he died. Consequently, he was fully prepared to blast whatever stepped forth from the bushes with as much firepower as he could muster. He did not bother taking his sword out for two reasons. The first was his conceited nature made him believe that he could annihilate anything without strenuous physical movement. The second was if it was the promised witch, it might not look good if he waved a large, golden blade in her face.
From the treetops, a being descended in an unusual manner and Exdeath, at first, could not make out what it was. Luckily, however, the form emerged from the trees and the figure was a woman that appeared to be another witch, like Biana. Her complexion was peculiar, so unlike any average being, fortunately, this is what stopped Exdeath from attacking her as soon as she landed on the ground. She had jet-black hair with red streaks and glowing red eyes that lacked the presence of pupils. Her attire was quite interesting, which was the least he could say about it. Finally, she possessed a rather large spear attached to her back. Never before had Exdeath seen such extravagant eyes until this day. First was the piercing, purple eyes of Biana, now shining, red eyes that lack pupils. It was, without a doubt, fascinating to see this interesting diversity in dark culture.
Exdeath’s dark brown intently stared at the woman’s radiant, red eyes as they looked him up and down, inspecting him. She stood with her arms crossed in front of her chest and scrutinized him closely. Finally she spoke out in a musical voice, making a comment about his colossal height before getting down to the current affair: his summon. Agreeing to lead him to the Fire Cavern, which housed the fiery beast he wished to obtain, she quickly introduced herself before turning away and leading him off.
Exdeath did not exactly enjoy following others. It seemed submissive and subservient; two things which Exdeath felt were disgraceful and appalling. Nevertheless, he took to trailing behind the woman with as much dignity as he could gather. At least once this was all over, he would acquire his powerful summon and gain some knowledge. It was a situation he would just have to accept for the time being.
From what he ascertained, they were heading east from Balamb. He lingered closely behind the woman as she confidently walked a peculiar path. Still no animal ventured past the couple, as if in fear. No bird flew above them or graced the quiet surroundings with its chirping. What had been green forest was becoming rocky and rough. The trees changed into large boulders that acted as tracks leading to some unknown destination. The transformation of the scenery told Exdeath that they were close. Shortly after the scenery change, the path narrowed and became more distinct. Soon enough, once they ascended a hill, he could see a small entrance into a mountainous cavern.
The entrance was still a moderate distance away. The landscape had completely been modified. Instead of flourishing woodland and fields surrounding them, it was an immense terrain of boulders, gravel, and rocks. Stones were scattered in every directions. The only sign of green was the moss that grew on the quarry and the forest that peaked over the edge of the cliff face that housed the cavern entrance. The ground beneath them was beaten and trampled from years of aspiring students hoping to attest to their claimed ability and capability.
A dark smile curled the corner of his hidden lips. It was only be a matter of time until he descended into the flaming belly of the cavern to claim a power that would be his. He did not know what else waited for him in the vast depths of the Fire Cavern, but he was prepared. He was on a personal quest and he would not fail. He was sure of it. He was no ordinary individual; he was a devastating entity that would overcome all that stood in his way. His magic and sword would smite anything and everything that impeded his mission.
It appeared that his word would be put to the test as he saw a couple of forms standing outside the entrance to the cave. His mind craved for blood and death, yet he would be patient and wait for the witch’s response. The two men standing outside the entrance looked to be guarding it from people, like Exdeath, but also to stop those who are not prepared for the challenge that lay ahead of them inside the Cavern. Nonetheless, they would not stand a chance against Exdeath and he was more than equip for what lay waiting for him in the deepest depths of the cave. These men would barely pass as warm-up for Exdeath, yet he would cherish every moment of squeezing their life from them.
Drawing his shimmering, golden blade, Hopesbane, he was ready to attack; however, he decided to wait to see if the witch had any other course of action. He would have been more than happy to kill the soldiers; despite this fact, he gloomly thought it would be polite to let the woman that graciously led him here have a say. Nonetheless, his friend’s, the Court Mage, Kefka, words surfaced to the top of his head, telling him that he should not let other make decisions for him or he should not let others take his kill. Still, he quickly quelled the cackling voice and waited patiently for the red-eyed witch. A quiet hum rang in his ears as if his sword was singing and voicing its need for blood. He ignored it, however, and stood towering over the red-eyed witch, awaiting her response to the circumstance.

"Ha...it seems they stand guard each day waiting for the potential SeeD recruits...this could be troublesome and annoying for me."
The young coven member crossed her arms over her chest and stamped her feet a little. It was obvious she could be a little brat but there had to be something powerful about her or she wouldn't be in the Coven. Then again you didn't know that much about them so you could only assume. Gritting her teeth Jada looked up to and tapped on your blue armour with her long red nails.
"I'm pretty certain they won't stand there twenty four hours a day....perhaps we should come back at nightfall when we won't be disturbed."
Clapping her hands pleased with her little decision Jada pushed a few strand of her black and red hair from her eyes, the young girl took one last look at the fire cavern and then back to you.
"I would say walk about discreetly but that isn't exactly going to work for you...well whatever just be back here at nightfall. Do what you want..."
[Go wild show me your rping creativity, end your post being back at the entrance to the fire cavern.Kill people if you want XD]
His dark brown eyes regarded the woman that seemed much more like a child in her response to the situation. Irritation was clear in all her mannerisms and stance. Exdeath did not know how to take this reaction. Did it prove that the Coven was just a club of spoiled and dark girls? Or was that a sweeping generalization? Whatever the answer, this woman was not appealing to Exdeath’s standards. Nonetheless, he should be slightly grateful because if not for the witches, he would still be meandering around the horrid streets of Balamb.
Finally, it appeared Jada had made a decision after several moments of silence. Her plan was to return to the cavern at night and, hopefully, the guards would not be around to plague them or delay them any further. She looked happily pleased with her plan. He was not, however. Nevertheless, she had given him some leeway and said he could do what he wished until nightfall when they would return. Unfortunately, he was not that patient.
He began to walk down the middle of the road to the cavern entrance. Bloodlust in his eyes and his sword remained withdrawn and at his side, ready. His presence was obvious, even at a distance. His size was not easily disguisable. He could see the two guards shift in their position, preparing themselves for what may be ahead. They already knew he was not here on honourable terms. His very posture and aura screamed out, “Murderer!” Exdeath was not able to stifle a sinister chuckle as he thought, No matter how much these men prepare, they are the walking dead soon to join the average dead.
His large strides cut the distance between him and the entrance pretty quickly. One of the guards was about to order to stop, but Exdeath cut him off with a swift raise of the hand. From his hand, shot a speedy lightning bolt that hit the man directly in the chest, sending him flying both backwards and causing him to convulse. The second man was momentarily stunned by Exdeath’s display of force, leaving himself an easy target.
In a matter of milliseconds, Exdeath’s sword absorbed a decent amount of sunlight and he unleashed its shine on the man. The man screamed out in pain as he eyes burned and he was blinded. In a contemptuous tone, Exdeath said, ”Here, let me ease your pain!” With that said, he swung his mighty blade down upon the man’s chest, cleaving it open. Unlucky for him, he was still alive.
A small smirk curled on the cruel corners of Exdeath’s mouth. He cleaned his sword on the dying man before sheathing it. Raising both hands, his mana shot through the air around him. Now that he had control of the area that encompassed the bleeding soldier, he used his devastating spell, Graviga.
(From the guard’s perspective.)
In an instant, the world became heavier. The air seemed thick and he had trouble breathing. He lay on the ground, unable to move in the slightest bit. His already heavy armour only got heavier as he could feel it begin to crush his bones. He tried to grunt out in pain as several ribs broke from the pressure, but he could not even gasp. His vision began to blur and darken. The world seemed to close in around him and then it happened... A large force impacted his torso and sunk him deep into the ground. During the process, he had folded in half and his back broke. Luckily, he was dead before this happened. Once he was dead the world reverted to its normal gravity.
A deep and truly evil chuckle escaped his lips as he stared down into the relatively large hole the one soldier now lay in. His victory was cut short, however, as he heard the most silent sound come from behind him. He quickly turned his head to see the first guard he launched a Thunder spell at was still alive, though just barely.
He gradually walked over to the man, his boots shook the ground beneath them. He stood over top the man, staring down at him through the dark slits in his helm. The man quivered and squirmed, but he was not strong enough to get away, though his body’s natural preservation mode had kick in and was trying furiously to get him out of this situation. It failed, regardless, as Exdeath reached down to lift the man up by his throat. The man choked and gasped for air, yet he was not graced with any. His held were wide with fear and an impending sense of death.
In a taunting tone, Exdeath said to the fading man, I am afraid your services are no longer needed. You may die now.” His free hand shot up and with it a large spear of ice materialized and pierced right through the man’s chest. Blizzara, what a wonderful spell.
Exdeath watched with a sick sense of glee and triumph as he watched the man’s life leave his eyes. A small chuckled resounded from his armour as he dropped the man to the ground, like an unwanted doll. He turned his head to the distance and called out to the witch, if she was there or not, ”No need to worry about any pathetic guards. I do not believe they have a shift change for some time.” And when they do, I will be long gone with my rightful summon, leaving behind two corpses in my wake.

"I see you have been enjoying yourself my dear Exdeath which is a not a bad thing, you are just like my good friends Greed and Lust. Oh how they enjoy their work....then again the other five do as well hahaha. Anyways I just stopped by to see how things were progressing...you are almost there Exdeath do not let those SeeDs get in your way. They are...pesky and troublesome to say the least, I am sure Jada will be by your side should they turn up."
Ah Biana once more had shown up out of nowhere as she seems to do, still at least she wasn't aligned to the light now that would be something untolerable. Smirking to you and then waving she vanished into a ball of black smoke. Just like a witch hence the name of the group...the Coven.
"Yo Exdeath get your ass over here and let's get into that cave, do you want this summon or not?"
So the other member pipes up with her well frankly chirpy attitude, it was probably her age. As before what could she possibly offer the Coven what powers could she possess that would be useful to Biana and her plans. You both walked side by side to the entrance to the cave, the guards gone and night falling quickly over Balamb. Jada took the lead peering into the darkness of the cave.
"Yikes pretty dark and hot in here wouldn't ya say big boy."
Shortly after his vicious growling tone dissipated from the otherwise tranquil air, another voice saturated it and filled the empty space. This one was a definite contrast to Exdeath’s as it was much more musical and melodious, as well as familiar. Turning his giant helmed head around, he came to face the leader of witch-filled group, the Coven, once again, Biana, and once again, her vivid purple eyes bore right into his own menacing brown eyes. She spoke of his performance just mere moments ago and how he appeared to enjoy himself. In truth, he certainly did. It was almost like ecstasy when he killed. The feeling of another’s life diminishing in his hands, and ultimately, being extinguished, was purely delightful and satisfying to Exdeath. He relished and lived day to day for the sole purpose of killing and global destruction. It was what he was created to do. What else would one with such a devastatingly evil nature as his do?
Before disappearing just as quick as she had appeared, she mentioned Jada’s aid if it came down to it; however, Exdeath highly doubted her participation in the future. She had clearly shown in her recent display that she preferred to passively wait until something was done, either the guards changing shifts or Exdeath killing them. If she possessed any significant power (which she should, if Biana accepted her into the Coven), then she could have handle the guards without any delay or second thought.
Exdeath continued fuming internally until Biana materialized into a ball of black smoke before finally departing. Exdeath had to admit, Biana seemed to emanate from every fibre of her being. This was the only reason Exdeath had followed her in the first place, because she seemed like she knew what she was talking about and had the power to back her up.
His thoughts were interrupted by the high-pitched, aggravating voice of the witch who had now returned. He turned to look at Jada who looked too young to control any true power. She had yet to prove herself; thus, when she did, he may be amazed. Nonetheless, for now, he would keep judging her by her appearance and immature attitude.
She began to walk into the bowels of the cave and Exdeath was at her side, following her. Night had fallen outside, only increasing the darkness that consumed the cave. Additionally, the temperature began to rise inside the fiery, mountainous cavern. Luckily, it did not affect Exdeath, thanks to his armor that now possessed the ability to protect him from any environmental factors. Too bad he did not have it while on the continent of Cetra, though, he could have really used it against the pestilent cold weather.
Walking down a beaten path, Exdeath answered, ”It does not bother me.” His response was short and cold. Though his usual tone was just as icy, he wanted to be rid of the witch at his side as soon as possible. Or at least have her exhibit some power so that his agitated mind may be put to rest because for the time being, he deemed her useless, except for the fact that she knew where to go – the only reason he put up with her for the moment. Inquiring in a somewhat impatient tone, Exdeath asked, ”How much longer until we arrive?” His dark brown eyes pierced the darkness ahead of them, waiting for a reply. The sooner he received his summon, the sooner he could test it out.

"Ummm it shouldn't be that much farther but I heard from the SeeDs that have attempted this cave that there are some pretty nasty bats and small bombs in here."
Jada bit her bottom lip after she had replied to you almost in a nervous fashion, her hands stayed in front of her body slowly clapping them together every 30 seconds or so. Perhaps she was bored of this already or maybe she was just nervous about this type of mission, typical the Coven sending a little girl to assist you on obtaining a summon. Your thoughts were your own until Jada shouted and pushed you a little to the right."
"Exdeath move!"
Zooming past your head was a rather large purple bat, Jada swiftly grabbed one of her spiral bladed edged weapons from her hips and flung it with ease and precision at the bat. The circular weapon cut through the bat like a knife in butter before it circled around the area to find its way back to Jada's hand. Impressive for a young girl to wield such a deadly weapon, maybe that was what the Coven saw in her. Now was not the time to ponder such things as more bats and even now smaller firey bombs were alerted to your presence.
Incompetence. That was basically the first word that came to mind when he thought of this young woman. Her body language alone was enough to get Exdeath’s blood boiling. She appeared to be having a nervous fit of some sort as her hands gradually would clap together. Another thing was that he observed her bite her lip – another nervous habit – and her tone was uncertain and wavering. It seemed like she was not very confident in her response to the length of time left until they arrived. The anxiety in her voice sounded like it increased as she spoke of the small beasts that may roam about. What was she fretting about exactly? Small creatures that could be easily handle? Incompetent was the only thought he could possibly muster at this time to describe her. Luckily she was resourceful – for the time being – or he would have cut her down.
His thoughts still fumed away until they were disrupted by a small push to the right as Jada moved him out of the way of a large purple bat that had swooped down to attack him. He cursed silently at his own non-alert state, but he sourly commemorated the young witch for reacting so quickly. He watched her withdraw a spiral bladed weapon and launched it at the bat, smoothly cleaving it in two. Interestingly, the weapon curved back around to return to its owner’s hand. In a grumpy attitude, Exdeath admitted to himself that the girl had some talent.
He did not have time to make anymore comments or ponder the girl’s skill further because closing in on him, what seemed like an army of small looking bombs and large purple bats began to appear. Where they all suddenly came from? Exdeath did not know. Why had he not sensed them earlier? He did not know; however, it was not a time to think. It was finally time for some action.
The girl called out in an enthused sounding tone, and Exdeath replied back with a dark chuckle and said, Naturally. His answer was short, yet it was filled with blood lust and violent wishes. Though these simple creatures would not deem themselves as much of a challenge to Exdeath, he would enjoy the entertainment.
Delight coursed through Exdeath’s veins. It felt like ever since his tundra battle with the corrupt snowman, Frosty, he had gained a slightly higher affinity for the attribute, ice. He felt himself get stronger and faster, and now was a perfect time to unleash a devastating Blizzard. He held both hands up, high in the air. A chill ran down his spine, though it was not unpleasant, instead, it was invigorating. It felt like ecstasy ran through his veins as he began to conjure up a small blizzard. However, soon that Blizzard grew larger and larger until it became more, eventually a fully destructive Blizzaga.
Cold wind accompanied the spell, which was strange in such a hot and dry place. Nonetheless, he spell was simply detrimental to the bomb and bat numbers alike, each being ravaged by his fearsome power over the elements. Once his storm finally dissipated, he moved on to a more physical approach to diminish the enemy numbers. He did not remove his blade from the scabbard just yet, alternatively, he used his bare hands. The bats that attacked him may have been seen as large by people of average height, but to Exdeath, they were rather small compared to his height and bulk. Unluckily for a bat that had ventured to close, Exdeath caught it with his giant, gauntleted hands. With ease, he rips the screeching bat apart. Bones and sinew snapped and blood spurted on his sky blue armor, giving it a slight red-ish shade.
Though that whole hands-on experience was enjoyable, he decided it was time to pull out his blade; which he consequently did. The golden metal shimmered in the mystical lava glow. It was quite a wonder to behold, yet his blade was not made for its beauty, it was made to kill and maim. He swung his blade with a sturdy and well-muscled arm that made such damaging attacks easier than normal. He was well trained in all forms of combat, magic and physical. He was a Jack-of-all-trades; an efficient and cold killer with a perfect physique to lay waste to all the lands and ultimately destroy the world and all existence.
His sword was swift and sharp enough to cut through the bats with ease, as well as stab into the smaller bombs, demolishing them, too. Occasionally, he would fire a bolt of Thunder at various enemies too far away to reach. Besides that, he – with pleasure – dispatched a majority of the small creatures (minus the ones Jada had dealt with).
Once the whole ordeal was done, he was covered in fresh, but drying blood that left a delectable, metallic odour. A smirk grew on his lips. He did not even break into a sweat during that altercation. Child’s play. He turned his attention back to the witch to see where she now stood. He had to acknowledge the fact that she did manage to reveal her worth, in this situation; though this battle was only a simple and unchallenging one, the girl proved to have some talent, nonetheless. Exdeath supposed he could let her live, for a while longer, at least.
His deep voice rang out and partially echoed throughout the vast belly of the cave. ”Shall we move on?” He turned in the direction they were walking before and proceeded that way. With every step, he was closer to attaining another great power that would certainly be a benefit to him. He did not yet know the full potential of the summon he was trying to acquire; however, he would be sure to test it out on some unsuspecting village.

"Err....I don't think we need to."
Jada tapped you on the shoulder forcing you to turn around, your eyes were greeted with the sight of a large bomb the summon you had been waiting for. Jada seemed slightly startled and moved back to your side and almost behind you, the bomb hovered in the air its giant eyes staring at you while its tiny flame arms hung by it side. You heard Jada gulp quite loudly but that did not deter you from your prize.
"I think this is your fight Exdeath not mine....I was told just to direct you here...."
Insignificant being...what do you hope to accomplish here? How dare you tread on my land, do you honestly think you have what it takes to defeat me?
Was that the bomb talking into your mind? It couldn't be Jada as it was a male voice for a start but...it was so much more menacing than anything you had heard before.
He would not have paid any attention to her had her voice not sounded unstable and insecure. This caused Exdeath to turn his helmed head around to look at her, from there, he followed her frightened gaze to another direction where his dark brown eyes fell upon his desire. Bomb. A victorious grin played itself across his face. Finally, it had arrived and he needed to wander no more in the presence of a stumbling, young girl. He ignored the fumbling witch behind him as she made her escape, making some feeble excuse about only meaning to guide him. No matter, he did not need her. He could take on this creature on his own; he was stronger than the SeeD that traversed here to take up their first mission.
Suddenly, a voice was present inside his twisted mind. It was a deep male voice. It was sinister and wicked as it spoke to him, attempting to demoralize him with vicious words. Exdeath was good at that game, as well, and he threw his own ferocious personality and words into the mix.
Contrasting the Bomb, Exdeath spoke aloud. His ancient voice echoing through the sizzling cavern.
”Do not patronize me. You are a thing to be used for destruction, not diplomacy. Do not dare think you can deter me with your aggressive words. I will not be swayed for I will obtain you and with you, I will reap massive devastation on those who stand before me. As for the power I possess and if I can truly overcome you, the answer undoubtedly is, yes.”
His brown eyes glared burningly through his fearsome, sky-blue helmet. His malignant eyes had the ability to scorch a being, even in this sultry and lava-filled atmosphere. Exdeath was not commanded by anything. He was in charge of his own accords and would not suffer the pathetic demands of others, even the summon because it was something that was conquerable and controllable. Additionally, he was fierce and hard to frighten, giving him even more of an advantage compared to any weak SeeD recruit that came along.
Once again, he spoke and shook the foundations of the cave with his booming and powerful voice. ”Now, let’s get this over with. I have places to destroy and people to kill.” His voice was malevolent as he withdrew his golden blade, Hopesbane, with practised ease. He was hoping to make a quick job of this summon, so he could be on his way. He had villages to test its ruinous power on.

Jada seemed to almost crumble with your words a satisfaction you would think Biana would indulge in. The Bomb though continued to stare at you still bobbing up and down in the air, the heat emitting from it hit off your blue armour. The air around you all was thick with red hot rage and heat, Jada's eyes which were bright red began to somehow glow. Perhaps the Bomb's presence was the cause for this or maybe just the flames and heat from this cave, never the less her eyes flickered and glowed a bright red. The young Coven member backed off slightly her hand still wrapped tightly around her circular weapon.
"Exdeath this is your fight...I am here for support...bring this son of a bitch down."
Even Jada's voice now sounded different her voice seemed to have an echo around it now, whatever was happening to her Jada appeared not to welcome this. The Bomb though was still totally focused on you, lifting its small arms into the air the ground around you began to crack. Steam and flames shot up at your sides you could now start to feel the heat as though it were melting your armour.
"Poor insignificant being....you shall die here as well as your friend."
[Fight the Bomb, if you want more admin posts as the bomb feel free to ask otherwise use this as your chance to control the bomb summon. Make the battle seem believable and the summon shall be yours.]
The already sultry atmosphere of the Fiery Cavern flared with the Bomb’s anger and irritation with Exdeath. From the scorching ground burst streams of steam and lava that came threateningly close to Exdeath’s sky blue armour that shimmered in glow of the heat. None the less, as the environment fluctuated, Exdeath remained blissfully unaffected. Interestingly as the surroundings varied, a peculiar dark purple-black aura was a partially detectable surrounding Exdeath. Due to the recent events in Cetra and the fact that his armour froze, impairing him, he underwent certain adaption, involving magic and his armour. Now, he is, thankfully, protected from any harmful natural factors; thus, rendering the Bomb’s attempts to intimidate him with sheer control of the cavern had failed.
Exdeath barely heard what Jada had said, he was too busy smugly staring back in the burning eyes of the Bomb with his own malicious, brown ones. Exdeath knew victory was on hand. Thus far, he had never been unsuccessful in regards to getting what he wanted; he would not start an unlucky streak now, or ever in fact. This was another difference Exdeath had compared to any other being who had come to claim the Bomb: he would never be denied what he desired. He would never break down or be pushed away; he was too conceited to allow such a thing to happen. It was this vanity that allowed Exdeath to stare unconcerned at the otherwise terrifying Bomb without any deterring effects.
Exdeath found this situation amusing: the Bomb still believed that Exdeath would be defeated. It could not be helped, Exdeath laughed and it boomed through the cavern and echoed off its blazing walls. His laugh was frightening because it held a distinct lack of fear and a whole lot of power resonated, even from his voice. He spoke out in his typical, deep tone that shook the already shaky foundations around them.
”I believe enough is enough. It is time for you to be silent and accept servitude and a life of obedience, dedicated to me. I will show you that there is an even greater power than your own in this world!”
With that said, Exdeath was finished participating in their unnecessary chatter. Exdeath still had a list of things he wanted to do, he did not enjoy being stalled by some creature that would soon be under his control. He withdrew his fearsome blade, Hopesbane, and held it firmly by his side. The blade sparkled with added effect because of the raging fires around them. It was unique because the blade would appear to capture the light and absorb it, as if storing energy. Of course, that is what it was exactly doing. It fed off light to boost its own strength, even though it was still little. No matter, Exdeath was confident that he would not have to rely too much on his physical abilities, though they were adequate. In this battle, he was sure he would focus more on his magical prowess to conquer his enemy.
Very little solid ground lay between him and the Bomb. This may have discouraged and prevented some individuals from venturing forth; however, Exdeath was undyingly persistent and would not give up without a fight, literally. He lurched forward, so his body was on a forty-five degree angle, facing the Bomb. With a strong push off, he launched forward and he found himself almost floating, but not, at the same time. By means of his mana manipulation, Exdeath was able to control his spell, Graviga, so that it allowed him to hover a moment or two without falling to his demise into a lava filled lake. It was not as effective as the spell, Float, although it would do in this circumstance.
He quickly found himself within arm’s reach of the flaming creature and now that he was so close, he commenced several close range attacks. Naturally, throwing punches into a searing ball of fire might not usually be a suitable notion; however, only minimal Fire spells were dealt to Exdeath. He effortlessly negated these minor assaults his overpowering number of souls which sanctified him with the ability to reduce the harm a low-level to medium spell may deliver to him to nothing. An increasingly arrogant smirk expanded on his face. This was easier than expected and it would surely not last long.
The Bomb grunted as a result of Exdeath’s physical assailing; however, it was quick to retaliate. Influencing the magma that actively worked beneath the buoyant rock Exdeath stood upon, it created a small wave that sent Exdeath quite a few paces back and nearly knocking him into the lava. Just in time, he fired himself off the rock as it was consumed by spiteful lava. Whilst in the air and manipulating his Graviga spell, Exdeath strained himself by casting a series of three quick Thunder spells at the Bomb. Two of which successfully hit, electrifying the flaring summon.
Exdeath landed with ease upon the ground where he started the fight. Already he was beginning to become impatient, though they had only been brawling for less than five minutes. Although they had been fighting for such a little time, Exdeath had noticed a dramatic size change in the Bomb, as if he was storing up for an ultimate, destructive ability. Exdeath was obviously aware of why the Bomb was named what it was and it was now clear that it intended to unleash a devastating power that, admittedly, could potentially destroy Exdeath. Logically, he could not let this happen.
Exdeath still had quite a few tools left in his arsenal, two specifically that would be tremendously beneficial in this situation. With a superior grin still plastered to his face, he began a summoning. In this instance, he summoned forth the power of the fearsome Hell hound, Cerberus.
”Ferocious hound of Hell, I command you to grant me your power!”
His words rumbled intensely from his chest. In a matter of moments, a definite shape began to materialize in the air in front of him. Soon, a fully tangible three-headed dog stood before him obediently. Its coal-black eyes shone with a particular fierceness. Without saying a word, the dog bowed its three heads and began to dematerialize. A dust-like substance flew at Exdeath; however, instead of brushing past him, the powder was absorbed into his armour and a strange glow emitted from his being. Now, he possessed the great power of Cerberus which multiplied a single spell by three, and instead of just one of the spell hitting the target, three would.
Another advantage he had was the small shiver that went down his spine. Ever since his epic battle with Frosty on Cetra, his Blizzard spells had been enhanced and their power increased. With all these additional bonuses, it was clear was spell Exdeath was going to use. What would make it more detrimental was that it was going to be utilized against a fire-based creature. So, it was unfortunate for it.
With a wicked smirk, Exdeath chanted allow, ”Come now, Bomb, accept defeat. You stand no chance. This game is done and I will reign victorious! Now... Blizzaga!”
Even though shouting the spell he would use might have given the Bomb some warning, it would not be enough time to react. Three pillars of ice seemed to shoot from the pool of violent lava and directly at the Bomb. Battered from all sides, the Bomb had no means of escape as it let out a painful bellow as it was brutally overwhelmed by the attack.
Barely hanging in the air, the words Exdeath wished to hear left the Bomb’s lips weakly. ”I... am... defeated...” What happened next was intriguing to see and it was very pleasing for Exdeath. The Bomb shattered into a powder-like dust, just as Cerberus had done, and it now passed into Exdeath. He had accomplished what he came to do. He could feel the intense power invigorate his being. It was like ecstasy, this new power. A darkly triumphant laughter exploded from Exdeath as he attained the lord of the Fiery Cavern.
Once he was done his maniacal chuckling, he turned to face the more or less cowardly Jada. Very few words left Exdeath’s mouth as he glared fiercely at the young Witch. ”Now that I have acquired what I came to receive... Take me to Biana.” Unwavering command was in his tone, he would not take no for an answer. He had a deal to strike with the witch. One that would benefit both parties.
As so it came to pass that Exdeath had not been overtaken by consuming flames. Quite the opposite, he had obtained great power that he would happily use to wipe enemies aside, as well as innocent people. The possibilities were riveting, now he just needed to go out and test them. Though, he would not be too concerned with the consequences. All he cared about now was that he could wipe away countless enemies in a single strike. Now, he was one step closer to sealing the doomed world’s fate.

The bomb disintegrated into tiny red specks as you defeated it, the specks swirled around in the air floating towards you. As you breathed in the glowing red specks entered your mouth and nose absorbing the bomb deep within you. You felt your insides become hotter confirming you had acquired the bomb, Jada meanwhile stepped back next to you. Your words and the seriousness of them shocked her a little, taking a few steps backwards she nodded.
"Ok Exdeath....let's get out of here...she will be the one to find us."
