The attacks the party inflicted on the Karrls shattered them instantly, as the blows couldn't be sustained by the fragile beasts.

Victory!
---
As the original Ruby Karrl shattered, it left behind a rather intact piece of himself in the form of a glowing ruby.
(Hint hint, pay attention for the rest of the thread in regards to detail, as you may need to pick certain things up)
The booming voice came about again, it's voice echoing once more.
"You have defeated the fiery form of yourself. You have proven yourself worthy of the first test. Take my blessing and you shall proceed to the next trial."
A glowing, flaming light surrounded both Luna and Karrl, as they felt their wounds being restored and their magic being replenished.
Action: Ancient Guardian restored Karrl and Luna to full health!
"You may now proceed through my doors."
The door that previously held the rubies opened as a wave of heat fell into the room. It was a long corridor with torches that seem to never end.
As the Ruby Karrls shattered from the attacks of the two warriors Karrl and Luna stepped back and stood in silence as the battle was over. The ferocity of the attacks had left Karrl a little out of breath, and, as he realised from looking at Luna, the attacks did the same thing to his wolven companion.
When he had caught his breath, which did not take that long, she sheathed his short sabres and cracked his neck in a swift side to side motion before cracking his knuckles, one at a time, before all at once. Looking down at Luna once more he saw that she was sitting down scratching behind her ear.
Suddenly the voice boomed once more. Karrl body was facing to the side of the door, so, he turned his head slightly and listened. Luna continued to sit there but tilted her head slightly and, seemingly so, listened. So, there were more trials, no big surprise, but, in all honesty the only thing the last battle tried was his patients.
The flames suddenly washed over them, but, surprising so, the flames did not hurt; in fact it seemed to be renewing. When the flames were gone it felt like he was fully healed, and, to Karrl’s surprise, he had been hurt a little more than he originally thought when fighting the Ruby Clones.
He then noticed the doors had opened, but, that soon left his attention when he saw a small glowing object on the floor. He looked down and it took a few seconds to realise what it was, it was an intact remaining piece of one of the Ruby Clones. He stood there for a second or two before bending over and picking it up. He inspected it for a second or two before putting it into his pouch.
Looking around for a second or two he noticed Luna had already passed through the door, had stopped and was looking at him with a slightly tilted head. Karrl smiled for a second before signalling with his head to go on. With that Luna walked on and was closely followed by Karrl making their way onwards onto their new test.
((Good job. No more hints from now on... Hehe...))
The hallway of candles glows dimmer and dimmer until both Karrl and Luna are in complete darkness. However, the ruby Karrl picked up now glows, and soon fills the whole floor with a red light.
Upon regaining sight, there seems to be no monsters on the floor. Everything is still, but a series of pathways are open. There is one that goes straight and one that goes right, but both are blocked by walls of fire. The only option is to go left.
As Karrl and Luna made their way through the corridors, it seemed that the light around them was getting less and less. Soon, they were in total darkness, however, he felt a strange pulsing from his pouch and looked down to see it glowing red. He looked at Luna, who seemed to be looking at the same thing before she looked at Karrl as well, in a silent conversation Karrl decided to open to pouch and see what was happening, it was the ruby they picked up before. He retrieved it from the leather holding item and held it up, filling the room with a red glow.
When there was light again they continued onwards. So far, after they had walked through the doors and their fight with the Ruby Clone, things seemed to be uneventful. There had been no fiends making their presence know which he did not like. It was not the fact he was not fighting, but, the fact it was, so peaceful, in such a place. Looking around he made damn sure there was nothing around them, using all five of his keen senses to track any sounds, smells or sights that could be picked up.
Making their way further in Karrl noticed a second source of light coming from in front of them. He stopped for a moment gripping hold of one of his short sabres, before making his way further into the tower and down the corridor. When he reached the source of light it was two sets of fires, blocking what seem to be paths. He then noticed a third path turning to the left. However he did not like it, it seemed that he was being shepherded somewhere, and he did not like that feeling. Never the less, he knew, if he wanted to go forwards, he would have to take that path, and so, he did.
As Karrl and Luna walked down the left hallway, it quickly reached two levels. One was etched with the symbol for a spear and shield, and the other with what seemed like a mirror although they both were etched in red.
"The choices you make now will determine which path you take, and what challenges you will face. Although making the right choices will grant you with rewards, making the wrong ones will have you face a guardian."
The strange voice boomed again, almost warning the couple.
"Before you are two levers. You may choose a lever after you hear my riddle."
There was a short pause, and then the two levers lit up, both with a brilliant ruby glow.
"The one you must bring down to earth came from the sea, shining bright with a golden glow and hair wild and free. An object of beauty, love, and lust is what I represent. Choose the right lever or otherwise, your doom shall be met."
The voice died down, and the two symbols were glowing. Karrl had the choice of choosing the spear and shield or the mirror, and by the voice, it seemed really threatening if he chose wrong.

Walking down the hallway Karrl noticed it was way too quiet for his liking. There was nothing going on. He expected some kind of fight against a beasty or one of those next challenges he was warned about. Never the less he took the time to plan what he was going to do, making mental notes of what he had in his inventory.
Sudden he reached what seemed to be the end of the hallway he was met by two levers. One of them seemed to have a spear and a shield on them, and the other seemed to have some kind of mirror etched in red on the handle. It seemed that he may have just walked into his next challenge, but something told him it was not going to be as easy as the last one.
The next thing he knew was another booming voice came and it said that Karrl could pull one of the levers, after he had heard a riddle, assumedly to tell him the right one. Great, Karrl did not like riddle. Ok, Karrl had a brain in his head, but he was never that good with this kind of thing, but, never the less he knew he would have to work it out, if he was to progress.
As soon as the riddle was finished he started to think. He stood there tapping his foot and resting his cupped hand under his chin. He turned his head to the side slightly and looked at Luna, “Any chance you got any ideas Luna.” Luna met him with a tilted head. Karrl smiled, “Thought not.” And with that he went back to thinking.
Suddenly it struck him, ok, he was not dead certain it was the right one, but the phrase, symbol of love, beauty and lust sort of struck home, plus he read somewhere glass came from sand, which is from the sea. He smiled slightly before slowly reaching for the lever with the mirror on it. He hovered his hand over it for a second, “Well, here goes nothing.” So, with that he pulled the lever with the mirror etched into the handle down.
As he pulled the lever with the mirror down, the noise similar to a bell started to echo. As the level was pulled, the light from both levers disappeared. There was silence for a while before the booming voice came about once more.
"You may continue on."
Upon the last echo of the voice, a small block in the wall opened up, containing a hand-held mirror. However, back to where Karrl and Luna first turned towards that hall, the hallway that went straight forward's wall of fire was gone, as it seemed that correlating each lever with a wall would be appropriate. The walls still had torches with bright fire, although the rest of the place seemed dark.
Upon going forward into the new hallway, a door would appear. The door was red and had small markings, along with a slot to hold something small and perhaps crystalline. Behind the door, a growl of some sorts seemed to emanate from it, but it doesn't seem to threatening... Or does it?
Karrl looked up when the voice boomed. He smiled slightly when it said he was able to continue. He was a little proud of himself. The fact was Karrl was a bright guy, nowhere near genius level, but bright. However, he had never really been that good a riddles. So, to get one right made him proud of himself.
Suddenly he felt something pushing against his leg. He looked down and saw Luna trying to get his attention. He smiled at her but then saw a hand held mirror in between his jaws. He smiled and knelt down to take it. He held out his hand and Luna dropped the mirror into his hand. Standing up he placed it on his belt before looking around.
He was looking for where to go next, and, since there seemed to be no other way than the way back he figured that must be the way. So, with that in mind he headed back to where he had come from. He moved quickly since he wanted to get through this. He figured, as he remembered that there were three hallways, that he would have three tests, so, he wanted to complete them quickly.
When he got to the end of the hallway he saw that the middle one had the fire extinguished. He did not need to think about it to figure out that he was meant to go down that one that time around. So, making his way down the dimly light hallways, with Luna, he set on his way to the second test. He was not sure what it was going to be, but he had a feeling it would be harder than the last one.
Making quick work of the hallway he saw a big red door. He inspected it to see if there was anything strange about it. It seemed that it was made of a red crystal, or so Karrl assumed. As he went to open it, or try to, he heard a growl. He looked at Luna for a second or two who was looking at him with a tilted head. They looked at each other for a little bit before Karrl attempted to open the door once more.
The door would not budge, but the growling got louder and louder. The noise echoed through the halls and the pathways of the floor, as if it was emanating from every wall of it. The door shook slightly, but nothing really exciting happened after that. The shaking died down after a bit, and the door stood still. Everything was still and silent.
However, the gem that Karrl and Luna managed to pick up originally started to radiate that same red light as it did before. Not only that, but it seemed to get brighter as it got closer to the door.
Upon further inspection of the door, some magic flow seemed to go towards that small slot. It was almost beckoning something to fit within itself, and the magic couldn't flow more intensely than in that one spot. Perhaps something could stop the flow? Something glowing and red?
As Karrl tried to figure out how to get through the door he felt a nudge against his leg. He looked down and saw Luna looking at something, his pouch. He looked at the pouch also and saw that there was a red glow coming from it. It seemed that the ruby was also trying to tell him something.
Thinking on it, he took out the ruby and thought for some time before he noticed the slot in the door. He put them gem near the door, and, it seemed, that the closer the ruby got to the door the brighter it shined.
It suddenly struck him, how could he have been so dense? So, after slapping his forehead with his free hand he looked at Luna giving her a nod before attempting to slot the ruby into the slot in the door. As he suspected it went in with ease. He smiled a bit before he once again attempted to open the door.
The door opened with ease, as the shining red light permeated through the dark corridor and revealed a set of stairs. The stairs led up to the next floor of the tower. Upon entering it, a wave of frosty air fell down upon the duo, hinting as to what kind of obstacles lie ahead.
"You have chosen the correct path. You may proceed."
The voice boomed as it felt as frosty as the air that surrounded the wolf and man. The stairs were slippery, and if not proceeded with caution, it could cause a broken jaw or a chipped tooth.
Upon reaching the top of the stairs revealed a crystalline cavern-esque room with crystals as blue as the sky yet as cold as the heart of Shiva. Light permeated through as bright as the stars, showing every falling snowflake. Looking up, the sky seemed endless, with falling snow at every corner. The room that they entered had three pieces of equipment: a pickaxe, snowboots for the duo (two for Karrl, four for Luna), and a bottle full of blue liquid. Each was on a pedestal and was covered in a thin layer of snow.
"You may pick one."
The voice made itself clear: Karrl and Luna must decide what will be most useful to them in this cavern of ice and snow, even though there may be consequences.
As the door opened Karrl felt the coldness of the wind coming from the icy staircase. He looked at Luna and gave her a quick nod before pulling out the ruby and placing it in his pouch. As he stood there he cling to a strange primal looking pendant around his neck before he muttered, “Canis, guide my steps.”
With that he let go of the pendant and made his way, carefully up the staircase, making sure both Luna, and himself, made it up without incident. The staircase, if at all possible, was even more treacherous than he had thought it would be.
When he, and Luna had made it up the stairs of ice, he looked around and thought about what it could mean. He took notice of the sky which seemed to go on forever, and the surroundings, including the three items on the other side of the cavern.
Making his way forward he stopped as he heard a voice telling him he could only pick one. He knew he would have to chose wisely, if he wanted to make it past the next area, so, for a while, he looked at the three items. He wanted to instantly go for the pickaxe, but, he knew he should not be hasty.
Thinking on the matter he knew the pickaxe and the snow boots would both be useful, but, he was still unsure. This tower was testing him, and he knew, sometimes, the obvious answer is not always the correct or most prudent one.
Finally making up his mind he picked up the bottle of blue liquid and placed it in his pouch. He then looked up at the sky and took in the smells around him, his keen senses helping him do so. At that point in time, he was waiting for the command to go forward.
The air in the room was cold and dry, and seemed to have a biting wind throughout. Karrl almost chose the pickaxe, yet chose the liquid instead, seeing as it may be of some significance. Upon taking it from the pedestal, the pickaxe and the snow boots crystalized and turned into ice itself, as if it were just an illusion.
"You have chosen."
The voice boomed in the icy cavern once more, echoing through the room over and over. It got to the point where it was so loud that the ice on one side of the cavern shattered into many pieces, opening up another passage way. Then, everything fell silent for a few moments. There was no boom, nor the crystals chiming upon hitting the frozen ground. Then, out of nowhere, three frozen flans fell from the ceiling and ambushed the couple.
ENCOUNTER!!! 3 Blue Flans.

Karrl looked up at the booming voice, trying to hide the fact his eardrums had just taken a beating. The nature of the voice would been too loud for most people, but Karrl’s ability when it came to his sense of hearing was heightened, so, it was even worse off for him.
When the new passage way came into light he turned and was about the walk towards it when the three flans fell from the cavern floor. He drew his blades and took a stance with Luna already standing at his side ready for battle. He knew it might be a tough one, since, according to his studies, flans were more susceptible to magic than physical attacks.
As the flans bombarded Karrl he staggered back a couple of steps from the ice magic. Lucky for Karrl he had a good resistance when it came to being smacked about my magic, something he trained himself in for when he had to face the coven once again.
After the ice magic assault was over he looked at Luna and smiled, “Do your thing darlin’” With that Luna let out a massive howl and then an almighty roar. Once the mixture of sounds was over she charge in and leapt over them biting into one of the flans as she did so before landing gracefully behind them.
A few seconds after Luna had launched herself so did Karrl. As he moved in, in his typical zigzag motion he judged it so he was dead in the centre of the three of them. When he got close enough he erupted into a kick which made him look like a hurricane of red, black and silver kicking each flan upside the head three times before landing into a ready position.

The three flans erupted in a cold jelly-like substance as the duo assaulted and decimated their squishy foes. However, the worst has not yet come to these two...
As Karrl roundhoused the flans, they each let out shrieks of horror and suffering, which echoed through the cavern of ice. The flans' remains lay all around Karrl in a blue-gel substance, which almost looked like jelly. Upon finishing their foes, the final shrieks of the jelly creatures finally echoed through the cavern. The cavern continued to snow, and the wind still biting as the duo had a small chance to recover. Because, the king flan has not yet arrived. He heard the shrieks of his children, whom have not survived the counter attack. The king flan's groan mumbled through the cavern as the blue bottle Karrl took started to glow and vibrate. The liquid within it almost started to boil as it violently shook, as if something within it was trying to escape. It shook so violently it crawled its way out of Karrl's possession and shattered, revealing a small flan, but instead of a cute squishy one, it was volatile and ready to attack. It waited for it's father to arrive as he stalled the duo for time.
Upon the summoning of the flan, the king flan emerged soon after. It fell down from in front of the two, inhaling before casting it's Blizzard Breath spell upon them, but not before the volatile flan sprung forward and exploded, releasing a corrosive blue liquid that hurt the party's defenses.

Due to his quick reaction time Karrl managed to sheathe his blades and start to chant in time for the incoming attack. As he clamped his hands together and chanted his body started to glow. When the white light around him was at the right intensity he opened his eyes and moved like a white blur dancing between the explosions. When he stopped, he could not quite muster up enough energy to do it again to dodge the icy attack and was knocked back a few inches.
However, Luna was not so lucky, both the explosion and the blizzard attack struck her. With the force of it she was sent flying backwards with a whelp as she did so. She slowly got up to her feet, hurt, but not badly enough to impede her ability to fight. She yet again let out a massive roar before charging in and snapping at the King Flan a couple of times.
When Karrl had seen Luna get her something snapped in him and he looked at the King Flan, his eyes, which were red, turned silver. He let out a massive beastial roar and, as he did his body started to glow again, but, not white that time, it was red, pure red, like the colour of blood. The rage he felt for the flan was radiating from him as he charged in with great speed and slashed furiously at it with his twin blades.

The King Flan jiggled whenever Karrl or Luna attacked it. No status effecting efforts seemed to punish the Flan, as it's seemed to not be affected by any form of status magic. However, seeing as physical attacks were rather useless to the Flan, perhaps the team should use magic.
However, the Flan was not done with the team. The King started to charge. It's body started to emit a bright blue light, as if getting ready for a powerful attack.
Action: King Blue Flan used Charge! It's charging for power!
Karrl’s eye began to focus again, seeing, even with all of his might, he did not do any damage to the creature, the same with Luna. He knew, even though he did not like it, he would have to perform magic. He looked at Luna and nodded for her to take a step back, and, seeing the nod, she did.
When he was in place he closed his eyes and began to chant, his blades now sheathed. As he began to chant he started to glow, but, it was not white, over even red, it was black, his skin seemed to radiate an onyx like colour.
After a short amount of chanting and glowing he opened his eyes, “Taste my darkness fiend.” With that he shot his hand out and a small dark blast shot from his hand. However, he was not done yet he pulled back that hand and shot out another small blast from his other hand.
