Welcome to Final Fantasy: Journey’s End!
We welcome you with open arms and hope that you enjoy your time on the board. If you are new, this guide is to help you navigate some of the potentially rocky terrain of getting started. It may seem a bit confusing at first, but once you get used to it, the systems for everything here are relatively easy to learn and remember.
Let’s get started!
Step One: Know the Staff
Step Two: Know the Rules
Step Three: Know the Plot and Setting
Step Four: Make a Character
We welcome you with open arms and hope that you enjoy your time on the board. If you are new, this guide is to help you navigate some of the potentially rocky terrain of getting started. It may seem a bit confusing at first, but once you get used to it, the systems for everything here are relatively easy to learn and remember.
Let’s get started!
Step One: Know the Staff
- Adiona, otherwise known as the FFJE Manager. She’s the boss, so behave or you’ll have to answer to her.
- Belzera, or Demon Lord. He’s Adi’s counterpart on the board, and usually is the one looking over and approving (or not) character submissions.
- Silver Sylph
- Omega
- Delfi
- Loci
Those four are admins here on FFJE. The admins here aren’t the typical message board admins (that’s Adi and Bel’s jobs). The admins of FFJE are the ones that help move along each characters topics or storylines. They are the ones that grant rewards as topics are finished as well. The rewards are items, gil, or exp earned to put toward advancing your character. This is explained in more detail later.
Step Two: Know the Rules
Just like any other roleplaying message board out there, FFJE has its own list of rules to keep everything running smoothly.
A full list of the rules can be found by clicking here.
There’s nothing really out of the ordinary where the rules are concerned. Everything basically has to follow our rules and the rules that proboards sets as well. If you want to read through the proboards terms of use, there’s a link all the way at the bottom of the page.
Step Three: Know the Plot and Setting
FFJE encompasses the whole spectrum of Final Fantasy games. That means you could see Cloud teaming up with Squall, or Kefka teaming up with Seymour. We don’t follow the storyline of the games, at least not as if you were playing through them. Many things that form the foundations of the Final Fantasy games have been kept, such as the ShinRa Power Company (FF7), the Gardens (FF8), etc. The world is split into various continents, and the locales from each of the games can be found on those continents.
Here’s a link to the world map. If you want to know what is on each continent, all you have to do is look at the board as a whole. Each continent is its own topic, with locations listed therein.
The Timeline of FFJE. The events listed in this timeline explain how all of the Final Fantasy worlds meld together.
War Story. This is another topic that covers a good deal of the more recent history of FFJE. Almost everyone is at war with each other, whether it be public or private.
The Moogle Monthly area of FFJE is not only a good, but it is the best way to keep up with important current events going on around the board.
Step Four: Make a Character
Now that you know the staff, the rules, and the history of the world of FFJE, you are ready to begin your own journey! If you have any questions or concerns along the way, someone will usually be glad to help you out in the cbox found to the left of your screen, or in the support board.
