Personality:
At a glance Melody can typically described as a seemingly naive woman with a head full of air. Her cheerful and optimistic nature makes it easy for others to approach her, making the woman a very approachable person. As it would stand for every person however, there are aspects to her initial nature that strangers tend to often overlook. In reality her naive nature is only a cunning front to how the Cetra really is, a ruse to throw others off when they expect her to be a simple ignorant woman. Underneath her naive exterior is a philosophical and highly idealistic woman. To strangers she is often polite and well-mannered, greeting potentially new acquaintances with a sense of elegance and refinement.
Irregardless of whether a person is an ally, a friend, or a foe, the Cetra attempts to deal with everyone through a great degree of patience. Melody is by nature a pacifistic woman, preferring to avoid conflicts whenever possible. As such the Cetra has evolved over time into becoming a benevolent person, using a serrated pen rather then a sword to deal with any situation given to her. At the same time her pacifism can be seen as a downfall, making her highly hesitant in a scenario when combat or violence is the only option available. Nevertheless this makes her Melody a poignant yet quaint strategist, where she attempts to diffuse conflicts through use of word rather then brutal fists. Her innate friendly nature can be a bit grating on others as well, since she is a bit stubborn in her pursuits at attempting to befriend others.
As such she attempts to be courteous and gentle to strangers, as she feels it's better to form alliances rather then rivalries. Those that meet her have described her before as being a gentle and optimistic woman, to which she personally agrees to in regards to her personality. Melody places a higher value in hope rather then despair, preferring to view daily events and occurrences in positive light. She has no qualms of being shy around strangers, and sometimes the girl has been known to approach complete strangers in an attempt to strike up a conversation. At the very least she is far from being a shy girl, instead she holds a great deal of natural-charisma that makes it easier for her to approach others whether they like it or not.
The Cetra also places an emphasis on building trust and loyalty among allies and friends, much to the point where she can hold long memories of those that cross her. While she is willing to forgive someone a few times for past conflicts and foolishness, Melody has been known to never forget those that harm or bring conflict to those she values. Though her diction and language is usually kind most of the time, she holds no care in sugar coating her words. In a way she has a sense of blunt honesty, someone who is willing to speak their mind despite impending consequences. Those that earn the woman's trust will find her to be a loyal and protective friend, while those that cross her will find her to be "frighteningly sweet".
In the end Melody is an optimistic girl who values friendship, harmony, and peace. She prefers to be a diplomat rather then a fighter, making her a bit pacifistic in nature.

HISTORY:
Even from the earliest memories she could recall, Melody hasn't had the chance to investigate the true origins of her birth. In a sense where she was born remains a complete mystery, but to to a slum couple in Midgar she was everything they wanted in a daughter. A simple shopkeeper by the name of Clive and his wife Maria Buvelle found the abandoned baby girl on the doorstep on a silent night, and despite their efforts to find her parents they came up with no information. The only item they associated with the strange child was a golden hair clip, along with a small piece of paper indicating her name. The fact that they already had an older son made them hesitant in wanting to adopt her, though after a few weeks of keeping her the Buvelle family decided to take her in under their name.
As a young girl the Buvelle family found Melody to be a child with strange abilities, often to the point where she frightened and surprised her mother when she began telling stories told by an “Aunty Jennaâ€. It became apparent through the sheer frequency of these stories, that their daughter wasn't simply telling stories told from an imaginary friends. Other times she'd be found in remote locations with her eyes closed, while talking to no one in particular. Needless to say her parents and her brother dealt with her odd abilities by treating it as an aspect to her personality, meaning they usually brushed it off as child's play. Even with her talks to the “soil†or “Aunt Jennaâ€, Melody also grew to become interested in the musical arts. Her desire to sing and dance brought an emotional turmoil to her parents specifically, whom found it hard to find funding for her after school lessons. As a trade off they worked longer hours to supply Melody with musical lessons, though in the end it was all eventually worth it.
By the time she fourteen she found herself employed in the family business, of which Melody viewed as a way to pay back her parents for going through the trouble financially for her schooling. An encounter with ShinRa who had been investigating her birth lead to the revelation that the Buvelle daughter was a Cetra. This lead to a period of time where the family was constantly harassed into handing over Melody for "harmless research", leading to manipulative boycotts of her family's store. The only way to avoid further poverty was through a joint agreement, to which her brother agreed to become an agent for ShinRa on the grounds that her safety be left to him. The agreement created an awkward truce, where her brother was forced to constantly monitor and report on her status.
The company was surprisingly true to their word, and within a few weeks the Buvelle's small business finally began to turn around. Melody continued her musical studies, and by the time she was sixteen she managed to gain a job as a vocalist in the very place where she received her own lessons. Despite the initial hardships of ShinRa constantly imposing on her family and her status, Melody lived a relatively stable life surrounded with her friends and her love of music. It wasn't until she turned eighteen, with her legal status as an adult where the company would begin to make another move in an attempt to abduct her. A few days after her birthday the company attempted to kidnap Melody from her home, though with the help of an anonymous tip and her brother she managed to avoid capture. Melody was treated with a harsh reality, that despite the earlier deals the company still wanted to abduct her eventually for purposes unfathomable.
Melody was given the option of leaving Midgar, a choice that she hesitated to take due to fear of repercussions on her brother and parents. Though she attempted to reason with them, they eventually forced her to escape with outside help. By smuggling their daughter away with a shipment from the city to the town of Kalm, the Cetra managed to escape from Midgar unwillingly. At the same time the constant pursuit of the company has forced her to travel constantly, though even now she has taken advantage of the opportunity to find new musical opportunities and other information about her heritage.
Roleplay Sample:
There was a sharp tension in the air as she sat there nervously, pale fingers tapping along the hem of her dress. It was all alarming to her, to find out that you were different from others. From a mirror she recalled the appearance of a normal 14 year old girl, yet here she was nibbling on her bottom lip in fear of her fate. To an extent she was familiar with ShinRa, a company that always presented itself in the limelight as being a paragon of business. Yet as she sat there with her baby blue hues glancing at the clock, she couldn't help but sense something sinister as the trio of her parents and brother argued in the room behind her. She inhaled slowly to calm her nerves, the Cetra pushing a bit of weight on her feet as she sat up in the kitchen ever so quietly.
Spying wouldn't hurt a bit she thought, the pinkette creeping against the floor in an attempt to remain silent as she approached the aged door. Her fingers pushed a few strands of pink hair away from her ear, before she pressed the side of her head against the door to listen in on their conversation. There was a strange silence, though the familiar sound of a foot tapping against the wooden floor unnerved her. A standoff? she questioned, until the panging baritone yell of her brother reverberated throughout the room and through the door. The screams of her parents soon followed, accompanying a sickening thud that made her heart drop. With renewed courage the petite girl quickly opened the door, her eyes widening as she gasped at the sight in front of her.
Held down on the floor was Aster, his cheeks pressed against the creaking wooden floor as he gritted his teeth in frustration. One of the guards accompanying the ShinRa agent stared at her emotionally, while he held the Buvelle in a grip. Her mother was crying in an attempt to rush towards her son, while her father too was held back by the second bodyguard. "What are you doing!? Let Aster go right now!" Out of protective instinct she rushed forward, only to be caught in an arm that prevented her from going any further. There was a gruff laugh from her side as she bashed at the arm with her fists, and for a moment she was distracted enough to glance at the man's face. The scientist was in his early thirties, with a smooth face as he chided Melody with a wave of his finger in front of her face.
"Why hello again there little Ms. Buvelle, how polite of you to join us on in our negotiations." The sly tone of his voice did little to deter the Cetra from budging, her eyes glaring at him without an ounce of fear. "Seeing as your family has been unwilling to cooperate, it seems that your stay here will have to end--". The scientist began, pushing Melody back a few feet before a loud growl came from Aster. With a worried face she glanced at her brother, a hand clutching her chest as the scientist motioned for the guard to release Aster from his grip. "Aster... what are you...?" she began, uncertainty lacing her voice as she along with her parents watched the boy bowing in front of the agent in a begging manner. Instantly Melody ran pass the agent and his guards, clutching her brother from the side in an attempt to pull him from his position. "I'll do it... so just leave her alone." He grunted under his breath, straining the ears of the agent as the Cetra blinked in confusion.
"Ahh! So you're starting to understand how business works then my dear Aster, and it seems that with the deal then that little Melody will stay with you for a little while longer then." The agent grinned playfully, and with a snap of his fingers the two guards followed the shorter man as they left the household without any other word. Melody frowned, her brows furrowed as her parents came rushing to envelop both of them in their trembling arms. There were only tears and angry cries, but for a moment she was safe in their arms.

Hey there the CA needs some work right now.
White Benediction (Passive): When casting a healing spell, heal 10% of the initial amount healed over a period of two turns. This effect cannot be stacked, during the two turns it the effect takes place no further benedictions can be granted until the two turns are over.
You need to state who is the target of the CA, is it the caster? is it the target? is it the party?
Is it 5% on the next round and then another 5% the round after?
Also I would much rather have hard numbers rather than percentages as percentages can start causing headaches as more and more people use them

It wouldn't be split into two different percentages if that's what you were asking. An example would be the cure spell which had a base power of 150, 10% of this is 15 which would be healed over two turns. This means 8 HP one turn, then 7 the next turn or post. I know there is an issue with percent based abilities, I'm just wondering if I'll be allowed to keep it since it isn't hard to calculate. It's just the cure power multiplied by .10 to get the passive amount number. If its alright though I can go with actual numbers, I just don't know what would be a good number for this ability. I just felt the percent aspect was just enough to still be useful as she levels up. As for the target, the effect takes place on who the spell was castes on. I'm thinking it's for single targets though, by sure if casting a multi target heal would be a bit much. Does that help xD? Sorry about the post, using my phone .

Okay thats cleared up the over two turns part, the issue with the percentage is that this is a level 1 CA, which means the CA will grow in power whenever you eventually get enough XP to upgrade it anyway. Hard numbers for this would probably be 15 points for two rounds and yes I understand that percentages allow for weak abilities to become stronger as the character does.
So I tell you what, if you have the level 2 and 3 versions of this ability already in mind PM me them and then once I can see the whole CA tree I can make a better decision regarding the percentages issue. [Currently the only thing on the site that works with percentages is Fount, Regen and the Gravity spells]
