A brilliant light shone down from the sky as an elven priestess shrouded herself in a brilliant light, which cushioned the blow from the bandersnatch. The light was beautiful, and Autumn couldn't help but stare at it's brilliance. However, in doing so, she let her guard down. Just as she regained control over her body from the light, she saw a familiar face rushing towards her. Nothing seemed to be more scary that a bit set of teeth and claws about to attack you. She lifted up her sword in order to defend herself, but it was useless. The bandersnatch reached her and manage to strike lethal blows from behind her great sword. She shrieked loudly as she felt the claws ripping at her, and soon, she blacked out. But not before she heard the laughter of the same elven priestess who was attacked just before. She shed a tear in humility. Gladly, this wasn't the end, but she felt a pain as she kept hearing that laughter in her head over and over as she faded into black.

Marko followed the beast with his eyes, nearly falling over as he was rushed by while the bandersnatch darted toward two of the female fighters. The young moogle turned toward the beast and saw the first person get pushed back…but was still up. Marko recognized the second person. “No! Autumn!” he yelled, rushing toward the large beast.
“Stupid ugly dog thing!”
Marko jumped off of the ground and into the air, rolling as he moved. He seemed a blur of brown and blue. “This is for Autumn!” he yelled, instead of naming his attack like he normally would. That meant something was seriously off with him. He landed on the beasts head with his foot, before punching twice more before jumping back away from the monster.
Tigg dazedly rose to his feet, shaking his head as he too in the darkened surroundings. Just a moment ago he had been diving for cover at the tail end of what had been a long night, and now he was here, in a world of black and blue. He almost laughed at the irony.
A group of individuals were being roughly hassled by an unusual and hairy monstrosity, one of them being sliced by the creatures razor-edged claws. A voice seemed to be speaking to him, but the fading ring in his ears drowned out most of what was said.
Deciding that it would be best to help out here until he could hear of what was happening. Drawing on the powers he could muster, Tigg sent a torrent of air forth to blast the beast, before inflating the puff that hang over his head to rise into the air. Shuttling himself forwards, he drew his wrench and hefted it, ready to attack. Bobbing just above the bandersnatch's head, Tigg let the air out of his pom-pom, bringing his wrench down like a hammer. As Tigg swung, he released a strained *kupo*, acknowledging the fellow moogle attacking the monsters legs.
Souji opened his eyes and find himself laying on the ground in some "area". He wouldn't call it a room since he didn't see walls and it didn't look like it was outside since what should have been the sky was pure black. Souji looked around confused as he picked himself up. Around him he saw a group of people he has never seen before fighting a bandersnatch. That when it hit him, he must be dreaming. That explained everything. The last thing he remembered was going to sleep and now he was here, a dream was the only thing that could explain it. Just because it was a dream didn't mean Souji wasn't going to go all out. A fight was going on in his own dream and he was gonna partake.
Souji began to gather his inner energy as he began to juice up his body. His muscles began to grow and pulse as his veins began to pop out, "Pump UP!" Souji shouted as he clenched his fists and looked upwards. With his body in peak condition, Souji charged towards the bandersnatch giving him one good punch in the gut before retreating to give him room to react. Now this looked to be an entertained dream.
Cloud grumbled, cursing under his breath because this dog-thing wouldn’t go down. He watched as they threw attack after attack at the beast, yet it still stood and still kept attacking them. That of course, meant that he could keep going. He didn’t have many words to speak to the others around them, though he noticed that Squall had joined the battle somewhere along the line.
He ran past the man and spoke while he moved. “Took you long enough” he smirked, bringing his blade forward from behind him toward the Bandersnatches side. He spun once more, bringing the blade to cut into the beast a second time.

Leon stood there and watched the Bandersnatch charge down and smash into the two females. He had to admit it was a mixed bag of emotions. There was the fact he was angry by the fact the creature would hurt two such beautiful creatures, then there was the fact he was glad that it was not him on the receiving end of it and finally there was a feeling of helplessness, known, that there was a very good chance he was not strong enough to hurt the creature.
So, he continued to stand there, feeling the protective spell he had cast upon himself there, but slowly fading away, know, there was also another good chance, without it, he would fall victim to the Bandersnatch himself, if the creature chose to turn on him next. He did not like this feeling, so, he held tight to the rusty iron dagger he held in his hand, and hoped, that he would not have to face it any time soon.

Favael glared at the beast, it would not go down and it had already taken down one of their large group. Not that he cared about the group as a whole, since Seymour was safe. He just didn’t care. In fact it was better that way, the beast wasn’t attacking himself or the maester. The young mage clenched his hand in a fist once more, as sparks caused fire to ignite around his hand.
“Burning Flame!” he yelled, throwing his hand forward. Just as they had before, two balls of fire flew from his hand and burst into the side of the bandersnatch. Hopefully it would be enough to take the beast down.

The Bandersnatch explodes into pyreflies under your joint attacks and the battlefield is covered with the floating lights.
Battle II WIN: +300XP/GIL [500Exp/Gil total]
You all hear an unnerving sound behind you and as you all turn Zeak and Melody are greeted by a shadow slashing its twisted claw across your chest rapidly and Zeak would feel a darkness attempt to take over your sight just before the world darkens and everything becomes harder to see.

She would stand here ground though, whatever was going on these people needed her help!
Two more had been hurt by the new creatures that replaced the defeated bandersnatch. She quickly glanced from one to the other, before deciding that the needs of the man were possibly greater, due to the affliction that had been bestowed upon him. Besides, the woman seemed to be a healer just like her, so she should be fine. Raising her hand in the air, she cast her curing magic on the dark skinned man before pulling out her ocarina. It was certainly worth a try, she thought as she began to play a tune she had been taught before leaving home. The sound was intended to be strangely soothing toward her opponent, but with adverse effects. Usually anyway, though hopefully it would pay off this time as well. --------------------------------------------------------

As the beast burst into a swarm of flickering lights, Tigg turned to observe the damage that the Bandersnatch had wrought. Taking in the scene, Tigg noticed the two who had been clawed by the groups fallen foe had disappeared. Despite the lack of pyrefly hosts, he could only assume that they had died beneath the razor edged assault. The engineer was sorry to have lost allies, especially as he hadn't the chance to learn who they were. At least the Bandersnatch was gone.
Tigg had begun to walk across to those that remained, approaching the closest grouped, when the shadowy form of the Creeps attacked, striking before he could react. Hoping that neither of those that had been struck were dangerously harmed, Tigg decided to take action. Charging towards the Creeps, Tigg launched a ball of flame towards the shadowy entity, followed by a shot of pneumatic pressure, hoping the flame would make the monster a truer target.

As Leon stood there he was unsure what the hell to do, his limited magical energy had been spent, and, he knew, if he got into the fight in any other way he would just be getting in the way. He wished his little brother was there. Ok, little Vincent was as skilled a fighter as he was, so, almost no fighting ability, but, Vincent had a natural talent with the magical arts, and would have been more use to the group than he was. So, with all of this running through his mind, he held his rusty iron dagger and hoped he would not have to fight.

Favael paid no mind at all to the other person that had been taken down. There were no pyreflies from his teammate, which meant that there was no actual death here. He turned around quickly to see the new foe, since the Bandersnatch had fallen to the multitude of attacks. A creature of shadow…what better way to attack it than with fire?
The boy placed his hands together, before throwing both of them forward. Two balls of fire swirled around each other and directly at the Creeps.

The creeps rushes towards two targets swiftly, its right claw rises up infront of the burmecian mage that had acted as a support, swiftly dragging its claws down across her chest before it slashes its other claw across Leons chest and retreating backwards from the party.
For a moment of time, Cloud had lost his bearing on the fight. The Bandersnatch had been taken down yet until others had started to attack what looked like a living shadow, he hadn’t seen anything. That shadow managed to take down another of their rather large party, giving the swordsman a decent reason to attack (other than of course, that this was a colosseum). Dragging his large blade through the air, Cloud swiped upward at the creature and then straight back down, easily controlling the blade with both hands despite the weapon’s weight and size.

As Leon saw the lightning strike come he did what his gut instinct told him to do and that was, duck and cover. However, it seemed that there was nowhere to actually cover, do, he ducked and hoped his strategy of making himself small so the lightning would not notice him would work. He was half right, he was still struck by the lightning, but, strangely enough it did not hurt him as much as he thought it would. He stood up blinking for a second or two, and hoped that his chances of survival just went up.
Actions: Block (Def and Spr doubled) Damage Taken: 120
As Tigg watched the Creeps continue to assault his allies, he came to the conclusion that the best course of action would be to maintain the bombardment of the creature with magic. While he still had access to a reserve of mana, the engineer knew it would be best to leave the melee to those with the skill for it.
Circling at a distance, so as to ensure a clear target and to best avoid causing damage to those who had claimed the monsters attention, the moogle began to conjure forth a pair of blazing projectiles. Dashing forward, Tigg launched the two fireballs almost simultaneously befor pulling back to a safer distance.

His first barrage did seemingly nothing, and that pissed him off. A fire burned in his eyes, and with it came sparks across his skin. The young mage twisted his hands about midair once more, creating two balls of flame - it was the only way he was going to be effective in this fight. He swiped his saber forward, sending the two fire spells straight at the Creeps.

Marko blinked, having lost track of time there for a moment. "Uh...what..." he looked around. The white beast thingy wasn't there anymore but now people were attacking a shadow. Not that he minded - he was still angry about Autumn.
The small creature hopped once, and gave a rather loud "kupo" as his warcry before bounding at the shadow-creature with a flurry of punches.

Battle is for: Favael, Autumn, Zeak , Cloud, Leon, Melody, Marko, Hikari, Seymour, Adelina, Vincent, Yeowang, Squall, Reuna, Tigg, Griff.
The creeps brings its claws down swiftly upon Leon twice in quick successions taking him down and out this time with ease, there was no way for him to survive this assualt from the creeps however for the rest of you it was good that it had focused on one person as it seemed like the best could fell most of you with ease.
Tigg was sorry to see yet another ally fall under the fury of their foes, but he didn't let it interfere with with the situation. This was combat, and as little as he liked the situation, to falter at the loss of a friend was to invite doom. The best course of action would be to continue the fight, to bring vengeance to the enemy.
With this sentiment at the fore of his mind, Tigg continued to maintain the magical barrage. Muttering under his breath, the moogle produced another pair of fireballs. Carrying them up in a high arc, he dropped them over the Creeps. The bombardment was low, but he felt better for delivering his payload in such a personal manner. Consequences weren't a part of his consideration.

"Stop it you stupid shadow thing!" The tiny moogle yelled, slamming his fist into the dark creature's face before bounding backward with a quickly and tight backflip. He glanced around to see who was still fighting but also felt himself start to slow down.
"No way, not done yet. Hey spiky-guy, speed it up a bit!" He yelled toward Cloud, who seemed to be the only one still close up against him for the moment. "And I will too!" He folded his hands momentarily, and the little moogle started to glow green. With a flash, he lit up, but a bolt of energy flew to Cloud as well.

"Dammit...why won't this monster just die already..." The young mage cursed a bit more under his breath while flames still wreathed around him. He gathered up what he could still muster and shot off two more blasts of fire at the monster. He knew he'd have to go in close after this...he was almost drained. This thing needed to die.

As he moved to strike again, Cloud felt a strange feeling come over him. It felt as if his clock had sped up - and each of his movements were faster than before. "Thanks" he said, not looking to see who it was that actually cast it. Anything to take this monster down sooner though.
He flipped the blade around in his hands and held it up above his head. He slashed down at the creeps, but now turned. He spun with blade in hand, slicing through the beast twice more before coming to a stop.
Due in part to a large lapse of attention, Seymour had just now focused back in on the chaos surrounding him. The large beast had been taken down after a long assault from the entire force gathered here, but perhaps the strangest thing was the absence of pyreflies; it seemed anyone who had been slain here simply vanished instead of died. Being half-guado, he was very sure of this fact. He quickly got his bearings back and located the new enemy, although it was a difficult thing to see at first.
He hadn't seen much of anything quite like it. It was almost a shadow given the breath of life, and it was making short work of the warriors on the front lines which made Seymour fairly comfortable right where he was at. He decided to try his hand at a different element of magic to experiment.
First, with focus and a circular wave of his staff, he'd drop an orb of water right down on the creature's head. Afterward, he would summon a ball of lightning into his hands and seemingly stretch it out into a lance between his hands before flinging it right at the creature, using the bolt of lightning as a make-shift throwing spear.

As it turned out, Squall perceived this monster to be so violent it would be best to endure and wait for an opening to strike it; apparently not many shared his thoughts on the situation and just as he readied himself to finish it off, it burst into a cloud of pyreflies and the fight seemed over. However, it seemed this strange arena had more in store for them than he had first thought. After hearing the ripping of flesh, he quickly turned to see a creature of shadow tearing away at the front ranks and dispatching his allies one after another.
He knew he couldn't wait this time, and had to attack now. He saw Cloud charging for the beast after emitting a soft glow of magic, and double timed a long sprint to try and match his pace. Upon arrival, he worked his gunblade attacks in tandem with Cloud for a combined assault against the strange creature. If they didn't kill it, hopefully they would at least be able to weaken it enough for another combatant to finish the job.

She didn't want to loss even though she knew it wouldn't actually kill her. She watched the monster as it burst into pyreflies but somehow knew it wasn't the last. She kept an watch on the new monster sent to test them. She knew her attacks were relatively weak but all damage inflicted counted. She watched for her moment to strike, paying no mind to those around her any more.
See her opportunity she threw herself into an attack hoping it would work out for her. As she landed from the first attack, she was ready to launch herself into her second. She moved with grace as she launched her second assault before landing beside Squall, watching the monster warily. [/style]
