Midgar - A Continent basically governed by the energy company known as Shinra Inc. Their influence is strong here, This continent is thriving with people seeing as it hosts two of the largest cities being both Midgar and Junon. Also your eyes might only catch the grand sights of this continent yet watch out for the corrupted ways of Shinra, Which is becoming a war wanting nation.
Midgar City
A giant, sprawling night-encased city, Midgar is basically run by the Shinra corp. There are eight Mako generators spaced around the perimeter; the city is divided into eight sectors, and the Shinra headquarters is at the top of a giant "pizza" - a huge steel disc covering the slums of the city. Amongst the slums are locations such as; the Wall Market, & the Train Graveyard. Just recently the Sister Ray has been set up here at this location.
¬ Shinra Headquarters - A 70 floored building which is, As the title suggets, The Headquarters of Shinra Inc. It's where Shinra hosts it's big meetings and stores it's most treasured items. On the higher levels you require a keycard which only high level Shinra personel carry. Also the HQ has a recreational area, A model of Midgar, A small prison and Hojo's Lab where he stores the majority of his speciemen. Of course on the 70th is the desk of the President himself.
¬ Sector 7 - The hideout of AVALANCHE. It's close to the Train Graveyard and has a variety of shops and has Tifa's 7th Heaven bar. The bar is the main hideout for AVALANCHE. Like most sectors it can be reached by train, Also take note that the Pillar Support is nearby.
¬ Train Graveyard - An area close to Sector 7. In order to pass you must rearrange the trains but beware as this area is known for high numbers of ghosts. Yet there are quite a few items which are worthwhile going through to collect.
¬ Wall Market - One of the more lit up spots within Midgar is the Wall Market. The Wall Market has a variety of shops and places of interest. Don Cornea is quite a rich man within his area and his mansion is located at the back. Also
¬ Sector 6 - A sector that is still under construction. It's close to a small park and also the entrance to Sector 7. It's fairly small but is sprawling with a lot of fiends. You will most likely seem the construction materials on your way through.
¬ Slums - These dominate some of the sectors throughout Midgar. Shinra wants to forget about these areas, Most haven't even got housing and have become crowded with monsters. Light doesn't reach these are's of the city and most people here have grown tired of Shinra Inc, Yet they still can't move out.
¬ Church - The only place in Midgar where flowers grow. It's seen as one of the few sites of beauty within Midgar and the slums. The church itself is quite old and also quite small. There is few things to observe other than the sheer beauty.
¬ Shinra Reactors - These are dotted around Midgar City. They give electricity to the city yet at the same time they harm the environment. Mako reactors drain the lifestream from the land meaning it's destroying the planet. These are guarded by numerous Shinra Machina, Sometimes you might encounter SOLDIER here as well. But most of the time Shinra Grunts patrol the area.
Kalm Town
A small and peaceful town with an inn, pub, train station, houses, & various shops. There's a large clock in the town centre, and rumours of an AVALANCHE hide-out somewhere.
Chocobo Farm
A farm run by Chocobo Billy where you can rent the stables for 1,000gil each. There are also chocobo tracks outside, & Billy has info on Chocobos. This is perfect for chocobo breeding, Also you can train them up and race them.
Junon
A large port city, it has an upper and lower part. The lower part used to be a fishing village, but now only has only a few poor inhabitants amongst the pollution. The upper part, which can be reached via elevator, has many rich stores, bars, etc. There's also an Inner Junon which is manned by Shinra and operates the giant cannon mounted on the shore section of Junon. It's also where SOLDIERS are trained.
Rocket Town
When Shinra were a weapons company they built a missile base at this location, originally the rocket known as Shinra No 26 was meant to go into space yet after an accident it never did. Now it's a small village just in the open fields of the continent. Rocket Town is full of fairly dull people, Nothing interesting seems to happen within their lives. Shinra seem to have little interest of reopening their space program and sending No. 26 into space.
