OOC: I realised that this event would coincie with Adiona passing through Luca on her way to get to Mi'hen temple so I'm setting the two as one. All those with Blitzball tickets obtained from the Sin event get VIP booths.
Finally, all the teams were arriving from around the world. The Besaid Aurochs. All time losers. The Kilka Beasts, fiery passionate players. The Luca Goers the home team hunks. The Al Bhed Physcs, a team of the hated Al Bhed People. The Ronso Furies. The furry Ronso team.In the end it all came down to one thing. Blitzball season was starting. And everyone in Spira was in a mass hysteria of celebration. The sphere companies were interviewing the players. But just after that came a Luca Wide message...that the Grand Maester was arriving at the docks. Everyone rushed over to greet the weathered old man. The leader of Spira. He raised his arms and addressed the crowd.
" My children....in this time we must not forget those who have died.....but in this celebration and game.....we might remember the strength of their souls....and know that their faith has been rewarded in the farplane....".
There was silence as he soke of the dead, it seemed the for now the hysterics and partying had stopped. It was errie. But the old man spoke again. "... Sin came against this city....but the faith of its believers drove Sin away!.....come and join the festivities!......". There was a cheering roar as everyone returned to preperations. It seemed that Maester Mika had used the driving of Sin away as a political tool. Then again. All leaders were the same. He would of course fail to mention that for the most part it was outsiders and non yevonites who had taken part in driving Sin back.
There was a hooded figure in the crowd. Watching Mika with an assassins eyes. Yet he wandered away back towards the docks with nothing said. He cast aside his cloak and made his way into a boat. Entering a room, and looking at his Summoner.
" Adiona...do you wish to stay for the games....or will we move on?....".
W ithin one of the ships, there was a demon, one who had traveled from the land of ruins, Zanarkand, where he had been brought to this world meaning that he was born in the demonic world that had no name, he was a member of the Harou family who worked under a demon lord meaning he was a peasant in the demon's lands but here he was something more. He had made a long journey from the land of the dead to the isle of Besaid, he had met many people along the way those who helped him were within Miumi's heart as he lay there with his eyes closed, the boy seemed at peace for once within his hellish life. While images of the woman Celeste popped through his head, that woman had seen him at his worst and could of left him to die, but she chose to help the boy she saw within the snow despite knowing he was a Lucavi. While since then and now he had begun to hide his demonic features less, since he had done something that changed some of the world's view of him. As then the images of Sonzai popped through his head, he had let Miumi use the bangle that had saved his life, as he had been bleeding severely and at one point was coughing up blood. Then there was Ignis, the man who had saved him from his peril within the lightning planes. He would of died in mere minutes had the other not saved him.
Then the images of their battles with the fiends, flashed through his eyes. It seemed that Miumi was dreaming pretty heavily. Then there was his day within the city of the Guado. There had been that one man who had greyish skin the name still stuck within his mind there was that man named Draco. He had been so strange but the two were so close together it was hard to deny that they should of been brothers. While when he arrived at Kilika he remembered seeing Sonzai. It was then he had remembered seeing that wicked man Kefka, and even he had seen Ignis there as well their ships had been close to one another. Then the bright flashes of light he remembered standing up against the man known as Exdeath, he had brought that massive dog against Miumi but still they had failed to kill the boy. Then brief flashes of Kefka's sickened face, the clown had thought Miumi was a toy to be played with Miumi was more then he looked and then there was flashes of Clive, one of his first friends one who was like him... except more perverted. Then there was Bay who had helped Miumi become what he was today. He had helped Miumi go through the isle of Besaid under the light of moonlight. He had protected him and even cared for him. So what if they weren't always perfect friends Miumi will hold him above all and has even showed that he is willing to put his own life on the line.

While a few of those same people had accompanied him into the Kilika cloister of trials, none of them had figured out yet wither Miumi had failed or succeeded as he didn't display his power. But Bay had witnessed Miumi summoning Valefore to calm the villagers before and from that was all that he really needed. As slowly the boat came to a stop and the sound of the Besaid Aurochs moving around would awaken Miumi as one pounded gently on his door. He slowly opened his eyes as he did, he was starring at a wooden ceiling as one of the men walked in and waved at Miumi. He smiled and nodded his head and the man closed his door. He seemed relaxed as he stood up and walked over locking the door. He had to dress up for the more formal event. Of course his attire wouldn't change to drastically he was used to his normal clothing had a few different sets. As he just smiled gently as the door was locked and he walked in front of a small mirror. As he stood there he began to brush his hair with a small brush he carried, it was made of ivory. As he did slowly his hair went from wavy to straight. While he reached down feeling his back there was a new branding on his shoulder when he had made that contract with Belzerra it had changed his body slightly. As he traced that tattoo.
A sharp knock came on his door it was one of the Aurochs, a few of them were waiting for the summoner as he had spent a small bit of the trip talking to them. He remembered just having Ayamu go over and open the door and say just a few more minutes. While this occured. Miumi took off that tight black shirt and the leather vest, they were smelling a little different he had to change the attire throwing them on the ground until he stood in nothing but a pair of what some would say were underwear. Walking over to his bag he pulled out a pair of tights, sliding them on his legs, they had some designs on the legs, there were tear drops and almost runic designs of water. As he stood there in purely tights. He reached down in pulling out a black-shirt it was tight. Sliding it over his slender body. As he did so he grabbed another vest it was the only other one Miumi had it was the same in design but it had cherry blossoms going from his right shoulder to his left hip. As he reached down he grabbed his pendent sliding it around his neck he was looking more and more regal in appearance. As he stood there he reached down grabbing an intricate looking chain link belt and his leather skirt appendage which had the rose petals falling downwards from his left hip to his right ankle. Another knock came.
"I'm almost ready, just wait on the deck for me." "
W hen Miumi spoke there was a gentleness in his voice that many others lacked as he just stood there slowly reaching into his bag. He grabbed his sandals and his bangles. Sliding his bangles along his arms so they would jingle slightly when he walked, this looked all to innocent to be a demon but those wolven features were there as his ears twitched. As he sat down on the bed sliding his shoes on they were intricate looking, as he did the leather bindings up and down his legs and adjusted the leather strap that went between his big toe and the rest of them. As Miumi rose upwards he would wooble slightly as he began to walk towards the door his stuff in a small satchel which he picked up and slung over his shoulder. While Ayamu jumped up ontoh is back resting on his shoulder. As one of the ship's crewmen knocked on his door. The boy pulled the door open and had to step back to avoid being tapped in the face. As the man stared at Miumi he smiled gently giving a look of approval. As Miumi walked up the stairs gently. He smiled as the Aurochs were turning to look. They were a nice group but they were horrible at their game. As they lowered the plank to the ground Miumi walked down he was followed by the various Aurouchs, who some were greeted by taunts from the other teams. Part of Miumi felt sickened by this treatment.
Soon a crowd began to run by not many bothered to look at Miumi, as he followed them, he had heard the message a meister was coming here. As he walked gently along the path being followed by the team and some children. As he got to the rest of the crowd. He pushed off the ground propelling himself upwards onto the nearest crate. While many of them stared at Miumi as he sat down and watched the speech the other made as well as the crowd. He saw a few people who looked strange but nothing that stuck out like a sore thumb. The man then just raised his hands the crowd grew silent for a moment and soon the man began to speak of the souls who had died during the attack on Kilika. A bit of pain radiated within his soul as he remembered seeing some of those men die before him. They had died to protect both him and one another. He watched as many of the crowd seemed to bow their head in respect except one man, he had a hood on and he watched that man carefully he just seemed to be starring at something. Soon the ancient fossil before Miumi began to open his lips and speak again. He spoke of the attack on Kilika that way that their Fayth had driven away the massive beast. For a moment Miumi nodded his head before the thoughts crossed his head. That was the biggest load of bullshit he had ever heard.
Yet he did nothing, he just sat there in silence, this man was cunning for someone one so old, using these words he planned to win some of them over. But he had just lied. As the other took a brighter tone and many of the people began to go back to their tasks and slowly Miumi rose from his crouched position pushing off the ground and sending himself down into the crowd below. He watched as the cloaked man began to walk he just simply smiled. He obviously didn't have a grudge against this ancient powerful man. Many of Miumi's guardians had skattered through out the city many of them were probably enjoying the festivities. He didn't want them to feel as if it was their job to always watch him. They needed their freedom as well. Just like Miumi needed his peace and serenity at times. But nothing was said. As Miumi walked down through the shops finding some interesting clothing and those people who stared. Some of them had heard the rumors of the Lucavi summoner who had but a bear as his companion and many of them showed some respect. It felt nice to know that he wasn't as hated as he bought a few more articles of clothing and some candy. He placed the gil in the shop keepers hand and placed many of the objects within Ayamu who bloated slightly but said nothing.
As Miumi walked into the stadium he watched the way that some of the things that were happening it was beautiful to see but soon he went back out of the Stadium reaching into Ayamu he looked at his ticket that he had been given. He just smiled this was going to be a good day and he silently asked himself something but apparently it was outloud.
"I wonder where my friends are?"
W hile he said that Ayamu seemed to smile and look at Miumi the boy was getting used to not having been isolated as much.
"Mi'lord they are fine, they know we have to meet up later. "

The Grand Maester’s words washed over the crowd, creating a wave of cheers throughout it. Though there was at least one member of the crowd that remained silent. Rufus was at the back of the group, standing atop a railing on the edge of the dock. Looking out over the heads of the Yevonites, Rufus watched the old man.
Rufus had not yet received any form of welcoming words from any Yevon official. The Maester Seymour addressed the group who aided in fighting off Sin, but that was just a generalized speech, nothing was said to Rufus specifically.
Seymour acted as if he hadn’t even recognized Rufus, and in all honesty, he might not have. This fact alone didn’t bother Rufus much, because frankly he didn’t care much for Seymour, and if Seymour looked less like he did, and more like a normal member of society, Rufus likely wouldn’t recognize him either. However, Rufus was not here for vacation. He had business to attend to, and Seymour ignoring him like that was rather inconvenient to Rufus.
It was almost as if no one had informed the Spiran government that Rufus would be making a visit. Rufus frowned and pulled out his cell phone, he was going to call into headquarters and make sure. He glanced down at the shiny screen. No service. Fantastic. Rufus sighed, it wasn’t as if he could be able to speak over this crowd anyway. He looked up from the sleek device and noticed that he was attracting attention to himself. Looking around he noticed two or three members of the crowd around him were staring at him, their eyes on his phone. With another annoyed sigh, Rufus slipped his phone away once more. He would have to be careful not to attract unwanted attention before he gotten the chance to accomplish what it was he came here to do.
So it would seem that none of the Yevon officials even knew he was here. No matter, he had been given a VIP ticket to the Blitzball opening season game. All of the Maesters would be in the VIP box. Rufus could just talk to Mika in there. It may actually be better that way, it’d help to put the Grand Maester at ease. He’d greet the Grand Maester. Be merry, friendly, act nice, make some small talk. Rufus would use the high spirits of the game to his advantage.
Rufus was optimistic, and as the Grand Measter’s speech ended, it seemed that everyone else was too, hopeful for their favored teams. The crowd began to disperse. Rufus stood on the railing for a moment longer, watching Mika. Once the Yevon leader disappeared onto his ship once more (most likely to prepare another speech to be delivered after the game), Rufus stepped off the railing and walked through the crowd back toward the stadium building. The stadium building was quite large, filled with thousands of fans, banners of the teams and their logos hung from the walls. Finding his men in the crowd was an easy task for Rufus, seeing as everyone else in the stadium was giving them a wide girth due to their high tech weapons. Machina. It was the source of much hatred among Spirans, and according to their religion the source of Sin itself.
However, after a full millennia, Rufus was sure that all of Spira was desperate for protection, regardless of whether or not that protection came from machines. And that was exactly what Rufus was offering. Peaceful lives, in exchange for letting the ShinRa Corporation harness the energy of the land. Apparently there was a big hubbub in the science department about the possible energy stores within “pyrflies”… whatever the hell those were. All that Rufus was concerned with was the fact that it’d vastly increase the ShinRa Corporation’s power, his power.
He glanced down to his men when he arrived. None of his Turks had come this time around, due to the company not wanting to pay their travel expenses… so instead Rufus was being personally guarded by a dozen grunts, with one or two SOLDIER members added to the mix. He wasn’t too happy about it, but for once in his life, he couldn’t complain. He was the one who wanted to go on this trip, after all. He nodded to the group and walked off, up the stairs to the VIP box. His guards weren’t needed, Rufus had yet to be recognized at all, it was unlikely anyone was planning an assassination. He reached the top box and took a seat, awaiting the arrival of the other VIP’s, more specifically, the Measters.
W ithin a store the sound of laughter could be heard from Miumi he seemed so innocent as he laughed and giggled with one of the women behind the counter. As she handed him a small card it was just blank except for a small number it was his number among the VIP stands. He smiled and pocketed the paper and began to smile as he walked around the giant place known as Luca. As some of the Al'bhed stared at him he just smiled back he seemed so oblivious to the looks of hatred that shown towards him. As he walked a few of the people pointed and spoke of him being the demonic summoner, that look was to him to deny. As he smiled and blushed this boy was the first Lucavi summoner, he had manage to claim Valefor. As a few children walked up to him they smiled and pointed at him and held out a blitzball as if a gesture if he'd play with them. He smiled and nodded his head. As he picked up the ball he would throw it into the air and as it came down he slammed his hand down onto it sending it into the ground it seemed to bend almost like it was rubber before it shot off. The children and he went after it. Those who were just entering the stand could see the small boy he seemed so innocent but that face hid the mask of a killer. Also if he was a summoner where were his guardians. There were two he knew of for sure had been at the battle but where they were was a mystery.
As parents came by gathering their children starring at the demonic children a few look hesitant and the smiles they gave were strained. He just smiled back and walked off into the stands. When he headed towards the VIP. A few of those fake smiles went into frowns he had fought against sin. They had just acted so ignorant. But he showed no sign of showing he even knew what happened. As he walked among the stairs he saw a small blond man wearing purely white. He just smiled softly as he pushed off the ground landing on one of the seats. He pushed off again and this time that man would just see a flash of mostly black with pale thrown in. When that blur became a figure Miumi was standing there next to his chair. He may of had the meister but Miumi was along his other side. As the boy stood there and flashed a smile he looked at the stage with an amazement. For a moment he was silent but then that child like laughter filled the air. As the ticket he held was pulled out. The seat number and the ticket matched each other and it appeared that mean this boy had been in the battle with Sin or was a very important figure. EH was both he was the first Lucavi summoner.
After everything that had happened to Ignis over the last few months he had felt as though he deserved a break, after the battle with Sin the original owner of this boat had run off, leaving it with Ignis, claiming that he was being punished for his use of the machina engine the boat ran off, a stupid notion by Ignis' mind, but he was not about to complain, at least now he had a free mode of transport, until the thing ran out of fuel, however, then he would be forced to start walking again, yet for the time being, a small amount of peace and relaxation was just what Ignis needed.
"Yup. This'd be almost perfect, just gotta worry 'bout Sin." He said to himself calmly, guitar in hand as he sat on the chair at the back of the boat, sitting with his feet resting against the railing. He had no idea where he was exactly right now, he had turned the engine off and had let himself drift for a few days, just letting himself get lost in the tranquility, playing some random note on his guitar. It had only been in the last hour or so in which he had turned the engine back on and was now stood, on the front of the small boat, playing heavy music on his guitar and simply enjoying every second he could. In all honesty he was quite looking forward to seeing some Blitzball in person, he had always liked the look of the sport, it did seem exciting, however, his time spent previously would not allow him to enjoy such frivolities.
"Now that I look. I'm much happier here." He muttered to himself happily, continuing the stream of heavy music. Some time passed as the boat sped forward, Ignis at its front, simply playing his guitar as heavily as he possibly could. He city loomed in the distance and Ignis could only pick up the tempo. His excitement building.
"Yeah babeh! Luca as freakin' planned!" He called out over the sound of his guitar, the speed of the boat decreased gradually until eventually it came to a stop at the docks, which was an amazing coincidence, yet, Ignis was still sat on the front of the boat finishing off the solo he had been playing on his guitar, a wave of fire and it was gone, a forward flip off of the boat and onto the ground, and there he was standing as if triumphant in the docks of Luca.
"YEAH! Ten outta ten guys! Who's with me!?" He trailed off right there, noticing the stern looks from the small group of people that had been chancing a pass by, Ignis had to think for a moment before the term came to him. Maesters! Ignis' expression dropped.
"Ah, shit." He muttered, these guys were under the teachings of Yevon, following them obediently, the use of Machina was definitely not a good way to begin any sort of relationship with them, even if he had been a part of the force that had driven off Sin during their time of need.He mumbled an apology and then hurried off, eager to put some distance between himself and the Maesters. The city of Luca was relatively large and Ignis did get lost on his way to the dome, more than once he was ashamed to add.
"But damn. If this ain't the central hub for excitement." He muttered to himself, feeling the very up beat spirits of the people here, although he figured that it would have something to do with the up coming Blitzball tournament it was a nice change from all the doom and gloom Spira was constantly going through, it was nice to see other people actually enjoying themselves.
After getting directions for the third time Ignis finally found himself at the star attraction, he placed a hand into the pocket of his coat, fishing out the VIP ticket he had been given for defending Luca from Sin. Another short trip. After getting some more directions and he was at the entrance to the hallway leading to his seat.
"There ya are dude." There was a moment of confusion as the guard shot Ignis a confused look and then seemed to check the ticket, just to make sure it was actually valid. He rolled his eye as the guard handed the ticket back and allowed him access, he waited until the door was closed before allowing himself to say something.
"C'mon, surely I don't look like the kinda' guy to forge fake tickets." He paused, taking into consideration what it was he was wearing and then rolled his eye again. Of course it probably was not a wise idea to continue wearing what had become known as their "uniform" but he liked this coat, he was not about to simply throw it away.
"Hot DAYM." Was all Ignis could say as he entered the VIP seating area, the area itself was comfortable, and the view was excellent, well, at least he was going to be enjoying his very first Blitzball game in style. He looked around the area, it was still relatively empty except for some guy and.
"DUDE!" Ignis said louder than intended.
"Well, small world ain't it bud." He said calmly, he had long since agreed to become Muimi's guardian, however, he had merely been waiting for a better opportunity, after all, at the time when he had first met the guy, he was still having some trouble with his memories.
Rufus sat, awaiting the arrival of the other Very Important Persons. He wasn’t waiting long before someone arrived. Rufus tensioned. A Lucavi. The leader of the Galbadian army was a Lucavi. The Demon General had already knocked out a big margin of the ShinRa troops, and was without a doubt the biggest weapon Galbadia had against them. The Sorceress herself was like a fly compared to this demon man. What connection did this creature have with the purple one? Should he call up his men from down below?
Rufus watched closely as the boy walked to his seat, not far away from Rufus’ own. Rufus slipped a hand into his white coat and grunted in acknowledgement of what the boy said about the view. Under his coat, his hands played with the grip on his shotgun, readying himself should the demon try something.
Talking about the view? Small talk? Seriously? Rufus’ eyes narrowed. He was the Vice President of the largest military country on the planet, and yet he went on unrecognized. Even in the nation’s brightest moment, the Blitzball Season’s opening game, it was still overly apparent just how much of a grasp Sin had on the people. It was detrimental to their education, economy, and foreign affairs. The nation was just barely hanging in as it was. Seeing how much the nation was in need of aid only boosted Rufus’ resolve. Perhaps Spira and Midgar could form a sort of alliance. They needed economic and military help, and Rufus needed land and military help. Together, both countries could prosper.
Rufus fidgeted in his seat, uncomfortable silence filling the box. He wished that someone else would appear and relieve him of this awkwardness. The sooner the VIP box filled up the better. No sooner had Rufus thought it than another man entered through the stairwell. At firs Rufus took this as a great relief, and when he saw recognition dawn upon the man’s face, Rufus couldn’t help but smile. Finally, at least there was someone in this godforsaken country who knew who he was. But it seemed Rufus thought too soon, as the man ran over to sit next to the demon boy. Rufus let out a small sigh, and continued his fidgeting. He was going to be waiting a while it seemed. Curse his punctuality.

((sorry for the short post... I normally wouldn't post at all right here... but I was bored. XD ))
Sonzai had been waiting for days after he had received his VIP ticket. He had already sat down on his Little VIP seat inside the stadium. The whole place was roaring of excitement and anticipation.
Just like a little kid; Sonzai was at the edge of his seat waiting for everything to unfold in font of him.
Looking up he saw a large water sphere floating in the field. It was as if a gigantic watera spell had been casted on the field, and it most probably was. Looking to his sides; he saw some familiar faces of the people who has been there fighting Sin alongside with him on different boats. Especially Miumi; the boy whose powers were well beyond what he had seen.
He looked at the slender boy with a smile on hi face, and then turned back to look at the field and wait for everything to simply start.
He had wished he could have helped Miumi a lot more during the sin attack; had he known that he would show up he'd juts have mounted the same boat as him. However; he had seen the amount of damage that he had dealt the Kraken back then. He had simply become the guardian of a fearsome entity.
Sonzai closed his eyes and smiled once more. This was the first time ever he had seen a blitzball game from inside the stadium, and he would have never imagined that he'd also be able to be in the VIP seat also. What luck was this break for him. This had turned out to be a truly rewarding adventure.
The day looked perfect for Sonzai now. Looking at how everything was going on this day he had himself convinced that nothing bad would take place this day.

ooc: DOn't worry rufus mine is shorter. I have no idea on what to write here. But if i put myself down i'll probably get something sooner or later.
The day was bright and full of cheer. The citizens of Spira were happy to be rid of the fearsome Sin, for another day. The sun beamed vibrantly off the waters as an extravagantly robed man with dark brown eyes and interesting blue hair stood at the side of the Grand Maester Mika, who was currently giving a speech regarding Sin's attack on Luca. Seymour played his part well, his emotions were flawless and his facial features changed appropriately with every word the Grand Maester spoke. To most, the past day or so had been a solemn one because of deaths of loved ones; however, Mika did well to put their hearts at ease by inspiring patriotism.
Once the Grand Maester finished his glorifying speech, he had stepped away to retreat to the interior of the boat. Seymour was quick to take his place and make an announcement and commendation of his own. As soon as he became the centre of attention, the crowds began to chant his name. They got increasingly louder, yet with a simple hand raise, indicating to stop, they did. He was loved among the people of Spira and truly inspirational. He was looked to as a hope for a better future and a great leader, though he always was humble and modest, never admitting to any praise or award immediately. Always being polite. This was his intention: to play the good guy, the hero. The one everyone loved and respected. Thus far, this image was working and it would until he deemed otherwise.
His voice boomed across the crowds and everyone waited upon his every word. ”Citizens of Spira. Friends. As the Grand Maester said, the recent defeat of Sin was mainly due to your unwavering and steadfast faith, and for that, I graciously commemorate you and you should all be proud and feel triumphant. However, there is a group of others that have aided in the defeat of Sin, as well, and I believe that today they deserve our cheers and applause. So please, join me and show your appreciation to these individuals who gave everything they had to overcome our greatest enemy and know that, all of us united, and with your undying faith, shall once and for all, defeat Sin!” His voice had risen in crescendo and his hands raised high. The crowd burst into thunderous applause and celebration.
Had he been any other person, mentioning the participation of others that were not Spira born may have caused some displeased reactions. Nevertheless, he was cherished by the innocent civilians and he got away with such a praise without any backlash.
As the crowd continued to roar with pride, Seymour withdrew from the centre stage and made his way off the boat. Now that the preparations carried on, setting up for the grand Blitzball event, Seymour made his way to the VIP box where he would meet the champions of Spira, for the day. Before he left the boat, he took a small procession with him as he began to weave through the crowds. As he past, many people smiled and bowed their heads, saying the formal, “Your Grace.” Being the humble leader, Seymour returned their smiles with a sincere one of his own as he advanced towards the stadium.
It did not take long for him to arrive at the VIP box, everyone got out of his way, not out of fear, but out of a deep respect. Prior to entering the VIP box, he dismissed his company and entered the luxurious room. Several people were already present and even though they were relatively early, Seymour said earnestly, ”Forgive me for my lateness.” He examined the faces of the party present. There were three altogether and none of which he had seen before. Or, perhaps, he had seen one. His eyes dwindled upon a rather powerful looking man who sat almost anxiously, trying his best not to interact with the two individuals that sat a few chairs down from him. There was something about him that stimulated some past memory, but Seymour could not put a finger on who this man was. Nonetheless, he addressed them all the same.
”Greetings, champions of Spira. I am Maester Seymour Guado. Allow me to say that your efforts and success over Sin was greatly appreciated and without individuals, such as yourself, Luca may not be standing, at the moment.” A genuine look of gratitude covered his face as he looked to all three beings present. ”Is there anything I can do for you while we wait for the game to begin?” His dark brown eyes moved from person to person as the acutely inspected each of them, though they did not appear threatening in the slightest, merely observing.
Post by Lady Summoner Adiona Duer on Dec 24, 2009 16:14:15 GMT
Getting up from the bed as Zero entered Adiona looked to him as she attached her summoner's stave to her back. He asked her is she wished to stay for the games, Blitzball didn't really interest her but a break from the pilgrimage may do her good. Smiling lightly Adiona placed a hand on Zero's shoulder as she slowly walked past him out of the room.
"I suppose it wouldn't hurt to stay and watch the games for a while, then we can move onto Djose temple."
Upon leaving the boat the sun hit her hard in the eyes causing her to cover them for a moment, grunting quietly she moved from the boat and out into Luca itself. The place was teeming with people from all over Spira, how annoying she had to push past them. Adiona didn't really want them to know she was a summoner then again it wasn't that hard to figure out, but it would be nice if they moved out of her way for a change. Suddenly her eyes fell upon him...Maester Seymour Guado. Such a short while ago Adiona had a place to situate herself by his side as his wife and slowly take control from him to rule all of Spira. The thought was tempting but....things had changed since she had formulated that plan.
He looked at AAdina, her condition had improved since they had left the temple of fire in Kilka, she hadn't fainted like the last timme. But all the same he'd noticed that she'd gotten weaker. He imagined that he was correct. That the food she had eaten before going into the chamber was enough to keep her energy up to fight against the fatigue that would wrack her body the moment the aeon had accepted her as its summoner. He kept a grim look even as she smiled pushing past him. Then again that was his demenier. He kept his hand on his sword as he moved out of the cabin, following Adiona out into the city. It'd been awhile since he'd been to Luca. It was almost a second capital of Spira. At least around this time of year it was far more busy than Bevelle.
He'd have to be on guard for both of them. The recent disappearances of summoners. As well as the attempt by the Al Bhed back in Besaid. Had not been forgotten. And yet he was sure that they had not forgotten how he brutally slaughtered those who had made the attempt. People were all heading into the stadium. It was time for the first match to begin. Or at least it would be soon. He was the one who carried the money, after all it was he who earned it through his various mercenary activities. If his summoner wished to make her appearance at a Blitzball game then he'd make sure that she got her way in. He took the front, people parted as they made their way through the crowd.
He found himself at the VIP's entrance. Deciding that there was nothing else that would suit a summoner. However, the guard was not so cooperative. " You need a ticket...". Zero didn't say anything, at least for a few seconds. His eyes shot around, not many witnesses. Not like it would matter. His clawed gauntlet rushed up, the blades around the mans neck, once squeeze and the veins and arteries in his neck would open up. The guard stuttered. " What do you think...your doing!?". Zero merely stared at him with cold eyes.
" Summoners...give their lives for Spira...and you do not think they are important?....".
The man began to stutter. But as he did Zero merely cut him off. " Shes going in....and you arn't going to say a thing...otherwise...you will die....no ifs...no buts....". He moved his bladed claws a centimeter closer. " Understood?...". The man nodded feverously. He let go and pushed the man aside.
[[ Adiona and Zero have gained access to the VIP area]]
He moved into the VIP box, noticing a few other people including the Maester. He kept his hand on his sword. And waited for Adiona to take a seat.

Adiona had to stop herself from giggling, it wasn't funny having to force their way in but seeing that guard scared was slightly amusing to her. Clearing her throat Adiona place a hand on Zero's shoulder moving closer to him, standing on her tip toes she whispered in his ear.
"I don't think that was quite so necessary Zero, we need to keep a lowish profile. I mean I don't want the other temples scorning us because of an incident."
Upon entering the VIP area Adiona's eyes flicked over a few empty chairs before she saw Maester Seymour. Quite nervous being in the close presence of someone of high importance, Adiona thought it wise to bow and make the sign of Yevon.
"Maester Seymour....may I sit in your presence while the games commence."
Ignis had taken a seat shortly after entering the VIP box, sitting back and getting comfortable he kept his eye on the large sphere hovering in the air, the sphere that would soon be at the center of everyone else's attention as well. That was of course until the VIP box began to get a larger crowd, the first one being a man of great importance, the Maester, Seymour. Ignis sat in silence as he spoke, keeping a careful eye on the Maester, he shrugged inwardly, even if that came to pass, it was not like it would have a huge effect on Ignis. He went to turn his attention back to the massive sphere, but once again his attention was caught by the arrival of two other people, his eye widened as a sharp pain shot through his head.
He kept it discreet as he placed a hand up to his forehead and lowered his head, closing his eye as he did so, he had felt this experience only a handful of other times, knowing exactly what it was Ignis altered his position to make it appear as though he had fallen asleep in his seat.
"Will he be a threat?"
"Perhaps, maybe we should keep an eye on him."
"You sure you're ready for this?"
"Yeah man, It hadta happen sometime."
Ignis came to his senses and almost instantly began coughing violently as he choked on his own saliva. An idiotic move to say the least, but at least that way it would seem as though he had just woken up from a deep sleep of some kind, or at least that was what he hoped it looked like.
"Zero." "Adiona." He said mentally to himself, trying in futility to stop himself from coughing. Drawing in a deep breath Ignis sat still for a second before coughing yet again, only this time, he was able to speak while this was happening.
"Sorry guys. Musta dozed." He said hoarsely between now distant coughs, another deep breath and a final weak cough and Ignis returned to his relaxed position in the seat he was sat in.
"Nah, dun let me ruin this for ya. Jus' ignore me." He said calmly, returning his attention to the spherical playing field, still empty, yet he was able to make it look as though he was merely staring at it absently.
His kind, brown eyes coolly looked from face to face, inspecting each and making notes of different characteristics that stood out to him. His examination was interrupted, however, as he heard a small commotion outside the box amongst some guards and unknown players. The interaction was too quiet to really pick up on what was going on. There could have been some kind of altercation, but he would not know. Though he strongly assumed it had something to do with the two figures walking through the VIP box door. A Summoner and a Guardian, no doubt, and this particular Summoner he knew well.
His tranquil brown eyes fell upon the fair skinned woman, known as Adiona. Naturally as a Maester, he knew of her excelling progress through the Spiran temples and her astounding capabilities as a Summoner. Also, he had met with her on social terms sometime prior to their meeting here. They may have had some form of a personal connection, but they both severed, for their own reasons. Closely beside her, her Guardian, Zero, stood protectively, prepared for anything. Scrutinizing the environment of the VIP box, the Guardian made sure to keep a tight hand on his blade until his Summoner was safely situated. As if any danger would befall them while in a VIP box and with a highly glorified Maester on top of that. Fortunately, no attempts had been made on Seymour’s life yet due to the love the citizens of Spira had for him. Regardless, outside of Spira, one, such as himself, never knew much of what conspiring went on. He was secluded and confined to the lands of Spira by his duty and status; thus, he had never left its shores.
As his pleasant, chocolate brown eyes regarded the two newcomers, he thought that it was intriguing to see the dedication and loyalty a Guardian showed for their Summoner, considering in the end, they would make the ultimate sacrifice to become one with Sin, essentially, killing themselves. This hidden fact was, without a doubt, amusing because no one else but the Maesters and Grand Maester knew of the truth behind the concept of Summoner and Guardian. The notion that an individual was offering their life unknowingly caused a dark, humorous delight in Seymour; however, he would never show it. A solid relationship could be discerned between Adiona and Zero, one made from respect and devotion, and Seymour knew that together they would persevere through and meet the end together. It appeared definite.
His blue hair shift as his head turned slightly to look upon a figure that was already present in the VIP box before Adiona and Zero had walked in. He appeared to be tired and bored, as if just waking up, though Seymour knew better. He noticed a sudden change in manner as Adiona and Zero had entered; nevertheless, he did not know where this change would lead and he made sure not to emphasis on it.
His attention was drawn to another, once again, as a musical voice rang through the air. Adiona proceeded to make a sign of Yevon, which Seymour promptly returned out of respect, before asking whether she could sit in his presence whilst the game initiated. A beaming and enthused smile grew on his face as he responded in a gentle tone, ”Of course you may! Come. Sit.” His words were soft and non-threatening as he took a vacant seat with two others beside it.
As he waited for her to sit, he asked in a politely inquisitive tone, ”Pardon my rather odd question; however, I have heard much of your development as a Summoner from second-hand sources and though, they may be fine on occasion, I prefer to hear things from the original source. Thus, I would like to ask for your input on your advancement through the trials of a Summoner? What do you think of your experiences thus far?” His words were respectful and well educated. He did not intend to offend when he asked her this, so hopefully he did not. He was merely curious of the personal views of a Summoner. It was a dream of his, when he was much younger, to attain the status and profession of a Summoner because he too wanted to rid the world of Sin – at the time. Regrettably, he threw his excellent chances at being a Summoner a long time ago, but thankfully, because now he had risen to a higher power and was more informed then when he was a simple child.
His eyes remained faithfully locked onto her, but they did not hold any signs of danger or whatnot. They were harmless and innocent as he waited for a response. He played the part of a passionate and concerned Maester well, in addition to the whole caring act. No one had broken through his grand theatre yet, and no one would until he was ready.
D istress and slight boredom laced it's self across Miumi's features. As he looked at Ignis who had just woken from his slumber. He just offered a soft smile and then there was Sonzai who smiled at as well. While he reached down and grabbed his teddy bear. It seemed he was hungry or something by the way he was grabbing his stomach. Apparently the ships food wasn't as good as they thought it was. As the seats around him began to fill out with people he looked down and saw Seymour and an eerie woman with black hair as well as her creepy looking guardian. He just gently placed his hands near where Seymour's shoulder was and pushed off ever so lightly. He felt a new surge of power for some reason it was that present he had opened last night. As he felt weightless he would land just a row ahead of Seymour. Which was still pretty empty walking down rather quickly. Those black locks spiraled around him as he walked. He gave an apologetic wave to both Adionia and Seymour. As the boy walked from the stadium holding his pass within his hand as he went to one of the stores. He was hungry for some reason he looked at the rows upon rows of different sweets and stuff that could be purchased. He placed a small pouch of his money down. He was obviously a sweet addict. They had things that smelt good to.

"It has been tiring mostly but I have acquired two aeons now and I am on my way to the third, I will not stop until I reach Zanarkand. I will bring the Calm to Spira and stop Sin...that is my goal and wish Maester Seymour."
Adiona twisted the black material on her skirt through her pale white fingers, her painted black fingernails matching her garments...her shoulder length white hair moving gracefully with the breeze. Another few had gathered in the VIP area but she tried not to pay too much attention to them, it was not her place to stare and ask questions on why they were in here...just like it wasn't really her place here either. Zero had forced them in with his usual forward approach, they had traveleld together a while now and she was starting to get used to his ways. Sighing a little Adiona looked over to Zero and then to Maester Seymour, she let her gaze stay a little longer on the Maester. In her mind now she couldn't really understand how her original plan would have worked, there was no way the Maester would agree to such a plan be it willing or under the impression she liked him more than just in a professional sense.
"I wonder when the games will start I am very anxious to keep moving along with my pilgrimage...."
Kefka hated to intermingle with others, much less the self-proclaimed "heroes" of the land. Gods above, their arrogance and sheer altruism made his insides churn with loathing and contempt. These stuck-up pretty boys did not deserve to be seated next to his presence, and the harlequin mage had each and every intention of not attending the opening to the Blitzball season back in, Heavens forbid, Spira. That backwater continent that waylaid him not once, not twice, but on three occasions.
Unfortunately, here he was, in his full court regalia and with a fresh application of makeup, his robes washed and ironed until they shimmered, and the outrageous plume on his head jutting upward with a regal and pompous air. The Court Mage's authority, it seemed, did not bypass Imperial protocol. By order of Emperor Gestahl himself ( and the fact that the doddering fool was even caring to keep such a close watch on his mage made this situation even more unbearable for Kefka), it was decreed that the one who "saved" the Spirans from the assault of Sin in Luca harbor should be the one to accept the Maester's gracious offer and gain an audience with him. Sure, political reasons were the top-most ideals of this whole fiasco, but it was also to sway the young Maester to Imperial lines of thinking. What with the existence of the Farplane and the aeons within Spira, thanks to Imperial intelligence, it would be a great scientific expidition to try and harness this new power for the good of the Empire, as they did with the Espers. Nevertheless, Kefka fought yellowed tooth and ruby nail to NOT go back to Spira. It was never his intention to help the Lucans in the first place! Sin was just in his way of setting out to open sea and heading for Vector! That wasn't heroism, it was clearing a road block!
But the Emperor's word was absolute, and Kefka was forced to go, though he griped the whole way there. It wasn't fair! He should be out there causing chaos and destruction (true, it would be in the Emperor's name, but it would still be chaos and destruction), not wasting away on some diplomatic mission to an inane ballgame! How could anyone even like this game at all? The players swam around in a giant orb of water and toss a ball to each other. Dear Lord, he was going to be bored out of his mind unless something like a fiend attack happened. And considering that the VIP's were class-A warriors and the stadium was guarded by a well-trained militia, the odds of that happening were extremely slim.
Now, he stood just outside the box gate, with two Imperial troopers whose sole function was to try and bolster Kefka's intimidating appearance. He waved them away back to the ship with a red-nailed hand, smoothed down his slick blonde hair, and pushed open the door.
Well, it seemed that a fair number of guests have made themselves present. Just in front of him was a trio of people, and one he immediately recognized as Maester Seymour Guado himself. That ridiculous hairstyle was very hard to miss on any front, as were his baggy blue robes. Kefka had to admit, the Maester's appearance made his by comparison look a little mundane. It would be a tie as to whose was more outlandish, in any case. The tall young man's hair, as stated, was beyong bizarre, with three jutting prongs that framed around his head like horns, one passing right over his face, and was stark blue. His clothes were a mixture of blue, green, and red robes ceremoniously clothing his freakish height. But most disconcerting of all was his face. The basic features were normal enough, Kefka supposed, but what really did the trick was the criss-crossing silvery spiderweb design that rippled all over him. And even that was thrown to the wayside when the mad mage took a glimpse into the man's eyes. They were brown, calm, and seemingly honest. But, Kefka was not fooled. They were deciever's eyes. It took a liar to know a liar, as the saying went, and this lad was so well-versed in it that the harlequin mage himself almost didn't pick it up at first. Oh, yes, this young Maester would be a fun one to talk to, indeed.
The two that the boy was talking to were less interesting by far. A young woman, pale as moonlight with a black dress and staff, and a morose, silent man with a katana at his side. Practically Beauty and the Beast, but nothing that the Court Mage wished to concern himself with at all. He shifted his gaze to the others in the room. A spoiled brat in a white trench coat, a hyper pyrotechnic, a rather uninteresting little magician, and...
Kefka's face cumpled with disgust. He was here, of all the places in Gaia, stuffing his face at the buffet table? That little demon twerp was just on the other side of the box, and Kefka now desired that he was far away from here. Not neccessarily because of any fear of the child, oh no. He had proven in their little bout that the boy was of no use to him or his schemes. No, Kefka was worried about the runt recognizing him and starting a commotion. But surely he wouldn't be stupid enough to do something like that. If the boy started to make accusations about the Mage, then Kefka would simply fire back that he knew not what he was talking about and use his influence within the Empire, which was considerable by the way, to clear any kind of charges that would be thrown at him as the unstable fantasies of a disturbed and quite possibly dangerous demon, thus putting the brat on the defensive for the rest of his journey. After all, who would the people believe: a scrawny demon whelp, or the known and substantially more well-protected Court Mage of an Empire? The odds were clearly stacked in Kefka's favor in this regard, and he hoped that the kid would recognize his disadvantage and keep his distance and his words.
Finding that everyone else was happily distracted at the moment, Kefka took this opportunity to sneak to the most unassuming seat in the box and keep his eyes on the dreary spectacle in front of him... and actual Blitzball game. Hoo boy, this was going to be a long day...
He took his place next to Adiona, as per usual. Standing as she talked to the Maester. He had to admit, although being out of Spira for awhile before returning to find himself a summoner to protect in the form of Adiona. He had heard of this Maester, and the supposed suspisions surrounding his rise to power. His father, Jyskal had mysteriously died. Leaving only his son the half breed to take over the Guado seat of Maester. To him it sounded like a typical case of noble son wanting power, and not willing to wait till nature put his parent in the ground.
Then there was something about the Maesters eyes. He had seen eyes like those before. They were just a mirror. Covering what truely lay beneath. No govermental power didn't have the odd skeleton in their closet. But Zero got the distinct feeling...this mans was closer to a graveyard.
There were others in this booth, a man who for a moment had been staring at himself and Adiona. And then had returned to relaxing in his seat. He'd have to keep an eye on him. Then another. Assumingly this one was a summoner as well. He gave the boy a dark glare as he sat down. Then there was another who entered the fray. One that was far different from the others. The Court Mage of the Magitek Empire. He'd worked for that empire once on his round the world tour whilst he was younger.
Of course, back then the court mage had looked slightly different. On that point. He had also heard about the Court Mage's recent escapades. In the Kingdom of Doma. Poisoning the people. He would have congratulated the man on ending the conflict with quickness, and with fewer casualities.
Admin Post:
The machinary in the arena began to whirr up, water begining to be pumped into the tank. The games were going to begin soon....the teams would be down below preparing themselves...
Rufus sat in complete silence, his face steadily and gradually grew more and more agitated. He turned his head as the Measter Seymour entered. Their eyes met, and for a moment it seemed as if someone had recognized Rufus at last. He was about to greet the Measter when Seymour suddenly turned away. Apparently Rufus was mistaken, and he had not recognized him. Rufus shut his mouth, and held his tongue; Seymour had an incredible amount of influence in the Spiran government, but he still didn't have the authority to give Rufus what he wanted, and thus there was no reason for Rufus to speak with him. He would be much more comfortable speaking directly to Mika.
A moment later two people, a man and a woman entered, summoner and guardian. They were both dressed in a dark sort of garb, and they both seemed prepared for trouble. Rufus narrowed his eyes. They seemed to radiate sternness, and Rufus then realized that it wasn't that they expected anything to happen, it just seemed in their nature to always be ready. Stiff. It was a bit unsettling. Rufus wasn't the only one to notice either, apparently; a man sitting in the corner, whom he had not seen upon entering the box, stirred. Rufus paid him no mind, but noted the effect the arrival of the summoner and guardian had on him.
Rufus cocked an eyebrow as he watched Seymour begin to make small talk with the Summoner, the woman. Rufus was a fellow politician, and as such he knew exactly what kind of man Seymour was, and was not fooled for a moment by his demeanor. Politicians are all the same; dark, plotting, conniving, moving toward their own motives while playing the saint. Typically speaking, the more saintly the politician acted, the more dark their motives... and considering that Seymour was an ACTUAL SAINT, Rufus was certain that he had more than his fair share of blood on his hands, probably even more than Rufus himself had. Yet another reason for Rufus to speak directly to Mika.
Then entered another person to the VIP booth. Another politician, no less. Kefka Palazzo, Court Magician and delegate of the Gestahlian Empire. He stood at the entrance, looking about the box. His eyes fell on Seymour for a moment, and then moved on, right past Rufus, and to the demon shoveling food into his face at the opposite end of the box. Rufus had to stop himself from shouting "Oh come on!" at the top of his voice. It was unfortunate that none of the Spirans recognized him, but Rufus attributed that to the low educational standards here, but the Empire as well? What? Had none of these people ever heard of foreign affairs? No respect at all! Rufus could have shot somebody just then... but he didn't. He merely took a deep breath and exhaled heavily through his gritted teeth, making a "Kfff" sound as the air passed through.
The magician took his seat without so much as a word to anyone else, and just as he did so the Blitz-sphere roared to life. Rufus looked up, angrily. The game was beginning, and yet Grand Measter Mika had not yet entered the box?! Did he intend on skipping the game entirely? Rufus was outraged! The only reason he was even here was to speak with Mika! Rufus looked down at the row in front of him, where Seymour sat. Seymour didn't have any authority on the matter, but he could arrange an audience with Mika later, if Rufus requested it. And perhaps, if Rufus could get Seymour on his side, he could then use his influence to sway Mika into giving a more favorable response, when the time came.
Realizing that the game would be starting soon, and determined not to let the day be a complete waste, Rufus cleared his throat. Seymour may not recognize Rufus' face, but hopefully he'd recognize his voice. He leaned forward as soon as there was a lull in the Maester's conversation and spoke. "Excuse me, Measter."
Post by Lady Summoner Adiona Duer on Jan 7, 2010 13:32:01 GMT
Adiona looked over to the gentleman who had wished to speak to Maester Seymour and then quickly looked away, it was none of her business to listen to their conversation but still keeping an ear open wouldn't do her any harm. The young summoner placed her hands on her legs and kept her gaze straight waiting for the games to begin, a bliztball fan she was not but any break from this pilgrimage was welcomed as long as it did not harm her chances of obtaining the final aeon and bring the calm to Spira. Clearing her throat lightly Adiona then turned her attention back to her lone guardian and well...friend Zero, stood tall and proud she let a light smile form on her face.
"Doesn't it get lonely doing what you do? I mean ever since you were kicked out of the temple for that...incident no one from Bevelle ever really heard about your whereabouts."
Body language was everything, and his radiated a kind and caring intent as he regarded the pale woman he was addressing. His chocolate brown eyes were gentle as they gazed at her and their concentration was not broken, even as a small hand gingerly touched his shoulder before pushing itself off. The force was not distracting and it did not disrupt his focus on the female Summoner, though when the source, Miumi, gave him an apologetic wave to dismiss his action, Seymour nodded partially, acknowledging the Demon child.
Adiona’s voice was soft when she spoke of her adventure thus far. Seymour nodded politely as Adiona spoke of her journey and goal for her future. Before Seymour had the chance to reply to the young woman, his eyes were drawn to a rather colourful character that just entered the box. Though he lived solely on the continent of Spira and rarely left its domain, he was still well informed on happenings in the world of Gaia. He was not completely in the dark. This man, he assumed, was the vibrant and twisted character known as Kefka Palazzo, a man that slaughtered an entire town with ease. He was associated with the Gestahlian Empire and though he was known for being ruthless, he had aided Luca, recently, in fending off Sin; explaining why he was here now.
The man appeared well educated in cruel arts, but was also known for some diplomacy now and then – though only on rare occasions. Seymour imagined the only explanation for the insane, clown-like man’s presence was he was ordered to, not because he wanted to be here. A thin, internal smirk adorned his mouth, not visible to anyone else, as an interesting thought toyed around in his head. Maybe this man could assist him in Spira’s destruction? Maybe he could be of some use to him here? Different possibilities tumbled around in his mind. The multi-coloured man was a known killer, so he may be resourceful to Seymour. Nevertheless, Seymour had to be careful when he consulted with the man because he could not ruin his status as just and pure and socializing with such a dangerous man could do just what he did not want.
Returning his thoughts and mind to the lady that sat beside him, he answered her in a gracious tone. ”My dear, I praise your accomplishments and I understand this line of duty is hard. So, if you ever need any help, do not hesitate to ask. I would be more than willing to lend you any aid if you ever needed it.” His face was genuine, but his thoughts were dark. This woman could be of more aid to him that he could to her. When he was young, he forfeited the chance to become a Summoner, out of dismay for his mother's death. This meant that he could not attain any summons or get the chance to defeat Sin on his own and merge with it. Consequently, there was a chance he could use this woman to fulfill his wish. If he became close enough to her, he could potentially be used as her Final Aeon and sacrifice himself to become Sin. Of course, she did not know that in the process, she would die. That was a secret the Maesters held alone.
He wished to continue scheming, however, he was interrupted by a voice behind his, asking for his attention. Prior to turning around, Seymour whispered to the girl so no other could here, ”My dear, it would please me if I may have your council after this day. There are some things I wish to discuss privately, with you alone.” That said, he eyed her Guardian, Zero, and nodded respectfully before turning to face the source of the disturbance. Seymour had mixed feelings about Zero. Zero seemed to be able to see right through his guise and mask, which could possibly lead to his downfall. No matter, he would not focus on that right now.
Turning around in his seat, he finally recognized the man in the white coat that sat behind him, begging for his attention. It was none other than the Vice President of the Shin-Ra Company, Rufus. It would appear that the man was spoiled and did not enjoy the fact that he had, thus far, been ignored. A short anger flared inside Seymour’s warped and calculating mind. So, this rich kid thinks that being ignored for a few minutes is aggravating, hm? How about he tries being ignored by the world for the greater part of his childhood and we shall see how he turns out then.
His internal annoyance did not reflect themselves in his immaculate features. On the exterior, he was composed and genteel, only the interior was chaotic, though he had enough control to hide it well. ”Forgive me, Rufus, I failed to recognize you when I first entered. My thoughts have been rather muddled of late, with Sin’s recent attack and all, I must apologize. Is there something you seek of me personally, or anything I can help you with? I understand that you are very hard-pressed for time, so I know that your presence here is not just for the entertainment.” His tone was pristine and thoughtful, showing a great depth of insight. His voice or words were not rude in the slightest, but sincere because he displayed the fact that understood that one of Rufus’ status was constantly busy; thus, his attendance was not just for the game, in fact, it was for business.
He could feel the atmosphere of the box ease somewhat because he could hear the sounds of the machinery begin to come to life as the giant sphere in the middle of the field began to fill with water. Now, everyone would hopefully relax a bit more and enjoy themselves. However, whilst this all took place, Seymour would be intently discussing matters with the Shin-Ra Vice President.

Zero stared at Seymour, the mask falling away before his eyes. The dark guardian had known too many politicians to be fooled by that face. A smiling face that hid dark intent within it. One that he couldn't stand in front of him. Nevermind talking to his summoner. If he wern't in such a high position. Zero would have carved those lying eyes out of his skull. Yes the temptation was there. The man was a leader of his religion. A religion that he still followed, Even in his travels throughout Gaia, he remained stead fast in the teachings of Yevon.
Yet he had a feeling that those teachings meant nothing but power to this man. Regardless. He drew his eyes away from Seymour as the man turned his attention to Rufus. The silent warden turned to Adiona as she asked him a question. Didn't he get lonely doing what he did?
And just what was it that he did? Kill people? Train himself? Throughout all the time he'd been her guardian. They'd exchanged practically nothing other than words about her pilgrimidge. They had once been students together under the warrior monks. Zero himself had been training to become one of Yevon's warriors. And yet, all of that had ended in a flash of rage. He had killed his sparring partner. The bastard deserved the slow death for mocking him in the first place.
He'd been thrown out then. Well, not the words used exactally. But they refused to train him any further. So he'd left. Not another word, on the first boat to Midgar. To train himself in the only other way he knew. See the world. Fight in wars. And that he'd done for the past four years. He looked down at Adiona's smile. " Not particularly...".
He answered with that at first. But then continued. " It had to be done....as I was...I was too weak....It was either put down my sword...or find someplace where being a forsaken warrior monk didn't matter....".

Adiona turned her head back to Maester Seymour as he spoke quietly, her eyes opened wide as he wished to seek her private counsel. Adiona almost choked as she did not expect this but the young summoner kept her cool and smiled brightly to the maester.
"Of course my lord as you wish, whenever you wish to speak to me I shall come."
Turning her attention back to Zero Adiona did not smile this time but found herself longing to be let in deeper with him. There was something beyond his wall that Adiona wanted to be let into, she let a hand slide down his arm to his sword letting her fingers slide over the blade before taking her hand away and lying it on her lap.
"I would find it lonely Zero....I can't imagine travelling without you...I mean without a guardian now it would be very lonely and....well I don't know."
W ith his arms full of sugary goodness and food, he placed them gently on Ayamu's arms he carried some of the lighter objects, while Miumi carried the heavier and more delicious things. As he was walking up the rows he saw someone, he had missed earlier. it was Zero. As Miumi saw him, he felt a burning pain within his stomach and he began to keep moving just gently coming up closer to the man. Miumi would drop something it was some weird spiran food and it would splatter on the ground as if trying to save it Miumi would bring his body closer to Zero. Miumi had a message for him, he spoke low enough tat only Zero could hear what he was saying and he let Ayamu keep walking it seemed that Miumi was holding a grudge not for what he had done to Miumi himself but his guardians. He had hurt his family and opened a door that may very well lead to the very gates of hell once his message was delivered he kept walking and took his seat near his guardians. He knew that man could strike him down, but he wouldn't not infront of the maester, Miumi was a summoner just like his own, Miumi also had two guardians as well as the support of a few within the crowd. While he saw a few other faces, Kefka.... but Miumi control his rage the words he spoke echoed within his mind.
" The Fayth tell me to go on, they know the reason I fight and they entrusted me with power.... and my guardians trust me with their life.... I will not stop fighting as long as they are in danger.... I will bring peace to the people of Spira, weither your Summoner kills Sin or not... I will bring unity...."." "
He bluntly stated. " I told you I'll be here till the end....I'll protect you even if it means death....". His face was, as per usual. Blank. His mind would seem elsewhere. And in truth. It was. His mind lay on Seymour, he didn't like the way the man looked at Adiona. Like a slab of meat. Of course. To him. This wasn't in the sexual fasination most would attribute to the meaning. He meant that seymour was like a hyena...staring at Adiona like meat. Ready to devour her. And his duty as a guardian was that he would protect her throughout the pilgrimige. To be by her side through it all.
And if she was threatened by something. It was his duty to remove that obstical from their path. Whether it was a bandit. Monster. Or a Maester of Yevon.
His eyes moved down to Adiona, her hand touching his arm and moving down to his sword. He'd never normally let anyone that close. For a moment his hair almost seemed to stand on end. And then...something distracted him. Someone had dropped food nearby him. His eyes moved down to see who. And there he was. The demon summoner he'd attacked on the boat that day. His eyes squeezed into a silent glare. As the boy whispered his message. So. Clearly his brief stint with death hadn't left a lasting impression. Foolish.
He did not reply. For. He didn't need to. His silence spoke for him. The demon wasn't worthy of the words.
Ignis was making it a point to keep a close eye on both Miumi and Zero. His lapse on the voyage to Kilika was still gnawing away inside of him, and this time, he was close at hand and ready to step up should "Sir Lorgana" decide to attack again. Yet. Ignis allowed himself a small smile as he thought about it and wondered just how the Maester would react to the news that Zero had attacked another Summoner. Getting to his feet Ignis strolled around the room, acting as though he was looking at the lavish furnishing, and every so often strolling over to the table of food, looking at something and then deciding against eating it.
"Hmm. I 'unno. I ain't got everythin' back yet." He figured it would be a bad idea to directly provoke Zero just yet, if it came down to a fight he would more than likely be put down swiftly, and right now that would be a bad thing. So he decided on another method entirely, he casually walked back to his seat and sat in silence for a while, merely thinking about the best way to go about this.
"Well Ziggy, here we are. I wanna see just how much I can push him before he'll decide to attack me. Hell, even if he doesn't attack me here. He'll slip up somewhere down the line." He got back to his feet, casting another glance over to the large sphere slowly filling with water, walked back over to the table, picked up a glass of water, drank it in one and then pressed onwards, casually strolling over to The Lady Summoner and her "fearless" Guardian.
"'Scuse me, my Lady Summoner." He said as he drew close, making the sign of Yevon as he said it. He flashed a small glance at Zero along with a small smirk, hoping that the Guardian would see it. Well, he had no real idea what he intended to do here, making small talk would seem. Well, just fine considering Ignis' personality and his attire, yet he did not want to merely make idle chat.
"I've heard a lot about ya. And am somethin' of a 'fan' if you'll let me say. I mean, I hafta admit, any summoner gets my respect for bein' so selfless." He said, trying to sound honest, he shrugged openly in a gesture that he hoped would read as "I'm at a loss for what to say." He felt awkward, ignoring everyone else around for the time being he allowed a small silence to pass and then spoke again.
"I myself have only really jus' started figurin' what I'm gonna do with my life. ya' know, younger person, all that jazz. An' I was just wonderin' if ya'd. Well. Consider this a personal favor to me, ya dun' hafta do it. It'd jus' make me feel better knowin' that the next High Summoner was on the case. A short time ago, my father was travellin' along the road, protecting a merchant and his stock. He was killed in action by a fiend he jus' couldn' stand against in the end. They said it was in the Thunder Plains when it happened. When you reach that point on ya Pilgrimage. Would ya consider jus' doin' a sendin' for me. I jus' wanna know that he ain't become a fiend." He said, hoping, beyond hope that his little speech sounded truthful. Of course that was as far from the truth as it got, his real father had been mercilessly slaughtered during those awful "Drake Slaughters" named appropriately. He wondered if this Adiona would actually stop to do the Sending, though he was just trying to get under Zeros' skin.

Adiona turned her head to this man who had approached her, he seemed quite cock sure of himself just by the way he moved but she knew not to judge a book by its cover. Bowing her head lightly and making the sign of Yevon Adiona smiled to the man.
"Thank you for your kind words and I shall be honoured to perform the sending for your father. I am sorry to hear he departed this world under such horrific and devastating circumstances, but yes once I reach the Thunder Plains I shall perform the sending.....I'm sorry I don't even know your name."
It was quite embarrassing she didn't know his name but then again he hadn't even mentioned it so it wasn't too bad. Adiona then glanced up to Zero who didn't seem to be very amused by this whole thing, since they started their journey he didn't seem impressed by much.
A disembodied voice said, from nowhere. For some reason this unsettled Zero. It wasn't something he liked. But it was something he was used to. He didn't like to admit it, but he heard voices. Usually, this was a sign of madness. But apparantly it was a family trait. Although he looked human, he wasn't. His family belonged to a species known as the ancients. People who came before humans. With heightened magical powers. And a deep seated connection to the planet. Sometimes the disembodied voice represented the voice a dead person. Sometimes...more likely. It was the voice of the planet itself. Speaking to him.
And he knew who it was talking about. Seymour. " Don't trust her". This was more suprising. He imagined it could only mean Adiona. " Watch them both" . His eyes, slitted carefully. Anger building up. But his face remained passive. " Danger". He didn't quite know the meaning of the cryptic message. But it had unsettled him. He'd grown to trust in Adiona, in truth she had been one of the few that he'd let get this close. But, the voice never lied. It had no reason to. Which meant there was more to this than met the eye. He would do as the voice said.
He'd watch them both carefully.
As this occured, the blitz arena finished filling, and the first match began. The Luca Goers versus the Kilika Beasts. The crowd cheered.
A flyer from the lower stands caught a particularly shifty gust of wind. Ripped from the unprepared hands of the individual reading it, the paper floated on the breeze. Children tried to catch it as a game, but it remained elusive, only lower itself enough to tease them and then be whisked away in a flash by the capricious wind. It guided itself through the stands and by coincidence flew across the views of the many exclusive spectators.
Anyone who might have had the ability or sheer luck to catch the whimsical flyer would find nothing more than an advertisement on it. Looking over it the flyer read…
[glow=white,2,300]Bodyguard Looking for Work![/glow]
From the streets of Midgar rises a man of skill and integrity! With swordsmanship and blue magic, he looks to use his abilities to protect and guard the people of the world who would need him. Competent and capable, Buddy offers his unique talents and style of personal protection with complete devotion to his contracts!
As cheesy as the flyer was, the authenticity was real and just outside the stadium without a ticket to get in, sat the begrudged bodyguard himself. He would just have to wait until the games were over and his flyers had taken effect for someone to notice him and accept his services. There was a good chance that someone needed or wanted him in Spira, considering the place was in a constant threat of attack by some dangerous "thing" known as Sin. He had even heard of people running across the continent itself to find power to defeat it. If someone like that had the money, then someone like that had this loyal man by their side for the duration of their contract.
