Gabriel was sitting in his dorm room, in the dark. He had his eyes closed and was meditating. His mother, a fellow SeeD was out on a mission, so, he did not have her to keep an eye on him all the time, which, he found quite relaxing. He loved his mother, but, she could be a little overbearing at times. So, he had decided, with his final exams coming up, he would devote his time entirely to getting both his body and his mind ready for it. He was sure he would pass, he would be damned if he let Karrl get to Class A Rank before he did, but, none the less, he would make sure he was ready.
It had been two hours since he started his meditating, and, so, he decided it was time to head down to the training area. So, standing up he brushed his clothes down before reaching for his mask and placing it over his silky skin and long, blonde hair. The thing was with Gabriel, he did not like people seeing his face, no one knew why, it was not that he was ugly, ok, not the most handsome guy out there, but, he was attractive, in that plain, sort of slightly feminine way. The true reason behind it was far more complicated than that, but, that’ll come later.
He stood there for a moment or two, playing with Mahō Udewa, the golden armlet had always had. Gabriel had asked his mother once about it, and she told him that they found it on him when he was found outside the Garden when he was a baby. They were interested in it because, a) it seemed to grow when he did and b) it could not be taken off. The thing was, even though he never told his mother, for reasons he was still unsure off, he could take it off, but, it seemed that no one else could, which he found kind of cool.
Finally, once he had played with his armlet a bit he nodded, “Time to train Gabriel.” He looked around at the room one more time before he stepped towards and through his dorm room door. He knew his itinerary, where to go, how long he was going to be there, what to do and so on and so fourth. However, he always liked to mentally prep himself, even for the simplest of tasks, his mother often commented on that fact he over-thought things way too much, and, he should go on instinct more often. However, whether or not that would be the case has yet to be determined.

Making his way through the hallways of Balamb Garden he looked around at the place. He noticed the odd stare, but, he was use to it by then. It was the younger students that stared, and, he could understand why. Gabriel was an interesting sight to behold, a slightly grey-white mask, the armlet being the only thing that covered his top, and a pair of baggy, black trousers with a silver stripe down each side of the legs. The older students, the one he had grown up with, were used to his, unique, appearance, so, they did not stare. However, the newer students were not used to him, so they could not help it, and, so, Gabriel never held it against them.
He stopped for a moment and looked around. He had to admit he loved this place, well, it was all he knew. He had never actually known his real parents, and was, adopted, for all intensive purposes, but one of the SeeD. It had never really bothered him, not known who his parents were, however, from time to time, like this time, he could not help but wonder, who they actually were. However, like all times, the wondering was only momentarily and with it pushed to the back of his mind, he adjusted his armlet slightly before he pushed on forward.
It did not take him long until he reached the front of the training room. He stood there for a moment or two, just thinking about his plans in there. He could often be found in the training room doing what he did best. Gabriel knew the plan, he would fight until he was at the point of exhaustion. He wanted to get his physical limits to the top, and this state of thinking was the reason why he was one of the physically, toughest SeeD Recruits in his class. He had limited ability with magic, but, physically, he was good. So, with the final mental preparations out of the way he went into the training area.

As Gabriel entered the training room he looked around for a second or two before nodding almost like he decided some invisible decision. With that he turned right and went through the west secondary entrance of the training room. Like always, he training programme was simple enough. He would enter through the west entrance and go around until he hit the west one. By then he had usually encountered several battles, and, usually, three or four big ones was all he could handle. True, for a trainee he was tough, but, at the end of the day, he was still only a trainee, and so, compared to a veteran member of SeeD he was not all that.
It did not take long after going through the west entrance when he came across he first battle, three grants. He did not mind facing them, they were tough, but, he could handle them. He always kept his mind sharp and his feet fast just in case he faced off against one particular foe, the T-Rexaur. He had come across them a few times in his training, but, he knew that he was not match for them so, he fled and fled fast. However, he did use them for his training, his speed and agility, since, it was difficult to run as well as dodge and weave from the attacks of the giant and terrible lizard.
When he saw the Grants he did not waste any time and went straight into battle. As he went in one of the Grants swung one of their vine like arms at him, but, he ducked underneath the attack and rolled forward. As he rolled he sprung out and slammed his knee into its face knocking it backwards. As he landed from the jumping knee he spun around and caught it with a massive spinning back kick planting his foot into the side of the Grants head. He smiled, even though it could not be seen from behind the mask, however, it would be short lived, since, after all, the fight was far from done.
Just as he planted the spinning back kick the second Grants attacked, but, due to the position Gabriel was in, he did not have the ability to dodge it and so was knocked back when the vines struck him. Staggering back he rubbed his chest and knew it was time to use the little magic he had. He took a deep breath and casted the magic on himself, and with that, he started to move quicker, for the magic he knew was a little spell called Haste. With that he charged in towards the Grants he had already hurt and slammed it with two quick, successive attacks dropping it where it stood.

As he landed from the two attacks he did not have the time to dodge the following attacks that came from the two remaining Grants. One of their vine hands slammed into the side of him knocking him sideways, where the other one charged in and started to bite him. He grunted as the life seemed to be draining out of him. He mustered some strength and slammed his knee into the stomach area of the Grant knocking it backwards and off him before Gabriel performed a right hook at the Grant and finished off with a boot knocking it backwards even more.
Because he was still on the ground and had hit wits about him, despite being drained before of the last attack dealt to him by the Grants he had the wherewithal to see the attack from the other Grant come at him. He managed to back flip moving in between the attacks from its vine like arms. As he finished the final back flip he saw the Grant that he had attack coming at him. It looked like, from the pose, he was going to attempt that same draining attack as before. He was not going to let it. So, just as it charged Gabriel bent his knees slightly and jumping flipped over the Grant.
Just before he was about to land he turned his body slightly slamming both of his feet hard into the Grant finishing it off. From the angle he was he launched himself straight for the final one. He pulled back his fists and they started to glow. One of his hands glowed black, whilst the over glowed white. Gabriel looked directly at the Grant and shouted out, [color-green]“Futago Kiba!”
[/color] Futago Kiba, or Twin Fang, was Gabriel’s special technique, it dealt more damage than his normal attacks, plus, it had a nasty surprise. When he struck the Grant with his fists the white and black light went into it and sent it staggering backwards.
Standing there Gabriel watched as it seemed that his ability worked. The Grant swung its arms wildly and even though its mouth was opening and closing so sound came out. Gabriel did not waste any time and charged in quickly weaving his way through the thrashing arms. When he was in striking distance his planted the Grant with two well aimed punches and a powerful sidekick taking out the final Grant. Gabriel stood there for a second or two with his head bowed slightly and adjusting his mask.[/blockquote]

As he adjusted his mask he suddenly fell to one knee and started to breath heavily. It seemed that the adrenalin had gone away and the pain from the attacks he had sustained had caught up with him. As he knelt there he clutched the side of his ribs and the area of the shoulder where the Grant had bitten into. He tried to steady his breath and as he did he said, “Must have reached my limit…” He took a deep breath and exhaled, “Oh well, it seems that I have still got a ways to go before I can equal the veterans of Balamb Garden.”
Finally standing up he looked around for a second or two before he spoke once more, “Hmm, the pain is not that bad, nothing a hot shower a some painkiller won’t fix. Might have to put a bandage on the wound, which means I will need something to cover up the bandage, guess I will need to put on a top. Oh well.” He rotated his shoulder, the one that had not been bitten into and he suddenly realised he had a lot of spare time, so, he thought about what he could do to pass it. He knew he could not continue with training, so, he thought about it as he stood there.
It took him a few moments to decide, “Guess, with some spare time on my hands I could go into town, maybe relax and take in a walk, maybe even a drink of something. Yes, that sounds like a good idea.” So with that decided he headed back to his room. Once he had gotten a shower and changed into some clothing more suitable for the outdoors he would go to Balamb Town. He had not been there for a little while, too preoccupied with training and studies, but, even someone like Gabriel needed a break. Little did he know he was about to meet an interesting character and get into an event that could make him a friend.
